I need to draw my fancy Rat King again. This sketch is almost six years old.

Honestly this was actually the thing that made me nearly go insane because despite having an idea, I had no solid design to work with. So this is part of why it took so long-I had to kinda workshop the design for well over half a year before I was satisfied. Don't know why I tried to finish this whole thing in like, a month.

Also why did I choose 9 cards I could have just kinda done like 4 and been done with it-

Anyways, this is also the most solid ref I have ever made. And right before artfight too which wasn't planned but is very funny,

Hope y'all enjoyed this disaster train I dragged everyone on. This took far too long and I am now tired.

Octavia D'Angelo is a tired young adult of a wealthy family. She's always had a fondness for stories and magical places. She is also fond of playing the piano, and singing. One particular gift at her uncle's Christmas party, a nutcracker, will unknowingly sending her in a magical world.

Clara and her nutcracker 💗

I love The Nutcracker so much I had to draw some art for it this year! I was inspired by the Pygmalion & Galatea myth (Clara bringing him to life) and also the “true love’s kiss” trope in fairytales.

(I hope the story is clear from the drawings- essentially Clara kisses him and he comes to life. He kisses her back but it surprises her because she didn’t expect him to actually come to life!)
