Ruined Lyra and Shon and Ian 😭 she's been tracing Sirens Lament for a long ass time that's crazy bro and even still for the dog shit sad excuse of her sad egostical twisted wonderland stolen n traced comics, the beginning of her dog shit stolen comic of Chapter 7 for the bottom on the right. Was thinking about siren’s lament, an old popular webtoon from back in the day. And i think the realize it fell off for me, even though I couldn’t articulate why necessarily was because its such a boring comic. Like Lyra was quintessentially the “brown haired wall flower”, nice enough for you to not dislike her, palatable enough to be someone you can project onto. I stopped when Shon turned into a mermaid. Lord i could not get into that romance. Straight romance is very hard for me to get into cause its so overdone and (honestly) never done right for me to like it but back then, i was into romance from hets but even I hated that relationship cause Shon and Lyra are such boring characters with a boring relationship. I’m not asking for him to be abusive but istg hets cant write a relationship. This is more the fault of two very safe characters getting together. Ian was the best written character and the most fun to read about, point blank. Everyone else (the side characters) felt like they were playing a mechanical role, I can’t even tell you abt them fr. The plight and grief of these characters could never ever reach my heart cause the creator isnt the type to take those risks and make it interesting. Its a safe but spiritless comic too afraid to be disliked that it makes it kinda stale, its not offensively bad and if ur into a mindless read, go on and read it. But its nothing great or even good. Its just mediocre.
