Postal Demon in Postal 3 au INFOBLAST!!! + some demon headcanons bc I’m evil

WARNING!!! This is a poorly written au that was created just to house this AWFUL crackship…… This au is held together by really thin strings,, the strings are that the first game’s Paradise is the same as the rest of the other games. (I just have to ball with it⛹️)(Despite the au taking place in one general universe that compiles the other games,, I don’t think that the postal dudes from each game are the same person!🧨 idk what all these dudes are doing around eachother but we ball)

Small postal demon info before I start the au summary:

I call the postal demon “Pamorrgus” a lot in this,,,, fake demon name I made up for him… sigh… you can tell how much of a blorbo he is to me…💔 

I also refer to the demon with he/it pronouns, just a heads up bc I don’t want to cause confusion with the pronoun switching. (Woke demon?!?!😨😨/silly,, I don’t think Pamorrgus gives a damn about pronouns and all that stuff,,, not his problem man. It’s got better things to worry about like getting a meal that day or 100% not being gay about some guy LMAO😭😭… You could technically use any pronouns for this guy,,, it just does not care.)

Basic “summary”(its really long):

Pamorrgus wanders to wherever there’s tragedy/disaster/suffering. If there is no human suffering near by, he’ll make something happen. Demons feed off of emotions, primarily on the negative side. Yes, Pamorrgus tells its victims to harm others for its own amusement, but the pain and distress of humans is also how he sustains itself. The earth is indeed hungry!!

After the events of Postal 1, Pamorrgus feeds off of the town’s anguish and grief. This lasts around maybe 10 years or so. Throughout the years, most people that been around during the game’s events have moved on from the event, moved out of town, or just passed away. The town’s grief declines little by little, and the demon’s power is weakening. Around 2003, Postal 2 Dude moves into town. Pamorrgus watches him from afar, not interfering with his life. Unlike with P1 dude, P2 doesn’t need any encouragement in order to start slaughtering people, the town is already driving him mad, so there’s really no need for the demon to interact with him. Pamorrgus just sits back as hell breaks lose. 

After Paradise got blown up and p2 dude gets the hell out of there,,,, the demon wanders into Catharsis and hides itself inside the walls of an apartment building, hibernating to digest its meal. (they’re more like depression naps to me😭😭 but sure boy go sleep). 8 years later, P3 dude finds himself in Catharsis and stays in the same apartment room that the demon is currently inhabiting. (uhhhghh,,,,,, i still don’t know how the freak p3 exists man😭,, you now understand my warning about this being not very well thought out.. But he ends up in Catharsis at some point!) ((Also ignore the fact that P3 dude probably wouldn’t have enough money to get an apartment or something,, since the whole goal of the game is to get money for a tank of gas,,, which is expensive… The economy is not doing good 😭😭…. My excuse is,,, like,,,, look that game start up menu screen gotta take place somewhere!! Idk man😭😭lol). Pamorrgus wakes up to discover that P3 is living in its current place of residence, and starts watching over him to learn more information about him and to figure out how to convince him to do what it wants. In the au, I think the dude leans more to the good path version, so the demon has some convincing to do.🫢

And then they properly interact at some point then later yaoi happens somehow,,, and like😭 SCARY!YAOI!!!!

They’re like,,, “Strangers + accidental roommates” to “acquaintances” to “murder buddies” to “AAAHHH I NEED TO EAT MY SKIN” to “I’m not gay lmao💀” to “AUUGGGHGGHH [sounds of a man drowning in acid]” to [redacted] to [data expunged] to “@#&$*%;,,:#&#&,@& (starts frothing at the mouth)” to “kinda lovers” to “I’m ngl I would rip off my skin if you asked me to❤️”…. Or something,,,,, Waow….. don’t really know how to properly explain the development of their relationship….🧚 I imagine Pamorrgus is pretty distant at first,,,, with every one of its victims, it likes to have some level of distance. Like yes, he has to get its victims to trust it and be (somewhat) comfortable around him (sometimes,, comfortability is not required lol) in order to get what it wants, but forming any attachments to a victim is like,, gonna make things complicated and might get in the way of his goal,, yk? This never really was a problem for Pamorrgus before though (not like he has to worry about some freaky bisexual weirdo… Haha right guys? Imagine if that happened? Just crazy mate, crazy!),, this guy does not care about humans. I imagine that before his fall from heaven, he used to be a guardian angel! He’s probably sick of humans after having to take care of them for years and years. Although… I don’t think he really liked humans to begin with,,, but he never expressed this until his fall… (He’s like Patrick Bateman the way he pretended to be some normal ceo guy or something,,, ((and the way he denies the fact that he’s gay—COUGH🗣COUGH🗣)) idk I never watched or read american psycho I’ve only watched a yt analysis on it!!😭😭)

He eventually warms up more to P3 dude,, (since dude just can’t stop yapping😭 and the demon is kinda bored and wants to get more information on him.) but only by a little bit… It’s gonna take a while for the demon to see him as an equal. Pamorrgus sees P3 just as a pawn to take control of. Sigh….. soon the gay microchip will be planted into his mind…

I imagine their banter would be very entertaining to listen to,,,,,, sometimes the demon will say some edgy poetic nonsense similar to the p1 loading screens and P3’s like “oh shit fr😮🤨😏?”😭😭😭😭😭 tho most of the time the demon just talks like the regular p1 voice lines when around P3,,,, these guys just go around saying the most stupidest crap imaginable to each other while they blast peoples heads off.💕 Sillymaxxing joyous pilled…. Gross!!🤢blehhgh!!!!! I also think Pamorrgus can be so mean to him sometimes,,,😭😭 it can get really sarcastic and petty if P3 dude doesn’t do something it wants.. Dude don’t give af though ,, he just keeps annoying it back. They do become slightly nicer to each other later on.

