Do not follow this blog if you are sensitive to the sensitive topics related to this particular genre. I tag with "content word cw" for the extra wild stuff, but that's about it. adam literally has the highest swear/slur count in the show and he's only in 3 episodes, so be aware of that.

I tend to be private/selective as i get fairly overwhelmed with too much activity. i really get into plots though, and i'll spam the dash with some silly original dick chauvinism from time to time when ive fed my inner gremlins past midnight. That said, I do get easily overwhelmed when I'm following too many people and multi muse blogs in particular can exacerbate this feeling, so if I do not follow back - I might just not be in a good place to atm or I just don't see possible interactions btw our characters. It's nothing personal!

This is a mutuals only interaction blog for my sanity (anons being fine). If i can see plots happening between us, I'll likely follow. but i get overwhelmed easily so please don't take it personally if i don't follow back or follow back right away.

I am not exclusive, but I prioritize my plotted threads and may have some mains/activity based off that as far as my main verse goes. But I will never be fully exclusive and i enjoy exploring different character dynamics. Also multi-ship is fine, but I am not exclusively here to ship or write suggestive content. My muses have always and will always require plotting and scene chemistry for me to consider writing ship material. In the case I do reblog shippy prompts still feel free to send in ofc! I'll see if I can make it work or not.

If I don't get a follow back within a week or two, if blogs i follow go inactive for up to 12 weeks, or if there's just no attempt on either of our ends to connect for an indefinite amount of time - I'll occasionally go through my list and soft block to clean things up. if we ever want to give it a go in the future, the option is there for us to re-follow and resume!

I don't like the feeling of being 'collected' so...if you are interacting with multiple of of the muses I portray, I ask you have a different dynamic for mine than them. This is just an act of courtesy I also extend to my rp partners. I interact more with folks that have a special relationship with my muse, so it's needed to deep dive into more interesting topics for me. If you're just concerned with collecting another Adam for 'shipping', you don't want me. I rarely ship unless good chemistry/slow burn.

I know that Adam is a bad guy. He's insufferable and can push buttons- but I am not him and I dislike constantly feeling like I'm being barraged for his actions, especially since I consider him to be a heavily layered character that should not be shoe horned into a standard 'ok irredeemable and never allowed nice things' box. So- if you honestly despise this character on a personal level that can't be separated from ic interactions, we won't work out. I am here for exploring taboo topics and ways that a flawed character can make others think he's justified. Let me explore and enjoy what I like on my blog within reason and do talk with me on dms if you don't like how things are going with our muses and you wanna explore other routes. I love to plot and I am very reasonable.

This is my blog and my verses and my interpretation of what's going on. I am happy to accommodate to any pre-determined and agreed upon thread or verse, but I will not let other characters that are considered 'more powerful' lore wise dictate what I can do on my blog. I am happy to adjust depending on others' verses, but I require direct and forward communication before each interaction if that's the case as I feel like I constantly misinterpret intentions. On my blog, Adam (mainly) is the head of the exorcists and always has been and will be until his death. He commands, sleeps with and is generally the head boss of the Exorcists. Do not force any headcanons or per conceived notions onto my character unless it is in your character's nature to assume things about others because that's different and can be played off.

MY OPINION ON;

Character in general: Every time I think about Pico I always remember this one Playable Parappa mod where he gets a Pico Mix and, Idk, especially the final bit of the song? Where he starts going on a bit of tangent about how he's rapping with a literal talking dog and seems to be having a great time? That's it, that's how I have always viewed him. Pico as a character has always been interesting to me because, while there is a bottom line as to how he should be portrayed, everyone has their own twist when including him in animations and games. He really is the embodiment of "Everything By Everyone", a canvas for everyone to add their colors on. Though, if we talk from an FNF perspective, I am definitely a Babysitter!Pico Truther and a MASSIVE sucker for the Jerk with a Heart of Gold trope, which fits him like a glove. Also I was there for when the whole Pico/Lila ship was popular so... yeah. He can be a merc while also being a pretty normal guy that can babysit two rambunctious kids on the side, y'know?

How they play them: I LOVE UNCLE PICO!! But not just that, let me start from the top: I think Ben's Pico is complex. A character with Pico's grisly background opens the door to a lot of psychological and inner exploration, which is one of the things Ben excels at. He has a very solid grasp of Pico's flaws, his psychological profile, all the small things that make him... difficult, if you catch my drift. But not just that, because some of my favorite things Ben has written involve Pico's daily life, when things are "most normal". Of course, this is my bias talking, because those bits usually involve Pico interacting with Pump. Because, well, I think those are the moments where Pico feels the most... organic? Real? Idk what word to use here, but little things like NOT cussing around kids and wanting to be an okay influence around them is always very endearing to me?? I'm sure he has demons to fight every waking moment, but I love those moments of solace he gets, and Ben just does such a GREAT JOB showing them... Love Uncle Pico.

The Mun: BEN, I GAVE YOU MY DISCORD AND NEVER DM'D YOU, I'M SO SORRY!! 😭😭 That aside, though?? I'm happy Ben has been a constant presence in my Dash ever since I made this blog. He was one of my first RP partners, one of the first people I pre-established relationship with, we go FAR BACK, just check the tag!! Ben is also one of the reasons I have kept my blog's FNF Verse around, considering back in the day (and, technically, now still) there weren't many FNF muses. He's a diamond in the dirt, very invested in the muses he writes, and ESPECIALLY the psychology behind each and every one of them. I think he knows what he's talking about, and all of his metas and character explorations are very interesting to me?? Which is why I recommend reading his OOC tag, because it adds an extra layer to Pico's blog.

RP with them: YEYEYEYEYE, even if I'm slow as molasses!! Ben is always insanely active and I WISH I could match a fraction of that reply speed, wow.

