Post canon Kalos League vacation to Unova..... What could go wrong? (a lot of things. Maybe.)
Im kinda curious on that offhand mention,,,
Tbf I didn't really do much with the idea now as it is, but it's just one of those fun crack plots that I would like to do if I'm free of the main part of the AU and am still kicking heh. Basically, you are 100% right: everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. We're talking about missed trains, lost in caves, lots of random splitting up (intentionally or unintentionally), getting more lost, trying to stay undercover with random fanclubs, sneaking into places they shouldn't be, more getting lost, and tons of other problems lol.
Totally not a solid 'fic' as it is, but I'm thinking that they went to Unova to just unwind and see another point of view as part of a vacation therapy professional training. They do have outings before but not on this large of a scale, and basically they have to choose replacements before leaving and it's a whole mess back in Kalos as well lol. But even in Unova they do not have peace (not even the plane ride was safe from shenanigans!).
They do meet the Gym Leaders in Unova and have... a relationship (although how good or beneficial it is seems questionable) and the Kalos Gym Leaders are basically just stuck with each other for like a month in a different region. They have to wear different clothes. They sign in the same PokeCentres (because some of them wanted that experience again) (also anonymity). They're all distracted and have to deal with each others shortcomings and while it has a lot of (and I mean a lot) of diffiulties and issues arising, it does bring them more together. And they learn to have fun. And also just learn about each otehr too and how to support each other.
#believe me i have way too many crack ideas as well as just some expanding fic ideas for almost everyone ever#it's a whole thing. it's sad though because they're all so far away from where i am currently writing#and i don't want to lose my train of thought or contradict myself later on#so they're just floating around in my head with strange cutscenes lol#clem is just so fed up with everything at this point. he already journeyed through a region! he's not that close with these guys anyways#viola and grant just having the chespin and pancham dynamic here. yes it was grant who fell off the ferry that one time#but in her defense he said that he could swim the whole way!#you know deep in your heart that korrina will challenge every gym leader there. she won't say anything just show up and battle#and then its just a matter of time until they realise who she is lol. she's going around collecting badges and by the end of it gets seven#all because wulfric couldn't help but run over to brycen before anyone could say anything. cheapskate.#btw yeah that's his only reason for being there. wulfric is just there to see brycen-man and get his autograph#he's chill with everything else though. mostly.#ramos is just inexplicably in the background doing something. no one knows where he goes off to but by the end of it#he has like 10 suitcases full of pokeballs (more grass types) different types of tea gardening tools and other stuff#WAIT i'm just thinking about cynthia's villa lol. imagine the group getting jumpscared by it#valerie is like: yeah elesa said this is where we'll meet someone very good :3#olympia: don't it's clearly a trap and omg korrina why did you open it#and it's just her garchomp standing there with a bowl of cereal#look i'm getting so many ideas as it is lol maybe i should just do this one#i actually have quite a few fics on the gym leaders doing some crazy stuff so there's that#also if you're wondering about the kalos e4 they're just going through the paperwork#dealing with the replacements and generally wishing that they could have the vacation instead#but they already used all their days and also diantha won't give them more. which is totally unfair but if they want more#they'll have to beat her. ...yeah it's not going to work out#diancie delivers#very crack but also lots of feels and open moments as well so yay

Tumblr media
a/n: thank u for the request anon!!! sorry it took me a bit to get around to it - i can be a busy busy gal.
Tumblr media
"you want me to what?"
clark's voice is unlike anything you'd ever heard from him, his shock nothing less than apparent. you shush him, looking around the hallway to see if anyone's noticed. it's lucky for you that nobody did.
"come on, clark. it's one night! not even! it's like, a few hours at most."
"can't you ask someone else? pete?"
"i don't want to ask pete. he won't be able to sell it."
"and you think i can?" he's exasperated, leaning closer to you as if he's suddenly aware how many people could overhear this conversation. "i'm a horrible liar."
"please? you know how my family can be," you whisper, looking up at clark. he sighs, hanging his head. he does know how your family can be—overbearing—which is exactly why he's hesitant. but you're you, so how can he actually say no?
"okay. okay, fine."
"really?" you ask, nearly jumping out of your skin. your arms slide around clark's neck as you excitedly let out a few small 'thank you's. clark's still frozen in place from his decision, but forces one of his arms to slide awkwardly around your hip. he's in for it, isn't he?
the ringing of the school bell pulls the two of you apart, and you quickly shut your locker, making your way towards your first class. clark keeps his place beside you. "so, what does this mean, exactly? what do you want from me?"
"jeez, clark, that sounds like i'm holding you hostage. it's just a favor."
"yeah, yeah. whatever. what do you need me to do?" he asks, taking his seat next to you at the lab table.
"i don't know. whatever feels natural," you say, bending to the side to pull your textbook out of your bag, a gesture which clark never would've took a second glance at. but today, with your hair falling in front of your face (and then you pushing it away), something's different. he doesn't even notice he forgot to say something in response to you until you glance back at him, confused at his silence.
"uh—" he clears his throat. "how am i supposed to know what's natural? we've never dated before." oops. overly sarcastic.
"have you never even considered it?"
"what?" clark's baffled by your question, but you ask it so casually, like it's not taking the ground out from beneath his feet. it's not that he hasn't considered it. it's that he has. he knows all too well how he wants to walk with his arm around your shoulders, how he wants to have you cuddle into his side as you watch a movie, how he wants to absolutely spoil you—as if he has the money for that anyway. "i—"
"you know what? forget i said that. i don't wanna know," you mutter. "just, like, pretend like you're obsessed with me, i don't know."
"hey, lovebirds! you done?" the teacher calls from the front of the classroom.
as clark starts, "oh, we're n—"
you say, "sorry! we're sorry." and then the both of you, red in your faces, stay silent. you barely even move, feeling reprimanded, even though your teacher was barely offended.
when the teacher lets the class work in pairs, clark decides to use the time to talk to you instead. he could do the work later. "can you just give me an idea of what the night's going to look like, at least?"
you take a quick glance at the teacher, making sure her eyes aren't on you and clark. "you'll come over and i'll introduce you as my boyfriend. my parents won't be suspicious, because i'll start bringing it up today. and they won't be too intimidating. my uncle might, but they'll love you. there's something about you that screams 'good guy' and they'll pick up on it." you twirl the pen in your hands. "it'll be fine. you have nothing to worry about, really." clark feels his heart skip a beat when you place your hand on his bicep—which is supposed to be a comforting gesture. what's happening to him? you've touched him before. plenty of times, actually. this shouldn't mean a thing.
a few days later, and clark is taking deep breaths as he walks down the path to your front door. before he can even meet the porch, you're outside, greeting him. he nearly stops in his tracks when he sees you, your hair half up, half down. the dress you're wearing is baby pink, and something about this sight—seeing you so... girly does something to him, even if he won't admit it.
"hi," you say, breaking the awkward silence. "ignore the dress, i'm trying something a little different."
"no, it's good. you look great," he forces. and then, he remembers he's supposed to be your boyfriend, he's allowed to flirt with you. "you look really pretty." he swears he sees your expression change, like you're nervous. it makes his hand tense, and he nearly crushes the stems of the flowers he forgot he's holding. "oh, these are for you."
"thank you. this is..."
"good enough, i hope?"
"better. i knew you wouldn't let me down."
"can't leave my girlfriend hanging, can i?" oh. oh. that gets you. and clark knows it, too.
"uh—" you start, looking at him with what can only be described as a mix of shock and infatuation. "we should go inside."
and as you're walking towards your front door—"i should call you something, shouldn't i?"
"what?" you turn back around, facing him.
"honey," he tries. "no, too mature. babe?" clark watches your reactions carefully, and even though you seem affected, 'babe' doesn't have the punch he was hoping for. "sweetheart?" bingo.
"sweetheart is fine," you mutter, trying to ignore the way your face heats up.
"okay, sweetheart. you ready for this?" you nod, walking towards the door with clark at your side. "what about princess?"
"too much. you can't call me that in front of my family."
"but i can call you that when we're alone?"
"clark!"
"it's just a question, sweetheart," clark teases, fighting back a chuckle. he could do this the rest of his life.

Heart: Christmas
Mapi León x Ingrid Engen x Child!Reader
Summary: Christmas with Sunshine
Tumblr media
"You looking forward to it?" Frido asks as she crouches down at your side in training. "Santa's coming soon. Have your mummies made you write your letter yet?"
