10• A blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter.

There are a few people who come to mind, all who I love very dearly but I want to mention @tracybirds. They are such a patient, supportive and kind person who supported me after I tried to take my own life and defended me when I was being targeted.

They started the @thunder-pride event to raise awareness and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ thundernerds and queer fandom content. They brought a group of us together, people who I'd never even spoken to before and they're now some of my best friends.

Bri you are amazing, don't forget that ever!!

11• If you're a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?

I think I already answered this question previously but I've done more art since then so I'm happy to answer again.

This one of Virgil, I have a bit of a perfectionism problem in that I feel like everything I share with the fandom has to be perfect. I had a colour palette I wanted to do something with and I was not in the mood to make a whole intricate and clean piece so I just did a scratch up for fun and I loved it so I posted. It's kicked off the concept in my head that nothing I make has to be perfect and I'm allowed to draw for fun and share that with others.

And my most recent one, Gordon and my OC Squirt on the sofa. I just got this idea in my head and sketched it up, not intending it to be that good but like I have no idea how I managed to draw Squirt laying upside down like that, also Gordon's face is just perfect to me.

24• How has fandom positively impacted your life?

It reignited my love for art, you guys are always so supportive of my artwork which means so much. Also through support of my fandom friends, I've discovered that I'm allowed to set boundaries and I don't have to try and please everyone. I'm still learning but it's already made a positive impact.

unfortunately everyone is more or less human here cause i cant figure out how to make minecraft species f&h relevant but in my heart they r still all sorta nonhuman. just dont think too much about it

branzy and clowns character backstories r based off olivia and marcoh respectively. this means that yes rek is reila and yes he is the machine god. rip bro he lived a (not particularly) good life.

branzys gameplay is actually more similar to marina because redstoning is technically a more magical thing than just regular engineering. i didnt give him the title of redstoner cause there r people like mr cube on ls who idk if i want to incorporate yet

clown is pretty similar to marcoh though id say in terms of backstory and gameplay

i havent yet decided if i want lifesteal to be the location of the festival of the termina in replacement of prehevil or if i want the festival to be named lifesteal and its still located in prehevil or located on an smp of the same name but it operates with similar mechanics to both f&h and the ls smp (i.e. this is still a death game where u have to face off against crazy monsters BUT if other players kill you they get extra chances to live. im not factoring in coin tosses here but i guess itd be the equivalent of living even after u fail a coin toss)

squiddo and rat are both merchants! they give exclusive weapons to clown and general equipment to other players. in clowns case i think theyre sorta like the pockethat except instead of kids they ask for his mask or jester hat for the scythe or mace

the mastermind behind the whole operation is (technically) both parrot.... "rher" in this case would be lifesteal admin and parrot would be perkele

that blob in the corner of ash talking to clownzy is actually based off the pig guy who dies if u annoy him too much cause i thought itd be funny since. ash has a notoriously shitty mic. haha get it

im not fully caught up to ls s6 so im gonna hold off on assigning any other character roles or characterization til i get those down lawl

ok ive been thinking abt it for far too long not to make a tearlist. lsers and their attitude to the custom-made weapons & who among them is forging them

disclamer: I don't really know that much about weapons and forging & will appreciate suggestions, but not criticism. after all, these are just headcannons.

– s4 zam receives a blade, court sword, from subz after joining eclipse, s5 zam – from bacon after few months of gucci&pirates union, and its a sable.

– s4 mapicc and ro keep the swords made for them by rekrap and they are like really fancy, cast in appropriate shades and with carved handles

– flame's weapons are made by only_a_squid and smuggled to lifesteal

– hannah brought with her an elegant rapier with a hilt covered with thorny roses

– amy made a godslayer sword in s5. and wemmbu gen prefers to use custom weapons, loving their convenience and fanciness.

– minute usually does not bother, but knightfall and vengeance are custom made and sometimes he gifts swords to his teammates.

– all staboodles are forged by clown. they are pretty similar, translucent glassy but very sharp swords, but differ in colors and smaller shapes.

– 4c, bacon and rekrap forge custom weapons, but they do not use them themselves

– clown has a huge assortment from swords and axes to scythes and maces, both made by him and taken from the bodies of enemies

– s4 subz uses swords and axes forged by him, whose appearance reflects the name

– squiddo's weapon is not a sword, I'm not sure what, but I think its a huge orange rubber hammer

– branzy always carries a sword gifted to him by a clown

– mid recevives a cool custom sword from someone every new season

– i don't think chief actually thinks about it too much, but hoplite is built on custom op weapons so he uses them atleast there

– planet does not like custom weapons like sooo much, their maximum is to carve out something on the already existing normal sword. he can still use the ones that belong to others as a joke, but not for long

– jumper: yes if its her teammate's gift. she wouldnt ask, but she'll smile and laugh and say thanks and use it until the end of the season.