Overall Opinion: CHECK BEN'S PICO AND HIS OTHER BLOGS OUT!! Like I simply can NOT recommend of my first mutuals ever, you know?? Always very active on my Dash, always writing and exploring all sorts of concepts with his muses, and Pico in particular?? You don't need to know anything about FNF, Newgrounds or Pico's School to get to know him, really! Also Ben is super sweet, he should be getting more interactions in spite of his more niche muse picks! Also Tumblr should stop shadowbanning him, omg, my man deserves better luck!! would you happen to have intro posts for your tavs/durges or anywhere you've posted their backstories? i'd love to learn about them!

Apart from my rp blogs, i haven’t really spoken about them anywhere! I def want to do up posts talking about them and their backstories and plots more in depth. They've been rattling around in my brain for a while.

But for now, I’ll summarise them a bit here! I have waaaaaaay more than these ones but these three are kind of my “main” ones right now and the ones I make the most edits of.

First up we got my babe, Ryn.

She’s my BG1 / BG2 protagonist who I picked up and dumped into BG3 because she had a 100 year vacation, its time for more suffering.

She’s a Sorcerer (Draconic) but she has some wizard training here and there and Warrior training too. Instead of a staff she uses a glaive.

Basically with her in the setting, the Durge that existed died from Orin’s attack (and looked a lot like ryn due to bg2 related shenanigans)

Bhaal decided to yeet all that Bhaalspawn essence back into Ryn bc he’s an ass who wants to punish her.

I’m VEEERY slowly writing fanfic about her. I’ve got a BG1 retelling in progress and i’ve written scenes for her being in bg3 but nothing substantial enough to post yet.

In her first bg3 run, I romanced Gale with her but on her second, I’m eyeing off Shadowheart. In bg1/2 she romanced a monk named Rasaad but that... uh. didn't end well. I'm planning on doing a bg2 replay with a mod that lets her romance Viconia.

My psd/colouring kinda hides it but she has scars and scales over her body which i made myself and im super proud of them.

Then there's Darci, my actual Durge.

she chose the name darci because someone asked what her name is and she panicked and said "the dar-" (franticly looks around for something, sees the chionthar) "-sea. darci."

she didn't know it was a river at the time. probably for the best. 'dariver' doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

She doesn’t exist in the same universe as Ryn, unless i decide i want them to meet in an au.

She’s your pretty average resist!durge. Rebelling against daddy dearest and killing her enemies!

I've also written some general fic stuff for her but not a lot.

She's actually mildly hilarious, unintentionally. She does nice things for people out of spite.

She’s a Wild Magic Sorcerer and Assassin Rogue

She likes to run around without what could be called a proper shirt.

She romanced Astarion in my first run. Unsure who I'm going to romance with her next.

When fighting Harleep in Hell, she had a wild magic surge and accidentally summoned a hostile cambion. Twice. I just wanted to mention that one because I'm still scarred by it.

And then there's Jeremy! I'm making the most edits of him at the moment because his is the game I'm actively playing.

Jeremy isn’t technically my OC, I just put him down as one on my edit blog cos its easier than fully explaining:

He’s technically a character from the book series ‘women of the otherworld’ by kelley armstrong. A urban fantasy werewolf series. He’s my fave character in the series and I’ve been rping him over on my rp blogs for a while now, and he’s somewhat canon divergent (i gave him a husband. its what he deserves.) When I got into BG3 i made him a bg3 verse and its sorta become my main verse to write him in lol. So he’s an AU of a canon character based on my canon divergence and headcanons. (I’ve also made more characters connected to him in bg3 but haven’t posted any edits of them yet.)

Explanation aside, Jeremy is a Half-elf Lythari (werewolf).

He’s a Ranger who lives in the woods with his (also lythari/werewolf) family.

He’s a bit of a homebody, doesn’t really like going into civilisation, or meeting new people.

So being abducted by mindflayers and forced to interact with a bunch of strangers really is the worst thing.

Except its fine (kinda) because Jer is The Ultimate Dad… so once everyone stops flirting with him, he just adopts them.

Astarion didn't like him to start with because he thought that Jeremy might have been one of the werewolves Cazador controls, but they work through that eventually.

Sometime during Act 1 he sends a letter to his family, delivered via Birds, to let them know he's alive and he's going to make his way to Baldur's Gate.

By the time he reunites with his husband in act 3 he’s like “meet our new adult kids i’ve adopted.”

But yeah he’s a werewolf but the tadpole is interfering with that to stop the full transformation

i've written some fic snippets about him too but haven't posted them anywhere because i genuinely don't know how to explain 'its not really a crossover but kind of!' 😂

honorable mention:

reese, she's actually my oc from an original novel i'm writing. in my novel, she can go to different universes. her bg3 verse is basically that. she got abducted by mindflayers while in another world, got stuck with a tadpole and is like "well shit." in faerun she is a bard. i got up to act 2 with her but then my mods killed my game in ... patch 7, i think? and i simply restarted her lol so i haven't gone very far in her run this time

Hello! This is an unreality DC RP blog based around kid eternity, the dc/vertigo character. The timeline for this blog isn't... totally canon compliant. Its a weird mix between the 1991-95 continuity, some mixed in bits from his original 40s comics and the 50's rewrites (He IS canonically Freddy Freeman's brother, and this is canon to this blog.)) If you haven't read the kid eternity comics (which you probably haven't lmao), kid's powers involve bringing back figures from the past into the current world. Technically, these figures are demons taking the form of these, and kid is aware of this, but they serve the exact same purpose as bringing the actual figures back. He is also vaguely immortal, reincarnating into hell since he's been given a second chance (and a third. and fourth.)

Some character info for this RP: Name: Chris "Kid" Freeman Age: 15/100 Orientation: Most likely Aroace, possibly Bi. The worlds most insufferable pessimist. Since his illusion of his powers was shattered, he's come back around into hedonistic laziness; He's seen the other side, and it's not good. Nothing matters, so why give a damn?

