Total Drama Sims: Season 3

After 2 successful seasons of Total Drama Sims, I'm thrilled to announce that we're coming back once again to bring you another thrilling season of teenagers humiliating themselves!

But that's just the good news. Want the REALLY good news??

Our budget has expanded, meaning that this season, we are increasing our cast size from 14 to 18!!

SO! If your teen sim is bored, wants a brush of notoriety, or simply wants something fun to do, you've come to the right place! TDS is looking for 18 brave, competitive teenagers to compete in crazy, wacky challenges (safety/lack of danger not guaranteed, as always) in pursuit of the grand prize!

WHAT’S NEW THIS SEASON?

Aside from increasing our cast size, TDS3 will once again be incorporating new (and returning) gameplay mechanics to keep everything jazzed-up and fresh!

For starters, from Mt. Komorebi to Chestnut Ridge, we will be traveling all over the Sims world! This season, each challenge will be taking place in a different city/world. So, to get around, TDS has rented a (totally-not-rundown) plane to serve as our cast's place of lodging, food, and of course, the elimination ceremonies!

Along with double eliminations returning this season (two people are eliminated instead of one), TDS3 will consist of 3 teams instead of 2 to accommodate for the increased cast size! TDS3 will also be introducing an immunity idol! If a contestant finds the immunity idol, they will be safe from elimination should they get the most votes in an elimination ceremony. Instead of them, the person with the second most votes gets eliminated!

To sign up for TDS3, you must reserve a spot with me! You can do this by DMing me, sending an ask, or commenting on this post. Reservations are first-come-first serve. I will write your username down and from there, you can make and submit your sim!

Read on for a refresher on what this competition is all about and UPDATED (again) submission rules (so if you had a sim compete in previous seasons, make sure to read them again!)

THE GIST:

This competition is, obviously, based off of the Total Drama series (a show that’s near and dear to me), but you do not need any background knowledge of this show to participate! The show (and this competition) functions similarly to a Bachelor Challenge, where contestants will be routinely eliminated until there is a sole winner.

This competition will also focus on the contestants building relationships with each other (hence the drama part, which is bound to happen when you put 18 teenagers together!)

SUBMISSION RULES:

If for any reason you’d like to give up your reservation, contact me ASAP so I can give that reservation to someone else!

If you competed in previous seasons, you MAY compete again (even if your sim won the competition!), but please don't resubmit the same sim(s) you used in previous seasons. New sims only, please!

Your sim must be a teen

No occults; contestants must be human only (to prevent unfair advantages)

Contestants must not have any high-level skills (they can have some level of skill but nothing above lvl 5; also to prevent unfair advantages)

Only one outfit per category please

Any amount and type of CC is fine, just make sure to include it when you send your sim over to me

To keep your sim looking as intended, please keep your sim pack-friendly! As there is a possibility of sims entering romantic relationships with others, PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR SIM'S SEXUALITY/ROMANTIC ORIENTATION! (Sims with unspecified sexualities/orientations will be assumed to be pan). Nothing NSFW will be shown or mentioned, as of course I’ll be portraying minors. PLEASE let me know if you don’t want your sim to enter any romantic relationships!

Please give your sim a backstory. The more detailed the better. Describe what they’re like, why they’re competing on Total Drama Sims, etc.

Your sim can have any traits/aspirations

HERE IS HOW THE COMPETITION WILL WORK:

The 18 contestants will be split into 3 teams of 6

The 3 teams will compete in challenges in attempt to win invincibility (safety from being voted off). The losing team will have to vote someone off (the other teams will not be part of voting). If one of the teams is reduced to less than 3 contestants, that team is dissolved and the remaining 2 contestants each join the two surviving teams.

