"wait—what if someone sees?"

you pull away from seungcheol hurriedly, cheeks still warm with blush as seungcheol cradles your chin with his hands. he's searching your eyes, too focused on what was happening before even saying anything. the two of you had retreated to the car after mingyu had to say goodbye.

("retreated to the car" basically meaning that seungcheol had pulled you out of there as soon after mingyu said he had to go.)

"let them see, darling. i can't wait anymore." seungcheol pouts, and you don't even try to fight him, letting him bring his lips back to yours as he sighs dreamily under you.

it had been a long day for seungcheol—the two of you had decided to hang out with mingyu since his plans with everyone else were canceled last minute, and mingyu had flirted with you the whole time, unknowingly upsetting seungcheol in the process.

seungcheol knew that you loved him and were his girlfriend, but seeing mingyu attempt cheezy pickup lines and buy you lunch made seungcheol see red.

and, what made it even worse, was that you didn't even seem to notice that mingyu was flirting with you, going along with his acts of kindness without a second thought.

"seungcheol—" you pause, sentence swallowed by another one of seungcheol's warm kisses against your lips. "seungcheol, wait."

"what?" seungcheol's voice is nearly a growl now, and you put a hand on his chest, softly pushing him away as you pause to catch your breath.

seungcheol waits patiently, dark eyes glued to your figure as the setting sun lights up your back in a halo of light. you look beautiful in this moment—so beautiful seungcheol just wants to kiss you even more.

"did i do something? why are you acting like this?" you ask innocently, and seungcheol lets his head fall against the chair, letting out a pained sigh as he runs a hand through his dark hair. his thick eyebrows crease together, pouty lips pressed together as he glares at you.

"cheol, use your words, oh my god." you sigh exasperatedly, and seungcheol rolls his eyes, cheeks heating up as he crosses his arms.

"mingyu was flirting with you, and it was pissing me off. hell, it still is pissing me off, angel." seungcheol's voice is low, embarrassed, and you stare at him with confusion painted all over your face as you repeat his words. "mingyu? flirting with me?"

"yes, he was flirting with you. did you hear all the stupid pick-up lines he was using on you? the asshole even paid for your fucking lunch. that's my job." seungcheol argues, and your eyes widen, face flushing.

"i just thought he was being nice." you mumble embarrassed, and seungcheol rolls his eyes, slamming them shut as he mumbles. "of course you did, angel. you think everyone's nice."

the two of you fall silent, cheeks flushed for different reasons. you sit quietly, stunned that seungcheol had reacted to mingyu's flirting in such a way. seungcheol, on the other hand, was flushed because of anger. mingyu had his time to steal you away today, and you unknowingly let him.

"oh. i'm sorry." you whisper, and seungcheol shakes his head, looking at you as he takes your hands in his.

"no, don't be sorry, darling. if anything, i should be apologizing because of how i reacted. i—" seungcheol pauses, taking a sharp inhale as he shrugs, jean jacket ruffling with his movements. "it made me so angry, seeing mingyu flirt with you like that. i never wanted to have the world to know you were mine more than in that moment.

you lock eyes with seungcheol, studying the strong slope of his nose and the plumpness of his lips. his thick eyebrows are unfurrowed now, resting against his face calmly as he gives you a small smile.

"you're mine though, right? not mingyu's?" seungcheol asks softly, and you nod, laughing as seungcheol leans over. his face is now just a few centimeters from yours, and he tucks your hair behind your ear, staring into your eyes as you answer.

"yours, cheol. only yours."

I really don't understand how tecnet works, I've just finished reading IDW and started watching some shows but I don't get how it works on Prowl. In the Combiner Wars op mentions about it like something Prowl can turn off, can he turn it off? If he can why he doesn't? And what function does it have. If there's a series or smth like that which can enlighten me please share it 🙏 It's an interesting topic :>

Basically. He is like Connor from "Detroit become human" and Garnet from "Steven Universe" in one person. TacNet allows him to calculate possible variations of future events based on the information he has but also it lets him simulate possible variations of events that already happened while he wasn't there.

