I miss my family, especially my mother's cooking but I've done my best to recreate my favorites on the island. I had a few recipes packed in my suitcase, fortunately.

Oh the access to knowledge that I can't get anywhere else!

I don't know if fear is the right word, but they are definitely weary towards some and are always locking doors to be on the safe side.

BIO before veritas.

Stefan's early years may have seemed typical from an outsider's perspective, growing up in a stable household with two loving parents. However, behind the façade of family harmony, his parents' love for each other had waned, leading to persistent disagreements over their contrasting parenting philosophies. Despite their differences, they chose to stay together for the sake of their child. During his childhood, Stefan found solace in the world of movies, books, and online chat groups, both with classmates and strangers. It served as a refuge from the constant discord at home. Just as he settled into this routine, a major life change was on the horizon. Instead of starting his high school journey, Stefan embarked on a new chapter by moving to Mexico with his mother, where they reunited with her family. The plan was for his father to join them later, but what was supposed to be a brief separation extended to a year. Although Stefan and his father maintained a strained connection through phone calls, it was evident that their relationship was in turmoil. Despite the challenges, being in the company of his Mexican family, especially his beloved abuela, provided some comfort. He cherished the time spent with her, learning family recipes and uncovering cherished traditions. However, after her passing, life grew more challenging. A letter from his abuela, along with a one-way ticket to Oxford (a place he had always dreamed of attending for biology) and some financial support, clarified his path forward. Fueled by determination and an unwavering passion for creation, including delving into the supernatural, as inspired by the stories of Veritas Isles, Stefan made a difficult decision. Following a heated argument with his mother, he left for Oxford, initially hesitating but ultimately realizing it was the right choice for his future. After a period of adjustment, he found accommodations, albeit not the most luxurious, and began building a sense of belonging. He secured employment while simultaneously nurturing his burgeoning podcast, which, although still in its infancy, steadily garnered a growing number of devoted followers. Stefan's relationship with his mother, once strained, gradually improved. Despite her persistent appeals for him to return home, he remained resolute in his belief that he was where he was meant to be. He also took steps to rebuild his connection with his father, determined to uncover the truth about their past.