General info: Born and raised in the Narrows, Gotham, which is description enough. She can’t die of injury, as they will heal over very quickly and become scar tissue. She has chronic pain from this, doesn’t make it a big deal.

Description: Brown hair, brown eyes. Unspecified ethnicity.

Flirting: Yes, but don’t expect anything.

(Oh and they all have wings and are fairly inhuman if they aren’t disguised, which they usually are.)

ooc: so with rick continuously dunking on the movies i want to say my little piece about them.

the movies are the reason i read the books. Sure i had friends telling me to read them, but these same friends also told me twilight was everything and i needed to read those too.

i saw the movies and the greek history lover in me (who stole our fifth grade greek history text book) wanted to know more. The movies were what hooked me in. Specifically the first movie.

Were they bad adaptations? Yes. But for me specifically Jake's portrayal of Luke became so ingrained that I literally could hear his voice when reading Luke's dialogue in the book. Jake more or less became synonymous with Luke for me, and still is. And I love Charlie he is doing a great job, but he does lack some of the natural charisma jake has.

The movies have some banging lines, that while not technically true still hold alot of meaning. Luke's whole son of hermes camp leader thing while not even verifiably true is true because luke was the cabin counselor for the largest cabin at camp and the one that taught most of the kids at camp how to even hold a sword. So while not true it holds weight to it in a different way.

i hate that rick dunks on the movies so much because they are a formative part of my childhood and introduction into percy jackson as a whole. i acknowledge they are bad, but when i first went into them i thought it was great, and it got me hooked it got me to read the books. I could then watch sea of monsters with a critical eye. i could appreciate what they actors were doing more, like how jake fought to keep the scar luke got cause even if it was obtained wrong he knew it was important for his character to have.

the movies are bad, yes, but without them i would not have read the books, and i would not have started writing luke in 2011 in my very first tumblr rp (yes i have been writing this bozo for 13 years and i have been in the trenches since i've always been like this about him and the fandom's ignoring of the abuse and neglect and such that luke received).

So yes the movies are bad. But Rick's treatment of them, and the actors who still to this day love them is awful. And you know how I know cause they still interact, they show support. Hell when Jake was promoting the Host he did a book signing I brought a Percy Jackson book he loudly said "Screw the Host" with Stephanie Meyer RIGHT THERE, then gushed about how he loved Percy Jackson and how much it meant to him.

There is a reason the fandom wanted the cast from the movies to make cameos. Their is still an appreciation for the movies, plus the cast is filled with amazing actors.

Adaptations can be bad, but just remember someone might have read a book because of them.

i hope you guys make like. a wiki article or something similar where you document everything that went down during this RP arc because this story is worth remembering. ideally, i would also love to see the events described in the interactions adapted into a fic or comic, something a bit more "conventional" for reading (example that comes to mind is The Thought Undertale Movie on Youtube. again, this is a perfect ideal to achieve, it's not realistic to immediately expect it from y'all) 1/

i'm sure that between the main members participating in this RP y'all can work together into gathering all the information into a document or similar! i just wish for all this absolutely stellar storytelling masterpiece to be accessible in the future. because i firmly believe this is going down in UTDR History, like the #1 Tumblr Sexyman contest OR even MORE!!

you guys are putting such a great job on this entire thing. y'all are amazing storytelling machines!!! and your work deserves to be out there. i don't know how else to put it into words but- you and your friends are singlehandedly reigniting everyone's passion and love for creative and well done AUs from the early years of the fandom. hell, i am as invested on this as i was on Handplates or other masterpieces back in 2016-2018!!!

woah there, calm down buddy, hahahaha. that's a lot! i mean first of all thank you so much, we're all absolutely blown away by the amount of love and attention our rp got, so it's great to know you guys want to preserve it too. although i really, REALLY don't think this silly thing is in any way comparable to handplates or any other BNF stuff lmao. our impact was surprising, but it's still significantly smaller than what you might think.

as for conservation and making it more accessible to read... we actually have a project on that! we haven't been able to work on it much, since we're all extremely busy with either school or life in general, and we technically have next to 0 knowledge on the subject, but we were hoping to make a website. winter alarm clock dialogue style, with separate pages for different characters and the undertale/deltarune specific arcs. and easter eggs, of course.... wink wink.

i think we'll have a chance to work on it during winter break. we'll keep you updated.

c!Dream and the rules

(/dsmp /rp, all names refer to characters, not content creators)

I think one of the most striking parts of Exile is something that I rarely see talked about, and it’s Dream’s rules. Or rather, how his rules were made to be used as justification to hurt Tommy.

The thing about exile is that, outside of the initial rule of “Don’t go back to L’Manburg”, Dream never told Tommy the rules, yet constantly operated under the assumption that Tommy already knew them, and had accepted them. The rules also changed constantly, without Tommy ever being notified until he was already in trouble.

The second time Dream told Tommy to put his armor in the hole, he didn’t tell Tommy to do that right away. Instead, the conversation went like this (slightly edited to remove stammering and unrelated dialogue).

Dream: Do you have, uh… something you wanna put on the floor here? Tommy: Yes. (drops two pieces of red concrete as Dream digs a hole) Dre-eam! You’re evil. You’re evil. Dream: Anything else, Tommy? Tommy: Nope! Dream: Oh c’mon, I know there’s something else you wanna drop down here. Tommy: (panicking slightly) No, there… (messages BBH “take this and run”, throws him the disc BBH had gifted him earlier) Um… I don’t reckon there is! (pause) Dream: Okay, are you suuuure? Tommy: YES. Dream: Alright… How ‘bout your armor, Tommy? Tommy: Well, no, this is- I actually earned this myself. Dream: I know you did! Tommy: Leave me alone. Dream: Just drop it in the hole, Tommy. Tommy: Wh- no, NO, you can’t just come and demand things from me! I’ve been exiled, I’ve done your shit, what do you mean?! Dream: (sing-song) Tommy… Tommy: What? (Dream hits Tommy with his axe, taking over half his health) Tommy: (screams, drops his armor) OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY!

