6 Steps To Fix Onn TV Sound Issues
You must sort out the main problem to reach the relevant solution. There are many factors that lead to sound issues on your Onn TV. When you find your exact problem, you can implement the following solutions to get your TV back with no sound issues. Restart your TV Firstly, make sure your TV is turned on. Go ahead and grab your remote. Next, do a special key combination that will restart your TV. Tap the home button five times, then press up once, rewind twice, and fast forward twice. Let the TV do its thing and wait for it to reboot twice. Once the TV is back on, test the sound to see if it's working correctly. Unplug the TV This is a simple power cycle for your TV. But, it helps much in resolving temporary issues with your TV  If the sound issue persists, unplug the TV from the wall outlet, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn the TV on and see if the sound is now working properly. Check TV’s Cables Connections There are sometimes loose/broken cable connections that cause issues and We must recommend you point out those loose cables, especially audio cables connected to the sound bar, AV Receiver or Transmitter, and fix them all first. Check that the audio cable is securely connected to both the TV and the device you are connecting. Try using a different cable to see if the problem is with the cable itself. Try connecting the device to a different TV to see if the problem is with the device itself. We have pointed out loose audio cable causing sound issues on Westinghouse TV as well. Reset the audio and picture settings If the sound problem persists, reset the audio and picture settings. - Press the home button on your remote. - Go down to settings, then move over to the right and select system. - Go down to Advanced system settings and select Reset TV audio/picture settings. - Tap the play button three times to reset the audio and picture. Once the TV is back on, check the sound to see if it's working properly. Now, there are some more settings to make sure that you don’t leave any errors behind from your side. - First, Go to Your Setting from the menu. You can access it from your remote control. - Now, Click on the Sound option. - Here, you have the option to pick the sound format option. - Click on ‘None, Never use surround sound’ - Now, Go back to your remote and access Sound - Select Dolby Digital. - If you are using an external device, make sure that you switch the Digital Audio Format To PCM. Disable Volume Mode To change your Volume Mode setting, start the movie or television show you want to watch using your Roku remote. Press the button on the remote, and you will see the option for Volume Mode. Navigate down to it, and use the left and right arrows to select the mode you want. - Select Off - This mode means that the sound is unmodified, and the volume is not adjusted automatically. Factory reset TV If none of the above solutions work, the final step is to perform a factory reset on the TV. Go to settings, select system, and then select factory reset. This will reset the TV to its original settings, so be aware that you will lose all data, including installed apps and personal settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTXuWbEHYl4 Enjoy Reading Too: Fix My LG TV WiFi Turned Off Problem Install 3rd Party Apps on Samsung Smart TV TCL TV Keeps Going Back To Home Screen Onn. 50" Class 4K (2160P)

Samsung HW-Q90R 7.1.4 Soundbar Review: Future-proofed Atmos Might

Samsung HW-Q90R 7.1.4 Soundbar Review: Future-proofed Atmos Might
Samsung HW-Q90R 7.1.4 channel Dolby Atmos soundbar
"The Samsung Q90R offers more bass and new functions for another impressive Atmos excursion."
Smooth and precise immersion in Dolby Atmos
Improved bass reproduction
Impressive music performance
eARC support on the go
Low latency of TV audio on some models
The upcoming eARC support is the only real reason to upgrade
If you think Samsung's Dolby Atmos powerhouse, the Q90R, is suspiciously familiar, you're absolutely thrilled. Aside from some modern updates, the Q90R looks like a copy of its predecessor, the HW-N950, which happens to be one of our favorite Dolby Atmos sound bars.
Is it worth upgrading to the Q90R? It depends on how interested you are in future-proof features – and whether you have (or will soon have) a new high-end television. Although we have a few problems with the Q90R with the Quippier name, there are many goodies that we can crow over. In addition, it will soon completely replace the N950 and feature the latest connectivity technology and the same great immersion in surround sound that made its predecessor a hit.