– jepexx: id say no, but he wants to look cool.

– parrot would use custom weapons if he got it from somewhere, but just like any other weapon. bro wins dont care game

– actually i think that poafa also can be making custom weapons as a part of Making Art. but he doesn't care what he uses in battle. perhaps he would like to make something for others, or have beautiful tools just for aesthetics and convenience.

– terrain: is it custom-made? not anymore lol. look, this is an absolutely ordinary sword, you can craft it on any crafting table. how did I do what? i didn't do anything.

– and I have no idea where leo got the apo equip from, but he definitely didn't forge it himself lol

To ban someone using the force field, the person has to manually log on. Squiddo asked if chat noticed that she got 2 more hearts since the last time they streamed. They used the "chaos emerald" to get them, wich is a powerful glitch that isn't supposed to exist, they won't show how it works to anyone, even Ash. They can use the chaos emerald to kill people really fast, and then when they die they are kicked out of the game. Squiddo wants to use the chaos emerald to force people to log out in the force field

Squiddo doesn't have beef with anyone this season, but if you figure out how to end the server, then you have to do it, right?

The entire server( + friends that I'll list of in another ask) have monthly game nights.

Clown isn't really good at board games or Mario smash or games like that but is amazing at puzzles.

Branzy just mashes buttons and everything works out EXCEPT, if they're playing horror games. He's weirdly good at those. Spot the difference ones?The only one who's good at them(cough wats skip the tutorial's new video on his second channel cough cough)

Squiddo only plays like,,,three games and she plays them for the lore(big fan of game theory)

Ash & reddoons usually play fighting games(against each other)

Planet usually plays whatever bacon and jaron play cause he doesn't really mind. Except dobble. They loves that game.

UNO is banned. This is bc before the ban certain ppl would just end up screaming at each other or fighting)(mostly the siblings)(that's gonna be in another ask)

Monopoly is NOT banned but it's on very thin ice bc some ppl take it too seriously and use ✨ emotional manipulation✨(Kaboodle)

Clown and Squiddo sometimes do fencing-style sword fights. It's a mixed bag of wins bc while Clown is the better fighter he is used to a more unruly fighting style unlike squiddo who does a lot of fencing in her free tme

Sorry for the wait, been swamped with other stuff recently. (;^^)

Uhh this took some thought but I really want more people to appreciate Gordon being responsible and reliable/Gordon being a big brother trope.

It's common to see him and Alan being grouped as "the babies" and the others as "the older bros" and within the older bros there's lots of them taking turns in being the shoulder to cry on and taking charge which I don't see a lot with the younger two.

Icarus wasn't a great episode in terms of story but the reason why it's one of my favourites is because we actually get to see Gordon being very emotionally in touch with others and being a big brother to Tom the competition winner. Tom immediately latches to this squid like a limpet and Gordon is surprised but just kinda accepts his role of babysitter, no complaints. He's super patient, he always listens to what Tom has to say, he explains things to him in a way that a kid would understand but also doesn't dumb it down as if Tom is stupid or anything, he supports Tom and reassures and comforts him, he celebrates his victories with him, he lets Tom hold his hand and wraps his arm around him and ruffles his hair. At the end when Tom changes his mind about his favourite thunderbird, Gordon isn't upset or disappointed or anything and while Alan is kinda freaking out at this kid's logic, Gordon's just grabs his new little buddy and takes him off to get a treat as a job well done.

Gordon just accepts this child unconditionally. Tom chose Gordon, he sees Gordon as a safe person and Gordon takes Tom under his wing, no questions asked. Gordon doesn't know this kid like at all and yet he still treated Tom with above and beyond care and compassion, it would have been so easy for Gordon to have pushed Tom onto Penny, she volunteered to take him but when Tom wanted to stay he respected that.

I love this side of Gordon and I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get more of it and I feel like it needs more attention. It's one of the reasons I post a lot about Squirt, because it creates a dynamic that I love that you don't get with any other character.

The two exchange a long look, before saying something.

“G-good morning… Mix. Acht.”

Acht slowly returned on their steps, and leaned on the side of the wall.

“...Hey, squiddo.”

Smollusk silently analyzed her creator’s… friend. His readings evidenced how calm, yet nervous, they always were.

Like most beyonders, Mx. Acht was an utter mystery to the little AI, with all of their emotions an incongruous mess that went beyond the reading capabilities of his tools.

He didn’t know how to approach them. Not back then, not now. All they could do was to quietly observe them. 

Acht, however, did not. 

“So, had a good sleep?” Asked the sanitized, showing a soft smile. 

