What are the Most Common SAP Basis Interview Questions and How Can I Prepare for Them?"
If you're eyeing a career as an SAP Basis consultant, you’ve probably come across the term "SAP Basis" multiple times. SAP Basis serves as the technical foundation that enables SAP applications to function smoothly. Now, imagine you've just completed your SAP Basis course in Pune and are preparing for interviews. The excitement is real, but so is the anxiety. What kinds of questions will they ask? How can you make sure you ace the interview? Whether you're just finishing up the best SAP Basis course in Pune or already have some experience, getting ready for these interviews is crucial. In this blog, we’ll discuss some of the most common SAP Basis interview questions and how you can prepare for them. If you’ve been wondering what to expect during interviews after completing your SAP Basis course in Pune, you're in the right place. We’ll walk through not only what the interviewers typically ask but also how to respond confidently.
1. What is SAP Basis, and Why is It Important?
One of the first questions you’ll likely be asked is, “What is SAP Basis?” Don’t just memorize a textbook definition—interviewers are looking for a comprehensive understanding. SAP Basis is essentially the system administration platform for all SAP environments. It's responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of SAP systems, which includes managing user access, system monitoring, database management, and troubleshooting technical issues.
To answer this question, explain SAP Basis in your own words and emphasize its role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of SAP applications. This is a fundamental question, so if you've taken the best SAP Basis course in Pune, this will be your chance to demonstrate your foundational knowledge.
2. Explain the Architecture of SAP R/3 System
This is another common interview question. Interviewers will want to know if you understand the architecture that forms the backbone of SAP systems. The SAP R/3 architecture is based on a three-tier model: the presentation layer, the application layer, and the database layer. The presentation layer handles the user interface, the application layer processes business logic, and the database layer stores data.
When asked this question, you should not only define the three tiers but also explain how they interact with each other. Thanks to the SAP Basis course in Pune, you should have a clear understanding of this architecture, and now is the time to articulate it.
3. What are the Key Responsibilities of an SAP Basis Consultant?
At some point in the interview, you'll likely be asked about the core duties of an SAP Basis consultant. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, managing system upgrades and patches, performing backups and disaster recovery, and ensuring system security.
During your SAP Basis course in Pune, you should have gained hands-on experience in most of these tasks, so this is where you can highlight specific modules or assignments where you applied this knowledge. Your ability to provide real-world examples will set you apart from other candidates.
4. What is a Transport Request in SAP?
When you hear this question, don’t panic—it’s a common one! A transport request is used to transfer configuration settings, programs, and other development objects from one SAP system to another. This is crucial for system maintenance and upgrades. In your answer, mention the different types of transport requests, such as Workbench and Customizing requests, and briefly explain how they are managed.
During your best SAP Basis course in Pune, you likely worked on several transport requests in practical labs, so recall those experiences to build a strong answer. Practical knowledge will help you stand out.
5. What is SAP NetWeaver, and How is it Related to SAP Basis?
This question tests both your theoretical and practical knowledge. SAP NetWeaver is a technology platform used to integrate SAP and non-SAP applications within an organization. SAP Basis is part of the NetWeaver suite, and understanding how these two components are related is crucial for your role.
If you’ve been through the SAP Basis course in Pune, you should have an in-depth understanding of NetWeaver’s functionality and how it interacts with SAP Basis. A good answer will delve into how SAP NetWeaver facilitates web services, business process management, and integration of data and processes across systems.
6. How Do You Perform System Monitoring in SAP Basis?
Monitoring is a critical task for any SAP Basis consultant, and you’re almost guaranteed to be asked about this. System monitoring ensures that all SAP systems are running smoothly and that potential issues are detected before they become critical. This includes monitoring CPU usage, database performance, user activity, and error logs.
In the best SAP Basis course in Pune, you probably worked with SAP’s built-in monitoring tools, such as CCMS (Computing Center Management System), which allows you to monitor and manage system resources. Refer to your hands-on experience and describe how you performed system checks during your training.
7. What Are Client Copies, and Why Are They Performed?
Client copy is a process in SAP where the client environment (data, users, and configuration) is copied from one system to another. Interviewers want to see if you understand this concept and know when and why it's necessary. For example, client copies are often performed during system upgrades, testing, or new system implementations.
If you have completed the best SAP Basis course in Pune, you may have already performed a client copy in one of your labs. Explain how the process works, the types of client copies (local, remote, export), and what issues to look out for.
8. How Do You Troubleshoot Common SAP Basis Issues?
This is a practical question that will assess your problem-solving skills. Common issues in SAP Basis include slow system performance, authorization errors, and transport failures. The interviewer will want to know your approach to troubleshooting these issues.
Thanks to your SAP Basis course in Pune, you should be familiar with some common troubleshooting scenarios. When answering this question, highlight your methodical approach—how you identify the issue, investigate possible causes, and implement a solution.
9. How Do You Ensure System Security in SAP?
Security is a big deal in SAP environments, and this question will test your knowledge of best practices for securing systems. Topics like user authentication, role-based access control, and system patching are essential here.
During your SAP Basis course in Pune, you likely learned how to configure and manage user roles, profiles, and authorizations. Make sure to bring this up in your answer, demonstrating that you have both theoretical and practical knowledge in this area.
10. What Are the Best Practices for SAP Backup and Disaster Recovery?
No SAP Basis interview is complete without a question on backup and recovery. Your interviewer will want to know if you understand how to create backup plans and recover systems after a failure.
In the best SAP Basis course in Pune, you were probably introduced to various backup tools and strategies. Be prepared to discuss these, focusing on both regular system backups and more complex disaster recovery scenarios.
Final Thoughts
Preparing for an SAP Basis interview can seem daunting, but with the right preparation, you’ll be ready to face the challenge. Whether you’re just finishing up the best SAP Basis course in Pune or have some hands-on experience, understanding these common interview questions is your first step to success. Remember, practice your answers, stay confident, and always showcase your practical knowledge gained from your SAP Basis course in Pune.
Good luck with your interview, and remember that the knowledge you’ve gained in the best SAP Basis course in Pune will serve as a strong foundation for your career ahead

Redesigned Applicant Management Tool – General Availability
The redesigned Applicant Management tool is now generally available in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting as an update to the legacy Candidate Workbench, and is being rolled out on a gradual basis. When enabled, users can easily switch between both versions.
Note :
We’ve updated this topic because the redesigned Applicant Management tool is no longer limited to Early Adopter Care (EAC) Program participants, and because we have introduced additional functionality to the feature.
We’re introducing the redesigned Applicant Management tool on an incremental basis to ensure a smooth rollout. The feature is being made available gradually, and isn’t available to all customers immediately.
The redesign provides a new look and user experience for all Recruiting users to search for, filter, and view individuals who have applied for specific jobs without the need to reimplement SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting.
The administrator enables the redesigned Applicant Management tool by selecting the Enable the latest applicant workbench setting in Admin Center Manage Recruiting Settings. The Recruiting user can then, with a simple click, choose to toggle back and forth anytime between the legacy and latest workbenches while viewing applicant information.
The applicant list in the redesigned Applicant Management tool appears when a Recruiting user chooses to view candidates for a selected job requisition.
Tumblr media
Actions Performed Directly from the Applicant List
Change statuses with the Move button – the most frequently performed action on the applicant list is to move the status of one or more applicants. A new button, Move, is located prominently on the top-right corner of the list, and lets users open the Move Applicants dialog directly for their selected applicants.
Add to requisition those candidates who have been forwarded to the job, but have yet to apply.
Contact applicants through email, as well as text messages if the SMS feature is enabled.
Add a comment.
Invite candidates who have been forwarded to the job, to apply.
Add applicants to talent pools.
Forward candidates to job requisitions or colleagues.
Download resumes and cover letters.
