expanding on that Lady Maria vibe for Descole from the first Laytonborne post, and that famous boss intro.

Descole would make a hellish boss fight, i know it. i mean have you SEEN how he moved during Eternal Diva and with that big ass sword? now imagine that with Soulsborne-scale strength and possible other additional powers.

plus his theme could be pretty easily adapted into a Bloodborne boss style piece I think, just add more orchestra heavy brass and cellos and some ominous Latin chanting choir and presto. that organ goes so hard too.

Is anyone talking about Megatronus' cog and how maybe Megatron taking that was also a sign of him being not a good leader.

Is anyone complaining about how Orion got the Matrix going to also complain about how Megatron stole Megatronus' cog out of Sentinel's chest even though 1. he supposedly doesn't believe in Primes and false prophets any more and 2. Sentinel stole that cog from Megatronus' body who he murdered, so Megatron is literally just perpetuating that cycle of treating a dead hero's body parts as a collectible one is owed for having the Vision And Initiative To Seize Power. And being a hypocrite because despite supposedly hating Primes, he still covets Megatronus/his iconography so much he stole his cog and used it for his own despite the fact Alpha Trion (the last living Prime) gifted Megatron a perfectly usable one that he got consensually unlike Megatronus'?

Bc like. If we're talking symbolism into account. Idk it felt pretty symbolic to me that one of Sentinel's evil acts was to steal someone else's t-cog and then what does Megatron do? Steal someone's t-cog. Sure, Sentinel stole it first and was a bad guy so he ostensibly doesn't deserve having his corpse treated with dignity, but like... was it not obvious to anyone else that that act was where Megatron definitively went over the line of "revenge on an evil leader" to "stealing dead a dead guy's organs to suck out his physical power and symbolic presence for himself."

Are we going to talk about that or are we just going to keep bitching about how Orion was given the Matrix while he was dead, not expecting to be given a chance at life again, not seeking power for his own gain, with the consent/blessing of the previous Primes which somehow makes him evil and unfair

rewatching night at the museum for the first time in a while and wow. i missed this film.

it was getting harder to focus on practicing for the charity event. even for someone who believed everything happened for a reason and that maybe his timing wasn’t the best, this time hyukjae was pretty confident his debut time was the right one. when the results for the next round of people called to get their debut chance came and he didn’t make it, his automatic reaction was just to give up. he was tired, his body and mind strained to the point he couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

but for some unknown reason, hyukjae stayed. for some reason he decided he should try to prove everyone else wrong and made them believe it was their loss they hadn’t picked him to debut, that type zero was missing out on not choosing him in the end.

for that exact reason, he had been roaming around, trying to find a practice room that wasn’t too crowded or one where he could sing in peace for hours and not get interrupted, but apparently, that was everyone’s idea. the charity concert was and important event and he was placed on a day when a lot of the high-ups would be there watching them, he couldn’t show up there giving them a poor presentation of who he could really be.

many people often forgot the last practice room on the third floor because it was an old storage room turned into a practice room due to higher demand for more space and trainees needing to stay up until late hours to fix their routines. hyukjae didn’t even check if there was someone there, he just opened the door and closed it behind him, only to realize a girl was sitting on the floor, back resting against the mirrored wall in front of him.

“oh, i didn’t see someone was already here. are you about to leave?”

(prev) (next) hi sorry this is a bit later than intended, I agreed to make something irl that’s taking more of my freetime than expected and also my body might be kind of falling apart, so, priorities, you know? enjoy!

A good part of you thinks this is an absolutely terrible idea, sticking your hand out for an unknown, probably fae creature…but the little guy does look genuinely terrified and you would hate for him to drown in your dinner after he’s already spoiled it.

He teeters unsteadily, initially backing away from you as best as he can, broth pooling around his bare feet. You stop with your hand stretched into an open palm where he can easily reach you. 

“It’s alright, I won’t hurt you,” you say softly. 

Relief flashes across his face and he pulls himself onto your palm with shaking hands. He glances back to the bowl, then up towards the rafter and he collapses with a whimper, probably taking stock of just how bad that fall could have been.

“Thank you, I - I apologize, I was…thank you,” he says breathlessly.

He speaks with a familiar accent, one that mirrors the upper class speech that you grew up surrounded by. If it’s not an affectation or some sort of trick, the little man is a long way from home—you’re certainly no local.

He doesn’t look like any sort of noble merchant. He doesn’t look quite like anything you’ve ever seen, not during your travels and certainly not at home. He has a very human face, now that he’s wiped it clean, save for gently pointed ears that are no more exotic than your average elf’s. Arguably you make for a more exotic figure, with your devil’s eyes and slender tail. He’s dressed in a crudely-made tunic and, were it not for his size, would look like any number of beggars you’ve passed in your time. 

At least, one who’s had an exceptionally rough day at the soup kitchen. 

“You say something, Red?”

Your barbarian companion turns back from their critique of a random brunette dwarf. They notice you staring at your messy hand and lean forward on the table, their eyes lighting up when they catch sight of the tiny figure. 

“Hey, what is that? A sprite? Let me get a look,” they say. 

They reach towards him before you can answer. The mysterious little stranger recoils back against your hand as he notices Mikko reaching for him.

he needed a boost of energy, and unfortunately, his was just too far from him right now.

getting lost in his thoughts and not looking forward, it was only when a head bumped into his chest he realized what just happened. “fuck”, he said dropping his phone, his free hand covering his mouth in utter surprise when he noticed he said that out loud. in front of a girl.

Finally got a copy of the book that got me into gt as a kid. It's been really fun to reread it again! The faeries in this are so interesting.

i never realized sahota was indian up till the last few anon asks (hope im not wrong) what gave you the inspo for his ethnicity?

honestly it just sorta happened as his original story was written. I didn't have a clear picture of Ander in my head through the first few chapters, and picked up details along the way that narrowed him down from "undescribed scared college student" to "south/southeast asian" to "Indian"