Lusk nodded. 

“Mh… good. Good to know…”

Their long and sharp index finger extended, curiously touching his right cheek, not too deep, not too high. Acht felt a certain amount of softness from it, and… something else.

Retracted the finger, they added, with their usual calm voice: “Listen, your moms are downstairs, setting up the decor. They are kind of freaking out at the moment, so I'd suggest not getting in the way until they are ready.”

“I… I understand.”

Lusk understood that. He understood far too well. Far too literally.

“Thanks for the suggestion, Mix. Acht… I’ll just… I’ll just be here.”

As he went to close the door, a long, dark blue sole silently stopped it mid-way through. Confused, Lusk removed his hand from the door, while a pair of green-colored fingers re-opened it.

It was again just the two of them in the hallway. The only difference being that Acht had now squatted closer to the ground, matching his height.  

“...something bothering you, little guy? I know you are kind of… aloof, but I recognize a troubled expression when I see it.”

Lusk stood silent, fixated on looking down. Was he going to be punished? For what, having stand-by anomalies? For being full of mistakes? For sleeping away from everyone? Why was this happening?

Because he deserved it he deserved it he deserved it

Why? Why did he have to develop sentience? Why did he have to be a monstrosity to the eyes of nature?? Why, why, why, why, WHY, WHY, WHY, W-

“There is nothing wrong. I am completely fine.” 

“..............”

“.............?”

Acht squared him for a few seconds, and then opened their mouth.

“.....are you perhaps learning how to lie?” 

“W-what?”

Acht smiled: “That's neat. Good job, kiddo.”

They then gave him a small caress on the head. Acht’s hand felt… warm, just like his mother creator, but that last remark had shaken the kid down to their very own motherboard.

so, need an outside opinion on this.

Herobrine, from the originally screenshot, not any adaptations, was an avatar of the spiral/stranger, leaning towards the latter.

Here are my thoughts on how Herobrine should be classified if he were brought up as existing in the Magnus Archives universe… So to preface, I disagree, I don't think that Herobrine should be classified as either a Stranger or Spiral avatar- I think he would be an avatar of the Eye. But there are points to be made for both of these options.

The Spiral is the fear of your mind lying to you, an aspect which is very much present in the original Herobrine creepypasta- OP explains that they would "constantly think [they] saw the other player" but could not manage to see him proper, bar their first encounter. The key takeaway here being that they thought that they saw somebody else in the fog, but could never confirm it, which I imagine would create a sense of paranoia that their mind was playing tricks on them- perfect for the Spiral. Similarly, when OP apparently posted about their findings online, their messages were quickly deleted- the suppression of knowledge about the figure that they had encountered would create more unknowns for OP and further the paranoia, which is why Herobrine could be considered an avatar of the Spiral. The OP also seems confused about structures that appeared in their world, since clearly they could not generate naturally- if Herobrine was an avatar of the Spiral, it would make sense for him to build random structures throughout the world just for the purpose of confusing the player and getting into their head.

As for the Stranger, I think that there's less evidence that Herobrine should be categorised this way. The Stranger is the fear of the unknown and the uncanny. Even though now in 2024 pretty much everyone who has heard of Minecraft has also heard of Herobrine, in 2010 Minecraft was much more niche and not every nook and cranny of the game had been explored, and so back then, the concept that somehow a ghostlike figure had made it's way into the game wasn't impossible. His existence could genuinely be believed, though not fully understood, giving credence to him being an avatar for the Stranger. Backing this up is his appearance of being exactly the same to the player character, but slightly uncanny, having glowing white eyes- with a modified, unusual appearance being a telltale sign of the Stranger. But his behaviour doesn't really align with how you'd expect a Stranger avatar to act, since all he does is watch the player and (supposedly) stop telling them to find more information. Which is why I think he would be an avatar of the Eye.

Throughout the original creepypasta, Herobrine doesn't take any direct action to confront or communicate with the player; every time he's mentioned in-game, he's described as simply watching from afar. Although this creates a sense of paranoia for the OP, they are specifically paranoid of being watched by somebody, mentioning that they constantly tried to catch whoever was watching them- although to no avail. Herobrine's behaviour here also reminds me a lot of the way that Jon is described by his victims when he appears in their dreams, just watching silently, never interacting. What's more, the situation drives OP to post on the forums asking about this, but their post gets deleted. One of the key aspects in regards to the Eye's identity is the desire for knowledge, even if it comes at a cost; here, Herobrine's presence leads OP to repeatedly seek out answers, despite the fact that it caused their posts to be deleted and for them to get into trouble with a moderator. My last persuasion point is that Herobrine's one key iconic identifying feature is that he literally has Evil Scary Eyes.