The only rule Tommy was aware of at this time was that he wasn’t allowed to go back to L’Manburg. Dream had taken his armor the night before, but there was no indication that he expected Tommy to do this constantly. Taking his armor upon initially arriving at Logstedshire made some kind of sense, allowing Tommy to keep it would run the risk of him trying to fight his way back into L’Manburg. Taking his new, very shitty armor (seriously it was an iron chestplate and a pair of golden leggings he got from a ruined portal chest) made no sense at all, so the fact that Tommy was confused and refused to cooperate at first isn’t unexpected in the slightest.

And the thing is… Dream was aware of this fact. Throughout the conversation, he never really sounded annoyed, and was actively teasing Tommy at times. This isn’t a good thing btw, it’s a sign that he was fully aware that Tommy didn’t know what he wanted from him, and that that would create a situation where Dream could “put him in his place” as it were.

If you’re a parent, and your kid does something that’s not allowed, without knowing it’s not allowed, you don’t start off with a beating. You sit them down, calmly explain the rules to them and explain why those rules are there, then send them on their way with the knowledge that they shouldn't do it again.

This interaction wasn’t an instance of Tommy acting out and Dream correcting him. This interaction was a trap. Dream set Tommy up to fail by not telling him the rules beforehand, and when Tommy offered even the slightest bit of resistance and asked why he needed to drop his armor, Dream jumped straight to beating him. It’s a powerplay, plain and simple.

This is demonstrated again with the destruction of Logstedshire. Dream got pissed that Tommy disobeyed him by having hidden chests with gear under his house, and retaliated by destroying everything Tommy had built, destroying every item he’d collected, killing his pet and only foodsource, barring him from the Nether, banning everyone except himself from visiting, and telling him to start over from scratch after a whole lecture about how Tommy betrayed him.

Again, I wanna point out some specific lines from this lecture that illustrate my point very well.

Dream: You were lying to me! You were lying to me. Tommy: No- Why was I lying?! Dream: What do you mean, why were you lying?! Tommy: I wasn’t hi- I wasn’t- Dream: You hid things in a chest knowing they were things I wouldn’t want you to have! And you hid it in a way that way I would never find it!

Except Tommy didn’t know that. The contents of the stash were all items that Tommy had obtained previously without any issue (diamonds, emeralds, iron, ender pearls, some pickaxes, and some purely sentimental items like flowers, a jukebox, and pictures of Tubbo and L’Manburg). In fact, the vast majority of them came from Tommy’s aboveground storage, which Dream had full access to, and had looked through before!

Dream also never said Tommy wasn’t allowed to hide stuff, and there was nothing to suggest he didn’t want Tommy to keep secrets from him.

There’s been a theory floating around for a while that Dream knew about Tommy’s item stash beforehand, since it was a very strange place to dig a hole (like, right in front of the house in the center of Logstedshire itself, instead of out in the plains where the TNT wouldn’t damage any structures), and Tommy had previously forgotten to cover up the entrance ladder. While Dream hadn’t looked inside the house, he would’ve definitely heard Tommy place the block back.

If this theory is correct, then this was yet another trap. Dream knew Tommy had a hidden room, and instead of just saying “hey, I don’t want you to have a hidden stash, go put this back and fill in the room” (which would’ve still been bullshit btw), he went COMPLETELY ballistic, destroyed EVERYTHING Tommy had, and while doing it, kept admonishing Tommy for betraying him, said shit like “I thought we were friends”, and even accused him of preparing to attack Dream. Again, a powerplay.

Hell, even the exile conflict itself is this! Tommy was exiled for griefing the king’s property while being a high-ranking official in L’Manburg. Except Fundy, the then-president’s son, CONSTANTLY griefed Eret’s shit after the L’Manburg war, ranging from ripping down one of their towers to “shrink” it, filling another tower with water, and multiple elaborate plots to steal the throne from under their nose. But apparently, between all of that shit and the exile-conflict, the rules were silently changed, meaning Dream could exile Tommy for breaking a couple blocks and placing some rude signs in George’s house. Even the punishment itself was changed without warning, as Tommy went from being exiled from L’Manburg to exiled from “everywhere that’s ever been touched.”

...I was originally gonna make a different point here. I may put it in the reblogs, because I still think it’s very interesting. But, in the middle of writing this essay I had to stop because it was late, then I spent the entire next day packing up because I’m in the middle of a move. It's now the next evening, I'm sat in my new room, on my camping bed, I opened this doc because I pretty much forgot what I typed, I reread it, and then I realized… This isn’t an isolated series of events. This is a pattern for Dream.

Before Tommy first joined the server, there were only three set rules: no stealing, no griefing, and no killing people. Except by that point, those rules weren’t enforced at all. In fact, Dream broke all three at once at one point, by killing George and burning his diamond armor because he didn’t feel it was fair that George got to run around in full diamond when everyone else still had iron.

Tommy joined the server, and broke the rules like everyone else. He stole shit, broke shit, killed George for funsies… and he got exiled for it. Seriously, they dumped him in an empty snowfield for breaking rules that nobody had enforced for weeks. So technically, the Exile-arc isn’t even the first time something like this has happened to him!

During the events that would eventually spark the Disc War, Sapnap stole a bunch of Tommy’s items (including the only Netherite chestplate on the server at the time), and told him he’d only give the stuff back if Tommy helped him with a conflict he had with Ponk. Long story short, Dream tried to intervene and was killed by Tommy and Sapnap, and Dream stole Tommy’s discs to force him to apologize. He then kept the discs, and the Disc War followed. Sapnap, despite being the aggressor and arguably forcing Tommy to participate in the conflict, was never punished.

