Batman has long since accepted that the world he has come to live in is a strange one, to say the least.

He stands alongside men from the stars and women from myths long before his time.  His compatriots in the never ending battle are emerald sentinels and scarlet speedsters.  One of the foes he faces alongside these heroes is a god of evil.

A foe far stranger than a homicidal clown or the mob.  

And this isn’t even getting into when people cross over from their own world into this one.  Things of this nature have happened so regularly that Batman seldom finds it in himself to be surprised anymore.  Case in point: this woman in white, crawling up walls and shooting webs.

“Yeah. I don’t understand why they think sarcasm is cool. Though, I’ve used some from time to time. Keep things interesting.” She idly swung her foot from her perch on the fire escape, peering down at the other spider. She didn’t know how she had ended up in this universe, but she liked it so far.

   WOULD SHE EVER FIND OUT THE LOGISTICS OF THIS MULTIVERSE SCHTICK? Likely not. Would she spend those few minutes, every-time she is faced with a face && smile so like her own, trying to figure out why there were multiple Ghost-Spiders roaming the universe? Sure. ( that is, after making sure that neither of them were clones ... ) It does not stop her being thankful, nor her eyes from brightening, the gentle curl of her lips bordering on the line of a smirk. 

   “One day there’ll be more Spider-Gwens than Spider-Parkers.” There is laughter, somewhere, in the lilt of her voice. Pleased by this simple turn of events. “A girl can dream... Gwendolyne, right?”

Too many, and it was going to interfere with his plans. Nobody interfered with his plans. “Listen, kid! “Well maybe if he didn’t act like an egotistical showboat. He first appeared as professional wrestler and he thinks the world is his personal comedy club. I don’t think he’s self conscious in the slightest.”

She hardly cared about any of the guard’s life in the RAFT. If some died, it was their problem, not hers. They were just damage control if Gwenom were to get in there to kill Kingpin.

Watching the spider, she had to hold herself from examining them any further, even though her curiosity was through the roof right now.

« I wouldn’t miss this for anything in the world. I’ll go with you. Besides, I could get the whole building in a blackout to make is easier for you. »

Olivia moved away from them to go get the plans, somewhere, in one of the many files in her lab. It was messy but ordered messy. It didn’t take her long to get them and handed a copy of them to Gwenom, a bit hesitant still.

« You might want to define good. I’m a supervillain after all, I rarely do good. »

I would have lied to Kingpin about finishing the job so he could escape and heal up..” She sighed but noticed the change in Gwenom’s attitude. “I was his mentor and friend both before and after each other knew who we really were. We fought but remained sort of friends outside of the whole hero and villain deal.”

It really stung to remember this but at least it’s what got her to live another day apparently. And even if she would have watched the janky old hobo disintegrate out of curiosity, it was only because she didn’t know him. She had no connection whatsoever with him and it was easy to detach herself from thinking he could be like her Peter.

“Kingpin? He is locked away in the RAFT. I doubt you’d get there without having to kill innocent people.. he’s in one of the most secured cell I’ve heard. Even more secured than Tombstone’s.” She really had no care in the world for Kingpin’s life. Especially after killing two persons she really cared about. “I have plans of the prison…. if you want.”

   It’s weird, thinking that a Spider could be friends with their sworn enemies - Gwen had certainly never tried to befriend any of hers. And then she’d killed them all. So, y’know.

“So long as everyone is cooperative, nobody will die. We will only hurt those that need to be hurt.” She’d been into the RAFT before - her RAFT, but… same difference. The guards were easy enough to deal with non-lethally, and she’d had plenty of practice regarding getting into secure places unseen.

Her body seems to shift slightly, the spider making sure she could still use her camouflage before they head out - sticking to the shadows was one thing, but… they had decent lighting in the RAFT. They aren’t all idiots.

“We’ll take the plans. You can tag along, so long as you’re good. We don’t need distractions.“ Use the plans to find the easiest route to Kingpin, rough him up a bunch, make sure he knows exactly why this is happening, and then kill him to death! A perfect, flawless plan that definitely couldn’t possibly go wrong.

unfortunately, tony never grew up with fairy tales! i wouldn’t say he’s well versed in them, but if he had to choose, he’d choose robin hood!