A lot to unpack
Like its N950 Twin, the Q90R – so named that it fits the QLED televisions of the same name – is a beast for unloading. There are four main parts made of Samsung's famous glittering black plastic, including the candy bar-shaped main unit, two wireless satellite bezels (which need to be plugged in) and a new side-triggered wireless subwoofer. It's a tough gig to pull the package into your TV room on your own – the bar alone weighs almost 20 pounds and is over 48 inches in diameter, although it only fits under most TVs at just 3.25 inches in height.
With a 7.1.4-channel Atmos configuration, the Q90R offers four high-powered drivers (two in the bar and one in each surround speaker), side-firing drivers that bounce the sound off your walls for additional immersion, and the usual left center. and right channels in the bar. The 8-inch woofer rounds off the package for a total of 17 drivers.

You get the same impressive collection of inputs as the N950, including two HDMI inputs with 4K HDR pass-through, including HDR10 and HDR10 +. And although Samsung does not like to talk about it because it is not supported by Samsung TVs, we were able to pass Dolby Vision on an Oppo 203 Blu-ray player.
There's also an HDMI ARC connection and a digital optical connection, as well as a wireless connection for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming (via the Samsung Connect app). Samsung claims that the ARC connection will also be updated with eARC in August, which would give the Q90R a future-proof advantage over its predecessor and many others.
Samsung doesn't like to talk about it, but we were able to pass Dolby Vision on an Oppo 203 Blu-ray player.
The processing of course includes Dolby Atmos and DTS: X as well as other basic decoding of surround bigwigs such as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS 5.1. While Dolby TrueHD is noted in the technical specifications of the HW-N950, this does not apply to the Q90R. We turned to Samsung, whose staff confirmed that Dolby TrueHD is actually supported, so Blu-rays can deliver lossless sound. The bar may be able to take full advantage of eARC's full-resolution sound transmission from compatible TVs if the lossless codec is available for streaming. For what it's worth, we haven't noticed any loss in quality on our favorite Blu-rays, so we're going to take Samsung at his word.
Other notable features include Alexa support (including the N950) for basic voice control in conjunction with an Amazon Alexa speaker, and Samsung's UHQ upscaling, which is designed for high quality music streaming.
What's new?
With so many familiar features, it's worth mentioning the latest additions to the Q90R. While the arrival of eARC in August is the big news, Adaptive Sound is also new, with the aim of optimizing the incoming sound in real time, including the dialog, so that you don't miss a word even at low volume. We didn't do it in any mode, but Adaptive Sound adds pressure and puts dialogue at the center.
configuration
Setting up is pretty easy once you've taken everything out of the package and arranged it. However, you should make sure that you connect everything in the correct order, otherwise the wireless speakers may not be properly synchronized. As stated in the manual, the order is subwoofers, then each of the surrounds (stand not included) and finally the soundbar itself.
Riley Young / Digital Trends
All necessary connection cables are included, including a high-speed HDMI cable to connect to the HDMI ARC connector of your TV. Regardless of whether your TV supports eARC or not, HDMI ARC is the only way to receive Dolby Atmos sound and it allows your TV remote to control the volume (although you may need to turn on CEC in your TV settings) . However, since it is a Samsung product, those without a Samsung TV must take another step: Hold down the woofer button on the remote control for five seconds until "ALL-TV Remote" is displayed.
Our TCL remote worked automatically at volume, but some may not and the bar won't turn off. This seems like a fairly unnecessary extra step that punishes those who haven't bought Samsung TVs, but it's a relatively easy fix. Speaking of Samsung TVs: If you have selected models that were manufactured after 2013, you can also connect the bar via WiFi.
interface
Apart from this strange problem with the TV remote control, the Q90R is fairly easy to control. Most sources are switched automatically, the LED indicator on the right shows exactly what's going on (from Dolby Atmos to EQ control), and the tactile, cradle-style remote makes it easy to adjust volume and subwoofer levels adjust during operation.