This process continues until 8 contestants remain. Afterwards the teams dissolve and everyone competes individually (this is known as merge). This means that only 1 contestant can win invincibility; everyone else will be at risk for elimination

When merge occurs, all eliminated contestants at that point will be eligible to rejoin the game through a special challenge. The winner of that challenge will rejoin the game (bringing the number of contestants back to 9)

This process again continues until 2 contestants remain. In the finale, all eliminated contestants will vote for a winner

Challenges will occur half the time. The other half of the competition will be socialization days, where contestants are free to socialize with each other as they please

The competition will start with a socialization day first to establish relationships before the first challenge

Voting will be determined by relationship dynamics and how everyone did in the challenge. Contestants who do poorly are more likely to get voted. Contestants who have a negative relationship with each other are also more likely to get voted. Conversely contestants who have a positive relationship with each other are less likely to get voted. The contestant with the most votes at the end is eliminated. All of this will be determined by a spinner (in case of a tie I will use a random number generator to determine who’s out). This will also determine who wins at the end of the competition.

REWARD FOR THE WINNER:

This competition is mostly for the funsies, but whoever wins this competition will personally receive an actual reward from me! You have a choice between the following options:

NO DEADLINE! Submissions will close when all 18 spots are filled/reserved. Please provide your sim’s tray files as soon as convenient! (Let me know if you need help with this. I will teach you if you don’t know how!)

I will be updating the number of spots reserved periodically and will announce when all 18 spots are taken, but if you’re ever unsure, don’t be afraid to DM me/send an ask!

I am hoping to start TDS3 in January, so if you're busy because of school/work/life and the holidays, you will have plenty of time to reserve spots and make your sims!

Hello everyone!! How are you today??

This is going to be a long post... I'm warning you haha but I will try to make it as simple as I can:

These poses are a comission for one of my best friends in the community. When she asked me to do them, I was really happy with the idea and I made these poses really fast and with all my heart haha. I loved the results, but then there was the time to test them... and it was quite more complicated than i anticipated it.... I had to test these poses like 40 times, but I'm finally able to say that they are the best they can be.

We didn't know it was going to be that hard to make them work ingame, but unfortunately, they were... and they still are a little tricky to use, but I tried to make them the less difficult to be used as I could.

Making poses to be use with sims in Sulani waters is a real nightmare...

Anyway, this pose pack consist of 2 similar sequences, and are made so that you can combine one sequence with the other.

- Sequence #1 is done with 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant (Poses #1 to #7).

- Sequence #2 is done with 2 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler (Poses #8 to #14).

- Poses #15 and #16 are bonus poses of the child in the boat inside the water.

so for example: you can have 2 toddlers instead of 1 toddler and 1 child/infant, using the toddler from the 2nd sequence in the 1st sequence and not using the infant poses but the poses with the female alone; or you can also make 2 toddlers and 1 child, adding the toddler from the 1st sequence into the 2nd one; or 2 toddlers and 1 infant; or you can use just the child poses in "Moana" style... xD

However, there are some exceptions where two poses cannot be used at the same time. But in general I tried to make them quite versatile... at least with the children sims.

And God bless Twisted Mexi for the search mod, cause it makes testing poses 100% fast and easier....

Anyway, even if the pack is a little bit tricky, I encourage you to try it. It's a good pack, and I'm no saying it 'cause I'm the maker... or ' cause it was a lot of work xD but because I think it so.

Plopsy Seller Career

Finally, I can give you my brand-new and huge career mod, Plopsy Seller. This career mod is, as I said, huge. See the features list below for more details on just how much it includes. The career has five levels with each shift being four hours long. That said, you probably won’t want to “go to work” but instead will want to choose “work from home” that way you will receive two assignments from a selection of 50+ crafting tasks. Each crafting type of assignment requires that the crafting type of object be on the lot or else it won’t appear. Say you place an Easel but not a Gemology Table. That means you’ll get Painting tasks but not Jewelry Crafting tasks. This was done so you can only craft the type of crafts you want and to make all crafting types optional. Okay, the first question is tell us all about the computer, the second is what sodding processor does it use that will allow you to play Sims 3? Like the graphic btw, it looks like a They Might Be Giants video.

​I actually haven't been able to install/play TS3 at ALL! I've never had a problem running TS3 before, so this sucks!