You look up from your colouring book, pausing in the movement of dragging the pink crayon over the mermaid picture. "We did them with our teacher," You answer, nodding to yourself as you switch from pink to purple.
"Has it been sent yet?"
You frown. "Where is it meant to go?"
Frido laughs, fondly pushing your hair out of your face. "To the North Pole."
"Oh." You look down at your colouring book. "I've never sent a letter before. Santa always just knows what I want." You rub at your chest, where the Santa Heart from last year beats.
You hadn't needed to write him a fancy letter to send off to the North Pole. He had just known you needed a special new heart like how the doctors knew and how Ingrid and Mapi knew.
He just did and he'd delivered.
He'd gotten you the new heart that's been in your chest for nearly a whole year now.
You frown a little, trying to work your mind through the idea of sending a letter to Santa.
"Does everyone send a letter to him?"
"Oh, yes," Frido says, nodding her head as she hands you the orange crayon you'd pointed at," Everyone."
"Even you?"
"Even me."
"What did you ask him for?"
"I asked...I asked for my boyfriend to cook us some good food?"
You scrawl the orange crayon across the little crab at the corner of the mermaid page. "That's a good idea." You swap your crayon for green to colour in the seaweed. "And everyone has sent their letters already?"
"They have."
"Can I ask what other people asked for?"
"Sure, let's go."
Ingrid smiles from a distance as Frido leads you around the pitch while everyone takes a water break
She can't quite imagine what her and Mapi's life would have been without you now that it's coming up to a year since you had received your new heart.
She can't imagine what would have been different if she hadn't met you in that hospital bed. She can't quite imagine what the team would be like without you around either, a little breath of fresh air with an even smaller camera in your hands clicking away at every possible moment.
The same little hands that hold your favourite camera now tug at Ingrid's shorts until she looks down.
"What did you ask for in your Santa letter?" You ask.
"Huh? My Santa letter?"
"Yeah, Ingrid," Frido says pointedly," The Santa letter that everyone writes and sends off to Santa."
"Oh, yeah!" Ingrid catches on quickly," That Santa letter! Well...I asked Santa to make sure that me, you and your Mami have a good day on Christmas and get to sleep in before presents!"
You nod along with a little furrow in your brow, like you're trying to commit it to memory or something.
You grab onto Ingrid's legs quickly, squeezing them into a hug before hurrying off across the pitch to where Alexia is talking to Irene and Marta - no doubt to ask them the same question.
You don't ever really explain why you went around asking everyone what they wrote in their Santa letters and Ingrid's content to let her curiosity go unquenched with that one.
It's not an overwhelmingly pressing issue to her. It's one she only thinks briefly of when the team come over for a Christmas party before everyone goes home for the holidays.
You're sat at the little coffee table in front of the tv, enraptured by another kid's movie that Alexia's set Mija up next to you to watch.
Mapi sits next to Ingrid on the sofa, filling up her wine glass again when she thinks Ingrid isn't looking.
"Do we think we got her everything she asked for?" Mapi asks, worrying her bottom lip with her teeth," I don't want her to have anything missing from her pile."
"We've got everything," Ingrid assures her," Trust me. Absolutely everything she asked for, we've gotten her."
"Even that Barbie camera that prints off the photos? I don't remember wrapping it! Do you think they'll still have it in the store?" Mapi stands up suddenly, the words flooding out of her mouth so quickly that Ingrid nearly struggles to keep up. "I'll head out now and check. Don't wait up for me. I might be a while."
Ingrid pulls her back down. "My parents got it for her. It's in the pile."
"Definitely?" Mapi checks. "They confirmed it? They bought her the actual one she liked, yeah? Not like a knock off version?"
Ingrid laughs. "They got her the proper one. I checked."
Mapi finally breathes a sigh of relief at that, settling back down into her seat for a moment before slipping off the sofa to join you and Alexia's daughter on the floor with the movie.
"You know I love you right, sunshine?" She mumbles into your hair and you peer back to look at her.
"I know," You say," I love you and Mama too."
"Yeah?"
"Uh-huh! I'm glad Santa gave you to me."
"I'm glad Santa gave you to us too."
You turn then, fully into Mapi's lap as you look at her.
"I wrote a letter to Santa," You say," My teacher helped. Is it too late to send?"
Mapi shakes her head. "It's never too late to send. Why don't you go and get it and me and Mama will get ready to post it?"
The letter is written on a tiny scrap of paper when you return from your bedroom, holding it out in front of you as you wait for Mapi and Ingrid to prepare the envelope for it to go into.
You decorate it with little stickers and Ingrid helps you write Santa's address on it before bundling you up in your coat, hat and scarf to walk down to the post box on the street.
"Mama," You ask," Can you lift me please?"
Ingrid lifts you up easily in her arms so you're just tall enough to reach the post box to slip your letter inside.
"And Santa will get it before Christmas? I'm sorry I left it late," You ask as you're tucked into bed that night.
"You know," Mapi says as she pulls the covers all the way up to your chin," Every night before Christmas, Santa's elves go to all the post boxes in the world to check for his letters and they bring them all back that night!"
"Really?"
"Really," Ingrid agrees, gently locking the door to Starshine and Moonshine's cage," And Santa reads them with a mug of warm milk and cookies so he can prepare for Christmas."
"So he'll be able to make sure he can definitely do what I've asked for?"
Mapi smiles, crossing her fingers and hoping that what you've written in the letter is something that's already been bought for you. "What did you ask for?"
"For everyone else to get what they asked him for. I took it back to school and my teacher helped me write what everyone wanted so Santa doesn't forget."
"You're so sweet," Ingrid says.
"And Santa will make sure everyone gets what they wanted?"
"He will. I'm sure he's so grateful that you reminded him."
You nod, settling down in bed. "Good. No one should be sad on Christmas."

Team Player - How to Fuck Mina 101
Tumblr media
Pt One ← Pt Two → Masterlist
After taking on Mina's challenge of fucking everyone in your friend group, (and getting caugh up with her) you strategically go for the easiest ones first once finally in the club.
Eijirou Kirishima is flustered easily, especially under the bright bar lights. Too sweet for his own good, in an attempt to find the plot again, you show him how Mina likes it.
Tumblr media
Although an hour late, the entire group was together, dressed head to toe in the cutest outfits they'd been waiting to wear. Well, mainly the girls, the guys were just worrying about making sure Katsuki didn't start a fight with anyone.
The moment of truth.. After you gave the group a pep talk, giving them a rundown of all the tips and tricks to lie better. It was kinda scary. You walked up without further hesitation, oddly enough, all the training you'd done was useful for things like sneaking into clubs underage.
Thanks to your confidence, the others' slight uneasiness didn't seem to go noticed. You were in. "Holy shit ! You're scary, (Nickname)”
"Oh shut up" You pushed Kaminaris head out of your space, going right to the bar with Jirou. "I got us in, now enjoy it. Maybe pay me back" You smirked while looking over the strongest and most expensive options containing vodka.
"Well.." Denki looked around, praying the others would end what he started. He was the unemployed friend, surely you guys wouldn't make him pay again..?
"Yeah! Drinks on Denki !" Mina cheered, joining you and Jirou at the barstools. You all held back laughter, the girls turning red. It's been an inside joke to see how long you could make Kaminari pay before totally went broke. Cruel ? Yea. But you still paid your fair share.
Third Year work studies were a different type of exhausting, especially if you qualified to work a job on off days. So it's been a minute since everyone got to catch up, and it was definitely needed.
You listened carefully, cat-like in your analysis. Your plan was to knock Kirishima out of the way, so by the time you were done fucking everyone else, they'd completely ease into their relationship.
You looked back at Mina one last time, asking for permission to actually go at her man. Of course, all you got was a mischievous grin and thumbs up. Fine.
‘This one is for Mina and me in the first year..’
Throughout the night, you got closer and closer to Eijirou. He wasn't drinking tonight. Usually he would, whilst Bakugou drove. But for mysterious reasons, Katsuki decided he was drinking tonight.
It wasn't bad, though. You could make advances on him without any intoxication messing with his head. You drank a bit at first, letting a small buzz take you in. It wasn't nearly where you wanted to be, but now that you knew you could get into places, you just held hope for next time.
You used the impression of you being more intoxicated to test the waters with Eijirou. 'Sorry, Ei! I know this is kinda crazy..’
