Red really enjoys camping. The kinda camping thats just like. MAYBE a tent if it's really cold. He can make due with just a sleeping bag. He likes being in nature. Can start a fire easily and knows what plants are safe to eat/touch. Green does not enjoy any of that. On his gym challenge he spent prize money on hotels to avoid it. Green doesn't hate nature, he just hates being dirty. Which is difficult to avoid when you're roughing it out in the forest. I think as adults they'd travel together to different regions like Alola, and during those trips green will make due with the occasional stay outside since he knows how much red prefers it. Red takes care of things like starting a fire/cooking over it and puts up a nice tent so green can be comfortable during it :)

Hi!!! I've been seeing your art for a while now and always wonder how you manage to make it so bright and colorful? What's the process like?

I've already talked a bit about colours here and here, but I always feel like drawing methods is a pretty endless topic so I'll see what else I can whip out! :3c I feel like I've been on a colour struggle bus for the last couple weeks, so this might also be my own trying to pull my thoughts together a little bit, I hope that's ok!

actually I'm just gonna start with one random thought and try to pull it into other thoughts??

so my beginning thought here is "accuracy to reference material isn't that important"

making sure that your colours work well together is a lot more important than them being accurate and it goes a long way in creating a mood. since I feel like bright colours suits my art better I sometimes worry about desaturating them too much, but I think it can also make smth look warmer and somewhat brighter in it's own way. (in this case Demifiend's tatoos get to stay bright bc theyøre supposed to be neon anyway.)

imo that also goes into the same thought of like. just bc smth is grey or black or white or yellow or whatever in a design that doesn't mean you can't still draw it somewhat correctly with different tones if you just keep consistent. These aren't the greatest examples since I think the values are a pretty messy But I do think they were really good practice for colour picking! hmm they also aren't very bright which is what you asked about, but I still think doing that type of stuff works as a good reminder you can go ham with stuff without having it look necessarily unreal

and remembering that, makes experimenting with random bright colours a lot less daunting. I also think that you can get pretty far with picking an assortment of colours that you personally think look good together and then trying to work them into where they fit best!

actually hold on I didn't rly know what I was saying and I don't rly know what I'm doing with art lately either but I put my different Nanas together and it's actually pretty interesting to just tap around them with the eyedrop tool!

some of these are a lot closer than I thought and some are a lot more different than I thought!

as a complete alternative to not caring about accuracy to reference, but for something similar, I think working with limited palettes have also been super helpful for me! it helps in finding out what kinds of colour combinations I personally like, and I think figuring out good places to reuse colours is super fun!

this is my only example that's not Mega old but smth like that! it can be rly fun to skip out on white too! I don't remember if I pulled these colours out randomly or not, but there are lots of places to find random palettes online!

EDIT BC UUUUUH. REALIZING LATE I DIDN'T RLY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MY PROCESS I JUST KINDA ADDED TO THOSE OTHER 2 POSTS UUUUH... The second post I linked has a link to a random speedpaint of mine that pretty much shows I just keep adjusting until the colours look right. For background stuff the best I can do is dig up some old tegaki screenshots of wips but they don't rly show much ?? And I still just trial and error my way through like I just keep testing colours until it works ok tbh

HEHE YEAH WE GOT SOME NEW ONES AND YEAH THEY GOT SOME LORE AND I WOULD LOVE TO SHARE IT FHDJDJDLDKDJJDKDKD Granted, they’re still very new so some of this could be subject to change but hey

First, Yuki is an Indian Star Tortoise yokai who grew up in a family of at least three others. Unfortunately for him, he was often the scapegoat of his family and labeled a problem child. This was not helped by the fact that Yuki was pretty reckless and had trouble controlling his anger. He’s just a passionate boy, but it didn’t do him any good in his family dynamic. After a particularly heated argument, Yuki got kicked out and is now living wherever he can find.

That is until he stumbled across a pocket dimension in the hidden city. He didn’t see much inside, that is until he came across some guy in there, unconscious and shackled to the ground. Yuki, using something he had found right outside of the dimension, free him and drags him out of the dimension.

This new guy, a spinosaurus yokai who we’ll refer to as Lazarus (the name might be sticking for good but hard to say) starts to come to as he realizes what has happened. He appreciates being freed, but he has absolutely no clue how Yuki managed to do it. The pocket dimension requires some sort of energy source to sustain itself and will fight to keep one in it at all times. **That’s how Lazarus got trapped there in the first place.** But now that they both made it out, and with no energy source to sustain it, the dimension would collapse in on itself and eventually rip a whole in reality (which would be bad).

The two decide to team up in order to find something to sustain the dimension as quickly as possible before chaos ensues. They get up to wacky hijinks and wholesome heart to hearts. Idk exactly what but it’s gooooooood. There’s bonding ^^

** oh and Lazarus got trapped in there because he had some ��friends” who dragged him out to explore and abandoned him there so now he’s a bit jaded, insecure, and riddled with trust issues :D

Remade and redesigned Alyssums' model, very proud of this one ^-^ I've figured out shoulders a bit more and now the elbows are just my greatest struggle.

Workin on gettin her into VR Chat but the poly count is a touch higher than I'd like > - > (also updating my unity version appears to have broken something so gotta figure out how to fix that with minimal effort before i can even do test builds lol)

my only general predictions for jjk is that Yuuji will be able to target the different souls in Sukuna’s body to be able to reach Megumi’s suppressed soul and attack sukuna’s. Im actually interested in how this will all go down, especially with Higuruma in the mix, since these fights can’t be as simple as two overpowered characters with the loss of multiple special grade sorcerers. With the potential of a court trial domain or Yuuji’s knowledge of the soul, I imagine it’ll become more psychological or metaphysical in the fighting, with a lot of good insight into sukuna and/or yuuji, megumi, etc. As for Kenjaku, I have NO idea where their story is going (apart from Yuuta wanting to kill them), but i enjoy that part of the story being unpredictable—it fits their character

New AU idea

Vincent doesn't become a Turk but instead goes down the route of their father- becoming a scientist who is assigned to Gast and Hojo's Ancient Regeneration Project...

They study flora and the fossilised remains of fauna to paint a picture of how the Cetra could have lived, what animals existed at the time, what plants have since gone extinct, and how the remaining plants and animals evolved into their modern-day equivalents.

Vincent is dedicated to their job and, for a while, forgets their roots as a Cetra and their morals; going to any length to find the information they want.

However, the creation and birth of Sephiroth is what causes Vincent to realise that- quite frankly- they fucked up. They've become so accustomed to the immoral, dishonest and downright criminal ways the Science Department at ShinRa functions that they've lost sight of what their mother tried to teach them as a child.

So, they go to Hojo and demand to put a stop to the project only to get a very blunt shotgun blast to the chest. They go through everything their usual counterpart does before being locked up in Hojo's lab as an example to the other scientists.

Hojo isn't aware, of course, that Vincent is now fully in control of this half-Chaos amalgamation that their body has become. They have tamed Chaos and taken full control of their body back even if the adolescent WEAPON has practically corrupted it completely by that point.