This proves not only that the rules can change whenever Dream feels like it, but that they’re arbitrarily enforced. Dream refuses to punish his friends for the same crimes he endlessly fucks over Tommy for.

L’Manburg was created in part because of the fact that the rules were unevenly enforced. Tommy, Wilbur, and later Tubbo were repeatedly killed, stolen from, imprisoned, and even held hostage for very minor crimes, while the people killing, imprisoning, kidnapping and stealing from them were able to do so without impunity.

This was also the point where Dream just started making up new rules; there was no rule against having governments on the server, or making a separate area where Dream’s rules wouldn’t apply, so Dream banned governments, and used this new rule as an excuse to kill them, take their items, and tear their land to shreds.

And that’s another thing: the punishments for breaking Dream’s rules are INCREDIBLY harsh.

Kill him non-canonically one time? Your most prized possessions will now be dangled over your head and used to hurt you for the next few months.

Make a country with different laws that doesn’t infringe on anyone’s territory, has no desire to expand, is explicitly pacifistic and open to trade negotiations? You’ll be forced to fight a war you’re in no way equipped to fight, you’ll be betrayed and murdered and have your land destroyed in front of your very eyes until you literally have no choice but to surrender.

Mildly vandalize the king’s house, which nobody else has ever been punished for? You’ll be dragged into court, exiled from your home, and subjected to weeks of abuse until you believe that all of your friends hate you and you actively want to kill yourself.

Hide some stuff in a secret chest? Your only shelter will be exploded, your pet/only food source will be killed, all your items will be destroyed, you’ll be banned from the Nether, and none of your friends will be allowed to come see you.

This is all such disproportionate retribution it’s ridiculous. It’s like punishing someone for speeding by blowing up their car with a ballistic missile.

So to sum up: Dream’s rules are arbitrarily enforced, and he can just straight up make them up on the spot if he feels like it. Sometimes, he won’t tell you a rule exists until you’ve already broken it, and you’re treated as if you broke it out of malice instead of genuine ignorance. And if you do break a rule, and he decides you have to be punished, it will always be a punishment so harsh it doesn’t even ATTEMPT to fit the crime.

I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty fucking corrupt and tyrannical to me.

When people say Tommy deserved exile, or made Dream spiral into villainy, or abused Dream somehow (seriously I’ve seen this take multiple times and every time it makes my brain melt) by breaking the rules, I would invite them to take a step back and ask themselves, why did that rule exist? Did Tommy know it existed? Was it enforced for everyone other than him as well? Does the punishment fit the crime?

Dream has a bad habit of making up rules, or enforcing old ones that were never enforced before, to punish those who threaten his power. None of the Dream Team were ever punished for anything, despite committing the same crimes as the L’Manburgians. That is, until they founded Mexican L’Manburg (i.e. went against Dream’s rule), at which point they were attacked by Dream and George was dethroned for “not being neutral enough.”

Tommy should’ve faced consequences for what he did. But those consequences should’ve come naturally, and been carried out by the people he hurt. Like, if Dream hadn’t intervened, griefing George’s house would’ve resulted in George griefing Tommy back in revenge. In fact, he DID do that, by turning Tommy’s entire house into granite and putting the Jump In The Cadillac picture on his front lawn.

These are natural, proportionate consequences. Exile was none of that. The Disc War was none of that. Everything that happened to L’Manburg was none of that.

Dream’s rules and how he enforces them are inherently corrupt and tyrannical. To pretend it’s anything but is disingenuous at best.

major oc plots and scenarios 🥶

Long Post WArning -- beware....

major plots = the overall school-oriented plot, the shadow of israphel plotline, and the heroes rise plotline ... all of these have a couple different subplots too but ill just write about the overall crap. i will also talk about a plot ive had brewing in my mind for millions of yrs but have never done anything with (yet..?)

1.) the general story:

major characters involved: all ocs setting: a major university in america (primarily modeled after NYU and set in a large city like NY but ... i dont want to force them into a specific zone so :shrug:) genre: slice of life .. romance .. funni... about: this one involves my ocs going to the same college and interacting / hanging out with each other after meeting at a program designed to help international students + non-traditional students (lgbt/poc/poor/etc) adapt to university* ... after settling into the school year they form a big roleplay group that RPs on discord... it's just fun slice of life stuff ft. my little guys * this was based off my real life college experience where we had a program for underrepresented groups to get used to university life so i thought itd be a good way for everyone to meet up since a majority of my ocs are either lgbt, poc/international students, or otherwise eligible to join the dang program.

notes: since the next two that follow are fandom oc-insert plotlines that dont make use of every oc, just assume that they're more small group or private roleplay plotlines ... though in all technicality, both of them can be made into like. (original character) is roleplaying as (canon character) :shrug:

2.) the shadow of israphel plotline major original characters: akihito, elena [sometimes guest appearances from others like makoto/markus/cecil/toby depending on how i want to have the story go] setting: shadow of israphel universe -- yogscast original story [i.e., anything that happens in the 3rd season of the yogscast's minecraft series] genre: adventure ... CANON about: xephos, honeydew, and their allies (lysander, peculier, etc.) have to save both the WORLD and old_peculier's crush daisy from israphel ... starting from the YOGCAVE and ending off at the damn desert zone or w/ev, its a big chaotic adventure OC additions & revisions: akihito joins the party (yes its like an rpg fkgfhkg). in my version he and lysander Can be a thing [depends on how im feeling] and he primarily travels around with xephos and honeydew. akihito and elena work with adaephon at verigans hold which, in my canon, is more like a tourist destination/historical museum type place (based on the fact that adaephon has the freaking tale of the sands recorded there... i assume that it serves as a larger historical record place; therefore thats how i treat it when i think about it). not much is changed in terms of the core story except that there are expanded interactions ... i try to keep my additions to this one relatively small but it's so fun to imagine...

