i hate how people can just easily erase and forget and overlook a platonic relationship that had key importance to the show/movie they're apart of, like people talk about them at first, but when the second a romantic relationship is "more important" to talk about, most of the fandom drops it and forgets it when it's convenient for them because apparently it's not as important as romance 😒

#i mean for fear street. the amount of gifsets platonic relationships like deena and josh & ziggy and cindy & simon and kate is so little #from what I'VE seen personally #oh and let's not forget the tw writers AND fandom just completely forgetting scott and stiles relationship to make st*dia more important #and as much as i love DK the second season 4 came around everyone just forgot “platonic relationships? don't know them”#and i'm someone who always puts on their queercoded glasses for certain ships but that's not the point #like DK can have their romance but why put platonic relationships like dick & rachel and kory & gar on the backburner for that to happen #or st fandom trying to minimize steve and robin's dynamic #especially by making robin as steve's sidekick and to be his wingwoman whenever it's about st*ddie or st*ncy and it's exhausting #like completely missing the mark on their dynamic entirely. like when we HAVE platonic relationships they're just overlooked and minimized #it's not fair tbh.#and trust me. this is coming from someone who has multiple otp tags for a REASON #people just can't let other relationships coexist with romance and it's annoying and i need it to die #jaiden rants