DAY 17: FLIGHT – Defeated in battle, the Empire is hiding underground. Zam comes to help.

I've been so lucky to have so many good people around me in this fandom - special shout out to the crafting crew and to the thunderpride peeps <3

Specifically made it brighter though, I think I'd like to say cheers to @idontknowreallywhy bc your boundless enthusiasm and enjoyment of fandom in all its parts, not to mention your encouragement and willingness to explore new concepts and take risks with the headcanons and things you engage in is such a delight to witness <3 I love it so much and every time we interact my day gets brighter :D

Question 16: A tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

The door knockers at the Creighton-Ward manor are tiny Sherbets!!

I only noticed this when it was pointed out at the Wētā Workshop tour, but it's charmed me ever since. I like to imagine Gordon gave them to her well before the start of the series as a birthday or Christmas present :D

Be selfish and be gracious.

Be selfish. Take your time, anyone being pushy or demanding doesn't give a toss about you. Be selfish. In order to have fun you must curate a space where you feel safe and supported and free to engage your curiosity, your energy and your creativity. Be selfish. Make the things you want to see and enjoy doing. Be selfish. Take as many breaks as you need. Be selfish. Don't feed the trolls, delete and keep the joy all to yourself.

Be gracious. Assume people are engaging in good faith when they interact with you. Be gracious. Remember that without tone cues or body language it's very easy to misinterpret text language. Be gracious. When engaging with strangers and acquaintances, it's far more likely that they are ignorant of your needs and desires than they are being malicious. Be gracious. It's a hard balance to strike, but it's one I think is important to protecting yourself, particularly in online spaces. You have to simultaneously guard your heart and your mind so you can create a safe space for yourself, while also remaining open to new ideas, kind and even-tempered to create a welcoming space to interact with others.

Lifesteal Season 6 Week 2 Recap

This is a little late this week, sorry about that. Once again, major spoilers under the read-more, and please let us know if anything is wrong.

PrinceZam

After accidentally killing Planet, he made an Oath to never harm another player. He seems not to be aware of his threats to Spepticle. We are told the monster in his closet is still an ongoing threat. He's spent most of this week working on various different building projects, with other Lifesteal members paying him hearts for builds. He has finished a volcano build for Flamefrags, and is working on a castle at Spawn for Mapicc.

Kaboodle

Kaboodle.... Kaboodle has a very dangerous scheme ongoing currently. She has told both the Empire, and the Blindfold Bandits, that she owns the mace and will give it to whichever team gives her 10 hearts first (this total was originally 15, but she decided that was likely impossible). However, Kaboodle does not actually have the mace, and Squiddo (who Kab knows is the real owner) has told her that her team is planning a "friendship games", at the end of which Team FOCUS will reveal they are the real owners of the mace.

JumperWho

Jumper has mostly been working on her void base this week, although she has gained a new alliance with the Empire as a result of Kab's scheming. As the Empire requires more kills, Minute asked to kill Jumper and return her heart to her, in order to provide her with fake motivation to lure Leo into a trap. This was successful.

The Blindfold Bandits and Team PE

These two teams are now currently allied! With the Empire and the Gladiators (who have possibly renamed themselves to the Mice?) semi-allied, the Blindfold Bandits are heavily outnumbered. Soon after the alliance was made, they attempted to jump Jepexx and Spoke at spawn. Flame successfully killed Jepexx, but then was caught in a void-trap that Leo had built, and Spoke helped in luring them into. Flame has said that every other Lifesteal member is now kill-on-sight, aside from Zam and Pangi.

ECorridor is still unaware of Pentar's murderous behaviour.

The Spawn Build War

We've had multiple additions to the spawn builds counter this week, including a giant tree made by Zam, Pangi building a giant statue of himself, Chief's McDonalds that sells shoes (?) and various others.

The "Days without Spawnkilling" counter still has not reached three days.

Also honorary mention to the fact Rek, Pangi and Leo are attempting some sort of heart-fraud. They built a very overpowered drowned farm to craft hearts, and because Leo is below 7 he could craft hearts and give them to Rek and Pangi (it is against the rules to craft and apply hearts above seven). It is yet to be known if this loophole will cause them problems.

The FFYF or the FVCK you Found Family™ (Ash, Squiddo, Kab, & Clown) Function as a found family even when the STARR producers aren't tracking them. (When we watch streams these are logs that STARR has collected off of the Players codes, I'm injecting this Headcanon into the asks). They don't act like a typical Found Family type thing but they all collectively have game night & 1/4 gets to choose the game every time they do it (1 per month) Ash Typically Chooses Monopoly, Clown; Candy land (Idk it just fits), Kab; Sorry, & Squiddo is Oujia boards or really any occultty type games to entertain the ghosts.
