These are some of the #bookmails I read this Spring. I enjoyed each and one of them and highly recommend.
The Book of Lost Hours by Hayley Gelfuso – A sweeping historical fantasy about time, memory, and a mysterious library filled with books containing the memories of those who witnessed history.
Palm Meridian – A heartfelt, bittersweet story set in a Florida retirement resort for queer women. It’s a celebration of aging, friendship, and love, with a touch of humor and deep emotional moments.
Let Them Stare – A vibrant YA novel about a gender-nonconforming teen navigating small-town life, fashion dreams, and a ghostly mystery. It’s quirky, rebellious, and full of queer joy.
I Bet You’d Look Good In a Coffin – A darkly humorous thriller featuring Kitty Collins, a serial killer with a sharp wit and a mission against misogyny. If you love twisted, fast-paced crime fiction, this one’s for you.
The Book of Lost Hours – A sweeping historical fantasy about memory, time travel, and secret organizations. It’s perfect if you love intricate world-building and deep emotional stakes.
Skipshock – A genre-blending fantasy romance set in a universe where time dictates power. It’s immersive, unique, and packed with adventure and intrigue.
And now that we are officially into Summer here in 🍁, the heat is on. I am soaking as much sunlight as I can. The backyard swing is my chosen reading spot.
QOTD: Where's your chosen reading spot this Summer? Drop your Summer reading list down in the comments, too, please.

SITGES, SPAIN ON THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA Part of the Series - EUROPE 1971 SPAIN / FRANCE/ SWITZERLAND Film in 8mm by Marguerite R. Fernando Film Scanned & Digitally Restored by Russell Paul Fernando When I was 9 years old my family took a wonderful vacation throughout Europe. This was the very beginning of the trip. We flew over the Atlantic on the first Jumbo Jet - The Pan Am Boeing 747 - from New York, USA to Lisbon, Portugal & Barcelona, Spain. We spent a week in Barcelona & Sitges Spain enjoying the sparkling Mediterranean & the warm sandy beaches, and the brilliant sun. We loved to take out the pedalos - a small recreational water craft propelled by pedaling action. A great way to navigate The Mediterranean! For shade we wore our colorful sombreros while making sand castles. We kept cool & refreshed all day long by swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Stay tuned for more in this exciting series... "Till Death Do Us Part" by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn - Book Review @simonschuster @SimonSchusterCA #TillDeathDoUsPart @laurellizabeth #BookReview
They say that when someone loses someone they love, they seek closure. When that person’s body is never found, closure is hard to attain. “…the amount of time you spend with a person means nothing. Because no matter how many questions you ask, you’ll only ever see the parts of them that they allow you to see. The rest stays buried.” June married Josh ten years ago. After knowing him for only six…

There’s heavy topic in the book, so like i always say check tw before going in. I request and receive an ARC of this book from the publisher on Netgalley. Thank you @simonschusterca She gets the girl gave me all the feels of those Christmas Romance movies that i binge watch every year from Dec 1 to Dec 31. It’s my guilty pleasure. So you can understand how i felt reading this book. We’ve got an MC confident, flirty, toxic, and come with alot of baggage. And another one with social Anxiety(same honestly), on a quest to be a better version of herself. And here come the manipulative behaviour, the lets help each other out even if we have our own agenda,im using you/you using me but it’s ok. I love the friendship that came before the falling in love, i was grinning alot. The way i could see the character behaviour changing when they were together. As someone who for most of her life has been a Molly i was so happy seing her becoming herself, getting the opportunity to show who she is really is, having someone giving her a chance. Having someone fall in love with you for who you really are and appreciate it. Uhhh the feels(intense screaming and giggle in my pillow). I might not be an Alex in my life but i felt for her, felt for the way she was judge by almost everyone even that so called girlfriend of hers 😡. Putting her in a box just because of the way she looks. I was also so upset at Alex yelling at her for not seeing in what type of relationship she was in. Like come on Girl if you need to change for a relationship(looking at you to Molly), if you never get uplifted, if all you get is second handed compliment, if all they ever talk about is what you do wrong, time to call it quit. Fav character: i got to handed it to Jim, my man was good. He was there when he needed to be without asking any question chef kiss Least fav character: NAT(hate the fact that it’s also my nickname irl). I wanna fight her. How can you be so TOXIC, omg omg 🤬🤬 Fav scene: The library scene(the one before Cora called), the one with all the tension. Got annoyed at Cora there cause can i have a nice thing going #queerbooks #shegetsthegirl #sapphicbooks #lgbtqbooks #queerbookstagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CbBizc0OiPt/?utm_medium=tumblr

I recently received a copy of Ruth Ware’s upcoming novel, One By One, from @simonschusterca! Though I haven’t read anything yet by Ware, I’m always hearing amazing things. I can’t wait to finally jump into her newest book in the near future! 📚
Do you read thrillers? I’ve always been one of those people who love the idea of thrillers, but rarely pick them up. I know there are some amazing ones out there, so maybe there will be more thrillers in my near-reading future? 🤔📖

REVIEW: The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch
REVIEW: The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch @robbie_couch || A bit mystery, a bit awesome scooby gang and epic promposals. #QueerYA #LGBTQIAFiction #YoungAdult #Books #edelweiss @SimonSchusterCA
The Official Description: Sky’s small town turns absolutely claustrophobic when his secret promposal plans get leaked to the entire school in this witty, heartfelt, and ultimately hopeful debut novel for fans of What if it’s Us? and I Wish You All the Best. Sky Baker may be openly gay, but in his small, insular town, making sure he was invisible has always been easier than being himself.…