It was you two alone, against one of the back walls. "Dancing isn't as fun when you're sober" He laughed awkwardly. Usually you'd disagree, finding fun in anything. But even you weren't tipsy enough to look at the wave of sweaty bodies and think joining in was a good idea.
"Yea." You rubbed at your neck. "Well, we don't have to just sit and watch, y'know Kacchan will beat anyone who messes with our girls."
He sighed. "Yea. fuck hope Sero and Kaminari are taking care of him." He leaned more comfortably against the wall.
Here's your chance. "Don't worry, Ei. You know they'll be fine." You linked your arm in his, intertwining your fingers with his. "We don't have to stay here." 'Hes inexperienced, and pent up.’ You were right. He got going real easy.
He seemed shocked, but didnt pull away. Eijirou Kirishima leaned into your touch a bit, his ironically brick colored eyes looking down into yours.. "But Mina."
You sighed, matching his energy tenfold. Your body weight was almost completely against his. To him, it probably felt like fluffy pillow hugging him, but that wasn't the point right now. "Trust me, this is because of, and for, Mina.”
You felt his arm harden slightly, one of the biggest giveaways he was using his quirk to keep it in his pants. You're getting there. He was curious, and clearly not against it. Just in his classic manly way, he wanted to make sure no girls were getting hurt.
But before he could question further-- "Hey guys." Katsuki broke them out of their small personal world sternly. 'Fuck.. He's totally pissed.!" He looked in-between the two, clearly in a mushy position. "Our tables ready."
You probably shouldn't have been surprised. Bakugou never commented or cared for whatever romantic or sexual fling was happening, friend group or not. Still, the fact the pairing didn't surprise him at all was odd.
You thought that, until : While walking to your table, you saw Katsuki give Kirishima a small nod. Oh. This was definitely going to be interrogated out of Kirishima later.
Bright flashing lights, radio station hits with bass that shake the floor, cheap perfume and alcohol mixing together as one smell, the group of seven "22" year olds were appreciating it all.
It should be the best night of their third year! They finally convinced Momo to make them fake IDs, (Thank you Jirou) but even so, there was an unmistakable tension.
Mina and you were always up to something, but this time the vague references and overall suspicious demeanor was setting everyone off more than usual. There was definitely something going on with you two.
This was only solidified when you actually got a booth and sat down. You'd been on about an half hour wait-list, pre gaming at the bar. In that time, you and Mina had already set the tone.
How things usually went when the guys and girls got drunk together, was the go-to pairings :
Kirishima and Mina (Obviously)
Sero and Jirou bullying Kaminari
You and Katsuki
The pairs of two usually had some sort of tension, and it was an obvious sign of intimate stuff. It was an ongoing thing to "cock block" the others who were talking, even if they were talking normally. Its funniest when you tell Katsuki you cockblocked him and lzuku. You just need to run fast enough.
Now at the booth, it was time to finally dial up the heat. You were closest to the wall, Kirishima on your right. Next to him was Jirou. On the other side, you had Mina across from you, and going to your right, was Katsuki, Denki, and Sero.
Jirou was observant, but she wasn't going to freak out over any under the table flirting. She’d definitely just ignore it. The boys who are more.. Never let the group chat forget this happened, thankfully on the other side observing Katsuki and Mina.
A few minutes in, you threw your leg over Eijirous, linking them together. He looked at you, eyes wide. Like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. It was totally wrong, but you thought the dazed look in his eyes was priceless.
He looked away after noticing the look in your eyes, opting to use his larger hand to pull your thigh further up his. Kirishima, despite being awkward and clumsy, was really fucking hot sometimes. Throughout the night, he kept that hand on your thigh.
Even when he drove everyone back to Seros, you calling shotgun next to him. His arm resting on your seat while looking out to back up, his eyes on yours in the mirror, and fuck how he sqoze your thigh harder during turns. You were definitely ready to start.
"Kirishima.." You sighed. You were getting nowhere. The issue was, you totally had a preference, and it was obvious. It was hard for people, especially men who were more sexually weak to break against the dynamic you'd set. "Two bottoms don't make a top, Mina loves herself a bitch boy every now and then but you'll need to take initiative." You huffed. It was almost annoying how perfect he was being.
He whimpered against your lips, his lower body lightly humping against Seros spare mattress. "S.sorry." He apologized, but most importantly, listened. He suddenly slipped two fingers in, and lapped his tongue around your clit.
"Fuck, Eijirou." You gripped his hair, pulling him in closer. "That's good. Mina likes when you start around the clit and focus in as she gets closer.!"
He hummed, seeming genuinely in awe. He was already totally whipped for pussy. "Like this ?" He took a break in, and flicked his tongue in a precise circle. When you gasped, he took the second to lightly pace his fingers in and out.
Your cheeks lifted up in a big grin. "You're doing amazing, Eijirou ! Similar to the clit, Mina enjoys when her g spot is just barely touched until the last moment. Make it a waiting game as long as possible."
Despite keeping your mind focused on the bigger picture, your body was getting heavier and hotter.
Midriff down, it felt as if a hot, damn towel was placed over your body.
Eijirou kept his fingers going, getting faster and faster every time he went in and out. His tongue kept getting closer and closer to where it was going to feel unbearably the best. "I think I understand.. now.. wanna make you come how you like it.." His head lifted up, unintentionally edging you. Oh, sweet Kiri. You definitely understand. You didn't have the heart to tell him, though.
You wondered about not what would only make you feel best, but what would be the hottest for a virgin and surprise for Mina. Though, your best idea did happen to be one of your favorites. "Kirishima, you're strong, right?”
His eyes widened, and a stark innocence shined. "Super strong ! I can do anything !!" You smiled and patted at his hair. He was being so good, how could you not?
"You're perfect, Eijirou." You leaned in, brushing your lips against the shell of his ear. "I think I have everything planned out now, you just need to tell me if it's too much."
So that's how you ended up here. In the process of getting your best friend to fuck your other best friend, you had your legs spread out, hips sat heavy on Eijirou's mouth. You weren't sure if this was too much to start with at first, but it seemed to do the trick.
This definitely got Kirishima to take initiative, with the way his hands gripped at your ass and kept everything spread for him. The way he rocked you against his face, making you ride his tongue. He kept thrusting it in, mimicking the way you told him to tease before directly attacking. Fuck, hes a fast learner.
Your hands were tangled in his hair again, and you felt comfortable moving yourself against his face after some convincing (begging). Heat was surging back through you, and every hump made the weight drop deeper and heavier in your lower abdomen. "Kiri.. fuck.. I think I'm gonna.."
In a move you hadn't expected, Kirishima maneuvered his mouth to suck at your clit suddenly. It wasn't too harsh, but the perfect strength to send you flying over the edge. A hot wave seemed to rush through and out of you, squeezing your body in its path. He definitely passed this lesson..
You lifted yourself from his face, letting yourself take pleasure in watching him pant, breath shaky and higher pitched. His sweaty chest rose and fell, muscles unfairly taking up your entire focus. Freshman year you knew what was up.
"That.. was so good.. you're so good, " You leaned back on his lap, pleased when you felt how hard he was. He was fully there and past, his balls felt like they needed to come yesterday.
You looked up at him again, asking for permission. “Are you ready, Ei ?” In hindsight, it's funny how softly you asked. Because the way he fucked you when he finally got to put it in, was anything but. What can you say, though ? That's how Mina likes it.
Despite how good the stretch felt, and even though Kirishima had defied every idea you had of him, you dreaded how your legs would feel tomorrow. They were once again, spread as far as they could, perched up in the air while Kirishima’s strong form held you up while he bounced you against him.
"'Oh god.. fuck please."' his hips were snapping furiously into your soft spot, his eyes watering while he tightened his hands harder and harder around your smaller hips. Kirishima doesn't think he's ever felt this good.
"Please, my hand doesn't ever feel this good, this doesn't happen when i fuck into my pillow.. fuck please i need this." your thighs were pressed up between your body and his, your ankles and arms wrapped around his neck. he was fucking into you upright, gravity pulling your hips to naturally sit balls deep against his cock.
You smiled softly against his neck. He was so cute like this. He was fucking you like it was the end of the world, like he needed to break you in order to survive. But his eyes were so soft, voice so whimpery. Hands shaking, whining about how good you felt. “Go on, Kirishima. I already taught you how to put the condom on, so it's okay.”