3.) the heroes rise plotline [PRIMARILY HR 1 AND 2] [[LONG AF IM SORRY]] (aaand im giving up on the color coding sorry)

major original characters: akihito, makoto, [maybe markus, sometimes i pretend he's the mc but ... ill explain below KFGHFKGK] minor ocs (i.e., they show up either briefly or randomly depending on how i want the story to go): elena/cecil/dimitri setting: wherever the hell heroes rise takes place -- typically millennia city tho genre: adventure / superhero bs

CANON about: heroes rise is a choose your own adventure game revolving around being a notable superhero in millennia city and saving ur parents from prison, essentially. the original trilogy is what i base my plotpoints off of -- the prodigy, the hero project, and herofall. the prodigy is about ur rise to stardom essentially ... the hero project is PRIMARILY where my ocs come in since theres a lot more potential for them to get added; this one is about your hero competing in a national competition to find the best american heroes to join the first USA superhero team or something like that. herofall is the third game in the trilogy and im not gonna lie i havent played it enough to cement the plot into my mind but it ends the major trilogy arc and picks up where thp ends.

OC additions and revisions -- broken down by game

the prodigy: no huge changes to this one except that akihito is mentioned in the background to set up his role in the hero project ... like, ppl will mention him as a major foreign celeb or something. in some variants i have him meet the mc / contact the mc at some point but primarily he plays a small role here.

the hero project: Huge role..... like whole-new-story ahh changes. so in this one theres a pre-story competition going on scouting for the number one international hero to join the american protectorate group (APG; i THINK thats what its called) -- its essentially like the olympics initially ... all the heroes have to go under a huge set of tests (intellectual, physical/mental health-based, power-based, etc.) to get rankings; the top 100 compete and blah blah blah. in this one akihito is the #winner and joins the APG as its first new member [technically like. im p sure rebellion or w/ev the hell is the leader so :Shrug: akihito is the first non-leader member]. for a majority of the story he kind of just works alongside everyone to scope out who's going to be efficient on the team and whatever... one plot point is that he runs classes for japanese/french learning since those are his native langs and its helpful to know them in that case.

theres a LOT with this one like. i might just have to write it as a full ahh story at this point and post it on here. thats where freaking that note about markus comes in, ill probs make him the mc just bc he seems quite ... pliable. like he could just fit in here as the mc i suppose. oh also makoto is a major character too but he's like. a staff member on the med team / works as the like on-site nurse in training #tbh FHKGFKHGKFH [again ill just have to write it out at some point cuase... wow]

4.) the unnamed elemental plotline

theres not a lot of stuff ive made as a concrete thing but essentially i wanted to make my ocs representatives of various life elements (time, space, weather, nature, seasons, etc.) and kind of make it into a thing like that ... i actually made it in FOURTH GRADE but couldnt figure out how to turn it into a big story. akihito was going to be a representative of time (ive kept this as a weird trivia fact -- ex: he's very good at time-based things like knowing what time it is without a watch) and elena was going to be in charge of cold weather (which is why i think i made her norwegian KFHGKFHG).

maybe someday ill get to actually write this one out...? AKLHSDGHKASDG its very cool but i feel like its been made already so idk itd be cool anyway tho

@more-than-a-princess is there a muse that you wish gets more attention? what is something everyone should know about your muses before interacting? can you sort your muses from youngest to oldest?

1. is there a muse that you wish gets more attention? Let me see... Besides the Code:Realize ones? I feel I could use my OCs more, or Gray. They are all good beans that deserve more love. Gray is an interesting although her mindscape can be a little unusual to get to – still, leagues and bounds easier than Angra (that one when it isn’t for memes can be harsh on my mental health if done properly). Hilda is an interesting muse to work with, although I feel her voice is still uncertain at some spots. She is barely mentioned in canon and is defined as “Luvia’s softer twin sister” but even so I believe she should have a strong personality, to be assertive and exuberant in her own right – perhaps I should think in FGO terms and give her a pseudo-servant status like her sister and see if I can get an inspiration from some deity? I don’t know yet. Kuzunoha is also other rather elusive muse: a divine kitsune, a “benevolent trickster”. She was saved from a hunter by a onmyouji (monk) and, as a human, was by his side and tended his wounds, eventually getting married, having a son together but leaving once the husband found out her secret. Their son eventually grew up to become Abe-no-Seimei, Japan’s most famous onmyouji and mystic, who protect people from evil spirits and other mystics. Remember that mystic rock that broke out of nowhere last year? It is the stone that it is said that Seimei sealed an evil youkai within. tl;dr: elegant kitsune who likes to see people striving but still has a playful bit in her.

12. what is something everyone should know about your muses before interacting? I think the one thing people should know about my muses is that most of them have a modern verse (as I rambled here) and I’m also always open to make crossovers/AUs/verses to accommodate my rp partners. Hell, I even had a Star Wars verse with the Big Bad Wolf with a friend for shits and giggles and it was so much fun. I also usually hold back some of my muses when I don't know much about my rp partner. For example, you'll never see Angra being inappropriate and doing innuendo jokes without permission, or Archer sassing people without consent. Same goes for ships: even if there is a ship in canon, I won't assume there is one between our muses unless we talk about it. I'm all about 'em healthy communication and relationships out of character.

