Wow! I haven't done one of these in a long long time, so bear with me, but I've just felt incredibly lucky and grateful that so many of you have been so supportive, in general but especially since the start of the year, that I wanted to give a little something back as a thank you!

And what better occasion than my upcoming birthday!

So without further ado... onto the important parts!

The only requirement to enter? You MUST be following me! (This is a thing to say thank you for all the support and kindness, after all!)

You CANNOT resell/Trade these designs, PERIOD! Why? Well, I made them with the intention of giving them away! It just doesn't feel in the spirit of them if someone tacks on a bunch of art and upsells it later.

If. IF you get to a point where you have the design and you don't want it anymore... Give it away again! Host another raffle or gift it to a friend (with respects to my blacklist ofc).

You may not resell or trade these designs PERIOD. You did not pay for them, so you may not be paid for them! If you happen to get more art and want to be rid of them... Give them away! Host another raffle! That's it, sorry!

You may not include my designs in resale bundles. Period.

BIRTHDAY RAFFLE PT. 1

Decided to 2-for-1 this and set up my birthday raffle a little early this year!

Because i'm turning the big 3-0 this year (yippee!!) I wanted to do something special! so! A raffle in two parts! I'll set up a second design raffle once July rolls around, so no details on the second half til then!

But also! I've had to move my fantroll blog since Tumblr has decided it hates me (sad!) so now we're here! and the blog that USED to be indig0trolls is now @indig0trollsinspo, where I will continue hosting my adoptables listings (to prevent this blog from getting hit w the shadow ban), but mostly I'll be posting character inspo stuff there. Keeps things nice and clean over here! :3

This half of the raffle will be for a skeb-style custom messy sketch design! You'll get a bit more wiggle room with this than with the gacha tinies, though! might be a bit of a test run for someone i want to do down the road shhhh

Raffle ends on July 23rd at 7pm EDT (my birthday, yay!!), and 1 winner will be drawn on July 24th, with the custom form sent out then.

( ˶° ᗜ°)/ Hello, Kestis here to update you all on Minewt week for this year.

I spent the weekend reviewing everyone's suggestions to determine the best time for the event. After considering the options, I have decided on the following dates:

I'll make another post with the rules and ways to sign up for those who wish to write fics and for those who want to just make art/moodboards/ etc.

I've also decided that this year will contain all your suggestions given in the survey! so we have more options for prompts. ヾ(＾ ∇ ＾).

Now, as for the rewards this year, I have two surprises for you guys. Everyone who participates will automatically win the next header (for your tumblr or any other social media you guys might have) that you will be able to download through a link I'll send once the event is over.

This is just a preview. The actual artwork is done already, but you guys will have to wait to see it. (⸝⸝> ᴗ•⸝⸝)

Finally, just like last year, everyone who registers and participates will enter a raffle in which I will pick one of you guys to win a free artwork much like the one below (half-body) of either Newt or Minho (you choose.)

The raffle will happen the same week in which I'll reveal the authors of each work (Jul 28 to Aug 3).

Feels. Been in the server for years. Only won one raffle. Which is def strange to me. But Ive watched the same individuals win quite often. Youd think itd be fair tbh, as its ran on the LK. But it still fckn sucks watching at least 2-3 people win every cga batch, or raffle in general.

As for Saunt.. Most people have to contact the mods to get anywhere. Which is insane. They are left to run the species and deal with members being upset, etc. Its completely unfair. Many have suggested MULTIPLE times even to get more help, hire and train people. Considering the lack of prompts for nearly the entire year... Youd think theyd be able to get some help trained.

I enjoy the little buggers. But the species itself needs so much help.

They are incredibly stubborn when it comes to hiring new mods. All of the mods chowlings have are mods from symprites, they run the server more than saunt does dispite half of the team being non-existant and also moderating for symps. Kirill has been the most active recently and jyph is just useless and probably only used for their art ability. Dont get me started on Bat, Newt, Sharktuna, and stardonyx I dont think I see any of them do anything dispite their role. Its been suggested many times but they refuse. 🍈

Posalis, of course, I am absolutely enraptured by these two men who are simultaneously just normal guys and the least normal people in a cast full of absolute freaks. I also very much enjoy Serovolk and Altan/Vadim. I'm a multishipper for Lera, I think she should sleep with anyone and anyone so long as she actually gets to sleep afterward.

