I seriously think Phainon would probably either give you a plain metal ring, not one you'd wear on your ring finger, maybe something like on your thumb or index finger to wear. Or maybe if he was feeling bolder he'd give you a ribbon. And he'd tie it around your neck.

Maybe a little harder than you like, but it'd probably be blue. Cause the complementary colour of brown (which this mf has a fucking collar wtf...) and you two would match in some weird way. And you can't untie the knot because he made it one of those knots that's really hard to untie unless you're looking at it (he ties it from the back).

Same thing with the ring. The ring would probably be like a tad bit too small so you'd have difficulty taking it off. It's ugly. You hate it. But he insists.

I imagine Kristoph Gavin was a 2nd violin in a string quartet when he was in college. He's absolutely the kind of guy to have played violin, and I would imagine he LOVED like. Haydn. But he's not showy enough to want the first violin position. And he gets SO perfectionist about the whole thing that the quartet ends up falling apart after 6 months.

So when his little brother is the lead musician in a successful band? AND has passed the bar and is about to debut as a lawyer? It makes Kristoph So Fucking Mad. Why does Klavier get to have everything Kristoph has strived to have. Why can Klavier do what Kristoph couldn't.

Kristoph doesn't know that behind the scenes Klavier is just as much of a control freak with his music as Kristoph was- Klavier is just able to keep his relationships based in kindness enough that it doesn't all fall apart.

still thinking about Unmasking Autism by devon price and the bit in the book where he talked about the shapes he contorted himself into when he lacked the framework of autism and how he became the kind of person who didn’t participate in life but still assumed a persona of being hypercritical and sarcastic and witheringly judgemental to desperately hide the fact that he couldn’t connect to the world around him in a way that made any sense to him. the extreme criticism provided a smokescreen that allowed him to look and feel neurotypical, which is what he wanted more than anything else in the world. it allowed his aloofness and contempt to seem like value judgments, or matters of taste and discernment, rather than what they really were (distancing behaviors by a terrified autist)
