You weren’t new — not exactly — but still new enough that most players only remembered your name when they needed a quote cleaned up or a crisis buried.

Except Dawson Mercer.

He remembered everything.

You’d dated briefly — enough to cause buzz, enough for people to notice. But it ended with a passive-aggressive shrug and a few ignored texts. You moved on. The team moved on. But Mercer? He still lingered. Especially when you wore heels.

So when the Play It Forward Gala rolled around, and your boss reminded you everyone needed a date for optics, you panicked.

Luke Hughes — tall, sweet, and just shy enough to be safe — overheard.

“Go with me,” he said, shrugging. “I need a fake date anyway.”

You blinked. “Seriously?”

“Yeah.”

A pause. A smirk.

“You clean up nice.”

He wasn’t wrong. You did clean up.

The dress was a deep cherry tone, silky, backless. Your hair curled just right. Your lips matched your heels. You looked expensive.

Luke looked… stunned.

“You’re gonna make people think I’m actually dating you,” he murmured as he helped you out of the car.

You smiled. “That’s kind of the point, isn’t it?”

You posed for photos. Drank champagne. Watched Jack make a speech that was surprisingly heartfelt. Luke stayed close — one hand low on your back, his body angled toward yours. It felt real. Almost too real.

Until you turned and saw Dawson watching.

He approached like nothing had ever happened — like he hadn’t ghosted you and then made a comment about your “public image” in the group chat three weeks later.

“You look incredible,” he said smoothly.

You smiled tightly. “Thanks.”

Luke stepped aside to grab drinks — mistake.

Mercer leaned in. “Didn’t expect to see you here. Or with him.”

You arched a brow. “He invited me.”

“Oh, I bet he did.”

Then — his hand brushed your arm. Light. Just a touch. But enough.

Luke returned just in time to see it.

You didn’t even register the way Luke’s jaw clenched — not until he handed you your drink and said, “Let’s go.”

You blinked. “What?”

“I said let’s go.”

You barely had time to process before he took your hand, guiding you out of the ballroom, past the press wall, through the valet circle — straight to the black SUV that brought you there.

He opened the door. You slid in.

The second it closed, his mouth was on yours.

“You let him touch you,” Luke growled between kisses. “You let him look at you like that.”

“I didn’t let—”

“He wanted what’s mine.”

You gasped as he pulled you onto his lap, your dress sliding up your thighs. His hands gripped your waist, steadying you over his lap, the firm line of him already pressing between your legs.

“We’re fake dating, remember?” you said breathlessly.

Luke’s eyes were wild. Dark. Desperate.

“I’m not faking this.”

He pushed your dress higher, bunching it around your hips. His fingers found your underwear, dragging it aside.

“So fucking wet,” he muttered. “Was that for him?”

“No,” you hissed. “You. Always you.”

That broke something.

He yanked his pants open, pulled himself free, and guided you down onto him in one thrust.

You cried out, bracing against his shoulders as he filled you — thick, deep, hot.

Luke buried his face in your neck. “No one else gets to touch you. No one.”

He moved hard and fast, hips thrusting up from the seat, making the car rock. Your nails dug into his suit jacket. The windows fogged. The world outside disappeared.

“You liked being paraded around, didn’t you?” he growled. “Like you weren’t already mine.”

You moaned. “I am—yours—Luke, please—”

“That’s right,” he groaned. “Say it again.”

💊 Aspirin and Gallifreyans: The Bitter Pill

Aspirin is a very common drug to Earthlings—you've probably taken it for a headache, a fever, or maybe to thin your blood.

It works by blocking the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, which is responsible for producing prostaglandins—compounds involved in inflammation, fever, and platelet aggregation (aka blood clotting). It reduces pain, lowers fever, and stops platelets from clumping, which helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.

In humans, this is a good thing. In Gallifreyans, for some reason, it is an absolute biochemical catastrophe.

😵 Within Minutes:

Aspirin doesn't just inhibit clotting in Gallifreyans—it triggers full-spectrum physiological meltdown. The immune and endocrine systems go into overdrive, setting off a storm that mimics—and then escalates beyond—severe anaphylaxis.

Symptoms may include:

Chest tightness and shortness of breath

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea

Facial swelling (eyes, lips, tongue)

Slurred speech and confusion

Rapid hearts rate, plummeting blood pressure

Throat closure and suffocation

A vivid sense of impending doom

And then it gets worse. Once the antiplatelet effect kicks in, the Gallifreyan body appears to misread the signal. Instead of thinning the blood, it decides it's bleeding to death, and starts frantically triggering artron-enhanced platelet aggregation.

The result is massive internal clots with nowhere to go.