At first I thought it was the EA App effing up--I had it install the base game and all the EPs at once, but that didn't work, so I figured OK, let me uninstall everything and ONLY install the base game. That FINALLY got the TS3 Folder to appear in Documents, and the Launcher finally loaded. But every time I click Play, it instantly crashes back to the EA App. I have zero mods or Store CC installed or anything. And the "Repair" button on the EA App appears to do EFF ALL, so.... *whimpers*

I never had a laptop with Nvidia and different V-RAM/GPU components, so I'm a fish out of water as far as specs go with this new PC, since my dinosaurs ran TS3 just fine, LOL. Before this I was on a Win10 8GB Dell laptop (2017-2023), and before that I was on a 4GB Vista HP laptop (2009-2017).

This new laptop is a Win11 Asus--it runs Baldur's Gate 3 (barely, LOL, even my Steam Deck is crying), so I have no clue why it can't run TS3:

hello again!

today we're gonna talk about my guitars for the new ep! buckle up, this is gonna be a long one.

first off, i've done a about half of this ep on my stock fender classic player jaguar special hh. it's a 24" scale and it's actually tuned b to b and it sounds SO good. like. it's kind of unreal how well it holds a baritone tuning. generally, i have the neck pickup rolled off to coil split (i generally don't love a neck humbucker, honestly) and the bridge is whatever it needs to be, song by song. i don't really use the tremolo arm ever unless i'm just messing around - i try to put this thing out of tune as little as possible during a show. this guitar can do ANYTHING. it's so tonally versatile it's fucking stupid, truly. i am a lucky girl to own this.

next up is the other half: my squier classic vibe baritone custom telecaster! this is also tuned b to b, but it's got a 27" scale, so it's got a much more traditional baritone sound. i have always always ALWAYS loved the versatility of a telecaster and when they put out an affordable baritone version, it was an absolute no-brainer for me. i love the range and the tonal differences that a baritone brings to indie music - thrice is one of my favourite bands of all time, and their use of baritones (and their gear in general [duh, for those in the know]) REALLY inspired me. i've been using this on a lot of the really wet stuff and the really clean stuff, but also just for some stereo guitars to lean into some tonal differences or just because it flat out feels right. i love this thing, too. it really is so flexible and fun to play (and it weighs NOTHING, which is kind of unique for a tele lol). i've replaced the output jack and jack plate and i've flipped the control panel because i'm notorious for punching my pickup selector while playing.

both guitars are strung with d'addario medium baritone strings (.14-.68).

finally, for amps and pedals... well. the future is here and i, for one, welcome our modeller overlords.

this is gonna seem like a lie based on what you're looking at here, but i'm really pretty simple with my setups - i am a set it and forget it kind of woman.

for rhythm parts, i am using a fawn vox ac30 (blue alnico) and a fender deluxe reverb (oxford) in tandem, generally being pushed by an earthquaker pillars and an xotic ep booster (bruises uses a klon, just depends on the kind of push i need). little bit of compression with the xotic sp compressor, then, as necessary for wetter parts: line 6 echo park, line 6 space chorus, a boss ce-1, a boss ac-2 and a fender vibratone (lol). in terms of helix-only effects, i'm using the line 6 heliosphere delay and hot springs reverb.

for LEADS however, we're all over the place. all kinds of shit. i generally run a higher gain amp, like a bogner shiva (uberkab t75) or a marshall jcm-800 (jensen p12q [grammatico amp]/marshall basketweave g12 m25). I was actually really pleased with how good the shiva is for lead work in our sad queer indie rock songs - this is an amp that like alice and chains and korn use and it really adds the right amount of twinkle and beautiful bummer to our songs about autism and queerness and millennial disillusionment and i just think that's such a funny juxtaposition. anyways.

for taurus, i'm using the bogner and running the xotic ep booster again, way huge red llama, dunlop mxr timmy, mxr phase 90, and auto-volume echo from the line 6 dl4. simple stuff.

for re-run, i'm using the jcm-800 and pushing it with a tube screamer when it gets huge. boss tr-2, boss dm-2 with adrian mod, tc electronic 2290, tape eater from the line 6 mm4, simple tube comp, and the line 6 feedbacker. i also have a looper set up so I can include some post-rock tremolo picked yumminess without it taking up all my focus. this is definitely my most complex rig in the helix, but even still - not too wild. like i said. set it and forget it.

so yeah! that's pretty much it for my guitars this time around. i'm gonna guess that we'll do mj's guitars next but who knows! life is a mystery and it is for living! see y'all soon.
