Well I don't know about you all but to me Gi-hun was (mentally and emotionally) fucking with In-ho all season. Likeee you don't have to be in the same room to have an emotional impact on each other. When In-ho watched Gi-hun not kill the other finalists and he cried??? That is such an awesome moment to me. Like I just, I fucking love that!! Gi-hun made him cry simply by being fucking Better than him. By proving him wrong, by showing that yes he Did have a choice, he didn't Have to kill those other players. And In-ho goes and he cries about it. That's so powerful and Gi-hun doesn't even know how much of an impact he has just made!!!!

Like having a verbal or physical fight or winning a debate is one thing. But just going out and doing what you think is good and right and then having that simple action Shatter somebody else's entire worldview? That Is Power!!! In-ho wasn't even in the same room. Nobody was with him, he was just sitting in his stupid little armchair, drinking his stupid little whiskey, watching his stupid giant screen. He was physically in charge and yet nothing could have protected him from Gi-hun doing What Is Right!! Like what is In-ho gonna do about it?? There is literally nothing he could have done to change that. He can go in and have the guards murder every finalist Gi-hun decided not to kill and he still would have to live with the fact that Gi-hun Didn't Kill Them and the implications of that!!!!!! Like fuck my life this is the best thing I've ever watched because holy shit that is so powerful. Changing somebody's mind by being good. That's the coolest, hottest shit ever, Gi-hun you will forever be famous for that because you won!!!!

It's like before season 3 came out everyone was like "ohh who's gonna win the moral battle? Gi-hun or In-ho?" and I kinda thought it was gonna end up being ambiguous but no sir, this is the best part because Gi-hun So Obviously Won. He may not have won the physical games but overall he WON!!!

okay i’m sure someone has talked about this already, but when jun-hee jumped off the platform during jump rope, i feel she jumped instead of waiting for the timer to go down and getting shot (which would have been an easier, quicker, painless death) because the shot ringing out would have scared her baby :(

I finished Squid Game 3

I've never been a huge fan of this series but after all, it's nice, not the best, not my favorite but still enjoyable

I liked it even if there are many doubtful elements, some waste of things, some missed chances

But at the end....did it really end?🤔

Well not exactly, some things ended, but it's not that ending where "everything was solved, good guys won, bad guys lost/got arrested/died, back to normality", you 'only' saw what happens at every major character and how they went on

But still, it's more like bad guys are the only real winners.

Season 4? Milk the cow until it's alive, it's Netflix 😎, so probably yes

I don't know if we really need it, BUT if they have to, I would like to see some points like:

How pink guys (staff) are actually recruited? Why most of them are so loyal? How do they practice with guns and know exactly what to do? I think we should watch a bit more of this🤔

If I'm not wrong, maybe on season 2 there was a vip talking about exporting the squid games in other countries, what if next season is Squid Game in USA, Italy, UK, France, Germany? Somewhere else?

I wasn't really sure how to answer this since I only started getting back into sg after watching s2 and I don't really remember whose storyline I was most impacted by when I first watched s1

So much pain and tragedy with these two. The way they're the most important thing in each other's lives, each other's soft spot, the one weak point in each of their otherwise fairly solid worldviews/sets of values (thinking about this post about each of them defying their roles because of the other). Jun-ho risking his life to find In-ho and later continuing to search for him and protecting him (not saying In-ho shot him, keeping his identity as the frontman secret), and how haunted In-ho is after having shot Jun-ho, show just how strong their love for each other is. In-ho's remaining piece of humanity being his love for Jun-ho... Jun-ho's love for In-ho conflicting with the shock and pain at what In-ho has become... puts my head in my hands

warnings : spoilers for sg3, heavy angst, major character death, drug usage (not on reader), reader gender not specified, i miss my wife, first work after 6 month hiatus, I'm sorry for writing this.

