Have I been desensitized by other fucked up characters??? Mistborn characters keep talking about how cold and ruthless Kelsier was, how his example is not to be followed, how his hatred for nobility was so deep and bitter etc... but to me he just came off as an eager and ambitious guy

Elphaba for the hc game

1. Sexuality headcanon?

I don’t think Elphaba has ever really bothered herself with categorising her sexuality; I don’t think she ever really thought that romance or physical intimacy was a possibility for her. However, I think that she’s attracted to both men and women - she can appreciate beauty, but what really draws her is personality and intellect. So or that reason I’d probably guess she’s pan/bi.

Gelphie. Gelphie. Gelphie.

3. Brotp?

Nanny and Elphaba, because I just love Nanny, and I think she’s the only one who could tell Elphaba off and Elphaba would listen (but pretend not to) apart from Glinda.

4. Notp?

I want to say Fiyeaba, but I understand Elphaba’s motivation (IN THE BOOK ONLY) for finding a distraction in him (the way the musical has her just run off with him and not care at all how that hurt Glinda pisses me the fuck off).

5. First headcanon that comes to mind?

Elphaba only ever loved Glinda, Fiyero was just a distraction that made her feel wanted and gave her a reprieve from the darkness of her life. (Oh, also, she’s the more dominant one in her physical relationship with Glinda, because the fact that someone can put so much trust in her and open themselves up to her when all she’s ever experienced is fear and rejection, that means a lot).

6. One way that I relate to this character?

Her hard exterior of sarcasm that is intended to hide the fact that she’s unsure. And the fact that she hates to be wrong.

7. Moment that gives me secondhand embarrassment?

In the book, her whole affair with Fiyero - it felt ooc and the dialogue was cringey, don’t even get me started on the sex scenes. And for the musical, the fact that she just accepts Fiyero’s “it’s not lying, it’s looking at things another way.” Like, Elphie, sweetheart, no. This man has legit just said you don’t match his standards of beauty, why are you not questioning this? And, “For the first time I feel… Wicked…” (Maybe this one makes me more angry tbh - like, Elphie, mate, what you’ve done is pretty wicked, you’ve just fucked off with poor Glinda’s fiancé, even though she never loved him, that’s a bit bang out!) Also, pretty much the entirety of ‘As Long As Your Mine’ now that I really think about it. Also that part of the train station scene after ‘I’m Not That Girl’ when Elphaba says to Glinda “where is Fiyero anyway? Not that I expected him to come and see me, we hardly know each other.” Again, this is a mixed of embarrassment and anger, because you’re right, Elphie, you barely know this dude, yet you’ve convinced yourself you’re in love with him? Work on yourself, mate, you don’t need to be in love with a man for validation.

8. Cinnamon roll or problematic fave?

Somewhere in between? Idk. Although I probs lean more towards problematic fave in relation to the musical because it presents Elphaba as the ideal way we should think (I.e do the right thing, not the easy one) while never holding Elphaba to account over the questionable things she’s done, and often presents these in a good light. Like, sorry, but even if you subscribe to the belief that Gelphie was never a thing (I don’t understand how you could miss that, but okay), there’s no justification for Elphaba to run away with her supposed best friend’s fiancé and not even apologise or explain herself in a way that doesn’t gaslight Glinda.

I generally prefer second generation??? I think????? I like a bit of all of them tho. but like there is no definitive answer to when each of the generations start and end so like I don't even know??? but most of my fav groups as far as music goes are older around 2nd gen but a fair amount of them are gen 3, I have a really strong love for kpop that was released between 2009-2014.

Tell me a fun childhood story (I’ll start! ok so I spent a lot of time at my aunt Lori’s house when I was a kid (like summers, and after school) and my cousin was the BUG queen so she hand made leashes for her pet toads (that she caught) and we walked them around on leashes for like a week but I was always so afraid of them and also hurting them so I WAS NOT ABOUT THAT ahahaha dumb story but it makes me laugh alsoalsoalsdo they had this bench swing in their back yard and my cousin my sister and I would swing on it together for hours at a time and one time we were swinging real hard (REAL HARD) and the links?? or whatever that held it to the ceiling it was hanging from snapped and the three of us of us flew off of it and we all collectively blacked out??? it was so weird but I woke up to my cousin stuggling to get me off of her and then there lays my sister underneath the bench just blacked out chilling (she was fine) then my aunt came running out cause she had just heard the loudest crash ahsdfasdf not long after my uncle put stronger links on it and that bench is still there!