I’m not quite sure when they will realize that they have fallen for each other, but I know the denial would be crazy😭……. Pamorrgus got his whole “humanity means nothing to me lmao” sigma grindset going on,,, so it would be pretty pissed about this new development… Absolutely not happy about it. He’s screaming and breaking chairs and mauling people over that man. And around this time I don’t think P3 dude has accepted the fact that he’s probably bisexual. (Sighs really loudly…..) What’s up with these guys?

Anyway some off topic stuff,,,, related to the drawing on the right,,,,,, for some reason I keep getting this visual of the demon pulling guns out of the apartment’s walls,,, how did you fit all those in there??

I'm quite sorry for taking two whole day to organize my thoughts 😔. I'm really bad at discussing ships I like. Or ships in general tbh.

Anyways, not surprised at all lol. Brightheart fanships are kinda rare as is, I feel (the fandom loves BrightCloud way too much lol. The most experimental they ever get is adding Swiftpaw or Daisy into the mix). BrightFire must be the nichest thing ever. More of a crackship tbh. There are like three people in the universe who ship BrightFire, we all used to be in the same discord server, and each of us had a different, mutually incompatible interpretation of their dynamic lmao.

Last time someone asked me about one of my fav ships, I couldn't really give them a good answer, and I felt really shit about it. So I'll do my best and I hope it's at least amusing to hear my thought process?

This is probably going to be long and I'm going to explain myself like ass, because I always end up rambling unnecessarily 😔.

Alright:

To be honest, for me, it originally came about as a joke, while writing my PoT-AU rewrite. The main premise of that is that Holly, Jay, and Lion are FeatherCrow kits born in RiverClan, but a fun... gimmick, I guess you'd call it, of that AU is that I strive to research and implement community-wide headcanons and jokes new and old (or just wc fandom practices in general) taken seriously to craft the world-building, plot and characterization of some cats. For example, Leafpool in the AU started as a warrior but was forced to become a med cat by Sandstorm (old fandom rumor based on jack and shit afaik) and she's very pro-life (very strange fandom discourse turned into shitposts gallore from 2019... also, yeah, abortions are a thing that exist in that AU).

Here in Tumblr, Firestar x Everyone is rather popular, so that's part of his character in the AU. That's to say, he's a disaster, with 2 mates, 12 lovers, like 100 flings and 24 litters of kits fathered and counting! (don't worry, the large majority of them died young, so despite his best efforts, he didn't nuked the clans' genetic diversity.... yet).

Anyways, the joke (and pre-phrasing this by saying that I think infidelity in fiction is funny to begin with, and that I don't like Cloudtail. At all). I thought that it'd be hilarious if Firestar, considering his new behaviors, got so annoyed at his nephew one day that he just goes and cucks him. That's it. Incredibly stupid, I know.

Then I started thinking about the ship a bit more, outside of the context of that AU. And I kinda ended up really liking the idea of BrightFire? Firestar is just really easy to ship lol. And as I said, I do not like Cloudtail. So pairing Brightheart up with someone else was an intriguing proposition.

I haven't had the time to sit and write down about it properly, so the following is very tenuous at best. I'm aware this is more of a crackship, so I'm under no illusion that it makes perfect sense within canon or anything like that. Also, this is only ONE scenario I have for BrightFire, the one I've put the most thought, and it takes place on the second part of TNP.

Pre-phrasing this by saying that I don't write my romances as entirely healthy, so if anything sounds lowkey 🤨 then yeah, it's probably meant to be.

The way I see it, Brightheart derives way too much of her self-worth from other cats' feelings and opinions about her. In canon, it's mainly Cloudtail's. One of the guides states something along the lines of "she still remembers what she looked like before the dog attack, and it breaks her heart every time she sees her reflection, she just puts up a brave front and avoids going near water". Bright herself adds that "He gave me another destiny, and I knew that no matter what I looked like, I would be all right. As long as Cloudtail loved me, I was no longer Lostface, but Brightheart". Which I'm sure most people would interpret that as something cute, that's what it was meant as probably, but I'm not most people lol. (bad faith interpretations strike again 🫠)

There are other examples of that stuff within the main books themselves, but those 👆 illustrate the idea already. I don't feel like hunting for screenshots right now.

So, with that in mind, when Cloudtail started neglecting her, favoring spending time with Daisy instead of her... not to mention that Bright had recently lost her home and also had to leave her mother behind to an unknown fate, so she might have been in a vulnerable state as is... I'd imagine she took it really hard.

And to clarify, I'm NOT saying that Cloud was being neglectful on purpose or that he had feelings for Daisy and wanted to replace his wife or anything like that (I think he was just being well-meaning but clueless... and a little dumb perhaps), just that to Bright, it certainly seemed that way.

So in an alternative universe in which Leafpool doesn't step in and chew out Cloudtail to get it together, it's Firestar who intervenes in this situation. But he doesn't go to Cloud, his nephew never listens to him anyways. He goes to Brightheart instead. He doesn't understand what's going on at first, he only knows that she's been moping around in the med cat den a little too much, and he really needs all warriors locked in. They just moved to the lake and there's a lot of work to be done.

He learns what's going on and feels sympathy towards her. He too knows what's like to feel alone even when surrounded by clanmates, and to be neglected by those who you hold dear, those who you thought you had a special connection with (he's still not over his situationship with Graystripe and getting dumped for Silverstream lmaooo)

Firestar cuts her some slack and lets her skip her duties until she feels better. He also starts periodically visiting her, to spend time with her and cheer her up, just like he did with Cinderpelt. He feels responsible in a way, because Cloud is his kin and he (unintentionally) caused this mess.