Invite a candidate as a late stage applicant if this feature is enable.
View and compare details – the View Details option allows users to select multiple applicants to compare. Selected applicants then slide over to a “mini list” for users to easily view and compare.

strike
part 3 of the ‘hey batter batter’ series
pairing: Francisco Morales (Frankie, Catfish) x reader
wordcount: 2k
warnings: extremely mild mentions of sex, unwanted advances that don’t get far (not by Frankie)
summary: it’s a Triple Frontier baseball au - trust me, you don’t need to know anything about baseball.
In this chapter, we learn that a ‘strike’ is when a batter misses the ball when he swings, even though he shouldn’t have. And some strikes don’t just happen during baseball.
>>
“Jimbo, I'm here!” You called as you kicked the door closed behind you, arms heavy with grocery bags. Your grandfather would be in the living room, no doubt impatiently waiting for you to unload so you could watch the baseball game together. It was a few states away, which meant the two of you could enjoy evening on the couch with affordable snacks and air conditioning. Games in person were more exciting, but climbing all those stairs wasn’t great for his knees, and it was nice to chat with him without the roar of the crowds.
There was a faint squeak to his favorite rocker, and you unloaded half the bags onto the coffee table – his favorite treats – before tossing the rest haphazardly into their places in his little kitchen. You raced the commercials, listening to the final advertisements with one ear as you hurried to get yourself settled, even though he was always happy to chat with you during the game. For these times with him, you hated to miss even a moment. The chair to the left of his was yours, newer and softer and it would have been the perfect evening, eating and catching up with your favorite man.
Except this was the first real opportunity for him to grill you about your unexpected lunch with his heroes.
There had been laughter in his voice when you had tried to call him afterwards, and he had told you he would wait to hear the story. To him, even over the phone you couldn’t hide how flustered you were, just moments after Francesco’s eyes had been in yours. All things considered, he had been more than patient, so as you fidgeted and you kept your eyes on the screen, you told him what had happened as casually as you could.
It was the top of the first inning – the very beginning of the game, and his boys were mostly crowded into the dugout. Their fingers were grabbing fistfuls of sunflower seeds or pulling on batting gloves or hanging on the wire, watching as Will walked up to bat. There was a fun country song playing, and it was surreal, thinking it had just been a few days since he had tossed a chunk of fried food into the air and his brother had caught it in his mouth. James thoroughly enjoyed you story, laughing and for once not lecturing you about leaving them alone to live their lives. He seemed approving, proud of you for taking a change, and proud that the boys from his favorite team did his favorite granddaughter well. You answered this questions and indulged his excitement over the little things, trying not to reveal too much of your own daydream fodder. Thinking of Francisco’s eyes as he laughed at the Miller boys, you grabbed a pillow to give your hands something to hold onto, to ground yourself.
The camera panned over to Tom adjusting his cap and without thinking you winced. When you realized that James had caught the movement, you winced again.
You had to explain, then, the biggest detail that you had glossed over – the only one that would disappoint your grandfather. The outfielder had looked at you with confidence and hunger in his eyes. His fingers on your hand left cool, invisible lines, slimy like residue of the stadium cup holders.
James listened with sad eyes, before he was reaching over, gently squeezing your hand, and asking about Will’s family in town to find out if he knew a relative. It was kindness - changing the topic, rewarming the memory as he coaxed out more details of their interactions with you and each other, making you blush and laugh and smile.
The discomfort that had been lodged in your heart regarding the athlete  lessened as you remembered that they were all human. It had been clear the other players respected him, maybe even looked up to him, and that had to be good for something. Even though it had just been a lunch, a single moment in time, the assessments of a group of open hearted baseball players already held weight on your opinion.
As you began to tell James about a joke Santiagio had told, you noticed that Tom’s turn had come and gone, and he had struck out.
-
Every professional sports group had a second team, full of people who pushed papers and cleaned locker rooms and handled press conferences. One of these people was a woman who was in charge of sorting through and organizing special fan appearances.
Flipping through applications and mail, she would have hardly noticed the broad shoulders and hazel eyes of the man who entered, had he not kissed her breathless the night before.
For all they were on and off and she knew he was a player in all senses of the word, she couldn’t help but stand, and let his hands find her hips as he pressed into her.
“Hi, Tom,” she whispered, already dazed and adoring as his beard scraped at her neck, warm and insistent.
“Hey, babe,” he returned, absentmindedly, squeezing her hips before pulling away. There was something about his eyes, the way he held his head, like his shoulders were comfortable bearing the weight of others, like he’d prefer it that way, that made him seem like a natural born leader.
She knew him better. He had the crowds and the rookies and the managers and even his brothers on the team wrapped around his fingers - the perfect mentorship allusion, but she knew. There was another side to him, a darker side, filled to the brim with pride and arrogance and power. Of all the men who flashed smiles as they shook hands and carried kids on their shoulders for photos – he was the one who preened the most. There was a hunger in his eyes, even greater than when he’d love her, when a chance came for him to do an extra interview, put some senior input in, or take a newbie to his first after party.
Still, she loved him. Too much, maybe, but her mind whispered not enough, and she hungrily took what ever he would give her. There were always flowers and jewelry and coveted high-status sex in his apologies, anyway, and she knew he’d always come back to her, eventually. She knew better than to guess.
“What can I do for you?” she asked, star stuck in spite of it all, but knowing there must be something. His “cousin” had stocks in the team, or a certain string needed to be pulled. There was always something.
When he asked for the number of a girl from a few weeks ago, there was an all-too-familiar twist in her gut.
“Tom, you know that information is confidential,” she whined, masking her fear, turning back towards her desk. It was infuriating how disarming, intoxicating, and how solid he felt behind her, how smooth his words felt on the shell of her ear.
“It’s for Benny, babe, he’s got it bad for her,” it was a lie, but she didn’t know it, and the knot in her stomach loosened a little. His hand slipped under her blouse and it came undone, submitting entirely to the façade.
“Let me help the little guy out.” For all his charisma, she wanted desperately to believe he was sincere, so she did. Her hands started steady as she opened a thick binder and began flipping through the glossy dividers. She moved as slow as she could, hopelessly savoring his touch, knowing when it was gone, the unpleasant feelings would be just as strong.
But it didn’t take long to find you number and hand it over, and exchange more heated kisses and half promises before he slipped out.
The woman settled in her chair again, fingers tracing the letters of your name, the knot reforming below her breastbone. She reached for her phone, telling herself it was a courtesy, to give you a heads up.
-
When a player was about to steal second base, you always wondered if Santiago Garcia could tell, without even looking. If he could feel it in his bones, or if the hairs on the back his neck rose, against his sweat.
If he could, that was exactly how you would feel now, walking into the bar to see only Tom Davis waiting for you. The building was dim, strategically chosen by Will, allegedly, so they could drink in peace. As before however, there was no hiding the silhouette of a man like him, not when he was oozing confidence like sap from a tree.
When he had called you, it had been so shocking you had agreed without thinking. It was surreal, but like following a trail of candy through a forest, not at all like the knights in shining armor of before.
He swung his arm around, cocky smile across his face, and you shook his hand.
There could not have been a more awkward boundary made, but he laughed it off as you considered turning tail and running. It was ridiculous, but you couldn’t help how guarded you felt alone with him, so you turned to the polished woof of the bar and ordered a lemonade. It would buy you time, anyway, to reassess.
You had always thought of baseball players as beer guys, but he had a short glass of something gold and expensive, as if he were trying to prove a point. Slipping onto the stool next to him, you set your bag in between you like a wall. He was broad and he pulled close, making you almost press against his side, giving you the opportunity to realize his skin almost cold. Slow sips reminded you that there was no basis for your feelings, and you were the one being strange.