One thing that is not automated is speaker calibration. We were hoping Samsung would have added this time.
One thing that is not automated is speaker calibration. We were hoping Samsung would have added this time. That said, adjusting the speaker levels yourself to ensure balance is not a big deal, and all we really had to do was decrease the surround settings and adjust the side channels.
We have to talk about latency
Since decoding video and audio takes processing time, A / V synchronization between TVs and audio devices over a digital output has always caused a certain latency, often with TV sound that comes a little behind the video on audio devices. Lately, however, we've noticed that this has made itself felt on some devices. Dolby even addresses this directly on its website: "… because devices have added new technologies such as speaker virtualization and high dynamic range videos, the processing latency for these technologies has increased the overall latency."
Because both televisions and A / V devices contribute to latency, it is difficult to isolate the problem. However, there was a slight delay when connecting the Q90R to multiple TVs, including a TCL 6 series and the new Sony A9 OLED. This may not be particularly important to most users for several reasons. First, the problem was only noticeable when getting sound from the TV itself, so connecting streaming boxes and consoles directly fixes the problem. Second, many high-end televisions offer A / V synchronization and / or eARC, which should alleviate the problem. Third, the latency is so low that many users may not notice it depending on the setup. Still, we noticed it and even compared it to Sennheiser's Ambeo and Sony HT-S350 to make sure it's worth mentioning.
performance
Aside from the low latency mentioned above, the Q90R, like the N950, is an absolute dynamo when it comes to delivering powerful sound for TV and movies. In fact, this punchy new sub increases the use in the lower register and delivers cleaner and more powerful basses that serve as a wonderful foundation for the 16 other speakers that fill the room with sound.
Having discrete surround speakers in a sound bar is a tonal luxury.
When using our Dolby Atmos demo discs, we were reminded that while virtualization has become extremely impressive, discrete surround speakers in a sound bar are a luxury. The system miraculously conveys moments like the Amaze demo with a better immersion than Sennheiser's impressive Ambeo bar and rock-bass from this nasty subwoofer to bring everything home. While the Ambeo was more accurate with overhead effects like raindrops, the swirling hemisphere of the Q90's four-piece choir is hard to beat.
Queuing Black Panther on Netflix was also a brilliant ride, as the real environment conveyed by the speakers brought home action scenes like the famous Busan chase with engines spinning while Ulysses & # 39; electric weapon in humming explosions swept through the air. In fact, we reached for the remote to simmer the booming sub a little when it literally shook the walls.
Music also sounds pretty good on the Q90R, as the warm midrange and glittering top can be combined with the sub to render detailed percussion, smooth and sweet vocals, and well-cut guitar strings. While the system may not match the definition of dedicated hi-fi setups like our KEF LS50 wireless bookshelves, there are plenty of details available and the long bar's extensive soundstage extends well beyond the front of the room.
Our opinion
While we have found very low latency when sourcing sound from some TVs, the Q90R is otherwise another Slam Dunk from Samsung that offers rich and powerful sound and impressive immersion, from Atmos tracks to Spotify jams .
Is there a better alternative?
Samsung's proprietary HW-N950 soundbar can be a better value because it's an older model. It's still great and has many of the same strengths as the Q90R. However, the HW-N950 is no longer in stock, so you may not find it at reputable retailers. Fortunately, the Q90R is now often sold for $ 1,500, $ 300 less than the MSRP.
We would also be a failure if we didn't mention Vizio's award-winning 5.1.4 system for $ 1,000, which is remarkably close to both Samsung bars at a much cheaper price. In fact, Vizio has a growing family of popular, cheaper Atmos bars for those looking for Atmos at a bargain price.
How long it will take?
With eARC on the way and Samsung's reputation for solid build quality, the Q90R should continue to exist in the future.
Should you buy it
Yes, the Q90R is a breeze for those looking for a powerful dive into Dolby Atmos.

What Amazon Echo Spot Can do in India? How Visual Alexa takes Interactions to Next Level?