Brightheart is apathetic at first. But she ends up latching onto him, because she has no one else (Cinderpelt is too busy to spend time with her, dealing with Leafpool's shenanigans and, well, her own upcoming doom. And her brothers... sorry, who?) Over time, Brightheart sort of inadvertently starts getting from Firestar's company and kinds gestures the same validation she used to derive from Cloudtail's.

Eventually, Bright fells well enough to return to her duties, and though things are better, she tries to avoid going on patrols with Cloud. She really doesn't want to know how awesome Daisy is doing in her training or how great her kits are 🙄. And that's all Cloud seems to think about these days. She feels like he compliments her far less nowadays, and even when he does, it sounds kinda hollow.

Instead, she often ends up going on patrols that, coincidentally, Firestar is in (Fire also thinks that Cloud is annoying, so he doesn't put him in his patrols lmao). And they just keep hanging out, as clanmates. Soon they do as friends. And it's his jokes that make her laugh now, and his compliments that causes her to trip over her words.

And when she realizes what's happening, it startles her, causes her to feel really guilty... but it causes her to reevaluate some things. She needs to be loved to be Brightheart, to not be Lostface, to not be dead-weight. And she simply doesn't anymore with Cloudtail. She thought their bond unbreakable, but as soon as someone prettier showed up, he seemed more than ready to drop her. And that sucks because she has a family with him, and so many plans, and so much of her life and future plans were build around him. She doesn't want to throw all that away.

But she feels loved around Firestar. And she needs to feel loved. She's been doing so much better since they've began hanging out. He makes her feel strong, like Cloud used to do. And she's rebuilt her life once. She could do it again...

Firestar has no fucking clue that he's essentially driving a wedge between Cloud and Bright.

(We're going with the fanon-ish funny characterization of Firestar, in which he's handsome, charismatic and very charming, but incredibly clueless. You know, needing Cinderpelt to spell it out for him when Sandstorm wanted to put a ring on it, and all that)

He just sees that Brightheart responds well to what he does, so he keeps doing it. He invites her to share some fresh-kill with him and Sandstorm, and while they eat, he slips in that her fur looks lovely today. Then he pats himself on the back when Bright smiles, and offers to go on another patrol with him. Man, he's just so great at supporting his clanmates! 😌

(In a "Sandstorm is ok with it" scenario, I like to think that Firestar wouldn't understand what's going on until his wife quite literally asks him 'So are you going to invite that woman you've been courting to our nest already, or do you expect me to do it?', with him replying something like "the woman I've been WHAT?")

From that set up, you can take it anywhere, really. Bright keeps quiet and continues with her marriage, for the sake of her daughter. She tries to pursue an affair with Fire and is rejected. She tries to pursue an affair with Fire and he agrees for [insert reason here]. Bright just divorces Cloud publicly and goes for Fire, either getting rejected or not. Or from this event, Bright learns to love herself, without needing others for validation, and it doesn't matter with who she ends up with anymore... or she should yolo it and just marry Daisy, fuck it.

Happy endings are kinda few and far between in my stories lol, but I have a soft spot for BrightFire. I wanna see them happy-ish in the end (Sandstorm too!). Need time to actually think about it, though.

Anyways, yeah. Hope you got something interesting out of this?

making an important announcement about some things i’ve noticed in the gwendoline christie fandom that really bug me.

to start with id like to begin on a positive note so that i’m not diving into negativity, i don’t want to be completely negative about my experiences because i’ve actually met some of the kindest people in the world through this fan base.

the gwen fandom, the gwandom, the gwendoline christie fandom , the lesbian cesspool, has been an incredible experience that i’m grateful i’ve had the pleasure of being apart of.

i went through a rough patch during november, and if i hadn’t found out about gwen, or met such wonderful people during my time here , i honestly wouldn’t be here right now. i owe my life to these people, gwen included. i will forever adore miss christie and what she stands for alongside the friends i’ve made along the way.

and while i know someday this hyperfix will end, it’s really disheartening to me when a fandom is what makes me grow distant from things i enjoy. it happened before, i feel as though it is happening all over again.

and no, i’m not taking issue with anything like the catrissa stuff or the brienne and larissa ship going around or anything like that. i like that we can all be weird together and enjoy aus like catrissa and crackships like bririssa (not sure the official name that was decided lol). my issue is the amount of content i’ve seen that either focuses on gwen herself, or the strange relationship with minors, or the odd artwork of gwen, and the absolute disgusting behaviour towards giles.

gwen would be absolutely appalled seeing fanfictions of herself that involve nsfw or just her in general, anyone would, it’s disgusting to make works of real people in that setting. it’s like you’re treating them as an original character you can mould and manipulate as you see fit and using someone who is real with thought and feeling and consciousness for smut fics is not okay, or any fic in general. i totally get the hype around her characters, i literally have “brienne’s princess” in my bio and i’ve had “jane murdstone’s bloodbag” (in reference to my vamp au) as a name in a discord server.

but i think the fandom has begun to blur the lines between fictional characters and reality settings when it comes to gwen and the personalities she portrays on the television screen. it’s not fair to her. it’s disgusting. i’ve seen a minor do it, i’ve seen a grown adult do it. it’s something i don’t see shamed and frowned upon often enough and it’s really not okay.

on that note i’d like to quickly mention the photos, we alllll know what photos i’m talking about. the bunny one, the nudes, the ones gwen has expressed regret towards and wishes to not have them spread. was there not a “fan” who brought her a book of her nudes and wanted her to sign it? that person who was blocked on instagram by gwen because they reposted her nudes on their story and tagged her???? how can you refer to yourself as a fan after behaving so abhorrently? absolutely disgusting behaviour. as a collective fandom we need to stop touching those photos (metaphorically speaking) and leave them in the past.

