they’d hit the diner directly after the incident, on juliet’s insistence. she was stealing klaudia’s fries, the sheer adrenaline rush of what they’d stumbled upon fuelling both her hunger and excitement. “i really hope you’re not telling me,” juliet paused for a moment to take a sip of her soda, eyes practically bugging out of her head, “that those sticks were just in some random formation. i mean, come on, klaudia. that was spooky shit!” maybe she’d watched one too many episodes of the x-files, but juliet was adamant that the two of them had encountered something ‘not of this earth’, and was fully prepared to launch a full scale investigation on it. “we’re going back tomorrow, right? or tonight. or right now… i can finish this burger in like, five minutes if you want to go back there.”
