The time has come! I can show off the piece I drew for the Umbral Wings Dragon Tarot Deck~!

I got the pleasure of handling the 6 of Fire. The card is so cheery and bright (celebrating that you've made it through a trial and are being recognized for doing so), so! I felt compelled to include some of my favorite things (playing with temperature symbolism, staging, etc).

I am all for securing our borders. Also, if undocumented immigrants are engaging in illegal activities in this country, find and arrest them. From there, let the immigration system do its thing. However, using paramilitary forces to violently detain innocent, hard working people (who pay income taxes) is insane. Meanwhile, idolizing tax cheat billionaires who are lining their own pockets with billions more of YOUR tax dollars is the height of delusional cult behavior. What was the biggest story in this country before our president declared war on hard working families? Oh yeah, Elon Musk was telling the world that DJT was in the Epstein files.

extra notes for why bearded vulture in particular:

- these vultures have a VERY unique diet!! they usually avoid meat, and instead eat bone marrow⁉️ i feel like you can relate this to godot in a few ways… (1) you could call it being “picky” or having “more refined tastes” ,, a godot vulture would 100% be like, “oh… you eat raw meat??? ha,, hahah hmmm, of course you would. *I*, on the other hand, only eat pure bone marrow” and (2) something about ignoring the meat and going just for the bones feels very,, thoughtful? like, not calculated, but purposeful?? idk, i don’t quite know how to explain it,, just vibes…..

- their head feathers look like godots hair !!! lmao

- they have red eyes !!

- i also want to mention that apparently, harming an egyptian vulture was punishable by death in ancient egypt,,,, something something dahlia hawthorne

-i also was happy to be able to include some red on his wings, even despite the poison turning them white

-oh and vultures are big !!! (similar to red kite edgeworth)

Abby redraw with this nilfruits song that i like :D + the background on its own because i think it turned out cool :P

this song (from what i can make out of it, never trust my reading comprehension lol) is about art! about creating as a form of escapism and then learning to love life through that fiction you hold so dear.

Since Abby has always been a character very rooted in her interests (and generally a stand in for fandom stuff) I sort of expanded that into being generally into "nerdy" stuff and sort of went to how fiction and interests are something very dear to people. She has her own interests in a billion shows but her main favorite thing is her little magical companion! who is her oc who she holds very dear to her heart :) thats why I changed the background into being a forest! since thats where "she was" and stuff :9 Random magic creatures retconed she just has an oc

In my head on the lore i made up about her she's very used to moving a LOT. So in her head talking to people or making connections isn't really worth it when she's gonna have to move to a completely different place eventually, so she focused on her interests a LOT and has a really strong attachment to her little creature because she's the one friend that could follow her everywhere.

She sort of thinks her clock is running out and she's gonna move very soon, so she's sort of weird about the funtimes and has already accepted that she WILL leave and that its completely temporary, but don't tell them that let them be ignorant
