Polyamships is hosting #MultiamoryMarch2025

Multiamory March is a month-long event held each year, starting on March 1st and ending on March 31st, with a prompt for each day.

🎉🎉2025 marks the 5th year since #MultiamoryMarch came to our blog 🎉🎉

Once again we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration you can think of. In the spirit of this month, we invite you to create works in any medium using the prompts above if you need a little inspiration.

This year we have an additional 10 alt visual prompts for you to choose! Check out the links under the cut.

Remember our prompts are there to inspire you, not restrict you. You can also create freely or even use one of our prompts from past years we’d still love to see fanworks for if they inspire you better. If you use a prompt, please make sure to let us know which prompt you’re creating for somewhere on your post.

At us @polyamships and use the tags #MultiamoryMarch and #MultiamoryMarch2025 in the first five tags so we can hopefully see it. If you don’t see us reblog your post within a few days feel free to send us an ask to let us know, or submit it via the submit link here in case we’ve missed your post or the tags/notifications are being weird.

Q: Is this a fic only challenge? A: No, you can post art or podfics as well.

Q: Does the work have to be NSFW to qualify? A: No, the only big requirement is to have your blorbo be passed around amongst other blorbos, it doesn't necessarily have to be an orgy I suppose.

Q: Is there a minimum? A: The minimum is a finished piece. If you pass your blorbo around in 100 words or less, I'm impressed.

Q: Is there a maximum? A: The sky is the limit.

It is here! The inaugural event for FOUR OR MORE is live. A ficathon designed to get more fic featuring relationships with four or more people out into the world! Inspired by the Rarest of Rairpairs ficathon, this first event will run from August 15th to October 20th.

GUIDELINES

- Any medium! Any rating! As long as your work focuses on a relationship with 4 or more people, it's allowed! - No minimum or maximum but fills must be complete. - You don’t have to fill something to leave a prompt. The more prompts, the merrier! - Prompts must be for relationships featuring 4 or more people. - You may link to the fill if it is posted elsewhere. Warnings are not mandatory, but you're free to include them if you wish to do so. - You may combine these with other events, as long as the other event allows it. - Small fandoms welcome! - Don't forget to comply with the community guidelines.

Q: What kind of works am I allowed to submit? A: All type of fanworks are welcome! Fics, art, podfic, meta, you name it. As long as the main relationship features 4 or more people, it's allowed.

Q: I don't have a Dreamwidth account. Can I join? A: Of course! You don't even need an AO3 account if you wish to post only on tumblr.

Q: My work contains [INSERT WARNING HERE]. Can I still participate? A: Yes. This is a CNTW (Choose Not To Warn) space. Feel free to tag us in your posts #fourormore or @/fourormore and we will reblog your post.

Q: I don't want to see [X] content, can you please remove it? A: No. The only content that will be removed will be that that does not comply with the rules. You can ask us to tag a certain topic for blacklisting purposes and you are more than encouraged to do so, but remember that you can always unfollow if some content upsets you.

Just had some Polyam Fic/Ship thoughts courtesy of a fic I read that lowkey pissed me off

I really dislike when people write a polyam relationship and give the charaters a "we aren't complete without this person" mindset.

I don't fully have the words to articlate what I mean yet but Imma try my best.

So I'm reading this fanfic with this couple and their friend and its heading towards a throuple and Character A says something along the lines of "With just him I can't feel anything but when its the three of us suddenly its right." :€ ohhhhkkaaayyyyyy

Like maybe its just me but I feel like it's diminishing the relationship between Character A and Character B in a way thats unnecessary and really isnt a good foundation for a polyam relationship. It made me immediately check out and pause like "wait what."

I feel like if you have to do the whole "our relationship isnt complete/doesnt work without this person." for your polyam ship to work when their is already an established relationship without said character then maybe you just dont understand the characters or their relationship.

Its like when you can tell what the person who wrote the story actually ships and which character is there just because. Its so obvious and It fills kinda disrespectful to that character and disingenuous as a poly ship fic. Feels like I'm reading a cheating fic but theyre cheating right in front of charater B's face and dude doesnt even realize. Or character B is just there to fill some quota.

Not to be that guy I especially see it with the black person in a white polycule if that makes sense. Like people will take a canon interracial ship and make it like their relationship just isnt complete with out this mediocre white dude that the author SWEARS is their soulmate but its clear they just wanted to write their two white characters together but felt the need to slap some diversity on top.

Even as a multishipper it kinda just irks my soul. idk idk

I don't even remember where I was going with this I just wanted to rant a bit 🤷🏾‍♀️

Prompt 1 - Kiss

A silly little doodle of my OT3 in The Gifted.

So, like. This book takes place in the future, right? Around 100 years give or take. One of my favorite things is that at one point, the OT3 is walking around these ruins, and one of them, Othello, finds a working instant camera. He's kinda emotional about it for reasons I cannot disclose lol, but the point is it reminds him of home and he LOVES taking pictures of Everything™️. Especially those two, Lyvrea and Isador, but Isa is always a little annoyed about it because he thinks Othello is trying to make fun of him by taking an unflattering picture and doesn't really get that Othello is actually trying to flirt lmao. Anyway, the camera stays with them long enough that Othello starts a little collection and then gets all cranky (romantic) when he realizes he mostly just took pictures of those two haha what a simp
