Labor for the Food

Do not labor for the food which perishes. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” John 6:27 NKJV Praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ's matchless name ! The subject verse from the Gospel of John brings before us two important aspects — food and life. They further serve two realms of life. The first being the perishable food for the earthly life and the spiritual food for the eternal life with God. Since, the eternity could either be with the Lord our God or with the satan. Jesus the bread of life The verse says, not to labor so much for the perishable things like food, but to work hard for that food which endures to eternal life. Though the verse does not mean to eat nothing, but it definitely makes a point that the worldly food is not everything. The earthly food which is perishable in nature shall not make any person to live longer. But the bread of God which is from heaven endures us to eternity. And Jesus Christ is the bread of life. In other words, He is the only way to the eternal life with God. He conquered the death by giving up Himself on the Calvary cross. And God the Holy Father gave the free gift of salvation to all who believed in His only begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ. Seal of Ownership

God has set his seal of ownership on us. set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 1:22 NIV All the glory, praises and honor be to the Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ's precious name ! Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, the subject verse brings before us the guarantee of the Almighty God. The guarantee is that we are not our own, but the Lord's. Indeed this verse talks about our ownership by the Living God. The Almighty God has set his Spirit in all of us as a seal of ownership. Truly brethren, presence of Lord the Holy Spirit is indeed marks God's ownership. Accept Jesus as Savior Now, it is more important to check ourselves whether we have God's seal of guarantee in us or not. The work of the Holy Spirit starts with the message of truth, which is the gospel. And by the gospel of our salvation we are equipped to yield to the Holy Spirit of the Lord. The absence of Holy Spirit itself is an indication that there is no place for the Lord and/or the person is yet to accept Jesus Christ. Those who turn to Jesus and accept Him as their Savior and get baptized shall surely receive this gift of Spirit. As the following verse says, when we hear the gospel of our salvation and believe in the Christ, we have the seal, the Holy Spirit of God.