It's like. Imagine if you want to build some mechanism in your game but you don't want to mess it up so you create a separate save file and make a bunch of test runs to see which results you'll get? Before returning to your main save with new knowledge?

This is basically the same I believe.

Whenever Prowl needs to calculate something he sorta opens a separate save file inside his head and does a lot of different test runs to see how everything works out.

That is. OF COURSE. How it's described in canon. It described as a super interesting tool with tons of incredible opportunities but 99% of the time the writers ignore it ang go "I dunno he's super smart. Sometimes. When it's convenient tehee"

Prowl is kinda one of those characters that has to be either nerfed or killed because if you let him use his full (narratively implied) potential he will be way too powerful.

Dumb little headcanon I’ve had rattling around:

The monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain share the feelings of whomever their master is… which currently happens to be Sun Wukong.

What he feels, they feel. What he thinks, they think.

It’s an instinctual, ritual link between the de-facto king of the mountain and his fuzzy little subjects.

If there’s a certain way he’d like to act but restricts himself from, the monkeys acts on those instincts without refrain.

If he likes someone? They like that someone, too.

And if he really likes someone?

Well.

So. One day Wukong goes missing. Maybe heads out with a goal in mind and stays out a little longer than he expected.

It’s an inherent magic that can’t be turned off or delayed. As long as at least one person is on the mountain, the monkeys have a king.

So, without the Monkey King on Flower Fruit Mountain, there’s only one other person that responsibility can fall onto, only one person who reasonably can serve as (temporary!) ruler of the mountain.

Macaque.

Without his knowledge, he’s been given the “reins” to FFM, which now seems to bend to his whims as he pleases, showering him in convenient stretches of shade to brood and whine under, tossing peaches and bananas into his open hands, peeling pebbles from before his step with each foot forward.

But it goes a little further than even that.

Now the local little fireballs acting like the resident wet rat, pouting and kicking rocks as they grumble in their little monkey language, cowering from the sun and conversation and generally being unpleasant and annoying.

Until Sun Wukong comes back, that is.

And the transfer of power from ruler to ruler on the mountain goes a little slower than usual, and suddenly all these sullen little monkeys are flying into his arms with squealing hoots, nuzzling his cheeks, pressing little monkey kisses to his nose and ears.

After all- they feel the same way that their master does.

I love shipping characters who hate each other in canon.

I love shipping characters who have had exactly one (1) conversation in canon.

I love shipping characters who have never met in canon.

I love shipping characters from different pieces of media.

It starts off silly. The notion of the pairing is so weird, so unexpected and seemingly dumb that it makes me laugh a little, perk up, look into it and see if this is really a thing.

And then it becomes a joke. Haha, look at this ship I’m shipping ironically, isn’t it silly, it would obviously never work out in canon but I’m looking at it and producing content for it anyway because it’s fun.

But as time goes on, it starts filling my feed. I start thinking about it - really thinking about it. Why did someone put these characters together in the first place? How would they really interact? How did they end up together, and why would they stay together?

What started out as a joke becomes a diving-off point, an opportunity to really think about both characters. The dynamic isn’t canon, so it’s yours to shape. The dynamic isn’t canon, so now you must delve into each character on your own, figure out how you perceive and understand both of them, learn to see them in a different light. What started out as a joke encourages you to dig deeper, think harder, fall even more in love with those characters as you consider the potentials which lie outside of canon, but which ultimately trace their roots through the core of the characters themselves.

Because by their very nature, crackships and rarepairs are not based on plot, and they are not based on canon. They are so seemingly random and odd that they disrupt your typical view of these characters, making you think more deeply about them. The non-canon ships you embrace or reject can inform your perception of these characters on a deep level. They can make you cry just as easily as they make you laugh. They add so much flavor.

And they can also be really, really funny.