His tip pushed roughly against your cervix, it was starting to feel overwhelming and you doubted you would come again after your last orgasm, but the loom on Kirishima's face when he got to cum after a night of teasing was worth it the sore legs the next week.
“Yes.. fuck.. thank you..” His hips stopped while deep in yours, and you felt the condom get noticeably warmer. His head fell into your chest, drool slightly dripping from his mouth onto your sternum.
“You did good, Kirishima. Now go man up to Mina and show her what you can do !” The previously fucked out and sleepy redhead shot up, his fist pumping through the air.
“Yea !! I'm going to show her how manly I am now !!” He rushed to pull his pants back on, but in the post dick daze you almost forgot something.
Just as he was about to exit, you stopped him. “Wait, by the way !” He looked back, expectantly. You held out a glass of water, with a lemon slice stuck into the rim. “Remember, Mina loves citrus after sex.”

Sirius Black x Reader
WC: ~1.3k
Summary: Pool side at the Potters, Sirius takes you for a swim.
The summer sun hung lazily in the sky above the sprawling Potter Manor, casting long, warm shadows over the garden. The large pool glistened invitingly, its clear waters sparkling under the light. You and Lily had spent most of the afternoon lounging by the pool, watching as James and Sirius made a fool of themselves, attempting to play an American sport, touch football. Perhaps it was your playful comments you made about your home country being a bit too intense for the British boys that drove them to the down right sad display.
Especially with just two of them, Peter inside helping Euphemia in the kitchen and Remus actually enjoying the pool, talking to you.
Remus was in the shallow end, leaning against the edge of the pool, his arms resting casually on the ledge as he looked over at you and Lily. His hair was damp, and a gentle smile played on his lips as he listened to the banter happening poolside. Every now and then, he would glance over to where James and Sirius were, both of them attempting to toss a football back and forth, their movements clumsy and completely lacking coordination.
Lily shook her head, a smile tugging at her lips as she watched James scramble to catch the ball, only for it to slip through his fingers yet again. "Honestly, it's like watching a pair of toddlers learning how to walk," She said with a laugh, her sunglasses perched on her nose as she leaned back on her lounge chair.
You grinned, nodding in agreement as you glanced over at Remus, who gave you a knowing smile. "I don't think I've ever seen two people so determined to be so bad at something.” You added, shaking your head, the laughter bubbling up in your chest.
Remus chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You know, I think they're convinced that if they just keep at it long enough, they'll somehow master it," He mused, his voice carrying that warmth and dry humor he always had.
You shook your head, unable to hide your grin as James let out a frustrated groan, turning to Sirius. "Pads, you've got to catch it properly!" He complained, hands on his hips, the football lying at his feet.
Sirius, ever the dramatic, threw his hands up in the air. "Prongs, I’m not built for this! Give me a broomstick any day of the week- this is madness!" He shot you a look, his eyes narrowing playfully. "You Yanks and your weird sports."
"Excuses, excuses," You tutted, lifting your drink to your lips, the cold condensation a welcome relief against the summer heat. "Maybe I should go over there and show you how it's done, Black."
Remus let out a laugh, shaking his head. "Now that's something I'd pay to see."
Lily giggled, nodding in agreement. "Yes, please. Put them out of their misery."
Sirius shot you a wicked grin, his eyes alight with that familiar mischief. "Oh, yeah? You think you could take me, love?" He called out, jogging over to the poolside, his hair tousled from running around. He put his hands on his hips, giving you a challenging look.
You rolled your eyes, shaking your head. "You can't even catch a football, Sirius. I don't think I'd need to try very hard."
His grin widened, that playful glint turning into something more dangerous, something that had your heart skipping a beat. He took a step closer, leaning down towards you, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "You know, you talk a big game... but I don't think you'd have the guts to get in that pool."
You raised an eyebrow, trying to keep your cool. "Is that a dare, Black?"
His eyes twinkled, and he gave you a slow nod. "It is, actually. I dare you to get in that pool right now."
You leaned back in your chair, shaking your head with a laugh. "Not a chance, pretty boy. I'm not oblivious, I know you just want to see me cold and wet.” You smirked and his pale cheeks flushed a slight red. You rolled your eyes as his smirk grew wolffish.
Sirius grinned, straightening up, the mischief dancing in his eyes. "Oh, is that it?" He asked, voice dripping with playful challenge. "You think I won't actually make you get in that pool?"
You crossed your arms, tilting your head up at him defiantly. "I think you can't," You shot back. "You may talk big, but you're all bark and no bite, Black."
His eyes narrowed slightly, and you could almost see the wheels turning in his head. "You know what, darling?" He took a step closer, a hint of something daring in his gaze. "You just made a very dangerous dare."
You blinked, your smile faltering slightly as he lunged towards you, grabbing you around the waist. You let out a startled shriek, scrambling against his grip, but Sirius was strong and determined, his laughter filling your ears as he hoisted you off the lounge chair.
"Sirius!" You yelled, your laughter mingling with your protests as you tried to wriggle free. He ignored your struggling, carrying you towards the edge of the pool, his grin growing wider as he approached the water.
Lily and Remus both burst into laughter, Lily clapping her hands in delight as she watched the scene unfold. "Oh, there she goes!" Lily exclaimed, shaking her head. Remus leaned forward on the edge of the pool, his smile wide and eyes filled with amusement.
"Sirius, don't you dare-" You started, but it was too late. With one swift motion, Sirius dropped you into the pool. You hit the water with a splash, the cold enveloping you instantly. You resurfaced, gasping and sputtering, your hair plastered to your face.
"You absolute git!" You shouted, but the laughter bubbled up despite the shock. Sirius, still fully clothed, gave you a mock bow from the pool's edge.
"And now," He said, winking, "I’m an equal-opportunity swimmer." With that, he jumped in right after you, landing beside you with a splash.
You turned to him, eyes narrowed. "You’re impossible, you know that?" You muttered, but there was a smile tugging at your lips.
Sirius grinned, his dark hair now dripping wet, his eyes glistening with a mix of triumph and warmth. He swam closer to you, his face softening as he looked at you. "And yet, you still love me, don't you?" He teased, though there was a genuine question in his eyes, a vulnerability he rarely showed.
You sighed, rolling your eyes dramatically, but there was no hiding the affection in your voice. "Maybe. But if you ever throw me in again, I swear I'll hex you."
He smirked, inching even closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “I think I could get you to forgive me, though.” Before you could reply, he leaned in and pressed his lips to yours, a kiss that was both gentle and full of intensity.
When he finally pulled away, you glared at him, your heart pounding in your chest. “You can’t just… kiss me to win a fucking argument, Sirius!” You sputtered, your voice filled with exasperation.
Sirius grinned, his eyes twinkling as he shrugged. “You’re right,” He said, not even trying to hide his smugness, “but did it work?”
You opened your mouth to argue, but the warmth in his eyes and the curve of his smile made your words falter. A reluctant smile tugged at your lips, and you huffed, shoving him lightly. “You’re such a prat.”
Sirius laughed, his arm coming around your waist, pulling you close in the water. "Maybe. But I'm your prat," He murmured, his forehead resting against yours.
You huffed, splashing him with the water, but you didn’t pull away. The sun continued to shine above you, the sound of Lily and Remus's laughter mingling with yours, and for a moment, everything felt light, simple, and blissfully free- just two people lost in the warmth of summer and each other.
You wished it could stay like this forever.

simon having beef with your dog.
Tumblr media
the thing hates him, he's sure. he's been aware of the fact ever since the first time it jumped up at him, indulging itself with a nice helping of his brand new jeans.
