Youtuber Extra Credits: *says that when a person plays as a Nazi in a SHOOTER GAME it makes them a Nazi*

Me: So I guess me playing We Happy Few, taking Joy and having the option of killing people if I wanted to makes me a druggie killer? Yeah I don’t think so

So basically this Youtuber, Extra Credits, in his knowledge decided that people who play as Nazis in shooter games are nazis themselves in his video. Just WTF, that’s like saying what I said above. Apparently, using his logic, me playing We Happy Few makes me a druggie killer because I have to take Joy or Sunshine to make sure I don’t get Bobbys, Wellington Wellies or Joy Doctors to murder my dumbass! Any normal minded person will tell you that Nazis are scum, these guys killed millions of people because they weren’t “perfect”! And this Youtuber is triggered by a fucking video game?! There were real people who died under Nazi control, real people who fought to free those poor people who watched (not by choice) as their friends and family were killed in horrible ways, soldiers that were scared with shit that they saw and this young man has the nerve to say “you don’t understand the history!” Of course we do, the game itself is just fun, in my eyes, you’re saying “Fuck the people who work their asses off to make the games someone like me likes (I don’t play a lot of shooters, borderlands, but I find it cool when a historical reference is made in a game)!” I admire those who work hard with both the artwork and story board, I imagine that those in the gaming industry must want to scream in rage when not everyone agrees on one thing (I know I would, plus I suck at drawing, so I love looking at talented people like Whitney Clayton, who did a lot of the artwork for We Happy Few).

People go to school to make video games, for a long time I imagine (not as long as a doctor, but long enough to get graphics/drawing down I imagine). Also “Let’s make people not play as terrorists anymore” and “Not accurate weapons”?! One, no one is forcing people to play as terrorists, I’ve seen shooter gameplay and a lot of the time you can choose your team, some of the time you can’t (aka It’s usually fucking RANDOMIZED!!) As for the weapons, no shit a lot of the time the weapons aren’t going to be “realistic”, it’s called a “video game” for a reason! It’s a work of fucking FICTION!!

Word of advice: How about you not play those “Nazi shooters” and play games that don’t upset you. Play Silent Hill or Resident Evil if you want realism!

(Sorry for the rant, but as a gamer, this shit gets under my skin when people like this try to say that because I like games mean I’m trying to “normalize” evil. Just WTF people?!)