i’ve been told of numerous circumstances in which adults have shown their nsfw works to minors in this fandom and it has to fucking stop. it’s disgusting!! how can you do that knowingly? i constantly ponder terminating my account after a minor got ahold of my nsfw work, and upon realising they WERE a minor it was as simple as blocking and moving on. it’s truly not that hard, folks. and the minors on tiktok who fight with others saying silly things like “that’s my wife” or worse. i’ve seen it all, i feel like, and the more i see it the more sick i become. i cannot stand it.

i have seen and heard of fans who have fat shamed gwen for that one pink dress she wore to the met gala. she looked so happy in that dress, and the audacity one must have to fatshame that poor woman on twitter then turn around and continue to proclaim your ‘love for her’ as if you’d done no wrong? are you fucking serious? are you mental?

and the sexualisation over the porcelain doll look, gods some of you are sick. those were not real breasts, people. considering the fact she wholeheartedly regrets her nude photoshoots , what possesses you to believe she would actually flaunt her chest in that outfit?

the blatant mistreatment of poor giles is not fucking okay either. just because you’re jealous of someone who makes her immensely happy does not give you the right to post something so vile and cruel about him. shame on you. why do you believe this is okay to post:

are you serious? have any of you stopped to consider how HAPPY giles makes her? or is her happiness the last thing you ponder when you look at her? have you even noticed how unhappy she looks lately? have you truly paused to consider how she would feel about seeing this on your page, random twitter user, or the rest of you who think this is okay? bless your hearts.

and some of the absolutely horrific things i’ve seen about her online and the hurtful behaviour towards giles makes me question the difference between a fan and just the general paparazzi. because if you truly loved her and you truly loved giles then i would not be ranting into the fucking void about it for no reason.

i avoid interacting with pages i find problematic on here to keep from stirring the pot but tonight i chose violence and got reeeeeal pissy about how i felt about this place. it’s not okay what i see on here and it’s getting exhausting seeing the same cycle of content on a daily.

that’s everything i have to say, i think. i probably missed a lot that should be discussed in the comments but i’m done for now because i know if i go on i’ll probably cry.

before you post things about real people with real feelings , stop to consider how they will feel those real feelings towards the content you put out. chances are you’ll become less problematic and obnoxious that way. 💘

P.S.: Absolutely not directed at any other blog/person specifically. Just general fandom/shippers.

Elriel/Gw*nriel:

Gwyn is not that important of a character. She is a secondary character whose main purpose in the story was to be Nesta’s friend. She has no connection to any overarching plot. She could literally never be seen again in the books and all the main plot points would still work.

People have inflated Gwyn’s character and importance solely because they ship her with Azriel. And they ship her with Azriel because 1. She is the only other single female character (besides Elain) that he has interacted with. 2. Gwyn is enough of a blank slate for people to project/self insert themselves into and thereby romance themselves with Azriel 3. Gwyn has only been shown in a positive light, with only positive personality traits (good friend and can wield a sword) so there’s no REAL controversy on her character/personality. Because there’s not enough to actually have any controversy.

If Gwyn was actually that important, Emerie would also be as important, if not more so. But 90% of time Emerie is forgotten by the fandom. Even to the point that the theory of an Illyrian plot is somehow given to Az and Gwyn, rather than Emerie. The two people that, arguably, have the least skin in the game concerning that theory. And the reason Emerie is this pushed out of her own potential story line is because she isn’t shipped with Azriel or another Fae male.

If there was no Bonus Chapter Gw*nriel would not exist. Or at the VERY least, it would be acknowledged as the crackship that it is. Because outside of the BC, there is nothing in the main ACOSF to accurately ship them to the degree that the fandom does. Elriel, however, still has several books where canon scenes have taken place. The BC is absolutely not needed to show that Elriel have feelings for each other, we already knew.

“Well Elain gave by TruthTeller, so Elriel isn’t end game!” Is one of the stupidest reaches I’ve seen. TruthTeller was always, OBVIOUSLY, meant to be something lent to Elain for the war. It wasn’t a permanent gift, and Az didn’t say it was. He said he wouldn’t use it TODAY, implying he would expect to use it again in the future. Imagine -

“Well Gwyn gave back the books Nesta recommended to her, so they obviously aren’t friends.”

Thats what y’all sound like. It’s just purposely misinterpreting things in a scene that obviously aren’t there for the sake of your ship. It’s disingenuous and not at all the win you think it is.

You cannot call Azriel an incel/fuck boy for Elain and then ship him with Gwyn in the same breath. If he’s all those things with Elain, he’ll be the same for Gwyn. She is not magically going to make him “better” or a gentleman. Actually, he’s already a gentleman. He just didn’t have sexual thoughts about Gwyn and y’all can’t stand it.

Same vein, but if Azriel had had those sexual thoughts in the BC about anyone else besides Elain there would have been no issue/debate.

If a Gw*nriel book did somehow happen, it would 1000% be for fan service/peer pressure. No previous books have set it up, even the main story in ACOSF. Elriel has been setting up since book 2. It makes sense. Anyone who says it doesn’t just doesn’t want it to happen, mostly because they don’t like Elain. And that’s also mostly because they can’t see themselves in Elain, so they lash out.

Saying Elriels are delusional is the wildest thing, because Elriels have the most canon scenes spread throughout the books, Elain and Azriel have interacted with each other positively the most and the longest, and they are the only potential couple that actually bluntly like each other. They exist outside of misinterpreted bonus chapters and “what if” theories with no real backing.