Lungs → pulmonary embolism

Brain → cerebral stroke

Hearts → cardiac arrest

It's dramatic and agonising, and without immediate intervention, it's almost certainly fatal.

⚠️ Can They Regenerate?

Yes, but not if you're too far gone.

If the damage happens too quickly—or if the embolisms strike key areas like the lindal gland (which governs release of the regeneration-triggering lindos hormone)—then regeneration won't even get the chance to start.

If intervention comes quickly, regeneration may occur or be unnecessary. If not, the body collapses, and the chance is lost.

What are your thoughts on Amphinomus? Because some I’ve discussed with said that he did deserve to die for not leaving as soon as Telemachus called for the quorum in the earlier books. But wouldn’t Odysseus, being the Man of the House, saying that he be spared, supersede that? Because if the MoTH himself believes by observation that Amphi didn’t break Xenia, then why should Athena mark him for death?

At this point I am not sure even HOW people read the sources but anyways I suspect what they mean by that is that his death was somehow connected to the fact that he chose to stay so he basically sealed his fate. Under that circumstance yeah that is correct. Amphinomous was warned by Odysseus himself even that even at that moment he could run away and be spared and Amphinomous still chose to stay. Either way here are some details that I kinda seem to find hidden within the text and some of them I have discussed with @jacobpking for this AMAZING Odyssey drawing project you can also see here:

A short Amphinomous Analysis:

So let's see; for once Amphinomous is son of prince Nisus, son of Aretias who was leading the suitors from Dulichium as Homer says. So his homeland was Dulichium, one of the smaller areas of the Cephallenian kingdom. Dullichium seems to be rich in wheat so it means it is a fertile and rich land with economic and potentially political importance for the kingdom, hence Amphinomous being there in the first place. His importance seems to be given to us also by the fact we know the name of his father AND his grandfather

Personality:

So as I said to them, I think Amphinomous more of the diplomat of the team. He doesn't seem radically try to stop the suitors wrongdoings because he still wants or better needs their support. He knows they are rivals essentially so for his own personal reasons or perhaps because he doesn't wish to be confrontational in the first place, he doesn't openly oppose them but he also seems to wish to have the trust of Odysseus's family so he seems to speak against the heavier injustices such as the planning of the murder however he still wishes to have the good side of both ends of the spectrum. He doesn't oppose the killing but he says that it needs to agree to the laws of gods. Taking from the above, he also seems to be worried about the laws of the gods even if his abuse of Xenia might prove otherwise (ironically he has a similar stance with Odysseus on that matter how they both are connected with piousness to the gods) Odysseus seems to find some similarity between Amphinomous and himself since he tells him that "he seems a man of soft speech". Odysseus is known for having soft speech himself. Or rather that he uses his speech over anything else to achieve what he needs. This similarity or rather this nature of his to have a soft speech seems also to be the reason why Homer informs us that he pleased Penelope the most so he seems at least to be gentle or a good kid material enough to make Penelope at least appreciate him more than the others. And maybe this similarity with her husband's diplomatic abilities plays its part here because she sees the potential in him although of course one can say his potential is wasted there.

However Amphinomous as I said above he seems to be not cut for high anxiety such as life and death situations. Once the killing starts, unlike other suitors that managed to find a cover or even find weapons to deal damage, Amphinomous is one of the first to die when he goes on a blind panic and runs towards Odysseus with his sword to get him out of the way towards the door (both seem rather stupid and pointless moves given how one, he had probably zero chances against a war veteran much less someone with Odysseus's war skills at all yet alone in a blind panic and two the doors were locked anyways). By some weird twist of fate he is also the first victim Telemachus claims by stabbing him at the back with a spear he throws (a spear that remains within his body).

To me he seems like a good kid that has been with bad company. If I am allowed this parallel; he is the kid that tries to befriend everyone but lacks that strength of character to fight off bad influences. Even if he deep down knows he is making a mistake. For instance when Odysseus tries to persuade him, Homer says that he bows his head (possibly in shame) and leaves Odysseus behind going back to his place. He does seem eager to stay for many reasons either to honor his family's wishes and compete for Penelope till the end or he really is interested in her. He is also the one to encourage the others "not to abuse the stranger anymore" but he does nothing more drastic than that. He suggests yet never acts out too much.

