The hardhat sits awkwardly on his head, overgrown hair fallen over his forehead squished right down to his eyebrows by the weight and heft of the protective gear almost to the point that Zeb can't make out the way they're drawn together to match his scowl. Almost. "I hate you," Kallus says not flatly at all. There's a rough, gravelly quality to his words that's like music to Zeb's ears, the closest thing to a warning growl he's ever heard from a human. It shouldn't be thrilling, but it is. It really is. "Hate me all you want, as long as you're wearing the correct gear," Zeb counters sweetly. He holds out a matching regulation safety yellow vest on the crook of one digit, giving it an enticing jangle when Kallus' scowl deepens. OR: Zeb is tasked with keeping their latest defector in line during his first undercover mission for the rebellion infiltrating an Imperial factory. Does Zeb need to take the foreman role while sticking Kallus with the grunt work on the factory floor? No, but it sure makes him happy to see the ex-Imperial break a sweat.