It was chaos. Hide and seek just started, and there were already screams. You were in red, clutching the knife in your hands and you looked around slowly. You were pretty scared, but had a bit of confidence, just because you had a weapon. You and Hyunju promised to protect eachother, so you vowed to keep that promise by finding her and making sure she exits. You suddenly got whacked on the shoulder. You turned around with furrowed eyebrows and held the knife up. It was 124 and 333.

"Hey there, your majesty... 274." Namgyu smiled, clearly on crack. Myung gi looked embarassed, rolling his eyes and looking away. "What do you want?" You snapped back looking him up and down. "I just wanted to see if you would like to... join us on our epic adventure." Namgyu chuckled. "What the hell are you on about?" You frowned. "We can work together, and take down half the universe!" Namgyu grabbed both your shoulders and clenched his teeth together. You were not impressed. "Can you leave me alone? Are you sure you aren't going to drug me?" You said sarcasticaly. Namgyu frowned. "You know about that?" He questioned, "It's super obvious." "That's your first step! Thank you for joining us, we will be unstoppable!" He celebrated. "Wait, I never agreed to this!" You said eyes wide, looking at Myung gi for help. He just sighed.

"And what a bunch of help you are." You glared at Myung gi, "How are we supposed to be unstoppable when that one is useless?" You protested. Myung gi looked up at frowned at you, his expression darkening as he moved closer. "Hey, hey, you don't know that yet. He killed that bastard Thanos!" Namgyu added. "Well... I guess that's impressive, considering you're half his size." You giggled, Namgyu also laughing. Myung gi looked furious at you. "Let's just hurry up and go, I have places to be." Namgyu smiled at him and clapped his hands. "Woo hoo!" He yelled, letting go of you and started to skip down the hall way. Myung gi walked past, while giving you a dirty look. You followed behind them, a small smile on your face.

As the timer decreased, the three of you grew desperate. Myung gi wanting to find Junhee, you wanting to find Hyunju, and Namgyu wanting to get rid of all of the blue team. The three of you ran into a blue player, backed into a wall. You all looked at eachother , then Namgyu and Myung gi dashed towards him. You could take this chance to 'backstab' them by leaving to go find Hyunju, or you could join them, get an easy kill and have it over with, and trust Hyunju to make it out without you. You trust her either way, but the overthinking got to you. You started to sprint towards the group, catching up to them. But you were too late. They had already plunged their knives into the man. "I thought you dipshits wanted me in your little... weird relationship! Of course I'm thirdwheeling!" You yelled at them. Namgyu laughed. "Relax, we will let you have the next one."

"We need to find another one for us, we both killed him, so lets both kill another to be sure we pass." Myung gi stated, looked at Namgyu. "I thought I had the next one?" "Shut up." Myung gi snapped at you. "Ladies, ladies, lets just kill any blue player we see! We can guarantee our victory!" Namgyu suggested, twirling the knife in his hand. "Not all of them." You deadpanned, your expression dropping. "Why not?" Namgyu attempted to protest, but Myung gi shut him down by a look that seemed to have sent a horrible message to his drug-abused head. "Let's just go." You and Namgyu walked away, leaving Myung gi behind, staring at the man. The guilt in his eyes soon turned to some sort of twisted determination.

There was 10 minutes left. All three of you passed, but the two men continued to slaughter every blue player in sight. The three of you approached a door. "Use that key on it." You demanded. Myung gi rolled his eyes, took the key he had collected and pushed it open, only to find a not only another door, but several. And there wasn't a floor either. It caught him off guard, and he dropped his knife down to the bottom. "Fuck." Myung gi groweled. You and Namgyu bursted into laughter. "Shame." You poked him. "Shut your mouth, you son of a bitch." He was fuming. You and Namgyu turned around and walked the other way. You looked back at Myung gi, and laughed. A little while later, while Namgyu was teasing a 'dead' Player 100, Myung gi spoke to you. "Hey. I think I know what you're going to say but, I really need that knife." You bursted out into laughter. "What? You want me to jump into that starry hole and get it for you? I know you want me dead but, please." Myung hi furrowed his eyebrows and pointed the bloodied one in your hand. "Wait, this one? Are you kidding? No!" Myung gi sighed. "I need it to find Junhee. I promised to find her and-" "Junhee? Why do you need to look for her? Are you..." Myung gi closed his eyes and nodded slowly. "Oh." You hesitated, "I guess... you can have it. But you owe me big time. Any funny business and you're going to loose more than the knife." You gave him the knife, not knowing it would be your biggest regret.

