My entry for the Sparkbird light that comes through contest!

While I was listening that first few times, the beginning and end really reminded me of the intensity of some of The Mechanisms' songs- and listening a little more, the lyrics of those parts gave me really big Death To The Mechanisms vibes, so this is what I came up with while listening through all those times!

oh my god I am going to a Sparkbird concert and. and why isn’t there step by step guides for this sort of thing. plz help. I need someone to hold my hand and walk my through this??? Please?? OHHH BOY this piece has been like a year in the making? i started it TECHNICALLY may of 2024 with a very rough sketch that I wasnt gonna do anything with and then like 3 months ago I was out of art ideas so I thought I might as well render it. and well. it took me forever and I kept changing things and coming back to it but I'm finally at a stage with it where I am ready to share it lmao.

hello tumblr user sparkbirdmusic! i am rather late to the party i fear (due to other hyperfixations taking over my brain) however i have finally listened to the light that comes through and wowowowow i love it a lot!!!!! scratches my brain very nice and it's yummy. as someone who plays the flute i was very excited by the flute lines and was wondering if perhaps you had the sheet music for it? would love to try playing it sometime if you do :]

My flower husbands Wip that was gonna be for @sparkbirdmusic for the light that comes through contest but I gave up when it came to doing the border and the flowers they were gonna hold, quite proud of this cuz it’s the first time I have done no lineart and an animation so uh yea :P

Edit: I didn’t realise smth went wrong in exporting I promise it’s not this chunky in the actual file 😭