Elain:

Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, part of the Elain hate IS misogyny. The amount of hate this character receives, compared to what she has actually done in the series, is entirely undeserving. She has received the same level of hate, if not more, than Tamlin, any of the ACOTAR villains, and Nesta, who is still a very controversial character. And for what? Liking Azriel, and not wielding a sword while doing it, apparently.

Elain liking flowers does not determine who she’ll end up with. For fucks sake we didn’t know Nesta liked to read smut or was great dancer until her book. And neither of those things determined her partner. It’s just what she likes. Same with Elain.

Nessian/ACOSF

The idea that Nesta will leave Cassian and make her own court is stupid.

Being anti-ACOSF but Pro-Nesta is a streeeeeetch, because all of Nesta’s actual good character development came from ACOSF. Like, did you like that she was angry and unhealed before? Because that’s where she would still be without all that happened in ACOSF.

People don’t understand the intervention that HAD to happen with Nesta in ACOSF. And I would even venture to say that most people against it have never HAD to have a real intervention with someone to that level. The level of, go to rehab/therapy or you are not allowed to be in my house/take up my resources. Because you will not get better on your own, you will only hurt yourself or others and I won’t enable you anymore. It’s a difficult decision that but often it is NECESSARY. Speaking as someone with several addict family members.

All the theories about an El*cien plot line are completely focused on Lucien, and ignore everything built up with Elain. It’s always about Lucien figuring out his heritage, becoming some High Lord of one of the courts, or something with the Band of Exiles. Elain doesn’t have to be involved for any of that to happen. She’s pushed to the side in her own romantic story line. Nothing about her Seer powers, or the fact that she’s apparently been gaining spy abilities, or her place at the Night Court.

Lucien fans make me hate Lucien more than Lucien ever could.

The poor Lulu mindset can die.

While we’re at it, the theory that Elain likes Lucien so much that she avoids him is also stupid. That makes no sense. She loses her boldness around. She got better WHEN HE LEFT. All of Elain’s most powerful moments are when Lucien isn’t around. And that says something.

People cling to 1st book Lucien so much, but he has not been that way SINCE book 1.

Tamlin:

Tamlin already got a redemption arc when he brought Rhys back to life. He doesn’t need another one, and he certainly doesn’t need a full book.

The Tamlin/Elain ship is stupid and only benefits Tamlin, not Elain. Once again placing Elain to the side of her own romance, much like El*cien.

ACOTAR:

If you hate everyone in the IC, you don’t actually like ACOTAR. They’re the majority of the books, including half of ACOSF. And it’s actually really stupid to hate the IC and still pretend you’re an ACOTAR fan. Because, again, the IC is the MAJORITY of ACOTAR. Please read something you actually like.

If you hate the entire main story and main characters of ACOTAR, but like one or two characters, you don’t like ACOTAR. You see yourself in a character, and want the story to reflect what YOU want to happen to that character (ie, yourself), and can’t handle that it didn’t. You don’t actually like the ACOTAR series. Again, maybe it’s time to read something else.

3 Acherons x 3 Bat Boys isn’t cliche. It’s a pattern. It’s a literary motif. It’s a theme. It is a pattern that SJM has naturally set up, the fact that you can see and assume that Elriel would be apart of that just means you can recognize basic literary devices in a fantasy novel. Which is the POINT.

I have no intention of debating anything. I’m just stating my opinions on my blog, like everyone else gets to do. So take that as you will.

Guess That Ship Tournament Season 16: Submissions CLOSED!

The Concept: You describe your ship* to me, I pick out the submissions which I find most compelling and pit them against each other without revealing who they are, people vote on them, and their identities gets revealed once they’re eliminated.

Every other season, ships from fanon (something unofficial derived from the canon of a work), fanworks, and OCs will be allowed. This is not the case for Season 16.

Submission Guidelines

*For the purpose of this tournament, relationships do not have to be romantic in nature. (I’m sometimes going to use “ship” as a shorthand, just know I mean “relationships” in general.)

Relationship can be between any number of characters.

Real people are accepted if they’ve been dead for more than 100 years.

Roleplay characters are accepted as long as the description only pertains to the characters and not the players.

Ships based off of fanon depictions of characters (including crossover ships and crackships) and ships involving characters from a fanwork are not accepted.

OCs and OC x Canon are not accepted.

No overtly NSFW submissions. (Mentioning they have sex or are a sex worker is fine, but try to avoid anything more than that.)

Two submission per person. (Do not submit the same ship twice. I cannot enforce this on Google Forms without forcing you to log in. So just be champs and respect this rule.)

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in all of your submissions being disqualified for this season.

Summary Guidelines

Selection Process: I will read through the list of descriptions submitted without reading their names and pick the most compelling submissions. Then, I will check the name to make sure there's no repeats.

Keep it concise, but also bring something unique to the table. Make sure to describe their relationship, not just summarize the events of the story.

Previous submissions for reference. The ideal submission should be 1-2 paragraphs, but you can make it as short or long as you want. Please keep in mind the longer your submission, the less likely it is to get in.

Tips on what to avoid while writing a summary can be found here.

Descriptions should be based on the canon of the source material (e.g. You can say “they love each other” instead of “they’re lovers” if their romantic nature is debatable.). The characters do not have to be canonically in a romantic relationship to be submitted, only that they have some sort of dynamic in canon.

Avoid author commentary. (e.g. "They're canonically x," "I love them," "Play/watch/read this," etc.)

Use canonical pronouns.

Avoid identifying information or setting specific giveaways. (i.e. ninja village, space necromancers.)

The more popular your ship is the more vague the description should be.

Exclusions

Generally, ships that have been accepted into previous seasons will not be accepted. For a complete list, please look here. (No need to look through the whole list, just Ctrl+F to find the ship you want.)

Any submissions from Harry Potter will also not be included.