15. can you sort your muses from youngest to oldest? Technically speaking, my youngest would be Sieg, he is a homunculus so when he jokes “I was born yesterday” it isn’t too far-fetched. Special situations aside, the youngest would be Gray, followed by Soma Cruz (Castlevania) and then Komaru Naegi. Then comes Amami, Kirigiri, Aiguille, Shirou, Hajime, Narukami and Nero. And when it comes to oldest it also have the special cases like Dracula and Valvatorez, who are vampires, Kuzunoha that is an immortal youkai, but the oldest among these, I kid you not, is Angra. Muramasa died as an old man and was brought with the mentality of the time he died, so mentally speaking he is the oldest. Saber Emiya also died as an old man, but not as much as Muramasa and his mentality is younger. Proto Arthur’s aging was stilted thanks to Excalibur so he is also another one with ambiguous age along with Archer. Now, to the more “reasonable” ones: the oldest is Romani Archaman (FGO) who is mentioned to be mid-30s in the game, followed by Kiritsugu (who died at 34) and Waver, who is 29. Then comes Van Helsing and Rufus in their mid-20s.

How many works do you have on AO3?

19 (haha), I really gotta work on moving all my paranoid ford one shots over into a one shot series though. I have about 70 fic posts on here.

What’s your total word count on AO3

180,212. Half of which all comes from Gotham Falls which isn’t a surprise.

How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

Mainly just Gravity Falls.

I wouldn’t really count the other stuff I’ve done because it’s only been 1 fic, and that was it really. R.ise of the Guardians, O.utlast:Whistleblower, S.anders Sides. N.aruto and D.eath Note if you wanna go way back.

I’m pretty happy ITISY is up there since that’s kind of my ‘best series work’, Blinded Eye too, that one’s been a lot of fun to write because it’s a ficlet series.

Kind of really thrown that the Even Stone Crumbles one shot is the hightest one though, dang people really just wanted to see Ford cry huh, I can accomodate that.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Uh... rarely.

Basically, it’s something where creators responding to me got me nervous so I didn’t generally do it as a creator myself until I found out some consider it polite to respond and since then I’ve been making an effort of doing it going forward.

I’m not online that often nowadays though so... I haven’t done it much.

Wanna emphasize tho how much I THRIVE off of comments and that I appreciate them even if I didn’t reply to them. Genuinely I’ve made fics a higher priority bc a comment revitalized my passion for the fic.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Most of my paranoid one shots wind up with angsty endings where it’s implied that Ford just has to keep Living in it.

I had one where he woke up and thought Bill had Killed A Person while he was possessing him, and it leaves off an unsettling note.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest thing you’ve ever written?

Rarely. I wouldn’t consider myself a crossover person, which is funny because I have one exception for that and it IS Gotham Falls (which is the stan twins from gf inside of gotham from b.atman the animated series).

For the sake of the question though imma include rp for wildest thing I’ve ever done which was rp as Chris McLean from total drama island and hosted a game of ‘rabbit doubt’ (which is an angsty rp game where 1 person is a killer and is killing the other characters until they’re the only one left or the group discovers who it is). Players included bill, some undertale characters, and etc.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

No. Worst I’ve ever gotten was slightly rude stuff.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

‘Rarely’ really is the word of the day here. Some g.ravity falls and some vamp oc content.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. Closest I’ve ever done has been rp. Remembered I co-wrote a fic with a friend when I was in middle school. Dual self-insert where the a.katsuki (from n.aruto) kidnapped us from our world and we wound up becoming ninjas.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

hands down, B.illford. Manipulative and toxic is a ship dynamic I enjoy a lot.

Honorable second place B.lackice (J.ack Frost/P.itch Black) which i’ve been coming back to read fics for every long once in a while since 2013. Even if it’s only in spurts it is still technically the longest I’ve cared for a ship. (Surprisingly, I actually like this ship when Pitch genuinely reforms, kozmotis style)

(I don’t care about the vast majority of ships so not a hard competition here.)

What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Gotham F- lol no, I’m determined to not die until I finish that bad boy.

Dear Stan(ford). Unfortunately, an easy answer. I’ve never gone back to finish it really, and it’s the lowest on the totem poles out of all my wips.

There’s nothing wrong with it, and it’s got good legs, but I think the slice-of-life sort of pace makes this harder for me to write especially with it being an episodic set up which gives me nothing much to jump to between each letter.

It’s a bit of a ‘as the mood strikes me’ but I always have something higher priority and I’m more invested in so the mood never strikes.

What are your writing strengths?

I’d like to think that once I’ve got a character down that I can do their dialogue really well and character interactions. Characterization in general.

Also tense scenes.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Fluff, casual conversations, new characters, fighting.

Whenever I try anything entirely light hearted I generally fall flat and it all comes out so stocky/woody.

New characters, if I don’t Know A Character Through and Have A True Feel for them, then I just flounder all over the place. I don’t know how to write if I don’t know what they’d be thinking and feeling past about how ANY person would think/feel.

Fighting - I mean hell, common weakness, same issue as fluff/slice-of-life I just feel like I’m pushing words. Half the time I can get in a groove with it, but other times it’s - arm hit wall, punch go to face but miss.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Yeah, more than fine. If the 2nd language becomes plot important then I think you should either include translation or mark the language as multilingual, but yeah nah.

I’m someone that has to know what it’s saying even if it’s not Plot Important so I prefer the translations regardless (if google translate won’t get the point across for me).

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

N.aruto.

See above for mention of that self insert a.katsuki kidnapping fic.

We posted it on quizilla, and it’s a shame it’s gone because it was actually fun to read from what I remember.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?

.... That’s a hard decision.

My baby is Gotham Falls, always has been. I’ve reached a difficult point on it though because I’m at a point where I’m bringing in mmm 6 new characters (B.atman villains) which I’m trying to bring in over the next 10 chapters PLUS it’s going to be with fight/action scenes probably every other chapter if not nearly every chapter - both of which are really hard for me to write. I adore it probably the most and it is easily the most I’ve worked on any fic, but it’s also my biggest challenge. (And it holds some of my oldest writing which as always can hurt to read when you’re better now, but NO way am i updating 60k of old work).