As you and Namgyu were talking to eachother, Myung gi ran off without saying a word, you both followed behind him, just to see him dashing towards someone. "What the hell?" You yelled. "What are you-" Then it hit you. Your heart dropped your stomach when you recognized the voices he was following. You sprinted after him, Namgyu following behind you. But you were far too late. "Player 120, elimimated." The lady over the PA spoke. You felt tears forming, your heart practically stopped beating when you got to the scene. You tackled Myung gi, landing on top of him, causing to drop the knife. You stupidly tackled him into the room, not looking around before you did. You got ahold of the knife at plunged into towards his face, before Geumja stopped you. You looked up to see Junhee holding a baby. You snapped. You burst into tears and you looked over at Geumja. The tears were anything but happy. Hyunju was still alive, but slowly, as the blood leaked out of her. You crawled over to her, looking at her lifeless expression. You could barely process what was happening, so many sobs around you, and far too much blood. You tucked her hair behind her ears, as carressed her face. You couldn't even bring yourself to words as her blood coated your tracksuit.

"I woke up to the best sight to see this morning." You beamed. Yongsik raised an eyebrow "What, the sun? The clear blue sky?" "Hyunju." You replied, a cheesy smile plastered on your face. Hyunju scoffed and softly laughed. Yongsik glared at you. "Get a room." Geum ja smacked his shoulder and smiled back at you two. "You two are 100 percent more than friends! That wasn't a normal compliment or friend-to-friend banter!" Yongsik complained. "What, is that a problem?" You laughed, tilting your head at him. Youngmi smiled, and Geumja laughed. Yongsik rolled his eyes. "No, carry on." "What I thought."

You forgot about Myung gi. He yanked your hair back and swung at your face. You signalled at Geumja and Junhee to leave as you and Myung gi fought. Luckily for you, Namgyu was long gone, hearing a woman scream assuming that was his doing. Geumja helped Junhee up and they swiftly exited the room. The two of you brawled it out, you coming out on top, although the two of you both being beat to a pulp. You grabbed the knife and attempted to stab him in the chest, until a guard approched the two of you, pointing a gun at your head. "Eliminating a player on the same team is strictly prohibited." You dropped the knife and backed away. Myung gi getting up and pushing you out of the way to exit the room. You were left there with Hyunju. You collapsed next to her, reaching out to her. But you couldn't reach, you were too weak. You felt the tears pour down your face again. The timer went off, and you could hear Geumja screaming for her son, and then a gunshot. A pair of guards approched Hyunju with a coffin. You wanted to scream and fight them not to take her, but you were too weak and tired to do so. You watched her with blurry eyes get taken away. So much for going to Thailand, right?

CROW WHAT DO YOU THINK ABT THE S3 ENDING?

Well. Hello all that submitted asks asking about my thoughts on Squid Game season 3 + its ending. I needed a day to. Register. What I just watched. So here are my thoughts, get ready for a rant! WARNING FOR MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SG3 UNDER CUT