Oh and the "king" in king hippo isn't a stage name, he is actual flesh and royalty. His subjects seem to think highly of him and he treats them well. He does a pretty good job running things too but to be fair his kingdom isn't all that big, just one tiny island that isn't on any maps.

He usually doesn't hold his title over people's heads, mostly he's just some guy

Fully CANNOT swim but he can hold his breath for ages and just sort of walks on the ocean floor (gee, almost like his namesake)

I just read a take Yvraine x Guilliman and how the fandom treats them, especially how they water Yvraine down to a trad wife. First I agree with the comments and reblogs, because crackships can be cool. But all this meme and Guilliman going after Yvraine's booty is totally annoying, especially since Robute has the booty in the relationship xD.

But now to my main take, prepare because I need to bring Slaanesh into everything.

Something like this is the reason why I started to dislke a female representing Slaanesh (but I grow to like their female form tough). It's not because I dislike fem Slaanesh or Daemonettes in general.

It's because many parts of the fandom (again I'm happy that I found tumblr Warhammer) turn fem Slaanesh into this freaky goth girl ready to sexualize stuff. I get those are memes but still, I got the feeling that they water down Slaanesh with this.

I know sex is a part of Slaanesh too, but I'm tired of how the fandom use only fem Slaanesh just because they have this freaky, kinky, goth girl fetish.

But still Slaanesh, no matter if masc or fem is a extreme powerful deity and I want more takes on that and how Slaanesh pleasure and hedonism is a double-edged sword and less I want to bang a Daemonette, I want to bang Slaanesh.

So the truth is I like Slaanesh no matter how masc or fem they are, I just dislke how many parts of the fandom treats fem Slaanesh. And how, some fans, are showing their homo- and transphobia with their memes about Slaanesh. I'm so tired of this.

It's the similar with those pervert Fulgrim and EC memes, but this is another topic.

Next step of Graia waking up would involve alot of observing.

At that point Titus occasionally feels eyes on him. Even in places where there should be none. To a point he would be used to this; he's an astates and there are serfs, other crew and his brothers around more often then he's alone.

Whatever the source though, isn't malicious. Could be put off as some machine spirit or other, pherhaps a serf under usual circumstances.

(I don't want him to become paranoid, but he got screwed up before because he didn't pay enough attention to a problem.

But like who would he go to and how to adress this without making things *worse* for himself in the process?)

Graia however isn't just watching Titus but eagerly taking in everything and everyone around it.

For the longest time it had just passively existed and now everything is at the same time familiar (if your several billion years old nothing will ever be truly *new*) yet oh so excitingly *different*!

This would also involve some level of interaction with the machine spirits around it.

(Now, I imagine that machine spirits *do* exist, ranging from newly awakened and acting on basic instincts/instructions to very old, fully sentient and powerful machine spirits that oversee the rest.)

The machine spirit of the Resilient and all of the other's within it's domain noticed Graia's presence the moment it arrived with Titus.

They are cautious and weary of this entity that is of Disorder yet is not, and the only reason why they haven't exorcised it posthaste is because Graia has been very respectful, polite and they can sense that it's core, Graia is more akin to the blessed motive force that inhabits every machine spirit.

(Essentially, Graia has a temporary visa and if it proves itself, the machine spirits will tolerate and pherhaps at some point even accept it's presence, as a sort of honorary machine spirit.)

(This would also involve the slow and arduous process of winning the trust of the machine spirit hinabiting Titus armor. The machine spirit has been with Titus from the very beginning and it is *protective* of him.

Like, logically it's unlikely that they could reforge his armor in that short amount of time till he gets deployed, considering the size difference, but we're going to pretend that the machine spirit of the old armor is also in his new armor. )

As an extension of this, Dreadnoughts and tech marines might take note of Graia's presence as the odd spot of static electricity.

In general, people are going to notice things, even if they might ascribe the signs to something else.

Leandros is going to be involved at some point.

(Side-tangent on Leandros in general;

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think he just did his job in SM2. Like, to the point that if I would've been some random UM chaplin in his place who just had the cliffnotes I might've acted similarly.

The events of the first game are unfortunate.

Leandros' reckless actions apparently got his first superior killed. Which lead to him back peddling hard in the other direction, Titus didn't take his concerns seriously enough so Leandros took matters into his own hands.

He was still pretty young for an astartes and when your young you tend to believe people are competent at their job. Like incompetency is one but the guy he contacts then turns out to have a hate boner for astartes.

(Also what the fuck was going on in the background.

Like Titus is out of commission, Leandros goes to contact the inquisition that his captain got corrupted -which apparently nobody of the second company has any issues with- and this other inquisitor just so *happens* to be nearby for some reason. Like i think they knew or at least suspected that original inquisitor got killed/corrupted.

The infamous 'The stain of suspicion will never be fully gone and I will be watching you' is a warning but also an admission.

'My actions put you in this position and I can't change that, you will always be suspected by some people. But if I'm the one in charge I can make prevent something like what what you suffered under Thorax from happening a second time.'

Like it's been two hundred years. Leandros isn't the same man he was back then. Calgar gave him this position because he both earned it and he trusts him. Chaplain is a *very* important job. Nothing humbles a man like making mistakes.

Also it just occurred to me that, even with a shortage of man power, Calgar could've put Titus with any other company. Yet he puts Titus someone who he's been trying to get back for a very long time now, back with the second company, in Leandros charge.

Calgar wouldn't do this if he didn't implicitly trust Leandros not to screw over Titus.