Amazon Echo Spot, the most versatile visual AI assistant yet in India, is the most useful Assistant I have ever come across. Imagine this device as an AI which gives the answers visually and aurally both. It can show you things and can surprise you with his abilities which cannot be covered in one single article. If you want to see current weather, news flash, set the alarm, play music, do audio/video calls, watch videos, maintain the calendar, get answers visually and much more, Echo Spot is your companion to help you with all. Before knowing what Echo Spot can do, watching below embedded video can help you understand more about the device first:
What Amazon Echo Spot can do in India?
The Echo Spot can do everything the Alexa Assistant manages on other Echo speakers, but it takes the interaction to next level by including a visual element. This device has a 2.5inch round LCD Screen (480×480 resolution). While the display size isn’t much large, the idea behind is to make the screen available for personal use, not for watching movies and TV shows, although you could do that on it if you want.  You can also connect external speakers to the Echo Spot using the Audio Out port. Here are the major features one must know about Echo Spot if you’re considering to buy one:
What Amazon Echo Spot Can do in India?
Drop-in Calls (Like a CCTV)
The very first thing I wished Echo Spot to do was to do (hands-free) video calls without requiring user interaction to pick the call on Echo Spot. Turns out, it is possible using the Drop-in feature. You can make audio and video calls to your Echo Spot using the Mobile Application from your phone or directly from another Echo Spot without requiring from the other side to pick the call. The calls connect automatically, and you can see what’s happening on the other side. I use this feature a lot to see what’s going on at kids room when I am out at the office.
If there are privacy concerns, then you turn-off this feature, thereby requiring the person on another side to accept the audio/video call. By default, this feature is turned off and has to be activated once. You can also give other family members the access to make drop-in calls on your Echo Spot. The caller can also turn off the display of his/her camera & audio too during a call, making it one-way video communication like a CCTV.
Regarding the camera quality, it’s quite good and doesn’t disappoint, although it requires normal lighting in the room for the camera to work best (no night vision). The audio pickup is fantastic, thanks to beam-forming technology & noise cancellation, Echo Spot can hear the voice of the person sitting even from 3-6 meters away.
Make Audio/Video Calls
You can make audio/video calls from Echo Spot to Echo Spot, Echo Spot to Alexa App in any phone and vice versa. You can command Echo Spot to call the person like “Alexa, Call Neha” and by default it’ll start making a video call to the concerned person. The person on the other end, after picking the call, can choose to turn off their camera if required making it 2-sided audio call and one-sided video call. The audio/video call requires the Internet to work and is not dependent on any telecom network.
Playing Youtube Videos
Although there is no Youtube app in Echo Spot, nor there are any hacks to make youtube work on it. Still, Alexa can play videos from Youtube for you on Echo Spot. It uses the Bing search to search the video you asked for and play the top result. Although it doesn’t always play the correct video, it works fine for most of the popular music videos available on Youtube.
Play Music
Alexa on Echo Spot supports playing music from many popular services like Amazon Prime Music, Saavn and Tune-in. Echo Spot also shows a thumbnail of the song on display with controllers. You can also ask Alexa to play a song of your favourite artist, specific genre or mood or any particular playlists you’ve on Prime Music or Saavn.
Tune-in is for playing LIVE radio stations like you can say “Alexa, Play Mirchi Radio Station” and it’ll start broadcasting it. Amazon Prime customers get free access to Amazon Prime Music which is a huge library, and you can find almost any song in it.
Get Information Visually Instantly
Echo Spot can show you the latest news flash from NDTV, Times Now, ESPN Cricinfo, Aaj Tak and more. Ask her about cricket scores, movie ratings, general knowledge questions, local businesses, to tell you a joke, make a conversation, what’s trending, questions related to Sports, Places, Entertainment, Horoscope, Education, Politics & Business, Traffic, Weather and much more.

To know more about what Alexa Assistant can do in India with supported skills, see this article. I regularly update this article with new commands being included in Alexa for India.
