Woody falls asleep first, so Buzz either hunkers down next to him to sleep wherever they happened to be, or he carries him off to “bed”

if Buzz considers Woody his own personal pillow, Woody considers him his own personal night light; neither sleep well without the other

common sleep positions: Woody lying on his back with Buzz lying chest-down on top of him, lying on their sides to sleep face-to-face tangled in each other’s arms, Woody slightly curled on his side with Buzz spooning him and holding him securely

Woody is way more prone to wild, vivid nightmares—Buzz becomes quite adept at soothing him

neither sleep in, though Woody is still up a little before Buzz is

perhaps owing to their character personas, Woody’s favourite time of day is the morning while Buzz prefers the night

that said, they’ve both given the other more of an appreciation for their preferred times of day: Buzz appreciates the morning more because of how lovely Woody’s brown eyes look in the sunrise, and Woody finds the glow of Buzz’s suit in the dark to be comforting and beautiful

Woody doesn’t really use pet names, except during those quiet, sleepy, tender moments (especially with an extra Southern twang eg. “darlin’”); Buzz keeps a calm face when this happens, but is internally squealing

sometimes a button is accidentally rolled on or pressed and Woody is rudely awoken by wings smacking into him—doubly annoying that Buzz usually sleeps through this

stuffed toys require more sleep and battery-driven/otherwise-powered toys require less; occasionally Woody will nap with his head in Buzz’s lap during the day

this also makes Buzz more prone to insomnia, which since he needs less sleep is really just annoying because there’s not much he can do when everyone else is asleep

but admiring Woody’s peaceful sleeping face in the glow of his own suit is a good way to pass that time

one time Buzz awoke from a nightmare he can’t recall on his feet doing a karate pose and Woody will never let him live it down

Buzz adores when Woody pets his head as he lies on top of him

Woody shifts a lot in sleep, so it’s a good thing Buzz is heavier plastic to act as his anchor

Woody doesn’t do well without enough sleep; on those days Buzz takes over leadership duties implicitely

when they have to be apart, Buzz tries to find some similar fabric to Woody’s “skin” to rest on; likewise, Woody tries to find a small light source to sleep near

Magical guardian Py!! This is my magical girl sona design ✨

This is the page I drew when finalizing the concept and to serve as reference, but I plan to draw this design a lot more to represent myself! The little fox there is a little magical mascot/familiar based on an imaginary friend I made when I was little kid. I got some more notes about my process below!

A few years back I made a magical girl outfit design for myself because I love magical girl stories and designs, and you can do whatever you want forever! I HIGHLY recommend that anybody who feels comfortable depicting themselves to make a sona based around something you absolutely love. It's a lot of fun!!! I think at this point this design has gone through about 4 main iterations? I expect more tweaks in the future because I always like to have a design that reflects me and currently this is what I'm really vibing with! Tweaking this took SUCH a long time to get to something I really love right now, so this really feels like a triumph. When I set out to design this, I had created a bit of a wishlist of aesthetics and other elements I wanted, and then it was a matter of balancing everything visually and making some choices to remove and heavily tweak aspects of it so it wouldn't be too cluttered or lose visual harmony. I also played around with the lengths of different parts of the outfit for visual interest.

In this design are a few nods to some magical girl designs I still really love, but in recent time I feel like there's been a bit more inspiration from european renaissance fashion seeping in because I've been dabbling into period accurate costuming! Now, it's not at ALL accurate in this design but that's not really the point; I just wanted to give the sleeves and breeches that extra poof 👌 The rest of it just just really self indulgent, like the big butterfly wing cape was an ABSOLUTE must for me. My favourite colour is featured prominently. I wanted the inner wings and bow to look like the night sky or kind of galactic so that all those sparkles would really show up and evoke stars, but the orange pinks on other elements of the outfit compliment the blue-greens and give the look and overall sunset/sunrise at twilight vibe.
