Unfortunately I do agree with Zak Brown that F1 should have permanent paid stewards. But at risk of sounding dumb why can't the FIA afford it? Like he said he's okay with McLaren/the teams paying, but the FIA get a lot of money through fines/penalties so why can't that be used to pay stewards. So you end up at a cross road, who pays? FIA or the teams. If the FIA was going to wouldn't they have done it already. If the teams pay how is the costs split? Do big teams pay more, does everyone pay the same? It's just an odd situation