009. Do they believe in happy endings?

not especially, but he does think people can be happy. he lives by the belief that you gotta work for it, but it’s possible. 

010. Do they believe in love at first sight?

not at all! 

011. How would your character court the person of their dreams?

he’s a pretty traditional romantic in a sense that he’d try fancy restaurants, maybe flowers, etc. but he shows his own affections in his own little... tony way. like, random gifts, though he’s so bad at gift giving. or trying to make food (but he can’t cook) 

012. What makes your character embarrassed?

tony hardly has any sense of shame at this point lmao but bringing up his past actions? like, his party on his birthday in im2. stuff like that he’d rather forget

     “Isn’t that how everyone learns HALF the things they know anyways? I dunno about you, but I found some sick fighting tutorials on wikihow when I just started out.” NO HE DIDN’T-- Peter may have taught himself how to get started with the whole crime-fighting thing during his six months starting out, but wikihow was...the last place he looked, usually. STILL, better than nothing. “Are you saying their AMAZING, perfectly logical pictures with each article aren’t helpful in this situation?”

“Not that I want to defend Alchemax but after Peter...” Oh really? She couldn’t even bring herself to say it? “Well let’s just say they completely dropped the security since it wasn’t going to be useful anymore. No one really knew there were going to be 3 of you getting in there. Especially in my lab.” It just occured to her that May now had her computer and all her files. She’d have to deal with that.. “Why’d you all had to bring it to May.” She mumbled to herself.

“That’s a good plan, let’s just hope the software doesn’t mind ID cards from another dimension. Otherwise, I’ll improvise..” She had no idea how but the most common idea was to just get the door out of the way by any means. She was taller than Gwen and she couldn’t really use the ventilation system card to get in.

Liv smiled and unfurled her three functional tentacles. “A team-up with a Spider huh? Well that’s something I would never have thought I’d say or do! I’ll try my best to keep up. Lead the way, I won’t be far back.”

Her arms were damaged and one was out of order but she was still quick and had no problem following Gwen around and keeping up with her. And actually, it wasn’t that bad. And she wasn’t considered a villain by the people who saw them so that felt kinda nice. “Alright so how do we get in?”

   It’d be nice swinging around with someone - even if… Olivia doesn’t really swing. It’s just nice to have someone else around. Superheroing was a lonely job.

“In through the roof, if it’s anything like your Alchemax. With, y’know… zero security, and an easily accessible ventilation system.” Seriously, Gwen had almost blown her cover laughing when she’d first gotten into Alchemax for the ol’ Spider-Steak-Outs.

“Then again, if their badges are similar… you could probably just walk in. I’ll slip in through the top, and we’ll work our way deeper, see what we can find.”

I just… eat more veggies and kale chips.” To be fair, her own Symbiote was lab grown, so… maybe the brains thing is just what a natural Symbiote is like? She’d have to catch up with Peter and get the deets from him at some point. He knows science.

“And that’s just… dealt with by the chocolate? Can’t imagine dealing such a… weirdly specific craving. Already had the ‘incredible rage’ thing to focus on before I managed to tame it.” The only good thing to come out of the Gwenom deal was the outfit, honestly. That thing looked awesome. Could work as an album cover if the Mary Janes started doing physicals.

The piercings are certainly noticed, but the ‘eating brains’ topic seems a tad more important. Gwen had always wanted piercings, but in her current line of work, having metal bits in her face while people are actively trying to punch said face feels like a bad idea.

“You notice it when you first bond, the hunger that never seems satisfied?” She remembered eating an entire pizza herself in once sitting, and still wanting seconds, it was only after she realized the creature bonded to her was craving more than just junkfood.

She didn’t know the specifics herself, Flash had just told her stories of how the original Venom had attempted to feed on actual people, in fact, one of Venom’s other hosts supposedly did go cannibal. It wasn’t eating people though, it was going for the brains, or some chemical in the brain. Flash just finished up the explanation by tossing Andi a snickers and telling her that it would satisfy the brain craving...

Not like she needed an excuse to eat chocolate.

“It was something my mentor told me, but he’s more of a jock than a scientist.” She crossed her arms, tossing the candy-wrapper into the dumpster. “Maybe yours is different because its from a different dimension?”