"oh my god!" you gaped at his jeans with horror, immediately scooping the offending animal into your arms. even within its confines, the creature still manages a growl that simon swears is nothing less than evil.
between the sweet apologizes falling from your lips and the way your eyes widened in embarrassment, simon unsurprisingly found it difficult to stay mad. after fixing him a change of clothes and apologizing profusely for your pet's behavior, you urged your pet into its play pen to prevent her from ruining the rest of the night. she stared up at you with wide eyes, letting out a pitiful whine as she was obviously not used to being locked up.
though the inner dog-lover in him should be feeling a twinge of guilt at the sight, simon couldn't deny a sense of victory.
at least now, they were even.
they used to be even. used to. his score was ultimately decimated after countless incidents of your dog peeing all over his boots, stealing his food, and gnawing it's way through the souvenirs he brought for you from missions.
why the thing hates him so much is beyond him. ever since the first incident, he's tried every bribery method under the sun. from endless treats to long walks in her favorite park, all his attempts ended the same way: with his hand being damn near ripped off his arm.
after weeks of no progress, you had brought up the idea of meeting at his place instead. simon refused. he couldn't handle the thought of you traveling the hour it takes to get to his apartment, just to see him. after all, if he could handle countless hordes of enemies and disarm bombs, he sure as hell could handle some dog.
which of course, brings him to his current predicament.
after a particularly long deployment, you've taken the liberty of planning a special welcome home dinner for him and his task force. nothing big, just a small gathering to celebrate a reunion between friends as well as a job well done.
you insisted on doing all the work of preparing the food and letting him relax on the couch. it was a dinner in celebration of him as well, after all. the very last thing simon wanted was to leave you to do all the work, but if he was going to do anything about your dog, he had to do it now.
because even though he'd call his task force some of the closest friends he has, he pales at the idea of them finding out that a dog has him beat. he can already imagine how they'll react: a (horribly) stifled laugh from price, a smart jab from gaz, and an unashamed guffaw from johnny. and of course, the endless amounts of taunting that'll be flowing throughout the base. yeah, that's not going to happen. least of all, in front of his girl.
he approaches the play pen which houses your dog slowly, attempting to seem as unintimidating as he can for someone of his stature. your pet immediately takes notice--has had an eye laser pointed on him since the moment he arrived--and starts up a low growl.
"hey..girl..." he greets awkwardly, crouching down in a manner that allows his every action to be observed. it's evident that your dog couldn't be less happy with his presence, with the way she moves to the opposite end of the enclosure. he sighs, dropping onto the floor next to the pen and wincing at the slight pain shooting up his tailbone.
"why d'ya hate me so much, huh?" your dog huffed, closing her eyes and assuming a sleeping position. simon didn't even know dogs were capable of the silent treatment. unfazed, he pushes on, speaking to the dog as if it miraculously developed the ability to understand him.
"all i wanna do is spend time with my girl, and all you do is try to make me look like the bad guy." he shoots her an unimpressed look. "it's not like i'm gonna take her away, y'know."
to simon's surprise, the dog rises and begins to slowly approach him and for once, without utter disdain in her eyes. simon really didn't expect that to work, but he supposes he doesn't have any room to complain. he gulps -- he's never made it this far before. carefully, he raises a big hand up to stroke over the dog's soft fur.
in a flash, the canine snaps her teeth onto the surface of his skin. hard.
"fuck--!" he snarls, snatching his hand away. at that moment, the doorbell rings and he cradles his aching hand to his chest. he stands up, glaring hard at the animal as he goes to answer the door.
"hey, there's my favorite girl!" johnny pushes past him and beelines for the play pen, where your dog is excitedly standing on its hind legs to greet him. simon's never seen her tail wag so fast. she eagerly yips for him to come closer, bowing to allow him to scratch behind her ears.
"oh, and hey to you too, i guess." johnny briefly nods in acknowledgement in your direction. you playfully roll your eyes, giggling at his display.
"simon. 's good to see you." price offers a brief nod, and kyle pats him on the shoulder before they both walk around him to join johnny at the play pen. the dog takes to the rest of his team just as easily, greeting them all with tail wags and licks to the hand.
simon riley is at a loss.

"Babe. Go home?" Eunchae says over the phone while you pack some things up. You were the only one out of your friends who stayed behind to finish up a few things and get ahead before the storm rolled in. The rest of your friends were smart enough to leave, and now, you were stuck on campus until [god knows when] the storm would settle.
"Chae, I literally think I'm stuck here. I didn't leave early enough." You sigh and head towards the window, watching as the rain continues to pour, the wind howling and beating against the glass.
"Why don't you wait it out for a few and then dart out as soon as it stops? I'm sure we'll get a quick break from the storm."
"I'm scared to drive out in this rain. What if it traps me out on the road?" You groan. "I should've left earlier but I had to take care of some stuff in the lab before the storm came in just in case. I didn't want it to set me back."
"Is the building staying strong? Back up generators and all still pulling through?"
"Yeah, thankfully—" As if you had just jinxed it, the lights suddenly shut off in your studio— the lights in surrounding rooms also going out. The street lights are out.
Everything is dark and cold.
"Oh, fuck. Nevermind." You whine and pretend to cry.
"What, the lights went out?!"
"Yeah. I think the backup generators might've tripped out."
"Girl, get your ass home. Who knows when they'll start investigating and working on that?"
"I should've left yesterday. I should've just listened to my gut!"
"But no, you had to go and be my 'lil overachiever." The both of you hear your emails ding— the internet in the building going out, leaving you with choppy service. "Oop, there goes the university message about the backup generator getting blown out for residence halls."
"Save me."
"Babe, just wait it out and get outta there. I'm sure it'll be fine when you drive home later, okay? Text me if anything. I can force my stepbrother to come and rescue you if needed."
"No, no. It's fine. I'll be okay."
"Okay, be safe for now. Love you!"
"Love you, too!" You let out another small breath as you sit in front of your half-packed weekender bag. You continue to pack your things, finalizing the last bits of the necessities needed so you can dash out of here the moment the storm calms—
Whenever that is.
You set your bag aside, along with your jacket and shoes before plopping onto your couch to try and get some work done through your phone's hotspot. But, it doesn't last for long when the videos you need to watch won't play and your data won't upload properly. You check the weather to see if there are any gaps in the rain coming soon, but to your luck, there are none.
In fact, it only sounds like the rain will get worse until tomorrow afternoon.
"Fuck." You whine to yourself, feeling scared and alone without your friends around to keep you company.
Had you listened to your gut and let your work sit for a minute, you wouldn't be in this predicament.
You try to busy yourself by lighting up some candles, spreading it out within your studio from the kitchen table to your nightstand. You go from trying to take notes under the dim candlelight, to laying in your bed trying to warm up.
Suddenly, a text comes through on your phone. You weren't expecting anything to come through with how shitty and inconsistent the service has been. You grab your phone, assuming it was one of your friends or your mom checking in on you.
You did not think it'd be Choi San.
san: hope you're staying warm and safe, y/n.
Your heart drops and you immediately don't know what to do. Should you respond? Should you continue ignoring him, continue to force yourself to act like San doesn't mean much to you?
Erase that part of your life?
After all these months, he still has the same effect on you. No matter how hard you try to hide it, your feelings for him haven't gone anywhere.
you: trying to. i hope you are too.
He doesn't answer right away, but that's only because he wasn't expecting a response. He was fully convinced you hated him since the last time you spoke, yet that hasn't stopped him from thinking about you every single day. Especially now, when the storm is at its peak. You're alone, and he's alone. He misses you.
He's pulled out of his thoughts when you follow up with another text, and he almost feels like this could be a window to talk to you and see how you've been doing. He's been itching to talk to you again.
you: do you have power?
san: i do. do you need anything? just saw the university message about part of the residence halls being out of power.
you: um, no. i think i'm okay.
san: you sure? did they say when it'll come back up?
you: no clue.
san: you can hang out here if you want. i'll give you space.
you: i'll think about it. thank you for offering, though.
san: course. let me know. i was actually hoping we could talk at some point.
You pout a bit, setting your phone aside as you try to lean back against your headboard and continue studying. You try to get your mind off of San, believing you can hold out until tomorrow when the rain smoothes over and the storm passes. The longer the power continues to stay off, the colder it gets. The harder the rain and wind get, the more you hate being alone.
What did San need to talk about?
Your curiosity definitely got to the best of you because even though you don't entirely think you're ready for whatever San has up his sleeve, you pick up your phone to text him back anyway. You don't wanna be alone, and even if you don't wanna admit it right now, you'd rather be with him than here.
you: but, it's pretty crazy outside. you'd drive in this?
san: well, yeah. it's tapering off for a bit anyway. do you want me to come?
you: okay.
san: i'll be there in about 15 minutes.
you: pls be careful.
san: i will, love.
You sigh, pinching at your bottom lip to try and understand your feelings right now. Were you excited? Were you nervous? Were you regretting this?
Should you tell him to not leave? Change your mind?
You're so conflicted that it takes up all your time— up until the very moment that San is texting you that he's in his usual spot. A wave of nostalgia washes over you, and obviously, it's too late to turn back now no matter how nervous you are.