Long story short: I hated it -- and justifiably so. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate it because it didn't get a happy ending-- we all know I love me some tragedy. BUT. Gi-hun's death was just so.. empty? There was no mention to sae-byeok or sang-woo in the end, or even JUNG-BAE who died like the day before? Nothing to pay homage to how Gi-hun suffered and what he sacrificed. Honestly, his whole role in the season felt so passive. Those first two episodes I enjoyed his more manic side, but then he just becomes a background character. And then he gets stuck with the baby, and that is just a trope that I absolutely despise because it feels so very lazy: You take a main character who has lost the will to live, hand them a baby/kid, and suddenly they've got something to fight for again. Gi-hun's goal was no longer ending the games, it was saving this one kid (which yes, is symbolic of fighting the system, but I hated it). It's just so whatever, you know? All of that fight in him that we saw in s2 was completely disregarded. We never saw him take down the system he vowed vengeance again. He didn't accomplish anything, he never fought In-ho again, never got any sort of victory. He lost. And lost again. And again. And finally, one last time. He failed and sacrificed himself to save a kid that isn't his own (which is admittedly in character for him, but is still so lazy and unsatisfying).

AND we never got the Gi-hun x In-ho confrontation we needed. When In-ho revealed himself, Gi-hun said nothing. Nothing. No big ideological verbal fight between them, no hurt words of betrayal, no "... young-il?" or ".. why?" We got NOTHING. Nothing. And the season was marketed as the big finale to their feud -- we got one scene with them together, nothing was concluded and that was it.

And don't even get me started on what they did to In-ho's character too, who was just as passive as Gi-hun the whole time. Also, the fact that he gets to walk away alive from the island after all he did?? And Gi-hun dies?? And don't give me that "in real life, bad guys get away with everything" spiel - he was too complex a character for that to be a satisfying conclusion to his entire arc. He should've never made it off that island alive - he should've died there, surrounded by the ruins of a system he built and was built by.

There's so much else to say about how bad this season was. The pacing, the finalist choices (Player 100... really?), the arcs of the other characters (im looking at you, Dae-ho), the VIPs (again?). But honestly, I just don't want to lmao. I'm not gonna sit here and tear apart the season because I hated it enough that I don't even care to.

There is a silver lining in the end (and no, it's not that the kid lives, I don't care that was stupid and I saw it coming from a mile away). The silver lining is that we are still here: the artists, the writers, the readers, the animators - all of us. We still hold these characters, we can still write the stories they deserved and never got.

To anyone who enjoyed the season, I am glad you did! Just because I didn't doesn't mean you can't. I'm glad you found a satisfying conclusion to the story. But as a lover of stories myself, I was sorely and completely disappointed -- and that's okay too.

With all of that said, Nobody's Soldier will certainly have a better ending than what we got (although, that doesn't say much considering how bad the canon ending was). I will finish it and it will be more satisfying and truer to Gi-hun and In-ho's characters.

I can't say when the fic will be updated next, but it's coming. Until then, brandish your fanart, your fanfictions, edits, and everything in between. These characters deserve better, and we're going to give them better <33

IZZY'S SG3 TRAILER THOUGHTS

the jump rope game is based off a train track/station. i find this interesting, considering trains are used for transportation and movement of people + cargo, but also frequently used in media as suicide/death methods. people being tied to train tracks and stuff. that's kinda a weird comparison but that's what i thought of. also. the subway train is where the recruiter found most of the players.

the fuckass square guard is back. why is he always here i cant.

gi-hun is questioning why he's still alive because he knows it's not fair. he FUCK he's now the one given the unfair treatment and he doesnt want it. he doesnt want to be seen as a martyr because its common sense to him. not to mention, earlier the games were literally changed for him (the new voting). he doesn't want to be special.

ugh my poor babies :( dae-ho isn't beating the suicide allegations. neither is gi-hun, why did he grab the gun like that?? i fear he was about to blow his head off right then and there. (maybe not, but it's still concerning)

zero sympathy for you btw.

the blues indeed have keys. keys must open doors. reds must kill blues to get the doors.

which means we might actually see gi-hun kill somebody. but at the same time, gi-hun might intentionally throw. tbh idk how any of this is going to work yet, but we know he survives to the end, and is red (assumedly the team with weapons) so that leads me to think smth like that may happen.

