In 1954 the Senate convened hearings to determine whether comic books were "corrupting the nation's youth". In the end they decided that they probably were, but nothing was done on a federal level. It did result in the formation of the Comic Magazine Association of America which adopted a Comics Code to regulate it's own content.

"Last year's one-night-only Ragtime reunion concert, a benefit for The Entertainment Community Fund, will air on PBS. Broadcasts begin November 29, but dates will vary according to location. Check local listings at PBS.org.  The performance will also stream for PBS Passport members beginning November 29."

Those of us still suffering from the debunked theatrical release back in February will be overjoyed to know that this time they really mean it when they say there's distant music, changing the tune, changing the time, ahead. Twin Cities will stream on December 2. SoCal on the 6th and 7th. For those of us in New York, allegedly we will be getting a December 26 broadcast, though the schedule doesn't list that far in advance.