[Blog Tour] Blood Like Magic by Liselle Sambury │ Book Review
Don't miss out my #blogtour for Blood Like Magic by @LiselleSambury on my blog today. Thanks to @TBRBeyondTours @SimonSchusterCA @NetGalley for the ecopy of this book. #BloodLikeMagic #LiselleSambury #tbrandbeyondtours
Hey guys! I just finished this book today and am writing the review. I was completely exhausted yesterday, so I couldn’t read a single page, but I’m glad I was able to finish it on time. I’ve never been this tardy before, but I’ve learnt my lesson now. I’ll try not to postpone reading books from now on. Definitely cut it too close, but phew! Barely missed it, but I’m happy that I could write the…

📚 Hello book friends! ONE BY ONE by Ruth Ware is coming to your favourite bookstore today. I am starting this book next. Keep an eye for my review coming soon. . ✏️ Synopsys: Getting snowed in at a beautiful, rustic mountain chalet doesn’t sound like the worst problem in the world, especially when there’s a breathtaking vista, a cozy fire, and company to keep you warm. But what happens when that company is eight of your coworkers…and you can’t trust any of them? . When an off-site company retreat meant to promote mindfulness and collaboration goes utterly wrong when an avalanche hits, the corporate food chain becomes irrelevant and survival trumps togetherness. Come Monday morning, how many members short will the team be? . 🙋🏼‍♀️ Thank you, Simon & Schuster Canada for sending me an e-copy of this exciting book. ONE BY ONE by Ruth Ware is now available at your favourite bookstore. . 👩🏼‍🏫 𝗤𝗢𝗧𝗗: If time stopped and froze everyone except you for an hour every day, what would you do with your hour? . @simonschusterca @ruthwarewriter https://www.instagram.com/p/CE4yhnlAxNI/?igshid=11uwzmcsz3vhn

{ NEW ARC💕 Thank you @simonschusterca for this gorgeous arc of The Paris Library by Janet Skeslien Charles ! Here is the synopsis : " Paris, 1939. Odile Souchet is obsessed with books and the Dewey Decimal System, which makes order out of chaos. She soon has it all – a handsome police officer beau, an English best friend, a beloved twin, and a job at the American Library in Paris, a thriving community of students, writers, diplomats, and book lovers. Yet when war is declared, there's also a war on words. Montana, 1983. Widowed and alone, Odile suffers the solitary confinement of small-town life. Though most adults are cowed by her, the neighbor girl will not let her be. Lily, a lonely teenager yearning to break free of Froid is obsessed by the older French woman who lives next door and wants to know her secrets. As the two become friends, Odile sees herself in Lily – the same love of language, the same longings, the same lethal jealousy. The Paris Library’s dual narratives explore the relationships that make us who we are – family and friends, first loves and favorite authors – in the fairy tale setting of the City of Light. It also explores the geography of resentment, the consequences of unspeakable betrayal, and what happens when the people we count on for understanding and protection fail us. "The Beloveds" by Maureen Lindley - Book Review @GalleryBooks @SimonSchusterCA @simonschuster #TheBeloveds #BookReview
After the first chapter of this book I was thinking No! This is not for me! The protagonist was a malicious, narcissistic, jealous, and quite deranged person without any empathy for others. As is my wont, I read on, seeking to give the book a fair chance… Like being unable to look away from a train wreck, or a car crash, I couldn’t help but keep reading. Betty (aka Elizabeth, Lizzie) is the sole…

I still can’t believe I got my hands on this ARC! 😱 Thanks so much to @gsprendergast and @simonschusterca for the copy! 🥰🖤 • Happy Sunday, everyone! This is the last week of summer break and I can’t believe it’s already over. It just flew by, especially with my trip, and I’m sad to see it gone 😭 At least I didn’t spend all of it in bed like the past two years 😂 • QoTD: what’s your favourite season? AoTD: I LOVE autumn. The leaves, the colours, the weather. And all the fall releases! I like colder temperatures and drinking tea, plus BC is the most lovely during fall 😍 • • • • #bookstagram #bookish #bookstagrammer #books #bibliophile #booklover #bookworm #bookishfeature #bookishcanadians #gsprendergast #zerorepeatforever #coldfallingwhite #dystopian #yadystopian #simonandschustercanada #arc #photography #bookishphotography #qotd https://www.instagram.com/p/B1mMoVDA-W8/?igshid=1wcqu367tilok

Have you read any of Ruth Ware’s books? I have read them all including her latest, THE TURN OF THE KEY, which is scheduled to be released on August 6th. Once again Ruth Ware has given us a gripping thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. She is the queen of modern suspense with touches of the old world. In this story there was an extreme sense of a jolting dislocation within the high tech house and with the people that inhabit it. I find all of Ware’s books are super enthralling and I am quite the fan. The Turn of The Key was captivating from beginning to end and I would highly recommend it for someone who likes a modern thriller. That being said, there were a couple things in this novel that I questioned and would love to discuss with anyone who has read or reads the book once it comes out. I can already picture hours of book club discussions with this one. This novel was creepy, mysterious, and unputdownable. It gets a solid 4/5🌟 rating from me! . . . Thank you to @simonschusterca for sending me this advanced reader’s edition. . . . . . . . @ruthwarewriter #ruthware #theturnofthekey #thelyinggame #thewomanincabin10 #inadarkdarkwood #thedeathofmrswestaway #booksandsocks #socksunday #sockgame @fbombtrading #theuncommonthread #booksandbeans #coffeeandbooks #suspensethriller #suspensebooks https://www.instagram.com/p/BzodVxHHoV6/?igshid=14d8rox49jm5n
