esquie from e33 absolutely melts my heart. in this world painted from the imagination of a little boy, the strongest being in existence is a personification of his favourite stuffed toy. because nothing makes a child feel safer than their favourite stuffie, and in their mind it can protect them from anything

#blahs #e33 #e33 spoilers #expedition 33 spoilers #expedition 33 #and his VOICE!!! completely perfect stuffed toy voice. one of my fav performances in a game of incredible performances #like once you get to act 3 and you have the full context of everything #it makes me want to cry a little every time you use esquie to traverse and he does his little 'flashing through the sky!!!' lines #that's what a child would say playing with their toy imagining it can fly!!! WAH!!!!#i just think esquie exemplifies how the game attaches you to Real Verso through the world he made even though we never meet him #we understand who that child was and what was in his heart. we understand what the dessendres are mourning #the area with trains bc of his childhood train set... the silly toys he made out of his parents' art supplies who love to fight...#monoco and noco - the personification of his dogs - being his most loyal friends #the world in this game is its own character in such a beautiful and sad way

i started a third playthrough of e33 (i know, but look, i made it almost two weeks before starting a new game this time) and i remembered that dialog about noco leaving something in verso's hut in the ancient sanctuary.... are we talking about this hut??