In the same veine, he tells Titus that Leandros reccomended him for this mission.

a) he could've ignored this suggestion he's a chapter master.

b) he could've easily just *not* told Titus it was Leandros who reccomended him. Leandros thinks Titus is suited for this high stakes high mortality mission because of his resistance of chaos, so Calgar trusts his judgement. Leandros puts duty first, but also if -and we know he did- he surrives this, it gives Titus a chance to prove himself and firmly cements Titus as useful.

Leandros *wants* Titus to succed.

Titus is at that point also a stranger to his company and chapter. He and his brothers both have to learn to trust each other.

Because Titus *says* he would die for those collors but he understandably cares more about the deaths of the brothers he fought alongside with for a century then his gene brothers of the second company.

A big part of Leandros job entails keeping up morale and group cohesion. And he tries to do that with Titus. It's practicality but also he feels personally responsible.

Leandros and Titus will never have the same bond as before again. But what Titus needs is someone who's firmly in his corner.)

About Us:

We're two best friends who bonded of a love of yandere dating sims and hot 2d guys in general. Our names are Reina and KoNeko (Koko for short).

1.) When is the demo coming out?

-We do have a deadline for when we want the demo to come out, but we're currently not sharing the date until we're totally sure it's achievable.

2.) Will there be multiple endings?

-We plan to have at least four different endings, maybe more?

3.) What platforms will the game be on?

-We're new at game development and coding, so most likely the game will only be on pc via Itch.io.

4.) Is this game for all ages?

-GOD NO, dead ass this is damn near a gooner game. Minors are NOT welcome to play this game and are NOT welcome on this blog.

5.) Will the game be free?

-Due to the violent and sexual nature of the game, the demo will have a paid version and a free version that will be censored. The full release will cost money and will not have a free censored counterpart.

6.) How many love interests are there?

-Only two, but a few side characters will have sprites in the final game, so while it will not be canon, ship whoever you want! Make crackship's idc I wanna see them!!!

7.) Am I allowed to do fan art?

-OFC YOU ARE!!!! Please do, we only ask you to tag us in it and credit us properly.

8.) Is the Mc customisable?

-Unfortunately, the Mc is customizable by name only, sorry to say. But you CAN control how much of an awful person she is!!!

-While the initial premise seems to be a straight romance, there may be hints of something more there, but that's all I'm saying for now, teehee~

We're back!

After almost a year, the Touhou Crack Month is back for a second edition, hopefully filled with many more fun pairings and fun fics, and for this second edition, artworks as well!

What is this event?

This is a month-long AO3/Tumblr event where artists are given randomly-generated crackships, and have to desperately wrangle with whatever absurdity the RNG has wrought upon them. This event is meant to celebrate creativity, originality and adaptability in shipping.

If you're looking for a challenge, something to break your routine, a breath of fresh air, or want to experience with never-before-seen interactions and dynamics, look no further!

Proceedings

The event lasts the whole month of March 2025, starting on March 1st at 00:01 and ending on April 1st at midnight (both CET), ideally all works should be published before that deadline (not that it's a huge deal if they aren't). Each participant will receive their pairings on March 1st, each distinct from everyone else's.

You are only expected to make a single fic or artwork, but if you are really determined, nothing stops you from making even more than that, of either kind! There are never enough crackships.

Guide for potential participants (keep reading)

To participate, simply sign up using the form provided at the end of this post. In there, you can select different options to customize your experience. First is a 'difficulty' setting:

Easy: 4 randomly-generated pairings, with one to choose from for your fic.

Normal: 3 pairings.

Hard: 2 pairings.

Lunatic: only 1 pairing, so no choice!

You also have options to exclude some characters, for instance if you know them too little, or if you don't want to make ship content involving them.

For writers

Completed fics are to be published to the official AO3 Touhou Crack Month 2025 collection.

For visual artists

Completed artworks are to be published on Tumblr, under the #thcrackmonth2025 tag.

Eligible pairings

There are some restrictions put on the pairings, both to avoid uncomfortable ones, and to ensure the "crack" in the name isn't cosmetic.

Generally, eligible pairings are those where the two characters have no significant canon dialogue, interactions or strong backstory links (the latter case covers pairings such as Miko/Saki). Generic, one-off fight banter generally doesn't count (especially relevant for playable characters), nor does VS mode-exclusive dialogue (not counted as canon), nor do very brief manga/print work scenes (e.g. the big banquet of Silent Sinner in Blue).

Also excluded will be ships with strong fanon presence despite little canon basis, such as "successive bosses" ships (e.g. Wriggle/Mystia, Doremy/Sagume).

This event is yuri only, so male characters are excluded. Non-humanoid characters are also excluded unless otherwise specified by individual participants.

Note that these rules aren't exhaustive and I may exclude some other pairings in keeping with the general spirit of the rules above.

General rules

No NSFW, no intense depictions of abuse be it sexual or not (e.g. pedophilia, child abuse, etc), no incest (though all such pairings are already ineligible). Beyond that, there is no issue with delving into more mature themes, as long as they are tagged properly.

Just a heads up, people who ship Rhysta don't literally ship Rhysta, it's a crackship made entirely out of canon. Its really just using the characters' disambiguated forms and personalities for a specific dynamic. It's not Feyre hate, it's just enjoying a possible relationship in a premade setting with premade character, but it's entirely removed from the premade plot.

You can hate Rhysand and like Rhysta. Most people who hate Rhysand don't hate the idea of him, but how the narrative uses and treats him.

Obviously people hate Feyre, but that's not the entirety of the ship. People can have opinions on what ships would work regardless based on their own thoughts regardless of what's written on text. Canon means its canon to the ip and story, but it's not the end-all be-all when you pluck the characters and stick them in your own fiction where you can change whatever you want.

If you don't like it, block the tag. We're wasting everyone's time and energy arguing over something people simply aren't going to agree on.