BUT don't fear. i think gihun being forced to kill someone wouldnt be a sign of him losing his humanity, but rather him better understanding the struggles of those are in the games and therefore having MORE empathy for the victims. we know he doesnt blame himself for the games, rather the system.

not to mention.. heh.. i think he'd finally be able to better understand sang-woo and why he did the things he did IF that were to happen. #sangihun

NOTABLE BLUES: dae-ho, 440, 18(9?)7, 172, seon-nyeo and her cult, the rest are too blurry for me.

I feel like there’s so many gaps for the new season of Squid game, like we didn’t get to properly see the back stories of some of the side characters like noeul and masked officer (which btw he doesn’t have a name), it felt rushed too! I feel like they’re under pressure since a lot of people have been waiting for the new season and Squid Game is so hyped as well, the episodes is not it too! I feel like it should be longer maybe 9-11 eps?

There’s way too many questions that is left not answered, i frel like this isn’t how HDH want sg3 to end…. We didn’t get to see more interactions between gi hun and in ho, or how did in ho met captain park, the salesman, or even how did the masked officer became masked officer, did in ho talked to him after winning the games? And masked officer said yes because he also lost someone who needed a transplant? Like im so upset rn, there’s so many gaps waiting to be filled but they didn’t, there’s so many interesting predictions and what if’s but it didn’t happen, it happened mostly the deaths that we’re so sure it’ll happen.

Also I don’t want this fandom to die because of that fuck ass ending, ya’ll are nice and so fun to talk with, the predictions, edits, fan arts, and even the fan fictions—top tier!

Thoughts on the Shimmers? If i'm being honest i don't have any strong feelings about them. when i was watching ii i did get spoiled on bots new look and the whole time i was just like "oh they must come from that egg!" and then the egg became an egg creature from an egg species. So i was just like "OK I GUESS WE DOING CIRCLES NOW????". I was hoping for a really cool looking alien design, but i accepted that they are just eggs. I'm crossing my fingers for the next season to talk about their lore more, and just other alien species maybe since now it is confirmed there are more then just cobs and ii. How did cobs know about the shimmer? was he a fucking space war criminal??? there must be more objects out there that's not made by mephone. it honestly makes me really excited!!! i know they're not going to go straight onto the lore stuff for season 4, but i'm just so excited on who would even be the HOST next season, is there even gonna be a host???? SO MANY QUESTIONS AND IM EATING THEM UP!!!

Thoughts on MePads Death: mepads death was very much a shock for me, i'm in the ballpark where there's no way they're just going to leave him dead, cobs is dead, they can raid his place for parts. there's test tube that can save him. like there's so many variables that CAN save him it just makes sense that he would come back. But they can also be fucked up and evil, keep on going on the theme with "death is forever now" and that starts with mepad. I fear mepad is just another one of those burning questions i can't wait to see get answered on season 4

Favorite character(s)/character dynamics: OH JOY HOW I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS! i do love the bright lights group a lot, fan, test tube, paint brush and lightbulb. Have a soft spot for the final 2, suitcase and knife, but i think that's just because I've been around them the most the whole season. LOVE bot, floor, mepad and mephone4. I'm also very smitten on mephone3gs, i love his whole "space adventuring super hero from the 50s" voice, it's the right amount of cheese for me and i eat it up. My favorite dynamics are just the same fav characters i listed. fan and test tube are just two autistic nerds in love. paint brush and light bulb is a dynamic i constantly eat up "the hot head and they happy one". when i saw them i knew ii got me and there was no escape from my predictable self. i do actually like knife and pickle a lot! mephone4 and 3gs is a dynamic i can't wait to see in the next season. mephone got a new older brother thats a badass space adventuring super hero LIKE COME ON THATS SO CUTE. the last scene with them hugging literally makes me tear up every time. I can only just imagine, depressed mephone just like eating his life away on the couch and sg3 is just trying to help him with his space captain attitude.