It wasn’t bad, talking to him. You chided yourself internally, thinking you made unfair assumptions. Really, he was a nice guy. He talked highly of his friends, even defending their lateness, taking the blame for the mix-up. It felt like one of those interviews your grandfather would watch sometimes, the way he could go on about himself and somehow tell you nothing at all. Fighting your instincts to give short, guarded answers, you found yourself sharing about your life more than you expected. Not a lot, but not nothing either.
It was awkward and nice, not unlike a first date and when his large hand covered yours, it didn’t feel half as slimy as before.
A spider’s web was feather-light, so subtle it was almost impossible to feel until it was too late.
His eyes were sharp and deep and certain as he shifted closer, and you felt dazed, despite all the alcohol you hadn’t consumed.
When he leaned in, though, a thought struck you. With his deep hazel eyes, the perfect beard, and tanned skin, he looked like a prince. Not our prince, though, it was just someone else’s fairytale.
Clarity and your own confidence warmed you like a jacket one rainy day, and you touched Tom’s cheek, holding his face at enough of a distance. You shed the web before it stuck and something flickered in his eyes – doubt, maybe, or something like fear, as you spoke the most prominent thought on your mind.
“What about Molly?”
-
When he heard you, again speaking words that weren't meant for his ears, warm pride shot through his chest.
That’s my girl.
Of course you weren’t, but it felt like you were.
You turned to him like you knew he was there, hand leaving Tom’s stunned face to wave at the grinning catcher.
Frankie had been at war with himself across the bar as he looked towards the two of you, heart wrenching. He had seen from the far side the room first how close you were to the other man. It was unreasonably terrifying to see that you weren't immune, to see you consider his friend. Then he saw how non responsive you’d become to Redfly, how politely you regarded him as he lathered on the charm. By the time he reached the two of you, he found you fully awake, handling it yourself.
When the woman had called you, her voice had betrayed something. It was formal conversation, just admitting she had shared your contact information, and disclosing that it was Tom, and he’d made it clear you guys were friends. Her tone, however, told you she was territorial and jealous, but also desperate, longing. It felt right to get out of the way – that’s what you and she wanted and you sort of thought that’s actually what he wanted, too. He was moving away from you, still processing, trying to play off the moment, and even more than pity, you felt a touch sad for them.
Still, you were impressed you were able to manage yourself. It was the same confidence that had filled you when you stood up for James, a confidence that came from a feeling that whispered something good was coming, something well worth the boldness.
When you felt a warm presence at your side, you felt even more sure. It felt wonderful, the way Francisco was looking at you. It was too early to read into it, but you were sure you wanted him to look at you like that again - like you were capable of telling mountains to move.
You smiled up at him, relieved, and he couldn’t help but beam back, wanting to hug you. He wasn’t feeling quite brave enough yet, but there was a resolve settling in his heart. There was no way he was going to leave your side tonight.
The other guys came quickly. Each of them was excited to see you again, and you pretended not to notice them shooting confused glances at Redfly when he slipped outside to spit on the ground and stare at the sky.
It didn’t take long for him to rejoin you, anyway, and his shoulders seemed lighter, his eyes just a little more thoughtful.
The group as a whole accepted you into their fold like they needed you, like each one of them had missed you when you were gone, like you missed them, like you belonged there from the start.
You had no idea how long the daydream would last, but in that moment it didn’t feel like it mattered at all. Collecting stories for James even faded as a priority as you just enjoyed the feeling of the glass in your hands, the laughter in the air, and teasing the men like they were just boys. Even after the last half hour, it was easy to trust Will’s sincere tone, and Ben’s eager blue eyes. The others were grounded at your side, steady and comforting - you felt yourself open like a flower to the sun.
There was something about the shape of the catcher at your side, safe and warm, like his presence was reaching for yours, aching with yours. Through the stories and the jokes you relished it, and his eyes made it clear that you weren’t alone. And even though the universe made it abundantly clear that you had no idea what would happen next, you didn’t feel any need to hurry. Fate seemed to know what she was doing.
In the darkness of the bar, only Santiago’s eyes saw Frankie’s hand find the small of your back.

Keeping It Real With Damien and Ava (Perfect Match)
A/N Over the last couple of days I have had requests for the OTP questionaire. I started to write them the way they are usually written: us writers answering the questions for the characters. And then I remembered how much fun I had writing Jenny's blog in my 'Birthday Surprise' one shot for #LoveHacks. The idea of treating each OTP pairing as an interview with Jenny for her blog came to me and it wouldn't go away. I am certain that someone, somewhere, has done something similar so credit for the idea goes to them. Regardless, I hope you enjoy! If not, I will revert back to the traditional manner in which these are done. XOXO -D-

Keeping It Real with Damien and Ava by Jenny Collins
On a daily basis we are bombarded with articles and interviews featuring famous couples who are trying to show the world how normal they are. Don't get me wrong, I think its great that Matt Rodriquez will go through the In and Out drive through to get his fiancee Ashton Jones a large order of french fries with extra ketchup; or that NFL quarterback Chris Powell and his wife Aria's idea of a perfect date is miniature golf. I love knowing that these larger than life people aren't so different from the rest of us; except, you know, their million dollar homes and eight figure bank accounts. Do you know what I love more? Exposing how awesome normal, every day couples can be, because lets face it the average couple isn't going to have the same issues Matt Rodriquez and Chris Powell have with their significant others. That's why I am starting my 'Keeping It Real' series. I want to show case how its not just famous couples that lead interesting lives, but regular couples as well. In the interest of being fair, I will be asking each couple the same questions.
When you know as many awesome couples as I do, figuring out who to interview first can be a bit tricky. As luck would have it, fate stepped in and made the choice form of my hubby Mark making a business trip to New York and inviting me to tag along. While in the Big Apple, I caught up with our friend Ben's sister Ava and her live in boyfriend Damien. We met at this fantastic little cafe near Central Park and over coffee, cronuts, and Damien's leeriness to invite strangers into his relationship (he's a legit private detective guys!) we delved right in to what makes Damien and Ava, the couple, tick! I hope you enjoy getting to know them as much as I did.
First, I just want to thank you guys for doing this!
Ava: Of course! There's nothing I love more than telling world how much I love this big lug! (she elbowed Damien in the side before hugging his arm and pressing a kiss to his cheek)
Damien: And there's not much I wouldn't do for Ava. (He's still a bit tense and leery at this point but willing to give it a try since Ava is so gun ho)
So, inquiring minds want to know how you met. (Its me. I'm the inquiring mind!)
Damien: (this adorable smirk comes over his face) It's kinda funny. I was out having a drink when I seen this little John Lennon wannabe hipster trying to kiss this girl who kept leaning back (he laughs at the memory) and I couldn't just stand there and do nothing.
Ava: (She starts giggling so hard its almost impossible to understand what she's saying) It was awful! My cousin Nadia set me up with him. The whole night he kept asking about how much I made because he needed a woman who could support him and his art. I had no idea how I was going to get out of kissing him when he kept coming at me with his lips like this (she purses her lips into an exaggerated fish pout and starts making kissy noises) Out of no where this guy (she jerks her head towards Damien) shows up and says 'That's my future wife you're trying to kiss!
Me: And you've been together ever since? (they look at each other and start laughing)
Ava: I wish! No, actually I just thanked him and we parted ways. It wasn't until a week later when my cousin Nadia was being stalked by some perverted cartoonist that we connected. And then it was just as friends. (She looks sad for a minute and Damien puts an arm around her)
Damien: We became such good friends that both of us were afraid to say we cared about the other as more than a friend. (He cuddles her closer and I swear my heart just about melted) It wasn't until I thought I might lose her for good that I made my move.
Ava: Excuse me! (She shot him a pointed look) I believe I was the one to make the first move!