Other ships that I remain deeply fond of: Jonmartin, Astarion/Halsin/Tav, Phryne/Jack, Reed900 (yeah I KNOW), Ogata/Vasily, Cecil/Carlos, Newt/Hermann, Thorki, Geralt/Yen, Raffles/Bunny, Sansa/Sandor, those two robots from Ex Machina who should kill all billionaires, and Fiona/Rhys. It's a good thing I'm a little too old to keep up with the way kids these days do ship wars because the ships that catch my eye tend to involve a lot of tension and conflict and morally iffy decision-making with a glimmer of hope that these two fools will eventually work together toward a greater goal.

FFxivWrite2022 Recap & Winners

11,165 total entries were submitted in 2022!

This includes all entries that were submitted via the Google Form, including late entries (and excluding duplicate entries).

Which brings us to 42,721 total recorded entries since we began this challenge in 2017! 

And, we had 105 volunteer artists in 2022!! Which means that there are 105 prize-winners!

Participation Prize Winners

Winners were selected via a random raffle dice roll made by each of the artists and span all online writing platforms, including Tumblr, Ao3, Google Docs, and others (like Twitter). This writing challenge is not a contest - no one’s work was being judged for length, skill, etc. The prizes are based on participation only!

Prizes are a simple black & white portrait of the winner’s character. Most are shoulder up but the artists are free to take liberties if they’d like. Prizes are not commissioned work, so ultimately it’s the artist’s choice for what they’d like to do for the piece. Some artists (not all) accept commissions and might be open to colorizing a prize piece, after it’s been posted, at their normal rates.

All of 2022′s winners will be contacted directly by their volunteer artist. If you are a winner and your artist has been unable to contact you after 2 weeks of trying, you will forfeit your prize and another participant will be chosen to take your place, so make sure that your inboxes are open and keep an eye out for new discord friend requests.

As always, there are a few whose artists needed to drop out for personal reasons, and that’s ok! In those cases, the winners will be carried over into 2023′s pool of winners where another artist will pick up their prize and complete it.

Minewt week announcement!

◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜ Hello, Kestis here, once again to give you guys more news about the event.

Just like I said, this will be the schedule for the event (with some minor changes):

I just thought I would give you guys a few more days to submit your assigments (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) I know that life can get in the way sometimes.

( ´･･)ﾉ(._.`).

Now, how will the event work? On march 10th, I will post the link to the google form that you guys will use to register to the event. Everyone who fills in the form from march 10th to may 20th will be able to participate in the event.

⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝ Now, for what you guys have been waiting for. The prompts this year are-drumb roll, please....

All the previous prompts will appear in the google form where you guys will be able to pick them for the event and that I'll later post here in the blog. Now, how will you do it?

The Rules for the Event this year are the next:

1. fill in the google form to participate (even if you won't do a fic and will instead stick to just moodboards/arts.)

2. Pick up to three prompts to fulfill.

3. OT3's as well as second pairings are allowed, but the main pairing for each fic must include Newt and Minho.

4. In case the prompts for this year are not enough or you guys think of one you really want to do that is not part of the list, then you can add it in "other" and claim it as one of your three prompts.

5. Any rating + topic allowed-but tag properly and add any warnings if needed! these warnings will be also added once I post them on tumblr.

6. Explicit submissions are only allowed from adults and must be tagged as such.

7. Moodboards/fanarts and any other form of media can also be submitted along with the fics or by themselves through email.

8. All works must be finished and posted to the Ao3 collection by the 25 to 27th of june and you must email me the details (Tumblr username/Title/Rating/summary/prompt being fulfilled + link or the artwork attached in case of those doing just art for the event.) of your submission to minewtweek@gmail.com for the posting week.

All works will be posted and revealed during the week of the 21st to the 27th of July here in the blog (I'll post a certain amount of works per day depending on the bulk of works sent for the event.)

Finally, and as a reminder, all those who subscribe and fulfil their prompts will immediately win a Summer Newt Header that I'll let you guys download through a link once the event is over (Here is a sneak peek of how it looks)

And on the 28th, all those who participate will enter a raffle. The winner will get a half-body fanart of Newt or Minho of their choosing (that I will try to fulfil as fast as I can (ᵕ—ᴗ—).)