You throw on your huge puffer jacket, throwing on the hood from your hoodie over your head while grabbing your weekender bag, along with your school bag to try and get some work done at San's house. Might as well be productive in a warm place with running hot water, heat and lights.
San is right about the rain; it's a lot lighter than it was earlier, but you know it won't last for long. You hurriedly walk over as the rain continues to fall, swinging his door open and plopping yourself into the passenger's seat— slightly getting the leather wet.
"Hey."
"Hi." You say softly as you settle in, lowering the hood from your face. San feels like his heart is beating out of his chest while he watches you from the side, turning to throw your things in the back before looking at him. "Was it hard driving over?"
"No."
"Hm, okay." You hum.
"How's it been?"
"Fine, I guess."
"You guess?"
"I don't know what you want me to say."
"Heard you're in the final stages for your transfer to Mirae. Namjoon says it's been crazy busy for you because you're trying to wrap things up before you leave."
"Oh, right." You look down at your hands. "Yeah. Yeah, he's right." You pause. "It has been busy that I've barely had time for myself. All worth in the end, I guess."
"Excited?"
"Not sure yet. I will be, I think."
"Mm. That's great, Y/N. You deserve it." You look at him and furrow your brows before scoffing a bit.
"So, that's it? We're just gonna act like things are fine because you're coming to my rescue during a storm?"
"No, that's not it at all." San looks at you, almost matching your energy. "First of all, I was worried about you. Second, I just wanted to check in and then apologize. Is that so wrong of me to do?"
"You don't have to do all that."
"Well, I want to."
"Apologize for what?" You look directly outside of the windshield, listening and watching as the rain hits the glass harshly.
"The texts and the calls during Mingi's birthday at the bar."
"It's fine."
"Was it? You were kinda brushing me off."
"The last time we spoke before that, you broke up with me and we didn't necessarily part ways on a friendly note."
"I wanted to, but you were angry."
"You decided what was best for me. Without me." You cross your arms and look out the window, feeling the hot tears brimming your lids.
"I didn't come and pick you up to argue." He sighs when he sees the switch in your body language. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry because I know I was out of line and I shouldn't have done things that way. I did mean it, though. Everything I said to you that night. What happened that night didn't mean—"
"What is the point of this, San?" You begin to cry into your hands while sitting in the seat. "I don't know what you want."
"Baby, you know what I want."
"Stop." You whine a bit. "I don't know what you want."
"You. It's always been you." He shakily sighs, his own tears brimming his lids. "I'm sorry, I just— I didn't mean to hurt you, love. You know I didn't. I know you've been angry about it, but I was just trying to do what was best at the time. I was scared, and I didn't want anything to happen to you so I jumped. Baby, please know that." His eyes are burning up, cheeks slightly rosy as he looks at you with concern. With hurt.
With love.
"San, you make this so complicated." You whine as you dig your head into your hands as a dull headache comes on.
"I'm not trying to, sweetheart." He almost matches your tone, gaining frustration from the entire situation all over again. It isn't you, no. It's just the fact that he had to do what he needed to do in order to blow shit over, but that meant spending months away from you— the one person wanted and needed.
You're pulled out of your own thoughts when the rain starts to pick up again, pounding against the windshield and windows like pellets. You sigh and shake your head, running your hand through your hair.
"Can we just not.. right now? The storm is gonna pick up again, maybe I should just head back—"
"You can stay at mine. I'll give you space like I promised. Who knows when the generators will be back up." He starts up his car and you don't even protest. "Do you want me to stop by anywhere before heading to the house?"
"It's crazy out here, San. We should just get back to the house." He sighs a bit.
"I'll make you some ramen when we get back." You quietly sit back and watch as San safely navigate the incredibly wet and dangerous roads back to his house. Luckily, it isn't far from campus, and your anxiety lowers when he gets closer to his place. Just as you're about to turn onto his street, the storm picks up quick— the rain hitting the car harshly, making it hard to see through the windshield. But, San finally pulls into his garage, allowing you to release the breath you've been holding during the car ride.
You feel safe again.
You feel safe like you typically do when you're with San. Angry or not— San has always been a safe space for you.
He swings your door open after grabbing your things in the back, giving you space to step out and walk ahead of him. It feels so familiarly unfamiliar walking into his house after months of not doing so, but everything feels the same. It still feels.. safe. Comfortable.
It looks the same.
"It's warm."
"Good." San chuckles a bit before nodding towards upstairs. "I'll take you to the guest bedroom so you can get comfortable and do whatever you need to do." You nod and follow San upstairs, trying to see if anything has changed. But, nothing has.
He swings the door open and the bed is still neatly made with its light grey, fluffy duvet, matching sheets and pillowcases. You quietly set your things down while San backtracks out into the hallway.
"Let me grab you a towel." You nod, starting to go through your bag to change into the pajamas you brought— some old christmas pants and an oversized sweater. San comes back into the room with a towel, placing it gently on the edge of the bed. "Here."
"Thank you." You grab the towel, along with your travel pouch and clothes, and head to the guest bathroom to get washed up. You're setting your things down onto the counter when you hear San approaching. He's carrying something in his hand, welcoming himself into the bathroom.
"I, um, have this." San brings a basket full of skincare and hair products that you use. "I took note of the stuff you use so you wouldn't have to keep hauling it over. You know.. back then." You turn to him, surprised he got every detail right.
"San."
"It's not a big deal."
"Yeah, it is. Thank you."
"Course. Do you need anything else?"
"No. This is perfect." He nods.
"I'll be downstairs." You give him a tiny smile before he walks out and shuts the door to leave you to your peace. You take a moment to go through the basket that San brought in, feeling your heart swell at how incredibly attentive he's always been.
You miss him so badly, and he's just in the room below.
You shake off the thoughts in your head, stepping into the piping hot shower to finally release all stress and overthinking. You take your time being that San's power seems to be holding on strong, and you're not gonna lie, his shower feels amazing after the busy ass weeks you've been having. You step out after a good 30-mins of extra lathering, exfoliation and scrubbing, really giving yourself the self-care treatment you've been yearning for. You finish up your routine by lotioning up and brushing some treatment through your hair before changing into your pajamas. You step into the room to fix your things, grabbing your laptop and gently tossing it on the bed so you can slowly pick up where you left off earlier—
"Nice pajamas." San stands by the door with a bowl and water in his hands, making you roll your eyes.
"I was supposed to head to my mom's, not yours." You pout and it makes San bite his lip to prevent himself from teasing you even more about your mickey mouse Christmas pajamas. "Don't make fun of me."
"No, it's cute." He sets the bowl of ramen on the nightstand near the bed. "Made you a bowl."
"Thank you." He nods.
"I'm gonna be next door in my office to finish up some things. Will you be okay in here?"
"Yeah, I will be."
"Well, you're welcome to pop in if you need anything. Help yourself to anything downstairs, too. You can just leave the bowl in the dishwasher."
"No worries. Thank you, San." You say softly as you sit on the edge of the bed. He nods and locks eyes with you for a moment, a soft gaze on his face before he grabs at the door handle. He slowly shuts the door, almost pained having to do so.
He wishes he didn't have to, he wishes he didn't have to keep this door between you two. Those walls.
And you do, too. But, you're too scared to say it. Because if you say it, how will you overcome these feelings? You shouldn't even be here in the first place since you've done so well minding your own business while burying your feelings for San. You've done so well, and now, you're here. Threatening to reverse all of that work. You just weren't sure where this would take you two and the uncertainty kills you.
In the end, what if it just never really works out? What would've all of this been for?
You shake the thoughts out of your head, eating the delicious ramen San made you before chugging most of your water bottle. It gives you enough energy to power through the work you couldn't complete earlier in your studio due to the power going out. You can hear San hopping on a few phone calls, one being with Jongho. You hear San's deep voice talking through a lot of key points during some of these calls. You try to focus your way through most of your work, trying to ignore how awfully attractive San sounds through the walls.
Then, it gets quiet. And you know he's busying himself, too.
When in reality, San is wondering when he could talk to you a little more. He can't stop thinking about how cute you look in those pajamas. How much he just wanted to hug you and hold you close.
To just be with you.
But instead, he lets out an audible sigh and continues working on his presentation for this meeting coming up for a new grant he's close to being rewarded. It takes him about another 45 minutes before he's done for the evening. He shuts off his computer and fixes his desk before heading out of his office to get cozy.
