The rain’s sudden arrival had left Sayid cold and wet, yet somehow he felt freer than he had before it had started. Like he could breathe deeper, a burden that had been weighing him down having been lifted off of him. He couldn’t explain it -- it almost felt like he was forgetting something, he just couldn’t put a finger on what. He’d bought an umbrella on his way home (he found it odd he didn’t already own one but it never seemed to rain here) and was making his way down the street when he saw the outline of someone in the distance in front of him. He squinted -- it seemed like they were just standing there letting the rain have at them. When he was closer and they still hadn’t moved, he tilted his head and spoke towards them, his voice raised so it could be heard over the rain. “Are you trying to catch a cold? What are you doing?”

when I started shipping it if I did: Of course. I was a firm Jate believer since episode one. It was obvious to me they were endgame, even if I wasn’t emotionally invested in their relationship to the point of actually shipping them (my first OTP was Sayid/Shannon <3). I started shipping them around season 5, and since then they’ve quickly become one of my dearest OTP

my thoughts: They are meant for each other. They are soulmates. They are perfect. They love each other so much it’s both painful and fulfilling. They were such a beautiful family and it’s too bad their fate was still tied to the Island, because they would’ve been so happily married; they would have had a gorgeous time getting old together. But the ending they had is okay, too. The only important thing is that they found each other, over and over again. I love them so much it’s hurtful!

What makes me happy about them: The fact that their love was true and they are together for eternity. They deserve this ultimate happiness.

What makes me sad about them: Kate being without him for so long. I do believe she wasn’t alone, that Claire and Sawyer and all the others stood together until the end, but she missed Jack greatly and it makes me sad.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I’m not much into reading Lost fics anymore but... I guess that I wouldn’t like seeing them fall apart as a couple to make space for other couples, such as Sawyer/Kate or similar. Like, having Jack as the bad guy t make other ships shine? Ew.

things I look for in fanfic: Deep emotional content. That’s it. XD

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Kate/Claire; Jack/Sawyer or Jack/Juliet (they are cute okay).

My happily ever after for them: They already have the happiest of happily ever afters :’)

who is the big spoon/little spoon: I don’t remember (shame on me) if we get to see them laying in bed together... But I’d see Kate as the big spoon, all plastered comfy on Jack’s back <3

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Being together.

How I feel about this character: I adore her. I would write PAGES about my love for her, but I’ll spare you. Just know that I adore her.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: omg... okay. Heero, Duo, Quatre, Dorothy, Noin and Hilde just a little. And Mariemaia. And Treize. Look, basically anyone: if you can sell it to me, it’s game.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I guess all the people mentioned above, plus Zechs. I can’t choose, sorry. XD

My unpopular opinion about this character: Okay this is hard. Once I could go with the “I love her” being unpopular, but nowadays people are starting to realize how awesome she is... Which is great, but it leaves me without an answer for this question. XD Whatever. I liked her before it was cool. That's my answer!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: The total and complete erasure of anything remotely linked to Frozen Teardrop. Just. Fuck that shit.

WHEN I STARTED SHIPPING IT IF I DID: probs like? halfway through s1? i don’t remember it was just something i was into

MY THOUGHTS: they’re just…. they’re My Girls, ya know? they keep me worm. idk it’s got a lot of in-canon backup which is really good to me. 

WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY ABOUT THEM: they Know each other, esp. in early seasons? like they just, in spite of everything, click. and i adore that! good dynamic.

WHAT MAKES ME SAD ABOUT THEM: most things??? like. i love late lost, in spite of its flaws, but claire’s writing was… Not Good after season 3 unfortunately and. i feel like that fucked with the dynamic. like, i adore s6 k/c, but they. they really goofed it up, with claire. idk.

THINGS DONE IN FANFIC THAT ANNOYS ME: the part where i’m producing a solid 25% of the content (exaggeration but. please write more, y’all.)

THINGS I LOOK FOR IN FANFIC: domestics, post show, actual communication and acknowledgment that they’ve done some messed up shit? and actual fic. ofc.

WHO I’D BE COMFORTABLE THEM ENDING UP WITH, IF NOT EACH OTHER: i’ve been… comfortably Skating by, let’s say, but kate/ladies is the way to go, esp. kate/sun. claire, i ship with a comforting hug and good writing. 

MY HAPPILY EVER AFTER FOR THEM: post-island they talk out their issues and run away together with their son and get married and it’s Nice.

ONE THING I WISH WOULD HAPPEN / HAD HAPPENED WITH THIS CHARACTER IN CANON: i want more backstory and less ugly wigs–and i also kinda wish they had given him a real happy ending like. with his fucking family and all that.