And lumping people who post Rhysta content in general with people who write about SA in a positive context regardless of the characters, is ridiculous because it has nothing to do with the ship.

I'm tired of the shitty arguments from pro Gwynriel or Elucien. These people don't know how to read and are looking for bullshit excuses. Once again, they're going to fall hard when the Elriel book and Elriel endgame arrives.

The delusion of "If Elain had wanted to break the bond, why hasn't she done it yet ?" Oh, I don't know, maybe because something so important regarding Elain should be discussed from her point of view ?!

The delusion of "If Elriel wanted to be together, why aren't they still ?" Oh, I don't know, maybe something so important about them as one of the main characters in the series should be covered in a book from their point of view / about them ?! Like Nessian ?!

The "Azriel needs therapy before dating" rant is a display of cruel bias, because literally every character on this show could use therapy. But why should Azriel be the one solving all his problems before being in a relationship ?! It's just an excuse to keep him from being with Elain. But ironically, he no longer needs therapy if the future partner is no longer Elain but Gwyn.

The delusion of "Azriel is only sexually obsessed with Elain" when literally every guy on this show is horny for the women they like is huge evidence of bad faith. Even more so when it's the very first time in 3 books that we have a scene of this kind for Elriel while everything else was about romantic emotional development, and we learn in this same bonus chapter where Azriel is excited for Elain that he has also been looking at the gifts she gave him every evening for 1 year instead of having used them. But somehow the relationship is only based on unhealthy sexual desire ?!

The disillusionment of "SJM always cheats on us with several romantic interests, so Elriel won't end up together" is powerful... Already, Bryce & Hunt ?! Then, yes, SJM generally gives several love interests to its characters. Azriel already had Mor. Elain already had Grayson.

And don't even get me started on the "Elain is going to end up with Tamlin because she likes flowers and Tamlin is the hight lord of the Spring Court" bullshit because otherwise I might get really angry. Crackship worse than Gwynriel !

I can't wait for the Elriel book to come out so all this bullshit stops. Or at least, for Elriel to finally become canon like it was always planned. Because be sure that the pros Gwynriel and Elucien, once their illusions are shattered, will tell bullshit like this book is not consistent with the others and that it's just fan service in order to prove themselves right. Damn people, people have talked about SJM, all its couples have always been obvious.

Guess That Ship Tournament Season 15: Submissions CLOSED!

The Concept: You describe your ship* to me, I pick out the submissions which I find most compelling and pit them against each other without revealing who they are, people vote on them, and their identities gets revealed once they’re eliminated.

Quite a few things have changed this time, so even if you're a regular, I recommend you read through the rules carefully!

Every other season, ships from fanon (something unofficial derived from the canon of a work), fanworks, and OCs will be allowed. This is the case for Season 15.

Submission Guidelines

*For the purpose of this tournament, relationships do not have to be romantic in nature. (I’m sometimes going to use “ship” as a shorthand, just know I mean “relationships” in general.)

Relationship can be between any number of characters.

Real people are accepted if they’ve been dead for more than 100 years.

Roleplay characters are accepted as long as the description only pertains to the characters and not the players.

Ships from fanon and fanworks (including crossover ships and crackships) are accepted. (If the fanwork is lesser known or on a smaller scale, please do not submit any ships from it without permission.)

OCs and OC x Canon are accepted. (Please do not submit other people's OCs without their permission.)

No overtly NSFW submissions. (Mentioning they have sex or are a sex worker is fine, but try to avoid anything more than that.)

Two submission per person. (Do not submit the same ship twice. I cannot enforce this on Google Forms without forcing you to log in. So just be champs and respect this rule.)

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in all of your submissions being disqualified for this season.

Summary Guidelines

Selection Process: I will read through the list of descriptions submitted without reading their names and pick the most compelling submissions. Then, I will check the name to make sure there's no repeats.

Keep it concise, but also bring something unique to the table. Make sure to describe their relationship, not just summarize the events of the story.

Previous submissions for reference. The ideal submission should be 1-2 paragraphs, but you can make it as short or long as you want. Please keep in mind the longer your submission, the less likely it is to get in.

Tips on what to avoid while writing a summary can be found here.

Descriptions should be based on the canon of the source material (e.g. You can say “they love each other” instead of “they’re lovers” if their romantic nature is debatable.). If you are writing a description based on how they appear in a fanfic or your headcanon, it is considered as fanon and should be labeled as such in your submission.

Avoid author commentary. (e.g. "They're canonically x," "I love them," "Play/watch/read this," etc.)

Use canonical pronouns.

Avoid identifying information or setting specific giveaways. (i.e. ninja village, space necromancers.)

When submitting OCs, please make sure to at least put a name somewhere. (e.g. "John and Bob by anonymous" or "OCs by Joey.")

The more popular your ship is the more vague the description should be.

Exclusions

Generally, ships that have been accepted into previous seasons will not be accepted. For a complete list, please look here. (No need to look through the whole list, just Ctrl+F to find the ship you want.)

Due to them winning S14, ships containing the characters Mira Marchand and/or Delnys Raethran from Trials & Trebuchets will not be accepted in S15. Ships containing them will be allowed again in S16.

Any submissions from Harry Potter will also not be included.

Notes

I will not vet the ships/pairings for problematic content.

If you participate in this tournament, know that you run the risk of unintentionally voting for your nOTP. The mod does not take any responsibility for any distress that may cause you.

There will be a limit of one ship per media in the bracket. You may submit two ships from the same media, but keep in mind only one ship will be able to get in. (A series or franchise will generally count as one media, but they will be evaluated on a case by case basis.)

There will be a maximum number of fanon ships and OC ships accepted into the tournament. The maximum number will depend on the bracket size, but for a bracket of 16, the maximum number will be 3.