You don't really hear San moving around as much, so you figured he was deep in his work that you could head downstairs, clean up your dishes and grab another water bottle for the night. When you swing the door open, the door to San's office is open, and so is the room. You don't see San around, but you do faintly hear the shower going. You quietly shut the door and head down the steps with the dishes and empty water bottle in hand, instantly tossing the bottle into San's recycling bin. You wash the dishes instead of leaving them in the dishwasher, setting them neatly on San's drying rack next to the sink. Afterward, you dig into San's fridge for a new water bottle, quickly eyeing how stocked his fridge is.
"Hey." He looks at you as he comes down the steps slowly, running a small towel across his wet hair. Your eyes can't help but fall to his bare chest for a short moment, a shirt hanging on his broad shoulder. "Sorry, wasn't expecting you to be down here right at this moment." You shut the fridge door.
"Just wanted to grab some more water and wash your dishes." He nods.
"Is it too cold for you upstairs? Do you want me to turn up the heat?"
"No, it's alright. Thanks." He brushes past you, the scent of his body wash lingering in the air. He digs into the fridge and pulls out his own water bottle before twisting the cap open and taking a sip. You find yourself stuck in your position until thunder roars outside, lightning following shortly afterward.
"Jeez." San says, looking at the weather outside. "Yeah, you definitely wouldn't be having a good time at your place in this."
"Not at all." He cocks his head to the side, trying to read the quiet tone you respond with.
"You scared of thunder?"
"No." You look at him with a look. "Not really." He cocks a brow up, still shirtless a few feet away from you. "Kinda. It's just really loud." He chuckles a bit.
"Well, you're safe here." You silently nod.
"Aren't you cold or something?" You avoid eye contact as you take another sip of your water.
"Not really. Why? Is this bothering you?" He smirks a bit and you roll your eyes.
"Please."
"Just curious." Is all he says with the smirk still on his face while taking another sip. You should be heading upstairs to mind your own business and sleep, distancing yourself from San like you had originally planned.
But, you can't.
And he can tell.
He stands in the kitchen, watching as you pause in your steps, turning back to face him.
"San?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I.. ask you something then?"
"What's up?" He gently sets his bottle back down, slipping into his t-shirt. Finally, you think. It's hard when your attraction to him hasn't faded one bit.
"About that night.. with Zara."
"Oh." He simply says, leaning against the counter. "What about that night?"
"Did you mean that part?" You step closer to him. "You know, about the kiss."
"I did. It shouldn't have happened in the first place, and there was just a misunderstanding between us. I never meant to lead her on or anything, but I think she might've mistaken my actions for feelings."
"Oh." He sees you deflate a bit and he reaches out to brush your hair back. He does it slow, though. In case you don't want him near you, or you retract. But, you don't. You look at him like you've been needing him the same way he's needed you, and it relaxes him a bit.
"Y/N, I promise. It didn't mean anything. She kissed me first and I didn't really have time to react right away. It sounds stupid, and I was drunk. But, it meant nothing to me. And I told her the truth." His hand rests on your cheek and you lean into his touch. "Even throughout all of that, I just felt even more.. lonely and empty without you, I didn't really know how to cope with it."
"It made me feel like you two had something going on."
"No." He says softly. "I'm sorry, angel. I didn't mean to make you sad or upset over that." You pull away from his touch and look down at your feet.
"That's okay."
"Is it?" You nod. "I'm sorry for the way I came off that night, too. I didn't mean to overwhelm you or anything."
"That's okay, San." You respond close to a whisper.
"I thought you were done with me."
"No. I've just been doing what you insisted in the first place." He sighs, his hand dropping down from your cheek.
Things shouldn't be this complicated, and he's afraid he doesn't care much about the repercussions anymore. Time has passed, and his feelings haven't changed.
It shouldn't be like this.
"Anyway. Should probably head back upstairs." There's a sense of defeat in your tone and San can feel it, too. He simply nods, fighting with himself to gain the courage to just ask you to join him in bed tonight so you can talk, catch up.
So he can say sorry.
So he can get you back.
Because that's all he wants, and that's all he's ever cared for.
Why he chose today in particular, he isn't sure. But, the storm, the gloomy days and the rain all reminded him of the way he'd be feeling lately and how tired he was of it.
San quietly follows you up the steps, every step closer and closer to shattering through the invisible glass floor he walks on.
Fuck this.
"Hey. Why don't you—" San begins, but it comes out at the same exact time you hit him with the—
"Actually. Is it okay if I join you?" The both of you pause, looking at each other with a sort of need, a sort of long time longing and yearning.
"You sure?"
"Mhm."
"Yeah, of course." You rub at your arm as you slowly walk into the room after him, awkwardly standing at the end of his bed as if you hadn't slept there before. "You can get comfortable, Y/N. You don't have to do that."
"Sorry, it's just been awhile."
"That's okay." He pulls back the covers and gives you a moment to slip in before he does. He adjusts a bit, making sure to leave some space in between in case you were uncomfortable, but the distance only has you feeling empty. Lonely. "Gotta make sure the thunder doesn't get you."
"Funny." You turn to him and glare, making him laugh a bit. The photo on his nightstand catches your attention— it's a photo you two took on your trip to the Baskin Conference. He must have caught on because his eyes travel down to the photo and he smiles toothlessly.
"It's my favorite picture."
"It's mine, too." You respond softly while looking at San in front of you. His eyes are roaming around, eyeing your features. "So, are you and Zara still friends?" He shrugs.
"I don't really know. I haven't talked to her. It's pretty awkward and I know I hurt her, so I don't know if she necessarily wants me around."
"Sorry."
"Don't be."
"She's always had it for you, San. And I almost thought you two were better off. I thought it'd end up that way when we broke up." He shakes his head.
"Nah. I've only been concerned about one person and that has never changed since everything happened." He says, close to a whisper. His hand comes to your cheek again, gently caresses the surface with his thumb. The space in between you two feels so cold, and it makes you realize you don't wanna be this far from San.
You don't want anything to keep you two apart anymore.
"I wanna talk to you about that day, too. When we were in the car."
"Okay."
"There were so many things happening that I just needed to protect you from." He brushes the hair away from your face. "Please know that I never wanted it to happen, and that I never had any plans to leave. I just had to do what was right because I was scared for you first and foremost. I didn't want you to get hurt, I didn't want anything to happen to you."
"I know, San. I'm sorry." You whisper. "I was too hurt to realize it at first, but I know you were just trying to protect me and do what was best." He licks his lips and continues to maintain eye contact.
"But, trust me. I wouldn't have if I truly didn't have to, angel. You were and have always been the most important person. That hasn't changed." You lean into his touch, turning your head to gently lay a kiss on the palm of his hand— scooting into his arms when he pulls you into them.
And it feels like home all over again.
"San."
"Yeah, love?"
"I don't wanna do this anymore."
"I don't either." You feel the tears welling up in your lids, a few already streaking down your cheeks. The only difference this time around is that San is here to wipe it away, to comfort you, to physically reassure you that he has always been here regardless of the circumstances.
"I'm tired of crying over you, I'm tired of missing us."
"I hated seeing you cry. I don't want you to cry."  He whispers.
"Then, what're we supposed to do, San?" You ask at a whisper and he continues to cup your cheek.
"You're transferring, love. Things will change, and I don't think it'll be as bad as it was before."
"I know, but we shouldn't be reckless anymore. Regardless if I'm transferring."
"I won't. We won't. I can't keep going like this, baby. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I don't wanna do it anymore." He shakes his head. "I can't lose you for good. I can't."
"You won't."
"Good, cause I don't plan to." He says lowly, caressing your cheek before bringing your lips to his for a sweet, soft kiss.
You missed this, and you missed San. And your body must have too, because it reacts instantly to his touch. His kiss.
He holds you close, his body heat keeping you warm under the sheets. He cups your cheek and presses soft, feathery kisses to your eye, cheek.
Nose.
Lips.
"Missed you, sweetheart."
"Missed you too, Sannie."
"Yeah?" He whispers, continuing to plant sweet kisses across your face, down your neck.
Soon, your shirt is off and so is San's. He takes his time caressing your body, feeling every inch that he can.
Lips gently dragging across your skin like a paintbrush against the canvas; painting you with sweet, love marks— kisses that are meant to close and heal each wound from the past months.