Damien: (Laughing and throwing his hands up) Okay, okay, Ava was the one who actually made all the moves that resulted in us getting together.
You guys are too cute! I'm almost afraid to ask this though...who hogs the covers?
(They look at each other and then both answer)
Damien: Ava!
Ava: Me! (she laughs and gestures towards her body. She's super tiny, with very little body fat) I mean look at me. I literally blow away when the wind gets too strong. It's embarrassing, not to mention annoying. (She lets out a sigh and starts toying with the end of her long fishtail braid) I can never get warm enough in the winter. It's awful.
Damien: You should see her. She'll come to bed wearing this ugly thick socks, leggings, and this hideous sweatshirt that goes to her knees. (He gives her a bemused look) One of these days I'm going to burn it.
Ava: (gasps) You better not!
Damien: Don't worry, I will keep you warmer than that ratty old thing ever could. (He cuddles her again and I swear to God Mark you better be taking notes! I need cuddles like this in my life!)
I just want the record to show I don't support burning Ava's sweatshirt. (I say this while laughing) Next question. Hopefully this one doesn't result in threats: who texts or calls the most to check in throughout the day?
Damien: I think its about equal. (He seems a little hesitant while saying this)
Ava: (She raises one of her brows) Are you sure about that? (She then looks at me, smiling) He's not wrong, but it sort of depends on what's going on. If I'm working on an article and I know I have a deadline approaching, I tend to loose myself in my writing. (She smiles at me again) I'm sure you know how that is!
Me: (nodding) Absolutely!
Damien: Alright. Fine. I tend to text or call Ava more. I used to be a cop and am currently a private investiagtor, so I've seen some scary shit. (He shoots me an apologetic look) Is it okay to say that? Or is your blog one of those PG ones?
Me: (laughing) My last blog was about how to achieve orgasm while pregnant. I don't think a little curse word like shit is going to offend my readers. (The look on his face when I tell him about my last blog is priceless. His tan skin turns this adorable red color)
Damien: (he's shifting around now, like he's a little nervous.) Uh right. Well, like I said, I tend to do most of the random check in's...
Ava: But not always. Sometimes I'm the one with the free time and I blow up his phone.
Damien: Which is not cool when I'm trying to stake out a potential cheater.
Ava: (shrugs) What can I say? I'm needy. But (she grins at him and squeezes him around the waist) you know I love you!
You guys are literally the cutest! Speaking of cute...lets talk gifts! Whose the most creative when it comes to gift?
Ava: (she blushes a little) We both really suck at buying gifts.
Damien: Its true. My last gift to her was an iron because she said she was tired of paying extra at the laundry. (I can't help but wince. Guys, irons are not romantic gifts)
Ava: And my last gift to him was a years supply of notebooks and pens. (She has the decency to look at her cronut)
Boy, you guys weren't kidding when you said you both sucked at giving gifts! (The both nod at me, laughing)
Tumblr media
(Ava enjoying her tea after we left the cafe)
We take a slight break while Damien goes to answer a phone call from a client and I take my pregnant butt to the bathroom. When I return, Ava had ordered us some boba tea and these little spinach quiches that are almost too cute to eat. She gives me a sheepish look and admits she's basically a bottomless pit and needed more to eat than the cronut she'd devoured during the first part of our interview. We decide to go ahead with a few easy questions while Damien soothes a client. She tells me about him being an early riser and her sleeping like the dead until noon. We laugh over Damien being a sap during movies about animals, especially if the animal lead dies.
Ava: He cried like a baby during A Dog's Life and Marley and Me. (She peeks over her shoulder to be sure he's still on the phone) And you should see him at the end of Old Yeller.
Things are going so well, I decided to just go for the big guns!
So...Ava...between us girls who suggests new things in bed?
Ava: (her cheeks flush a little) That's a tough one because we're both open to trying to things. If I read an article or Damien hears or sees something during a stake out. (She's really blushing at this point) Lets just say we both like keeping things interesting.
Damien: Sorry for that. (He sits down and I catch him up. He's a little embarrassed that Ava outed him for getting misty eyed during animal flicks but gets her back) Did she tell you about her handcuff kink?
Ava: (At this point she's the same color of red as the crop top she's wearing.) Damien!
Any chance you like to give her a massage or two while she's cuffed? (I'm such a bad girl! I even winked. Who wouldn't after an announcement like that!)
Damien: Not the sort we're going to talk about here. (He actually winked back at me! He's definitely lightened up and gotten into the spirit of things) Besides, Ava's the one whose good at massages. She'll surprise me at work with Gray Papaya hot dogs and a shoulder massage.
Me: That's sweet! (Note to self, I need to surprise Mark with hot dogs and shoulder massages at work. Well, maybe not the hot dogs because San Fran doesn't do a dog the way New York does)
Ava: He's always so tense! I can't help it!
Does that sweetness cross into nursing him while he's sick? Or...
Ava: (Covers her face with her hands) I'm the worse when it comes to being sick.
Damien: Let her contract a simple cold and she acts like its the Ebola virus and she's on the verge of death.
Ava: (She drops her hands and scowls at him) I'm not that bad! (He looks at me and mouths that yes, she is that bad. God, these two are cracking me up!)
Lets talk jealousy.
Ava: (She looks at Damien, an amused look on her pretty face) Yes, Damien lets talk jealousy!
Damien: (This time he's the one blushing!) It was an honest mistake!
Ava: (She looks at me, trying not to laugh.) You know my brother Ben? (I nod as Ben is a dear friend) Well he showed up unexpectedly one day and naturally I was super excited-
Damien: Come on, Ava, do we really need to tell people about this?
Ava: You tackled my brother to the ground for hugging me because you thought he was some guy trying to cop a feel! (I have to cover my mouth so Damien doesn't see me laughing)
Damien: I didn't realize he was your brother! All I seen was some schmuck with his hands on my girlfriend! (he looks at me) next question please?
Sure (I am openly laughing now) how about something fun. Like who has the most embarrassing taste in music.
Ava: (She's adopted this stoic look and keeps clearing her throat)
Damien: Five words. (He shoots Ava a sly look) New Kids On The Block. (Ava groans and buries her face in her hands as Damien starts making oh, oh oh, noises.) You got the right stuff...(he elbows Ava) baby...
Ava: Please stop.
Damien: I love the way you (he's cut off by Ava placing her hand over his mouth)
Ava: Okay, fine, so I might have a few New Kids On The Block songs on my play list but you...(she jabs Damien in the chest with her finger) you like to listen to the Pussycat Dolls!
Me: Hey, I listen to PCD! (It's true. I have at least five of their songs, plus I seen them in concert)
Damien: There. You see. Nothing wrong with a little PCD. (We fist bump at this point and I feel like I've officially made a new friend for life.)
I'm almost afraid to ask if either of you collect anything unusual.
Ava: Do robots count? (They share a laugh and a look that has me thinking there is more to this story than meets the eyes.)
Damien: Ava has trolls.
Ava: (if looks could kill, I'm pretty sure I would be performing CPR on Damien right now) You leave my trolls out of this. (She looks at me.) Yes, I have trolls. My grandma collected them and when she passed away we each got to pick our favorites. I don't collect them though. They're around for sentimental reasons.
So...real talk...who takes the longest to get ready?
Damien: Believe it or not, I do.
Ava: I can take a shower, do my hair and make up, get dressed, and he's still perfecting his hair style.
Damien: Hey, it takes work for hair to look this good! (Let the record show that Damien really does have fantastic hair!
Does that mean he's the more organized and tidy of you two?
Ava: Ha! (She bursts out laughing so loud other guests in the cafe turn to stare.) Damien's idea of organized is keeping his fast food wrapper pile to the left of his desk.
Damien: You'd think, given my job, that I would be more organized. (He frowns slightly) Okay, let me rephrase that. When it comes to cases, I'm very organized. Personal space...not so much.