Then I love doing p.aranoid ford fics, they’re my favorite go to. Writing A Prime P.aranoid Ford fic that just flows out is one of my favorite things.

Alternatively - ITISY because it’s definitely my top 5 story concepts and one of my best executions of something wasn’t a one shot.

If any of yall remember The Haunted/The Haunting (minecraft herobrine rp series) I’d like to bring to your consideration:

c!Ranboo and c!Drake are related.

So this might just be me combining hyperfixations and it’s definitely not canon or ever going to be but I love The Haunted so I’m going to ramble anyways.

1: They’re both half Enderman

Kind of an odd point to start on considering hybrids/nonhumans are pretty common within the DSMP, but it’s been established that Ranboo is the only enderman hybrid on the server, and Drake has a similar situation within The Haunted. Of course, Drake is part enderman because he was originally human but his soul latched onto the body of an enderman and used it as a host body, transforming it in the process, but we have no evidence that this couldn’t be passed on genetically. To add to this, we have clear evidence that other races of nonhumans exist within The Haunting’s universe due to the existence of an elf character.

2: Both have amnesia/memory loss

Memory problems aren’t always genetic, but they definitely can be. Of course, both could have memory loss due to trauma, or in Drake’s case because of Herobrine, but it is a noteable similarity. Also, because of this we know very little about Ranboo’s past or backstory.

3: Both have “magic” abilities

The Dream SMP has very few characters with genuine magical abilities. Dream XD is canonically a god due to creative mode, and Drista does whatever she wants, but other than that there’s very few characters with magic (unless we’re counting Jack Manifold crawling out of hell because he’s just too pissed to remain dead but he’s an outlier and should not be counted).

One character that’s shown to have genuine magic abilities, or at least magic to this server, is Ranboo. He’s been shown to be able to pick up spawners, an action that is unique to him within the server, which is described as a “main character” moment by several other characters he interacts with, implying that this is seen as magic or at least highly unusual. He’s also been shown to be able to look at enderman without them attacking him, as well as being able to talk to them.

Magic is also somewhat rare within the world of The Haunted. When Drake is in our modern time, which is heavily implied to be the past within the timeline, there’s no mention of magic whatsoever. When he and the others travel through time to what appears to be the past (later implied to be the far-off future), magic is displayed as being rare and powerful, but it definitely exists and becomes a major plot point within the series as time goes on. Drake in particular has the ability to teleport, another trait associated with endermen. Spawners were never used within The Haunted, so it’s entirely possible that Drake could have been able to pick up a spawner if he had been exposed to one.

4: Parallels between Ranboo’s enderwalk and Drake’s (partial) possession by Herobrine

Ranboo’s enderwalk state is shown to be a completely separate entity from him normally. He speaks rarely, picks up and places blocks similarly to endermen, and is much more impressionable by Dream. As well as this, normal Ranboo often has hallucinations of antagonistic figures in his life. Drake’s possession is uncannily similar, or at least implied to be. Armin, who carries the majority of Herobrine throughout The Haunted, is an entirely separate person from Herobrine Armin. In his nonlucid state he is quite similar to enderwalk Ranboo. He doesn’t speak, and acts on the base instinct and influence of Herobrine, much like Ranboo acts on his enderman instincts and Dream’s influence. Drake, though never shown in a state where Herobrine is controlling his body, also has hallucinations/visions, similar to Ranboo.

5: Complete lack of coherent timeline in The Haunted

Any longtime fans of The Haunted know that the timeline is quite messed up and incoherent at times, probably because the series was made over the course of several years and the ideas that the creators had for it changed over this long period of time. However, I’m ignoring any reasonable explanations because I want to, because I’m completely separating author from fiction, and because it’s one of my favorite parts of the entire series.

The DreamSMP also has an incoherent timeline, partly because of real to minecraft time conversions, and partly because of Karl’s lore streams. Because of this, I’m saying whatever I want and you can’t stop me.

The Haunted begins in what is assumed to be our modern time, due to similarities in technology, language, and culture. However, the characters are transported to a setting that is seemingly in the past, though later heavily implied (and possibly confirmed?) to be in the far future. This proves that time travel is completely possible within the world of The Haunted. Due to Karl, time travel is also confirmed to be possible within the DSMP. Therefore, it’s entirely possible that Drake and Ranboo could be related, if not from their usual times then from timeline shenanigans.

6: Post-apocalyptic settings

The Haunted, due to the past (our present) being shown as being in ruins, can easily be called post-apocalyptic, especially when one considers the archaeologic discoveries of depictions of a figure heavily implied(pretty much confirmed) to be Herobrine destroying “modern” civilization, which were found within an underground labyrinth in the second to last season (not counting the reboot, stop fixing the timeline >:(). The DreamSMP could also be seen as post-apocalyptic, due to references to modern society within a world that has clearly not developed past our world’s early 20th century/late 19th century. Also, Mizu is clearly post-something, with the DSMP’s destruction and a decay of the world’s history.

7: Ranbob and Grayson’s unnamed dead kids exist

Grayson was confirmed to have been married and had children in the 5 years that Drake and Grayson were canonically apart within The Haunting, and Drake never was shown to not have kids, so even if it’s unlikely due to his avoidance of any cities or large gatherings of people it’s not impossible. Also, he could have had children before he was teleported away from his original spot on the timeline, though this is unlikely.

As well as this, Ranbob exists. Ranboo definitely had kids, so technically if Ranboo isn’t Drake’s decendant it could definitely be the other way around.

8: Death of the author

Ranboo if you are reading this I want you to know that unless you explicitly state within the DSMP that your character isn’t related to Drake then there’s literally nothing that can definitively prove otherwise. As an author, once you put out your media you are dead to it and cannot further influence it. Also, I really doubt that the dudes behind The Haunting would see this or care so it’s really up to Ranboo in this situation.