Name:

This stance of his mentioned above seems to be ironically part of his name (you can see that to my other random list of names here):

His name, as I mention there, comes from from "αμφί" (amphi) which means "both" or "both sides" and "νόμος" or "νέμω" (law or to share) so his name means "between two shares" or "between two rules" or "between two shares". Which is exactly how he moved about in the Odyssey. This name seems also to indicate his doom in some ways given how he dies making a hesitant choice (attacking Odysseus with a sword but his primary reason was not murder itself but run away from the hall, but the lack of harm is not guaranteed. Amphinomous was in blind panic so he wouldn't care if he hurt or killed Odysseus or whoever was on his way, he just wished to run away). He also dies between Odysseus and Telemachus, between two rulers.

Appearance:

Appearance-wise we do not have much on the text however he's called "radiant" (φαίδιμος) so maybe he is a beautiful young man and the way the word φαίδιμος is used kinda remind me of words that describe fair skin or hair so maybe he has blondish or light brown hair? Quite possible. Also having said that his land is rich in wheat makes me feel he has a very pretty face, well fed and well kept young man as well. Undoubtedly we speak on someone pretty and young

Did he violate the laws of Xenia?

Yes, I am afraid he did. No matter how much we sugar-cot it, Amphinomous spent four years along with the others in the Palace of Odysseus, he ate and drank with the rest, without bringing anything in return and there isn't much to suggest that he never participated in the bullying of the household (again either because he thought he had to if he wanted to be part of the group or because he lacked the strength of character to resist the mob's logic. Also apart from Leiodes/Leodes, the soothsayer, we do not seem to have a clear point that he never bedded one or two of the slaves of Odysseus either. We can assume, perhaps, due to his personality, that one of his concubines was actually one of the 12 willing slave women? Perhaps although we do not have a clear guarantee but I believe it is pretty safe to assume that yes, Amphinomous if he bedded some of the slaves of the household he would have done so with the willing ones. Again doesn't stop the violation of Xenia but one can assume why Amphinomous seems to be still appreciated or the fact that Odysseus didn't observe more violent behavior from him while watching him.

The desire for Odysseus to save him doesn't seem to deprive from the fact that he never violated Xenia but because he thought that Amphinomous was potentially possible to be saved. He wanted to give him a chance to repent in one way like himself had the chance to repent from his hubris to Poseidon. Athena was a goddess and potentially already knew that Amphinomous was indeed beyond saving at that point but Odysseus being the type of human he is, he still had to try

When you have these long conversations with Lucifer, how are you doing so? Does he appear in front of you? Does he speak in your head?

I've explained this a couple times before, but no, Lucifer is never actually just standing in front of me.

In things like trances, which, man. I have done a really really bad job portraying how much effort goes into achieving ritual trances and channeling-

But ritual trances and dreams can range from being highly embodied (yes he has a body and a form and I can interact with it), to extremely abstract (just images, sensations, ideas and symbols that don't yet make sense, small clips)

His long speeches aren't always "audible". My job as the human being and the practitioner is to translate abstract forms of communication into written text, or some kind of medium that can be decoded and understood. Hearing without hearing, seeing without seeing, is a skill that can be practiced. I have not always had this skill in the way that I do now. My relationship with Lucifer has made my practicing of it nearly a daily thing. It's just a muscle to be trained. And when you're constantly doing it, it gets easier.

I still do employ deviational tools like tarot when I want to be absolutely sure I'm on point. I still do confirmation readings when I'm unsure if my own bias is interfering with an interpretation.

I hate to do the "I'm actually really smart" thing lmao. But if you'll allow me, I have been practicing astral communication and channeling for years, I do actually like study esotericism and mediumship and channeling, and I can tell the difference between mundane thoughts and communication. I have experienced - and have experience with others who have both audible and visual hallucinations. I'm not oblivious to the warning signs nor am I dismissive of them. I'm not really entirely sure how to explain that what Lucifer does is fundamentally different.

Hello. As a show of my ability, I have created a private system server template for you to use. While "private" is in the name, I have included two access roles (Friend and Trusted Friend)—however I have not done any permissions for them. There is a Bot role that has permissions for them, like access to the System Setup category.

And, like the last template, only traumagenic systems can interact with this blog and use my templates. Endogenic systems and their supporters get blocked.

Note that not every single channel is in this gif, just the ones I deemed the most important to show.

💬 mailbox - Essentially, I create a channel with a headmate's name and there are two tags: Read and Unread. Read means they've read the messages people leave for them, and Unread means they have yet to read them. It's a simple way to communicate with headmates who are not fronting.

The general #(Character) answers tags will be there.

While characters have heights, because they are based on MD characters, those heights are not confirmed. In the event that another blog does not HC the drones as the same heights I do, these are the characters' heights.

Spectre's human and drone forms are around the same height as V.

Ai is the same height as Uzi in the show, being smaller than the average worker drone.

Cassidy is almost N's height. (Yes, she is taller than Spectre.)