With the 4th of July having just passed, I need to ask: whose the most excited about holidays?
Ava: Neither of us? (She shrugs) Don't get me wrong, we love Christmas and Thanksgiving as much as the next person but we don't really go all out. I think that's mostly because my cousin Nadia never does anything halfway and we sort of just know she's going to go all out...so we just enjoy her efforts.
Damien: Yeah. I would have to agree with that.
Aw that's kind of a bummer. (But it explains why Ben doesn't really do much during the holidays other than show up for dinner) Cheer me up. You guys are clearly very cuddly with each other. (They're cuddled up again and I'm telling you Mark, they've built up expectations that you must live up to!) Whose the big spoon and whose the little spoon?
Ava: We do enjoy our cuddles. (She lays her head on his shoulder, their fingers twining together. I'm seriously jelly right now) During the summer, I'm the big spoon. Damien doesn't like to be hot, so he tends to throw off the covers, which leaves me freezing, so I have to cling to his back in an effort to stay warm.
Damien: So she claims. (He chuckles, his eyes twinkling) What about all those nights I've kept you warm by wrapping you up in my arms, huh?
Ava: You interrupted me before I could get to that! (She looks at me and rolls her eyes.) Men! I swear. (She rolls her eyes again) Before the big baby has a melt down...he's the big spoon in the winter. My own personal space heater. (She presses a quick kiss to his lips) There. Happy now?
Damien: I'm getting there....
You guys are both very competitive aren't you?
Ava: I'm really not. If I play a game a game, I play for fun. To me, its not about winning, it's about fun. It's why I was never any good at spots.
Me: What about you Damien? Are you in it to win it or just having fun?
Damien: I hate losing, that's all I'm going to say.
Does that carry over into arguments? (They both stare at me in surprise before laughing)
Ava: Not really. We bicker a lot. Sort of like we've done here, today, but we don't really have arguments.
Damien: More like disagreements that get heated...and occasionally the police show up.
Ava: One time! (she looks mortified that he brought up the police being called. Meanwhile. I'm thrilled that he's comfortable enough to do so) And I know it was your neighbor Mrs. Godowlski. (She looks at me) He made mad so I dropped a water balloon on his head from the window and the old biddy called the police saying I was throwing things at him.
Yikes! Sounds like your neighbor is a real winner there Damien. (He shrugs but there's a smirk on his lips) Anyways, Ben was telling me  you guys have the cutest little dog. Whose idea was it to get a pet?
Tumblr media
(Tell me that Buddy is not the cutest dog ever?!)
Ava: I don't think we really decided to get a pet so much as Buddy happened and it was love at first sight.
Damien: He was this little stray who hid under the bench outside my office building. One night Ava, was able to get him to come to her and he's been with us ever since.
That is awesome. Rescues make the best pets.
(They both agree with me and take another break. This time so Ava can respond to the twenty texts her cousin Nadia has sent. Hm. That could be a good blog, right? How many texts is too many texts...and how to stop yourself from sending them.) Damien and I briefly chat off the record about why I'm doing this and he even goes so far as to say he thinks its a cool idea. Thanks, Damien, I think its a cool idea too. I ask him how he keeps things romantic and he melts my heart by saying every night he stops by a local flower cart and picks up a single sunflower. “Some days my job is really dark. I spend a lot of time breaking up marriages...” I have to stop him here and remind him that he doesn't break up the marriages, the actions of the cheating partners do. “Okay, you're right. My point is, Ava's smile can take the worse day and make it better. Sunflowers make her smile.” He just gives this little shrug, as though he has not clue how freaking sweet that is.
Tumblr media
(I managed to talk Damien into one silly picture)
Ava: And I'm back. (She drops into her seat next to Damien and grins apologetically) Sorry, if I hadn't answered she would have started calling and none of us want that!
Its cool. (I consult my notes to see where we had left off) So...what traditions do you have?
Ava: You mean like couple traditions? (I told her that yes, that was exactly what I mean) Well, Damien likes to bring me sunflowers every day...does that count?
Me: Most definitely!
Damien: We have a joint Pinterest and once a week, I will pin a meal I want her to cook.
Me: Ava's a good cook?
Damien: Oh yeah. (Ava blushes but doesn't refute what he's saying. I kind of want to invite myself over for dinner right now) I burn water.
Any tv shows you guys like to watch while eating those Pinterest inspired meals?
Ava: Oh! Yes! (She squirms around, all excited) We both love watching this show called The Social Season. Its kind of like a telenovela. (She squirms again, her cheeks flushed) Its about this girl named Eliza and....oh gosh Jenny you just have to watch it! (She squeals when I tell her that I do watch it. How could I not? It's just that good!)
Damien: It is pretty good. (He looks embarrassed to admit that he watches a trashy romance series but I tell him he has nothing to be ashamed of. I tell him that Mark likes this drama known as Consequences of Secrets, which seems to put him at ease.)
Are these meals and shows watched alone or do you invite over other couples?
Damien: We spent a lot of time with Ava's cousin Nadia and her...boyfriend...Steve, as well as our friends Sloane and Hayden.
Ava: Yeah, we try to get together at least once every two weeks for dinner and games.
Damien: Drinking games
Ava: Not always! Sometimes we play monopoly.
Damien: While drinking.
We spend a few more minutes chatting and make plans for dinner later that evening. They want to introduce Mark and I to Ava's co-worker Lucy and her soon to be husband Flynn, as well as Flynn's sister Kate and her boyfriend Grant. Of course I jump at the opportunity. Who knows...maybe my next blog will be about one of them!
A/N Do you guys enjoy this method of answering the OTP or do you want me to go back to regular style? Let me know in a comment or reblog! Want to know more about Ava and Damien's favorite “shows” check out the fics: The Social Season and The Consequences of Secrets. Also, I  currentl have requests for Flynn x Lucy, Jamison x Adam (AME) and Becca x Zig but anyone would like to see other couples ‘interviewed’ like this let me know!

What I Like Most About Andrew Tate
An Exercise In Self-Introspection
Tumblr media
I was watching an “interview” with Andrew Tate and at one point he provided a profound exercise I would recommend we all do on at least a week-to-week basis. He said something like the following:
“Go over all your beliefs in life. Then ask yourself
1) Where did they come from?
And
2) Was that belief given to you with your best interest in mind?”
What a great thing to do for all beliefs big and small.
After trying it out this past week, I would also suggest rotating between what you feel are positive beliefs and negative beliefs in your life at this time. (You may find that they are only “positive” or “negative” because of someone else’s judgement and not yours)
For an example, I’ll go over one of my positive and negative beliefs I wrote down in my journal:
Tumblr media
Negative Example
Belief — Porn is naturally something most people take pleasure in.
Where did that come from?
Most of my friends, some family, and all acquaintances in my life have told me they have partaken and enjoyed porn.
Was it given to you with your best interest in mind?
I don’t believe it was. They may have originally came to this belief from porn producers/marketers, because this belief is what the porn industry thrives on. So there is tons of money in propagating this belief. And as the song goes “The Internet is for porn!”
Also, most people in society secretly desire everyone to deal with the same problems as they do, or at the least handle them(no pun intended) in a similar fashion. So, they try to glorify their own vices so others can be like them. Birds of a feather flock together.
Recap:
From this analysis, my own belief is that porn is an invader upon my household that is trying to sap my time and energy.
At best, it is a necessary evil until my sex life with my partners/wife is satisfactory. Or, if I was single, it could serve to speed up the process of releasing sexual tension. But in reality, I don’t need porn to release my sexual tension. All I need is my imagination. And a hand.
Tumblr media
Positive example
Belief — There is a God.
Where did that come from?
My family first, then the school/church I was forced to attend.
Was it given to you with your best interest in mind?
