Hey, i heard there’s alot of dumb bullshit going on in the fandom, i just hope you’re okay 😘

I'm good! Relieved tbh that the air is clear. My thots be under the cut, but forewarning it’s a bit of a lot to take in

p much a lot of good friends were very much hurt (some very seriously - such as sexual harassment, racism) by other fandom members and it's just been a lot of trying to get accountability and making sure it doesn't happen again

I wasn't affected that much other than being uncomfortable but many of my friends were so it's been rough. We’ve developed a good support system tho for  those affected so hopefully peeps can feel more safe in the community, especially poc and lgbtq+ pals who got the brunt of it

I learned today the person at the heart of this (nati / natimonia / whatever the fuck they’re going by) has some pretty shit opinions that irk me personally such as aphobia and belittling other fandom members for shipping prefs, fav characters, art/writing styles, etc. They made what should have been a fun and safe fandom space into something hostile to the point many abandoned that space - to note, nati was the mod of a decently sized rgg server

they are trying atm to play the victim card with newer fans in the judgement series so I would say be warned. Nati deactivated and ran instead of apologizing and taking accountability. They don’t believe what they did was wrong and they chalk up the harassment they caused to drama and canceling so fuck them

thank you tho for checking in on me! I’m very much ok just very pissed and uncomfortable. I hope the people hurt will be able to heal in some way and I know it’s gonna be hard given that their own fandom space was tainted and having something you love become a place of hurt is terrible

I personally have had trouble getting into the judgement games because nati fucked it up royally for me to where I can’t play it without thinking about them since that was their particular hyperfixation. I’m sure I’ll get over it but it’s gonna take some time. I didn’t even know nati that well but even my brief interaction with them really fucked some shit up for me
