I decided to give lamb a nickname! I realized for like 95% of the story they won’t be using their actual name (and would react poorly to anyone using it) so I needed Something for Narinder to call them because he’s kinda nosy and wouldn’t believe they had forgotten their name at this point

This will tie into a future comic :)

I may just be insane about this but does this feel like foreshadowing to anyone else. In this scene we see her trying to replicate the skill of someone else (her mother) and failing to achieve the same results that they would. That feels really specific and it's driving me insane.

Like, we see this come back again in the aftermath of the trial. Diana has repeatedly voiced her admiration for Wolfgang's ability to speak and inspire those around him in the darkest of times, saying she wished she could do the same. We see her pour her heart out and give her own speech to inspire the others-- except the reaction that she receives is cold and miserable, far from the newly kindled warmth and hope Wolfgang was able to create every time.

Diana is a chameleon. Her whole thing is to reflect, to replicate and to adapt. Do you think that this small scene where she tries to make a butterfly out of her hairclips-- a butterfly, an animal associated with transformation and change-- and the end result looking nothing like what she wanted it to be is a metaphor for her future character arc? She has declared that she wants to follow in Wolfgang's footsteps, wants to become something new, but do you think that by the end she ends up being the furthest thing from him? Do you think that by the end she will be left distorted, fundamentally wrong? Do you think that if she could see what she will become in the future, the only emotion that she can muster is horror as she gazes at a stranger that's supposed to be herself? That by the end, she won't be able to recognise herself, because there's no "her" left anymore?

There's going to be gossip. There's going to be news articles, and talk-show discussions. There's going to be various combinations of that in true Media Frenzy form, and they are going to trawl through Hell's Social Media, and find some things out about this guy.

Who is C.E.O Blitzo of the I.M.P (Immediate Murder Professionals)?

He once dated Verosika Mayday. Yes, THE Verosika Mayday Pop-Star & Sex Icon! Rumor has it that he inspired her smash-hit Heartbreak Album, as well...

He's that dude who challenged Queen Bee herself to a drinking contest...

...AND WON!!!

A picture starts to form, of a party-animal, an imp who could drink you under the table, a mad who knows no fear... But wait, have you seen that face somewhere before?!

Shakey cell-phone videos emerge, showing Blitz in a fist-fight with Fizzarolli, over in the Greed Ring. (another famous Ex-lover, perhaps? Or perhaps something to do with his background in the Circus?)

Sharp-eyed Hellish Internet Sleuths also identify Blitzo as the bodyguard seen in the background during Fizzarolli's red-carpet walk at Mammon's Clown Pageant...

Some more exclusive pictures from the Pageant Meet & Greet surface and-- yes indeed, it looks like in addition to owning his own Assassin Company, Blitzo also does some bodyguard work on the side!

(Is it a coincidence that Hell's Most Famous Jester, decided to hire Blitz as his bodyguard for the night of that SPECTACULAR, INFAMOUS SHOW where he gave his "2 Minutes Notice" to King Mammon, Deadly Sin of Greed?)

Oh, hey! It seems that Blitz also tied with Striker-- (the assassin Blitz himself hired to kill Prince Stolas... according the Marquis Andrealphus, who demonstrably had a lot to gain from Prince Stolas's downfall) for First Place in the Pain Games at the Harvest Moon Festival!

The first time in the event's history that the Pain Games EVER resulted in a tie! Really makes you think!

Can't forget about the billboards, either! DEFINITELY can't forget the billboards!

I'm not sure which direction things are going to go in, Blitz has been up to some INTERESTING things, some of which was documented on camera, and I'm curious about what kind of gossip and press will result from this.

A glorious reunion.

Completed on 19th June 2025.

My interpretation: I was inspired by the fall of Ile-Rien trilogy by Martha Wells, but I wanted to depict a fan-fic scenario where the full cast of characters from the series are reunited post trilogy. The setting would be maybe 10 or 20 years later in the other world. The liner is based loosely off the Queen Mary and ss Normandie with my own imagination thrown in, too.

Decades after the war, Ile-Rien is back on its feet and beginning to thrive once more. The wizards of Lodun University and government have developed their spell spheres, making them into magical computers. Using these, they're able to take the newly refurbished Queen Ravenna back through a reconnected gateway into the other world. On arrival, the ship enters the calm summer waves and sounds its horn as it sails toward the coastline, where it is greeted by a native longship and the cheering crews and passengers of both vessels exchange pleasantries.

I absolutely LOVED the isat fanfic "And if I were not myself would this be easier" by @pmpknsoup aka rabbit_soup on ao3 so I bound it into a book (with permission of course)! It's one of my favourite isat fanfics, so I'm glad I get to hold it in my hands and highlight stuff in it now! Anyway, it's such a great fanfic in every way, characterization, story, writing style, just everything!!! Go read it if you haven't yet