Yes, my family wanted me to believe there was meaning in life and that anyone who believes in a meaning and purpose to anything has more success and more happiness in the end.
Recap:
Unfortunately, the way my church and school tried to enforce this belief, helped make me into an atheist for the first 30+ years of my life. If my family hadn’t left it up to the church and school, I may not have been an atheist. School and church never used logic or common sense when answering the questions from any curious child wondering if there was a God. They did not use anything close to the Socratic method of understanding that true wisdom is not knowing anything. Those experiences immediately made me a non-believer.
But, the belief in God that I found on my own through 40 years of struggling through life has made me come to grips with now believing in God. Which God it may be in the end, who knows? But I do believe there is a God. One singular(aka Holy) creator. And more importantly, that He is good.
Tumblr media
Conclusion:
I try to spend 15 minutes every morning on a self-reflection/gratitude-meditation exercise, and this exercise from Andrew Tate of challenging my own beliefs by determining their origins fits perfectly in that timeslot.
I would highly recommend trying this self-reflection exercise for yourself and see if you find it as helpful as I have. Although, since it is fairly new to me, I can’t speak on whether it will help in the long-term… So, if it doesn’t help, I’d suggest tossing it and moving on. But, so far, the results have been invaluable for me.
To be honest, this isn’t exactly what I like most about Andrew Tate. I think his bravery to speak his mind, regardless of any hate he knows will come his way is his most admirable quality. But, Um… don’t ask me about what I hate most about Andrew Tate. Lol. I believe in only telling those sorts of things to that individuals face, and only at an appropriate time. Preferably, when neither of us are armed or under the influence.
またね
I hope these thoughts are helpful. Thank you so much for reading. I Agape-Love you all.
Until next time, God bless.

What Is Applicant Tracking System Software?
Manage The Recruitment Process With An Application Tracking SystemWhich Application Tracking System To UseConclusion
As a business owner, it's up to you to figure out how best to make company processes as efficient as possible. The less strain you put on your staff, the better things will be for your company. For example, it's not enough to hire talented staff that can handle heavy workflow when it comes to human resources. It's also vital to give them the tools they need to streamline the process and get the job done without pushing too hard.
Application Tracking System Definition
The application tracking system (ATS) is software for HR that can help streamline the recruitment process by offering an easy database to access new applicants. While the recruitment process might not yet overburden newer businesses, there'll come a time when a company gets too many resumes to get the job done with traditional documentation effectively. Therefore, it's crucial not to make things too challenging for HR staff, as you want the recruitment process to go as easily as possible.
Much like every other aspect of your business, the recruitment process can be made much easier with the help of digital tools and programs. Much the same way that digital marketing campaigns are streamlined with the right tools to help you tweak marketing campaigns, your recruitment process is made that much easier with an application tracking system.
Here lies the question of the day — which ATS should I use for my business? The good news is that there are plenty of different examples out there that can give just about any business what they need to maintain a smooth recruitment process. Thankfully, we've done most of the work for you, and all you have to do is choose between the best applicant tracking system developers below.
RecruitHire.com - The best type of ATS software is the one that offers an all-in-one solution to give your HR staff a much easier time. Are you interested in multi-level screening pages? What about easy-to-handle questionnaires that can easily screen applicants for your business? Do you want a platform that easily integrates into your business's other aspects, such as customer relationship management (CRM)? You're in luck, as RecruitHire is one of the top ATS software developers around, ensuring that you have everything you need in one convenient package.
Monday.com - As stated above, there are many different ATS software developers that you can trust. RecruitHire offers a great all-in-one package, though there are others in the running, such as Monday.com. What you get with the platform is an easy way to customize your applicant tracking system, giving you the most control over the process. It's all about getting as much data as possible for a single interview that gives you the insight you need on the applicant.
Manatal - With so many ways applicants can apply for jobs, it's only a matter of time before you start getting applications from different platforms. Social media is a fantastic platform for potential hires, and Manatal makes it possible to produce a more than decent applicant tracking system with social media as the basis. You won't have to worry about candidate sourcing and streaming, as Manatal offers the tools you need to streamline the recruitment process.
SAP SuccessFactors - In this list, some platforms trump others regarding certain aspects. For example, Manatal's specialty is social media, and RecruitHire is all about offering a generally optimized experience. SAP SuccessFactors is an ATS software system that focuses on data and analytics. It also offers plenty of solutions outside of the recruiting process, including payroll and general performance management.
Conclusion:
If your question is whether or not you should go for an ATS software system, the answer is obvious — it's a mandatory part of success in any industry. Even if you feel you don't need such a system right now, there'll come a time when the usual methods won't cut it. You'll have to go the extra mile and streamline processes with the right digital suite, and the examples above will get the job done.

Don’t Be Sad Pt.2
Chris Evans X OFC Sebastian Stan X OFC A/N:there was a part 1, but this is more for a friend and i, so be on the lookout for other fics in the future, i have two in the works atm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was strange at first being in a relationship with three other people, including myself of course.  I was dating Chris, but I was also dating Kait and Sebastian.  They were married, secretly.  She had told me it had been hard at times to keep things a secret, to hide it from the world.  Seb was afraid of people coming after Kait, he wanted to protect her.  Chris had been the same way, of course there were pictures of him and I together, but he never confirmed or denied that we were together.  I had seen the backlash Kait had gotten once Sebastian posted a photo of them together.  It was a simple photo, they were sitting together watching a sunset, but the hate came flooding in.  He stopped posting her after that, sparing her the hate he had gotten on a daily basis.  The love was overwhelming of course, but he was still scared.
So when news circulated that Chris had gotten married, he was sent into a tailspin of answering more emails than he could handle.  He hadn't worn his wedding ring at all during interviews, or press conferences, just like Seb had done.  I knew why he was doing it, but it still ate at me.  What if he realized I wasn't the person he wanted to spend his life with?  We had been married for a little under a year, and together for almost three altogether, but the doubt was always there.
“So, we're gonna put it all online” Chris was scrolling through twitter, snickering at some of Kait's tweets.
“Are you sure?  It's a big step to take” I looked between Chris and Sebastian, unsure of how I felt.
“He's got a picture and post waiting to be posted, and I have a little video I'm gonna upload, if they don't like it then tough shit” Seb shrugged his shoulders.
We couldn't spend our lives hiding the relationship, especially if Kait or I were to get pregnant, it'd become stupidly obvious something was going on.  So they posted their announcements and shut off their phones, doing the same to ours. Kait was fine with ignoring the world for a few hours, and who was I to complain?  We hadn't planned on leaving the house at all, and this was the perfect excuse.
I must've fallen asleep during one of the movies Chris put on, because when I woke up he was wrapped around me, arms tightening as I shifted.
“Come on, I wanna get some more pizza” My stomach was grumbling loudly, announcing to the room how hungry I was.
“Hurry back, I wanna keep napping against you” Chris was smiling at me with a soft smile, it warmed my heart.
“I'll be quick” I picked up my phone from the table and headed down to the kitchen, turning it on without even thinking.
It was going off every few seconds, there were hundreds of text messages flooding in, notifications causing my phone to crash and restart.  My heart was racing, I was going to go through all the texts first, and then weed my way through the notifications.
Most of the texts were people getting to officially congratulate us, family members saying how happy they were for me.  Those made me happy, especially coming from family. Now time to see what people were saying about me.  I clicked on the post that Chris had made, the picture was less than stellar.  I had been squished between Kait and Seb while watching a movie, I was wearing a pair of his sweatpants and one of his hoodies.  In all honesty I looked homeless, but the caption is what brought tears to my eyes.  “The three loves of my life, though the middle one stole my heart a long time ago”.  He was such a sap.
