You’re so right! Mack‘s vibe in that interview is very much oscillating between get me out of here and I get to tell a story about being included (Love when he says he has absolutely no aux rights in the locker room, so he’s just vibing to everybody else’s music) Also the awful interviewer is not Mack’s brand of older guy unfortunately for him and everyone else watching. 💀

yeah aiden seemed to vibe with him a little more, or at least was a better actor about it, but imo mack haaaates to be on the outside of a joke so bad it kind of takes over everything else. for me it's giving that moment from the draft where you can see the smile fall off his face when he doesn't find the joke very funny, but he's media trained enough to try anyway. (the "get me out of here" eyes. you understand.)

yall is there an aromantic term for “I like the idea of being in a romantic relationship in theory but irl I would rather crumble into a dried raisin” bcs these google searches aint helpin. Aegoromantic seemed right at first, but then I found that its more disconnected from the aro person themself and focused on them enjoying the idea of romantic relationships being depicted using others in stuff like fanfic. (unless I got the definition wrong) Lithoromantic doesnt seem right either because its feeling romantic attraction to someone, and then it ends once its reciprocated. It feels different from cupioromantic because they want a relationship, but feel none of the attraction. I like the idea of it, like daydreaming famtasies abt just snoozing with a romantic partner, but once I tap back into reality I go: hell naw.

Can someone tell me if I got the definitions wrong or if what Im feeling is different. Because I like reading x reader fanfics, in fact its like a good 3/4 of what I read. I like the idea of being in a relationship with someone who I genuinely love and doing all the marriage lovey dovey stuff IN THEORY. But once I get out of my head and the fanfics and think abt if I would actually do it? Actually kiss, cuddle, date, and settle down with someone that way? Nah Im good.

A.J Pollard’s biography on Edward IV was so cringe lol (generic; minor but frustrating inaccuracies; intensely judgmental at times and oddly dismissive at others while never considering the broader context; entirely diminished and trivialized Elizabeth Woodville as both queen and wife of his main subject in the name of "defending" her; created a false dichotomy between Edward and Henry VII’s styles of ruling and lauded the latter at the former’s expense even though Henry literally followed Edward’s example for the very things Pollard was criticizing Edward for; had a downright nonsensical and thoroughly misleading conclusion about Edward’s legacy & Richard’s usurpation that was based entirely on hindsight, Pollard's own assumptions, and the complete downplaying Richard’s agency and actions to emphasize what Pollard wrongly and misleadingly claimed were Edward's so-called 'failings', etc, etc)

I wanted to buy his book on Henry V but after reading this shitshow and the synopsis of that book, im guessing it's going to be 10x worse, so...no thanks

It truly pains me to say this. But it's looking more and more like Warrior nun was never saved. Not the Warrior nun that Simon and the cast and the writing/producing team lovingly created.

Rather seems the end goal for Dean English was always his original plan. A movie adaptation of the source material. Which is to say the comics. The alleged new producing company is owned by dean English. And he has been apparently working closely with Ben Dunn. They have no claim over Netflix's warrior nun, that includes Ava, Beatrice and whichever original character they introduced. I'm so sorry for all the hard work that the fandom pulled off to gain traction and attention to the show. What I don't know and can't even speculate on is why the hell did Simon Barry announced that Warrior nun was saved only to now wash his hands clean of whatever is going on. Not cool of him, really not cool

I really wanted to get our beloved characters back, but it don't think it will happen. And to me personally the bottom line is that as long as capitalism is allowed to keep bleeding the entertainment business dry, good shows will keep getting cancelled after barely 1-2 seasons, we'll keep getting shows with no more than 10-8 episodes per season (which causes rich complex deep character and plot development to suffer from being shortened). The impact and almost sure success of the WAG strike is definitely a first step in the right direction. But until us consumers find a way to fuck up their cannibalistic market model this will keep happening, specially to LGBTQIA+ shows, specially to shows with lesbian/WLW leading characters.

what i like about ada's report, & i'll get into it more eventually, is that despite it being ada explaining the plot (& her motivations) to you directly, it presents an interesting relationship between ada, a known liar & manipulator, & the audience. while she withholds information from other characters & skirts about on mystery throughout RE4 & separate ways, there is one person to whom she doesn't lie, to whom she does tell the truth, at least a part of it, & that is you, the player. it is a very neat narrative device that wouldn't work as well in a different medium