Control Smart Devices
Controlling smart devices & its wide compatibility is what made Alexa so popular worldwide. Alexa has around 70% market share worldwide of AI speakers which speaks for itself for the popularity of same. Same way, using Echo Plus, you can control a wide variety of devices and having a display helps as it shows some controls on display too like I can adjust the light brightness via voice or from the display of Echo Spot, both!
Echo Spot can automatically discover the Alexa compatible smart devices on the connected Wifi network and would show instructions to connect to them. After that, you can enable the respective skill of that smart device to control it via voice commands.
You can also group smart devices in a room like you might want to group light and fan in one group, and then by saying, “Alexa, turn on [group name]” would turn ON both devices for you at the same time.
Consumers can control a wide array of products using Alexa in India including smart lights from brands such as Philips Hue, Syska, TP-Link and more. Smart Plugs have made it simpler for consumers to make any appliance in their home connected to Alexa and voice controlled. Alexa is happy to resolve the eternal conflict of who will get up to switch on the geyser in the morning, all they have to say is ‘Alexa, switch on the geyser’.
Various Indian startups such as Oakter and Smarteefi have also become popular with customers. The ecosystem is rapidly growing in India with other popular smart plug brands such as Thrumm, TP-Link, Vetaar by Anchor and Crabtree by Havells’s addition to the Alexa Smart Home skills store in India.
Alexa compatible devices list is increasing fast in India, and there are quite a good number of popular brands who now sell Alexa compatible smart home devices in India. Here’s a list of brands up to my knowledge who sell Alexa compatible products:
Philips Hue Tp-link Oakter D-Link SYSKA SONY Yeelight iRobot Mi-Light Sonoff Bose Netgear KACOOL Smarteefi Verna Crafts HOIN TCL Grayhats HomeMate NISHICA OVIBO iBall Harman Kardon XORB Wipro Eufy Anchor WIQD Silvan Sirus TESCO Thrumm Crabtree
I’ll keep updating the list with more brands/products as soon as they’re launched.
Monitor CCTV / Smart Camera Feed
If you have a compatible smart home camera, you can use Echo Spot to access the live camera feed on display. The length of streaming time depends on your camera model & settings, and upon reaching the limit, the feed automatically times out. You can command Alexa to “Show [camera name]”, and it’ll start streaming the live feed from the camera.
Create Routines
Unlike creating a group of devices, routines allow you to add multiple actions and run them using one command. For example, just say “Alexa, movie night!” and Alexa can be programmed to switch on the TV, dim the lights and turn on the AC simultaneously. Watch the below-given video to understand more:
youtube
Read Kindle Books
You can anytime command the Alexa on Echo Spot to read you a Kindle book. Alexa can read the books purchased from Kindle store and Borrowed from Kindle Unlimited or Prime Reading.
A Special Place in the Kitchen
Especially because of the display, Echo Spot gets a special space in the Kitchen because of the convenience it offers to the users. Echo Spot can make your ‘time in the kitchen’ more interactive and enjoyable. You can use Echo Spot to turn on your kitchen lights when your hands are full to reach the switch; it can help you turn on other appliances like coffee machine, induction cooktop, toaster, chimney or anything.
Echo Spot can show you recipes from popular chefs like Tarla Dalal and Sanjeev Kapoor, also help you in reading the recipe instructions step-by-step along with your cooking. If you’re a fitness freak, you can also ask Alexa on Echo Spot questions like how many calories does an Omelette have compared to Dosa. Also, you can enjoy your favourite music while you put your culinary skills to use.
With compatible devices, Echo Spot can also control your microwave, set timers, bake and much more. If you run of out any stuff in the kitchen, you can immediately ask Alexa to add that stuff in the shopping list or could directly purchase it if you’re a prime member. Use Echo Spot to remind you for specific tasks like de-frosting the chicken in the evening before you start making the dinner.
With Alexa, you can be the boss who does things the ‘smart way’ in the kitchen too!
