advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

we've heard of reblogging polls in the hopes of getting our follower base to vote like us and sway it further in our favor. but the real challenge is when you know the majority of people in your circle would actually vote against you. you still want to excitedly reblog it and do a little cheer but unfortunately everyone follows you for blorbo from your game and you love blorbo too but you think squimbus from your niche forgotten thing deserves to win it but. alas

no no no LISTEN. listen to me. i am going to put spoilers under the cut.

literally everyone in the clocktower trio has gender as part of their story's core:

Loam is omnigender, and their insistence upon the part when she actually bothers to is dismissed by most - he is disabled, and therefore in their eyes can never know better

Rashmi is agender, and the fact contributed to them being stuck in an abusive relationship - they feel as though they could never find anyone else who would respect both their gender and their culture

Amelie is a trans woman, and due to her toxic environment (her parents and her workplace), she has been in denial for a very long time, and then when she couldnt deny herself any longer, remained in the closet - and the possibility of accidentally being outed has her hallucinate that somebody (her boss or her dad) is trying to break into her home and kill her

when Amelie expresses worry that someone else getting into the clocktower might not see her as a girl, the other two say something along the lines of "looking at the three of us, you are the only one who a traditional gender can be assigned to at all, so in contrast to us you will be seen as a girl easily"

they are friends your honour and they are SO transgender PLEASE

I LOVE making notes on characters. I dont mean 'oh squimbus is the main antagonist'

NO! I mean 'Oh.. this blorbo acted this way becuase of x y and z'

FOR EXAMPLE! IDW Megatron! (Spoilers ahead if you havent read IDW) Megatron kills someone in a blind rage after seeing a fellow miner BRUTALLY killed- He felt powerless, powerless to stop them, powerless to change his destiny as a miner as the senate didnt care about mechs like him. WHat'd he do to feel powerful? He killed. He wanted to feel like he had control over someone. THIS is why the Decepticons rose to power. Megatron was powerless- and knew others felt the same way. What better way to show that you're not powerless than to exert your power over someone else? JUST RAGHHH!!!! I love analyzing characters.
