"I think OEA feeds on desperation and despair. I think the only way to fight it is hope." Nova paused. "But hope is hard to muster these days."

Nova gently reached for a hankerchief and wiped the tears from the banshee's place. She can feel the pain emitting from the banshee and wanted to tell her it's okay. But Nova knows its hard to leave the sad place of anxiety- especially when it comes to love ones. "I want you to know, your feelings are valid." Nova said.

"If she leaves you that doesn;t mean you won't find someone else." Nova said. "People are only here for a reason, season, or a lifetime. I think it's only a matter of time of finding someone worth a lifetime." Nova said sincerely believing that. She might not be a banshee but she knew grief as a constant companion. "I think the key to knowing is telling her what I am hearing right now." Nova said sincerely. "Even if.....her feelings aren't reciporacted. It's better than keeping it inside and stewing."Nova said.

Her eyes had a look of familiarity and a smile. "Laine is pretty cool." Nova said. "A bit intense but very cool." Maybe Nova should contect Laine one more time. There was a smile. "Thank you for telling me Theo." Nova said as she gently pulling her into a hug showing acceptance.

Theodora didn't trust many people. Often, she would meet someone who said they could be trusted, but time proved wrong. Yet with Nova, she felt a peace that seemed to blanket over all the banshee's worries. "I really want that to be all that matters, but she is part of the group that put the gala on. I even knew that when I first met her but I still couldn't control the way my chest felt when I got her to smile. She's funny ya know? In a dark kinda way but it fits her, so I don't question it too much."

Nodding her head as they walked closer to the garden bench, Theo smiled at the way Nova described the one she loved. She hadn't met TJ, the two didn't really run in the same circles. A few months ago, the only circle she ran in was in the prison world. When the topic of Han came up, she felt a tightness in her chest. As if her lungs were on fire, while memories of every person she loved that died appeared. They hadn't just died, being a banshee meant she saw it over and over again. Swallowing hard, she began to think of what it would feel like, if Laine would become apart of those nightmares. Tears welled in her eyes, as she took a seat on the rustic bench. Placing a hand on her chest, trying to provide comfort to her aching thoughts, she nodded.

"She is worth fighting for. It's just hard because every person whose ever meant to love me....they've left sometimes more permanently than others." Looking down at her hands, she let out a heavy sigh, the tears falling down her cheeks. "I don't want her to be like them, this time I really need it to be different. My whole entire life it's like i've been playing dead and then I saw her and it felt as if there was something to prove about myself...to her..she was a stranger...and I wanted to prove my very being to her."

Wiping her eyes softly, she then looked over to her friend. "It's Laine by the way, the person that I feel all this for." Saying it felt like a mixed bag of emotions. At first, it felt light because she hadn't told anyone this information, but then it changed to anxiety. If anything happened to Laine, Theo would be devastated.

There is currently a little hedgehog with a quillset too big for her damn head outside the house, struggling to use her psyckonesis to reach the apples dangling from an apple tree, since shes a small six year old obviously nova cant just reach the apples normally- but she seemed determined to get atleast one apple for her father. Which. Meant she was covered in alotta dust and dirt from falling so much trying to reach the apples. She may have snuck out of the house to do this but atleast shes not getting into anything dangerous? Wait. Scratch that. Shes climbing the damn tree now.

"Novaaaa! Where are you?!" Silver called out as he frantically searched for his missing daughter. He took his eyes off of her for one moment when he went to fetch something, then the next moment, she's not where he left her.

Metal was out running errands, so obviously he couldn't be asked where their child went. The only other person he could ask was his older child, Byte. "Byte, have you seen your sister?" He asked as he peered into Byte's room to see them playing a video game.

"I think I saw her outside. Or it could've been a Flicky. I dunno." He replied hurriedly, she was too focused on its game to fully pay attention.

"SHE'S OUTSIDE?!" Silver rushes outside to find the younger hoglet climbing the tree. "NOVA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" He doesn't seem aware of the volume of his voice.

HELLO good morning or night where ever you are but!! I love nsr and all the crazy designs people come up with, so I wanted to throw my hat in the ring with a few questions!

-Since Apollinare conducts with the "stars" and such, does that mean he's got a good relationship with DJSS or a bad one? I can't imagine that they're REALLY the stars but also....if DJSS can grow to the size of a skyscraper and also create an event horizon by cracking his head then maybe they really ARE the stars!!

-Also also, if they don't get along, is it just entirely on DJSS's part or is it mutual? You wrote that Apollinare was a polite fellow, and Nova is a..pretty egotistical guy, so I can easily see him getting territorial over his "brand" but I could be entirely wrong!!

-Last thing but, Ratio also, seems to be space themed! Do those 2 ocs have any relation to each other, or is it just a favorite theme of yours? No judgement here, space is a wonderful thing! But also, in her art, she's got a little Sayu on her head, so does that mean the two artists are really close or was that just a cute detail you wanted to add?

I hope this wasn't too overwhelming, but nsr ocs are such a treat for me to see, because you can really make anything you want in a way, and it's always great seeing more love for the game!

honestly i tried sooo hard to come up with a happy ending and it’s just not realistic and unfortunately im a simp but a realistic one😔. here are some fun facts to make the hitchhiker readers feel just a LITTLE better:

1. Nova originally was actually gonna be dead and hung from the ceiling, but i thought that honestly would’ve been too much of a let down for her character

2. the dynamic between toby and nova is my favorite, the relentless hatred but common love for the reader forcing them to be around one another whether they want to or not

3. i originally had never planned for nova and jack to get together. at first i wanted to make nova a lesbian, but i figured her love for the reader would conflict with the plot at that point. i also love my sweet bby and thought she enjoyed some love before her fate. canonically she’s unlabeled (or pansexual for those who need a box to put her in) and i resonate with her for that reason since im unlabeled as well

4.at first i planned on extending the kate arc, but after doing research on cat hunter i thought he was more interesting as an antagonist

5. in a scraped chapter reader was going to get matching tattoos with the proxies, it was scraped since it felt sort of out of place
