⌞♥⌝ Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I genuinely despise everything about this so much, and if anyone comes across this ad on TikTok (or anywhere else), I'd really appreciate it if you could report the video and not give it any further engagement.

I'm vehemently against the use of AI that negatively impacts artists, writers/authors, developers, creators, etc., and I don't condone the use of my art and IP without my knowledge and explicit consent — especially when it's being used in a paid ad/sponsorship. It's extremely disrespectful and I have no respect for those who do it.

i'm going to be real, i wanna see all the fanworks people make me idc cause that just sounds so frickin cool. like ya'll took the time to not only read our story, but cared enough to want to make something and then took the time to do it????? insane. i feel so privileged and in awed.

like i don't personally ship anything in here but that's not to say i can't enjoy it on it's own terms. the overkill i make does not have romance in it, as i want to keep that out of the focus and be left for interpreation, but the overkill YOU can create? that can be whatever you want. that's canon to YOUR version of the story that lives within you and what you share. and i can appreciate and admire that.

Gods I fucking HATE going into the Heart Pirates tag and constantly seeing people post about how Law's crew "isn't there for fighting" and is just there for "emotional support." I don't even care if it's supposed to be a "joke" because frankly, I'm sick of seeing this shit. So I'm going to clear something up:

No crew, regardless of how strong their captain is, makes it to the New World if they aren't strong fighters.

Like, they don't just sit around on the ship and let Law do the hard work all the time. There is canon proof they can hold their own. They fought alongside the Mink Tribe when the Beast Pirates attacked Zou. They fought the Beast Pirates during the Raid on Onigashima. We saw they employ clever underwater tactics and hold their own against the like of fucking BLACKBEARD. You know, the guy who's one of the major villains of the whole series? Losing to him doesn't fucking make them weak. They lost because the guy is designed to be basically unbeatable by anyone but the main heroes.

Honestly. We've seen the Heart Pirates fight about as much as the Kid Pirates, and I don't see people claiming Kid's crew are "weak" and "just there for emotional support." Both these crews are strong and willing to fight, kill, and die for the sake of their captains.

I'm all for making a joke. I can genuinely laugh at the silly posts and memes. But when 90% of the posts about them are like this, it's clear people aren't telling a joke - they see them as a joke. Because it seems like nobody talks about them as a legit pirate crew to a powerful pirate captain. Characters can be powerful and badass AND strike goofy poses and be affectionate to their captain. It's what makes them interesting. The fandom really needs to realize that.

hi everyone!! i want to thank you all for your patience as i've been really slow so far this year to get moving on both plotting & writing. i want to give a little bit of an update on my life, since work has been a large part of why i have had so little energy to dedicate to replying to everyone.

i have been made junior partner at my work, which means that i am now a partial business owner! this is a huge step up for me, since it's a company that i am extremely passionate about and dedicated to, but also means that my paycheck is more or less determined by my ability to help keep the business thriving. this is going to mean a lot more work hours for me and a big shift as i learn to adjust to this new schedule with possibly even a pay cut at first. my goal for the rpc is to continue plotting & writing with everyone that i follow, though i will continue to be slow to do so. currently i require plotting before i start new threads with anyone. the best way to make this happen is to like my plotting calls and/or fill out my interest tracker, or if this really doesn't work for you then my first meeting starter call.

i also work a lot through discord, which sometimes means that either i am online but unable to get distracted by incoming messages, or don't have the energy to look at the app anymore at the end of the day. even if it can take me a month to get around to certain messages, i am not ignoring them and am just waiting to get up the energy to give a reply the attention and energy that it deserves. because i want to be able to give my all to everyone here.

please don't ever take my slowness in reaching out, replying to messages, or answering memes, starters, or continuing threads as disinterest. i have lots of interest—i just have very little time. once again, thank you everyone for your patience and for your continued energy & interest.

as the weekend approaches, it's probably worth mentioning that i'm gonna be pretty sparse for the next two weeks. i leave for gen.con on monday the 28th and will be gone until the 4th. and then that same weekend i'm taking a trip for my 30th birthday where i'm gonna spend 3 days drunk as a skunk sitting in the chattahooche river, living my absolute best life. my birthday isn't until the 21st but this was genuinely the only weekend we could fit in.

i will be so busy vending at gencon that, like origins, i won't be able to check the dash and can maybe check my messages in the evening. but if you find yourself there you should stop by the maker's market before 3pm and say hello!!! look for the twinkly curtains.

Quick life updates: I am now the Master of Science in Meteorology (aka got my Masters degree) and I’m also job hunting. I don’t know when, or if, I’ll be back but I have been pretty busy recently. I’ll hopefully talk to y’all more soon.