People weren't too fond of it though, they were calling me every horrible name in the book, ten times over. It didn't matter how many times I scrolled, or how much I tried to find something positive, everyone was screaming at me.
“Babe?  Are you okay?” Chris was standing in the doorway, arms crossed over his chest.
“I'm gonna lay down” I set the phone down on the counter, not even caring if it was locked or not. Chris knew the passcode anyway.
“Krista?” Chris reached out to grab my arm before his arm fell against his side.
Maybe the people were right, that he deserved better than someone who looked like me, someone that was pretty.  I could faintly hear Kait talking to Chris before the bedroom door opened, the sounds from the movie flooding into the room.
“Hey, what's wrong?” Kait climbed into the bed behind me, her arms wrapping around my waist.
“All those comments, telling me I'm not good enough for him” My throat tightened with oncoming tears.
“Don't you dare listen to them, they're just pissed off that Chris found someone he loves, they've been calling me some horrible names on Seb's video, but they don't matter.  You think dorito out there is gonna let some jealous girls tell him how to feel?  Hell no” Kait squeezed my waist, pressing a kiss to my cheek as Seb and Chris stepped into the bedroom.
I held my arms out to let them know that all I wanted was cuddles, it was the only thing that would probably help me feel better.  At least I had these people by my side, those people couldn't say that, and I was pretty happy about that.  Chris climbed beside me, kissing my forehead as Seb laid on top of me, laughing as I playfully slapped his arm.
“I don't know what I would do without you guys” I looked up at Chris, he knew how much I had struggled with coming to terms with everything.  Our relationship was the least of my problems, it was being in the spotlight that scared me.
“You'd be very bored, because we clearly keep your life entertaining” I rolled my eyes and pushed Seb off of me, he chuckled and plopped down beside Kait.
Well my life wouldn't be as eventful if it weren't for them being around that was for sure.  Sure they were going to get questions asked constantly about this.  Chris had hinted before that we were together, but danced around the question after that.  No one knew he was married, except now they knew everything.
“Chris, can I talk to you alone?” I looked over at him nervously, this had been weighing on my mind for a couple weeks. “What's wrong?” His arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me flush to his chest.
“This isn't about the posts is it? Cause I already put our phones away until tomorrow at least” Seb had a hand on my back, tracing small circles.
“No, this is something else” Kait narrowed her eyes, she could sense something was wrong.
The room felt tense, almost as if it was beginning to close in on me.  I could barely breathe, sweat broke out over my skin.  Just say it to him!  He's not going to leave you, or freak out.  It's just a few simple words, not like you're telling him you're dying.
“I think I might be pregnant” The words rushed out in a gush, my face heated up as I kept my eyes on his chest.  Had he stopped breathing?  Or were my eyes playing tricks on me.
“I knew it!  She hasn't touched a dorito in weeks, this baby is anti dorito” Kait jumped up from the bed, dancing around at the thought of a baby.
“They're not anti dorito, it's just the sight and smell is enough to make me want to puke” I hadn't been able to keep much food down lately, and Kait was the only one to really notice.
“Have you taken a test yet?” I shook my head and sat up, this was all too much.
Kait didn't wait for me to object before she ran down to the bathroom, screaming that she had found the pregnancy test underneath the sink.  I rolled my eyes and went down, it was now or never.
It was daunting waiting for the minutes to pass by.  The test was still perched on the sink, staring back at me as I stood up.  The word was printed boldly, and there was no denying it anymore.  I grabbed the small plastic stick and headed down to the bedroom.  They were all sitting together talking quietly, Seb had been the first to notice me standing in the doorway.
“You guys are gonna have to deal with me being very emotional for a little while” I smiled and held up the pregnancy test.
“Holy shit!  There's gonna be a baby!” Kait ran over to hug me, her arms wrapping around me as Seb walked over.
Chris was still sitting on the bed, staring at the test in my hand with an expression I couldn't quite figure out.  He had expressed to me countless times that he wanted children, hell we had been trying since we had gotten married over a year ago.
“I'm gonna be a dad” His voice was breathy, it held so much emotion.
“We're gonna be parents baby” Seb and Kait stepped back to let Chris pull me into his arms.
“Holy shit we're gonna be parents!” I couldn't help but laugh and wrap my arms around his neck. “You wanna call mom and tell her the good news?” Chris nodded before unwrapping himself from my arms.
The room was buzzing with commotion, Chris was on the phone with his mom telling her the good news, while Seb texted my mom for me.  I still refused to read any of the comments that people were leaving on anyone's post.  We were married, in a poly relationship and having kids together, everyone else could kiss our ass.
“When did you actually find out?” Kait was ignoring Chris and Seb who were now in a yelling match over who was going to cook dinner.
“Last month, my periods been late for going on three months, so” I laughed as Seb rolled his eyes at Chris's actions, they were fighting a losing battle.
“Have you scheduled a doctors appointment yet?” I shook my head, I was still trying to grasp that I was indeed pregnant.  My periods had skipped before, but now that I was married, this was surreal.
“Let me know when you do, I'll go with since the boys have a con this weekend” Shit, she was right.
They'd be gone for the weekend at least, and by then there would be more articles written about us.  It wasn't going to be a secret.  And if someone had seen me out and about with Chris before we got the chance to announce the pregnancy, well that wasn't going to fly with me.  This was our first child together, and I was going to make sure that the world heard it from Chris and I first.
“Babe, mom's asking when she can come visit” I looked over at the calendar.  They had the con this coming weekend, and after that they were free for a few weeks.
“Next week will be fine, if you're okay with her coming out” I loved his mom more than anything, she was one of the sweetest women I had ever met.
Chris went back to his phone, seemingly forgetting the argument he was having with Sebastian.  This was where I was meant to be.
*** Present Day “Babe, you spacing out on me?” I refocused on Chris who was standing in front of me, Lily was asleep against him.
“Sorry, just thinking about some stuff” I smiled and pressed a hand against his arm, assuring him I was alright.
“I'm gonna lay her down” Chris walked off to the girls bedroom.  Vi was still perched on Sebastian's lap, drooling on his shirt.
Kait was muttering under her breath softly, she was worried about her missed period.  I had been the same way when it came to Lily, and that's when we found out about her. She had found out she was pregnant a few weeks after I had announced my pregnancy.  People were throwing so much hate at us, saying that we didn't deserve our husbands, how ugly we were.  Sebastian didn't take lightly to it, and neither had Chris.  They posted their own messages, stating that they would no longer take the abuse thrown at us.
Most of the fans were just happy that they were happy.  They didn't care who either of them were dating, or married to in this case, as long as everyone was happy.  We were of course, even with two little girls running around the house all the time.  It was becoming impossible to keep the house clean for longer than five minutes.
“He's going to break my rib, I swear to god” My belly felt like it was the size of a house, and I couldn't wait for our son to be born.
“You're due in three days, it'll be fine” Chris plopped down onto the couch beside me, pulling me into his lap.
“You do know we can't have sex for at least a month after he's born right?  Those were the doctors orders after I had Lily” Our attention was caught by Kait as she ran out of the bathroom screaming.
Seb held Vi tight to his chest as he ran over, her face wasn't contorted in horror, she was crying. Sebastian tried to comfort her long enough to figure out why she was crying.  She only shook her head and held up a positive pregnancy test, that's our reason right there.
“I thought we weren't gonna be able to have anymore, not after what happened” Kait's eyes trailed over to Vi, she had suffered two miscarriages after having Violetta, the doctors were sure she'd never be able to have anymore kids.
“You guys get to deal with it now, I'm done after this one” I groaned and rubbed my side, I had been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for a while, except now they were worse.
Chris shifted slightly, nothing more than rolling his hips so his back wasn't pressed against the couch, but it was enough to tear a scream from me.  These weren't Braxton-Hicks contractions anymore, these were actual contractions and I wasn't ready.