minsu's plot in s3 was actually very important to me. i've seen people complain about it and say that namgyu should've hallucinated thanos instead of minsu, which i do understand. it would've been nice to have namgyu hallucinate him and also keep minsu's hallucinations. but the way the drugs and hallucinations affected minsu were so interesting and DEVASTATING!!

no matter who he hallucinated, he imagined them berating him. all angry at him for not saving semi because he was suffering from so much guilt.

and the semi hallucination right before he died was so. OH MY GOD. i thought of it as her telling him to join her in the afterlife, which was probably entirely the point but i can't tell what they were going for in that fuckass season to be honest.... anyway, minsu's plot was one of the only good things in season 3 in my opinion. FUCKKKKK HE'S SO ME

I watched all of the third Squid game, and found a moment that reminded me of Boothill (not a single day without my beloved man 💔)

Spoilers below the cut!

That's just a silly thought that was sponsored by the post I've read from @divinity-haven (I'm not sure how tagging works in Tumblr, shout-out if you're seeing it, I loved your analysis!). It was a discussion about Boothill's inability to see himself in a good light, to not put a blame upon himself for things that's long gone. While what I'm gonna talk about is a bit different, it's still quite related.

And there's a situation with Seong Gi-hun on the screenshots below. I just feel like Boothill would act pretty much the same.

Because on words, he's also "not the one" to be a good person, but the one who has lost a long while ago, somebody who's now "hard and cold".

But he still would've fought for someone else's child like his own, and do it without a doubt not just because he used to have a little girl too, but because of his genuine wish to protect the innocent and help out those in need. Like Seong Gi-hun promised Jun-hee to return for her in the fifth game and help her reach the end. It's not really justice, it's care for another who's in a vulnerable position. And Boothill would do the same. Because he is not bad or selfish. He has never been.

I promise it's not too deep of a comparison, it's just my soul that shattered then I decided to think about it.

I wanna say Gi-hun tends to be pretty misunderstood, both in the sense of people not understanding why he does certain things and viewing him in a very black-and-white way (which people also do with a lot of other characters but yeah, as others have mentioned some people seem to either focus on the bad things (such as not going to see his daughter or not giving his money to people who might need it (which might've prevented them from needing to go to the games)) while brushing aside all the good things or vice versa (I feel like the latter might be more common but I'm not sure tbh)

NCIS Fic Rec List

I’ve always enjoyed finding new stories from other people’s rec lists and since I have managed to accumulate my own list, thought I’d make my own! I watched NCIS through to S12-13. Tony was by far my favourite character, so most of my recs center around him in some way. I also have a number of crossover recs - mostly with Stargate. A lot of the recs are from FFN as lots of these stories are from 10-15 years ago. All recs complete unless otherwise indicated.

Review:  Well-written story about a series of cases too much of a coincidence to not be connected. Gibbs goes after it with his usually stubborness, and his own brand of compassion - and his team is there to prop him up. Not the type of fic I usually read, but well-done, and probably the best NCIS Case-fic I've found. ♥

Review: Great fic, set on the plane ride home. Tony's feeling guilty, and Gibbs notices. Very well done and an excellent Tony POV.**

Review: Well-written. More parental!Gibbs than canon, but totally in character. Has a sequel, A Sense of Family. ♥

Author's Summary: 'Tony has done it again - got himself into trouble and he is now having to face the unpleasant results of his own actions. Gibbs decides to intervene.'

Review: Tony covers for an agent who made a mistake, exposing himself to the elements and getting sick in the meantime. Gibbs is soooo not impressed. Especially when Tony seems to lose all common sense afterwards. Very well done - definitely get a harder side of Gibbs than you normally see, and a Tony who you can tell is more than just a bit broken.**

With Gibbs undercover, they are able to get back the missing man, and then Jack has fun torturing Gibbs team in training scenarios. Realistic and interesting fic.*

Review: I love Tony’s interactions with SG-1 as well as the story, but the NCIS bashing is a bit more than I usually like. Overall interesting! Love the use of Tony’s undercover skills.*