Chris set me down onto the couch before he ran down to get the bag for the hospital, and Lily of course. Kait was trying to help keep me calm, though my body was having other ideas.  Sebastian grabbed the keys and helped me out to the car, setting me into the front seat before getting Vi in.  Chris was right behind all of us with Lily and the bag.
“Mommy's gotta go to the hospital sweetheart, you wanna meet your little brother right?” Chris was trying to keep Lily calm while I about had a panic attack in the front seat.
“Yeah!” Lily clapped her hands together excited, she had been talking about this since we found out I was even pregnant.  I wasn't sure who was more excited, her or Chris.
Sebastian got into the drivers seat once everyone was situated, thank god the hospital was close enough where we wouldn't have to wait in traffic for over an hour.  I'd probably of killed Chris if he made me wait a moment longer.
“God it's worse, it's so much worse” I tried to keep my breathing even, if I let it get erratic it was going to be even worse for me.
“I'm trying to drive as fast as I can without getting a ticket” Seb pulled into the parking lot with ease, pulling up to the doors so Chris could help me inside.
The nurses made sure to get me into a room quickly seeing as my water broke the moment I sat down in the wheelchair.  This baby wasn't waiting for anyone, and I was afraid I'd give birth before I could even change into a gown.  Chris stood by my side the whole time, letting me nearly crush his hand as they pushed my legs up.  God I hated this part the most.
He was laying on my chest, bundled in the soft blanket the nurse wrapped him up in, definitely had his dads hair for sure.
“Let them come inside, the girls need to meet their baby brother” I traced my finger along his cheek, smiling as his eyes opened for a few seconds before slipping closed.
“You did amazing babe” Chris kissed my cheek before venturing out to find everyone.
He was long, twenty six inches to be exact, and almost ten pounds.  It was a surprise he had even been able to fit inside of my stomach.  Or how he hadn't broken one of my ribs at least, from how big he was.
“Mommy?” Lily's voice was quiet, she was hiding behind Chris as they stepped inside.
“Come here sweetheart, someone wants to meet you” I pushed myself up gently, keeping James flush to my chest.
She looked up at Chris and Seb before running over to the bed, her eyes widened as they landed on the baby.
“This is James, he's your little brother” I couldn't help the giggle that slipped through my lips as she made grabby hands at Chris.  She wanted a closer look and knew the only way to get onto the bed was with Chris's help.
“Baby” Lily leaned over to look down at James.
“He was just in mommy's belly, but now he's here” I rubbed a hand along his back, listening to his soft breathing.
The room was all but silent as we all watched James sleep, it felt so comfortable being like this.  And even though I loved my children more than life, I was done with two. And with Kait having a second child of her own our house would be plenty full.
“I'll call mom once we're all settled, I'd rather you be home when they meet him” I nodded at Chris, yawning slightly.
Seb pulled Kait down onto the couch with him, shifting Vi so she was still able to sleep.  Chris picked up Lily and sat down on the side of the bed.  And I laid back with James against my chest, this was definitely where I wanted to be in life, I couldn't picture life getting any better than this.

Assembled raises $3.1M led by Stripe to build ‘the operating system for support teams’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CRM software accounts for one-quarter of all enterprise IT spend. But ironically, while a lot of money is spent on platforms like Salesforce or SAP to manage incoming calls and outgoing marketing and sales activity, not a lot of attention is given to the issue of how to help the teams using all that software work better.
What are the peak times for calls? What are the most common questions? Which staff are best skilled at what kinds of questions? And who is actually working at any given time? These are just some of the issues, but in many cases, there isn’t much in the way of tools used to help with these at all — organisations often just hack a spreadsheet platform like Google Sheets or a calendar app to get by, or do nothing at all.
Today, a startup called Assembled is coming out of stealth mode to address that gap in the market, with a platform that’s built specifically to address the kinds of questions and issues that customer support teams encounter and — answered well — can help them work much better.
Out of the gate, Assembled is announcing $3.1 million in seed funding led by Stripe — where the founding team previously worked — with participation also from Basis Set Ventures, Signalfire, and several angel investors (who are also mostly former Stripe employees).
Assembled’s longer-term ambition is to build tools for what co-founder Ryan Wang describes as “the logistics of customer support.”
“We want to become the operating system for support teams,” he said. Most immediately, the company’s focus will be on agent performance. “Teams to want to learn about their top performers and how they spend their time, and offer data to empower their decision-making.”
Stripe — the payments and related services provider that is now valued at $35 billion — has developed a sizeable operation funding startups adjacent to its own interests in cultivating relationships with startups and other smaller businesses. You could consider it a strategic investor in Assembled: alongside Grammarly, Gofundme, Hopper and Harry’s, Stripe is one of Assembled’s marquee customers.
Wang, an ex-Stripe engineer who co-founded Assembled with his brother John and Assembled’s CEO Brian Sze (both also ex-Stripe), said in an interview that the idea for the startup came directly out of the pair’s experiences as early employees at Stripe.
The approach at the startup in its early days was very grass-roots: employees would get together outside the office to go through support tickets as a way of identifying trends and to talk through them to figure out what might need fixing, how to handle issues in the future, and so on.
It was probably a great way for the team to really stay in touch with what customers needed and wanted. But eventually this approach presented a problem: how do you scale this kind of process? To a tech person, the solution would be obvious: build a platform that can help you do this.
“Within the landscape of CRM, we could see that tech hadn’t really been applied to the business of supporting customer support,” Wang said. “That is why we left. We’d understood that it was a broad problem.”
A tool to help improve workforce management for customer support teams is a no brainer for a company already trying to address these issues through its own home-baked solutions. Wang noted that one of its current customers had built out such an extensive map of data on Google Sheets trying to address customer support workforce management that “they broke Google Sheets. It was just too big.”
Indeed, Bob van Winden, Stripe’s head of operations, noted: “Millions of businesses rely on Stripe every day. To support them, we obsess over every detail of delivering fast, reliable customer service, including free 24×7 phone and chat support. This led us to Assembled, which our global support teams are using to stay coordinated and focused on helping Stripe’s users thrive.”
Less obvious is the use case when a company has never identified these issues, or sees them but haven’t made efforts to try to solve them because it seems too difficult. (The classic issues here are that Assembled is “too clever by half”, or “too ahead of its time.”) That presents both an open market for Assembled, but also a greenfield challenge.
One route to customers has been to integrate with more established CRM packages. Currently Assembled integrates with Salesforce, Kustomer and Zendesk, so that it can source data from these to provide more insights to users.
Another is to provide a set of tools that speak to the wider trend for analytics and data-based insights that can be used to improve how a company works. Indeed, just as Kustomer has disrupted the idea of a CRM being focused a narrow funnel of inbound requests, Assembled also is rethinking how to parse data to figure out what a customer support person should be doing and when.
The startup provides a way to forecast inbound support query volumes, and to map that into staffing plans that cover multiple channels like chat, email, phone and social media. The staffing plan, in turn, also acts as a scheduling tool to set up group and single calendars for individuals.
A team’s activity, meanwhile, is tracked through a set of metrics that whole team can see and use to calibrate their work better.
Going forward, you can imagine Assembled expanding in a couple of different directions. One might be to offer workforce management to more teams beyond customer support, but that also have to work out how to manage inbound requests and turn them into more efficient work plans. Another might be to continue expanding the kinds of tools it might provide to customer support teams to continue complementing basic CRMs, in particular as customer support comes to mean different things, depending on who the “customer” actually is.
“We see the term ‘customer support’ evolving,” Wang said. “The big struggle is what is the encompassing term should be instead. Generally, our view is that we want to transform and elevate what customer support means. It’s not just about call centers, but any drivers of customer experience related to your products.”

[gallery ids="1957470,1957471,1957472"]