You and San take your time indulging in each other. The kisses are slow, the touches are gentle. The actions are sweet. He hovers over you, careful not to put his entire weight down while he kisses down to your chest— tongue swirling around your perked buds one at a time before gently pulling back with a pop. His thumb is slowly rubbing at your heat as he continues his trail down, two digits slipping in just to feel how wet you are for him— how ready you are for him. His lips are grazing yours as he slightly picks up the pace; just enough for you to feel his fingers curling at the right spots, dragging them in and out at a overwhelmingly pleasurable pace to start you off.
He takes his time. His focus is on you, not himself.
When you beg him to keep going, he teases you a bit with his cock— slipping and sliding in between your folds with intention, nudging his tip ever so slightly into your entrance before repeating his motions a few more times. He lets out a low moan when he sees how much you're yearning for him, how much your eyes are pleading him for him to give you more and more— slowly easing himself into the space that was made for him and him only until he bottoms out, your pussy swallowing him whole. He pauses for a second, now lowering himself back down onto your body so he can hold you close. The both of you wrap your arms around each other as he starts at a slow and steady pace— letting you feel every inch of him, every part of him that missed you so terribly and so deeply.
He praises you in your ear, keeping you close, holding you close; making sure he won't ever let you go again. Everything about it is so sensual, so intimate, and there's nowhere else you'd rather be than in San's arms. He continues slowly, deeply, laying more kisses across the skin of your neck and jaw.
Back up to your cheeks, eyes.
Nose.
Lips.
“Can you be a good girl and turn around for me, baby? Hm?” He says and hums lowly. “Please.” He pleads, just as he presses his lips onto yours for a heated, open-mouthed kiss. You do as he asks, flipping onto your stomach while you press your cheek against the pillow. His large hands roam up your body, leaving kisses in a fiery trail from your lower back— up to your shoulder blades and the sides of your neck. He reconnects your bodies as one, your mouth falling agape as he lets out a deep moan. You’ve got a leg bent up, with the other straight— San’s hands resting on your thigh and hip as he slides his thick cock in and out of you. He’s quick to find his rhythm, moans and repeated whines filling the walls of the bedroom.
"Y/N." San lowers himself to grip your chin, back pressed against his chest. He whispers in your ear as he rolls his hips into you from behind harshly, an arm now wrapped around you to keep you as close as possible.
"Sannie." You breathe out repeatedly. He pants, the low moans and whimpers echoing in the space of the room.
Bodies slick with sweat.
San moves to the side, pressing his lips against your temple just before letting out another guttural groan at the way your walls squeeze him so perfectly, pushing him right at the edge.
Heaven sent.
"Y/N." He repeats your name, his words are choked; he feels himself tipping over, coil ready to snap any second. His dick slick with your wetness every time he drags in and out. "I love you." He says. "I love you, baby." He repeats over and over, and over, and over again. Until it sinks into your skin, into those wounds.
Until it bleeds deep into your soul.
"I love you too, San."
Tumblr media
In the following weeks, you find yourself busy as can be in Professor Kim's lab. You were able to pull your transfer application and all the required documents together within the two week timeframe given, along with participating in meetings with Professor Qi to slowly start getting yourself acclimated to her lab, her work and the clinical department you'd be working heavily in.
To say you are exhausted would be an understatement.
But, having San back by your side helps a lot.
You and San have been very secretive about your relationship for very obvious reasons; despite you pretty much having the transfer in your pocket and being the next step in your career, you were still scared. You stopped having San pick you up on campus, opting to drive to his place and slipping your car into the garage while San would leave his cars out. You wouldn't mention San to anyone, you wouldn't talk about his lab, you wouldn't do anything except focus on yourself, your work in Professor Kim's lab and making preparations to move.
After hours— it was different.
Barely can keep your hands off of each other within the walls of San's home, making up for lost time. Constantly in each other's space, afraid to let go in case the other wanders too far away. But, you could never. San could never.
"Sannie." You giggle when San wraps his arms around you from behind and kisses you against the forehead, cheek, jaw. His hands roam around your body, caressing and squeezing every inch he possible can.
"Why are you rushing out?"
"Uh, because I have things to do. Like you do." You laugh.
"5 minutes."
"5 minutes and we'll both be late. No." He whines and pouts.
"No fun."
"I'll see you later, yeah?" You turn to face him after getting your things together. "Have a good day." San continues to pout.
"You too, baby." You laugh and start heading out of the room. San follows, tying the tie around his neck properly. "What time are you planning to come, anyway?"
"I promised my friends I'd get dinner with them, so after?"
"Hm." He hums. "Okay, love."
"But, at least I won't have an early start tomorrow."
"Thank god. Cause I got plans for tonight." You smile and caress his chin before giving him another quick peck to the lips.
"I love you." You say softly when you pull back briefly.
"I love you, too." San smiles, losing his pout completely when he hears you say those words. It could literally fuel his entire day— which, he'll need with all the back-to-back meetings he has today.
When you get to campus, you head straight to class— grabbing a parfait on the way over. It seems to be a pretty busy day on campus, being that it was nearly impossible to find parking, and all your favorite quick cafés seemed to be packed with people. You find that there are multiple symposiums going on, along with other important events around campus. Class isn't too bad, and it goes by a lot quicker with the last half being small group breakouts and assignments that need to be completed before class ends. Afterward, you hurry on to the lab, hoping to snag one of the small conference rooms for your check-in with Professor Qi.
Except, you run into a minor roadblock— one that you very much want to confront head on instead of ignoring it like you typically do.
"Professor Lee?" You turn to Iseul as you tuck your books to your chest. She turns over her shoulder to look at you, brows knitted tightly together as if she's already annoyed that you're calling for her attention. And if she is, you couldn't give a fuck. Because she isn't gonna like what's gonna come out of your mouth next, and you hope it finally sinks into her thick ass skull.
"Yes?" She checks her watch. "Can we make this brief? I'm heading to a meeting."
"Don't worry, I don't care to take up much of your time." You give her a small smile. "Thank you for your support with my move to Professor Qi's lab at Mirae. Seems like after all the trouble you went through to try and air out my business, it only brought me to better opportunities. I'm not going anywhere and so isn't San." She's glaring at you now, watching your every move in total disgust.
"Very bold move of you to come up to me and waste my time on the way to a meeting."
"Also very bold of you to meddle in his business after everything you've put him through."
"You have no right to speak on that."
"And you had no right to involve yourself in something that doesn't concern you." You pause. "Just so we're clear on this." You step a little closer and tilt your head to the side. "You can do whatever you want, however you want. I'm not gonna let you take his happiness away again." She rolls her eyes and shakes her head, turning to her watch again.
"I’ll assume this is done." You give her a toothless smile before she storms off, pulling her phone out of her pocket. Although she probably won't give this another thought, you felt accomplished having released that from your chest. But little do you know, she hates it, and she hates it because she only thought she was doing the right thing.
Now, she's the enemy and everyone sees her and Yunho as that.
you: hey.
You pull out your phone as you scurry along to the conference room, still having enough time to spare before your check-in with Professor Qi. San texts back almost instantly even though he's definitely in a Zoom meeting right now, making you chuckle to yourself.
He will always make time for you, regardless.
san: hey baby. what's up?
you: sorry, wasn't expecting you to answer mid-meeting.
san: it's alright, i can do both. you okay?
you: i am.
you: i just wanna say i really appreciate you, san.
san: all of a sudden? 😂 i appreciate you too, love. more than you know.
you: yeah. 🥹 i love you.
san: i love you too, sweet girl.

°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・° where did you go? ❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
what do the wind breaker boys do when someone they care about is dissociating?
Tumblr media
┌──❀*̥˚───❀*̥˚─┐
◘ featuring sakura haruka, suo hayato, kaji ren... and whoever is reading this!
◘ a handful of angst with an armful of comfort
◘ a/n I definitely have more wind breaker characters that I want to write for—especially for this prompt—but if you have any requests, please ;; let me know ;;
└───❀*̥˚───❀*̥˚┘
Tumblr media
𐙚 haruka sakura.
he never knows what's wrong with him when it happens—one moment he's there, the next... he's floating in the currents of his past as memories froth over the present—but he knows that something's wrong.
and right now, he can see it in your eyes. you were smiling and laughing with kotoha seconds ago, but now you're staring blankly at the counter, still wiping down a dish you started drying five minutes ago. sakura noticed the shift when a customer dropped their plate. you blanched, fear flickering in your eyes, as the sound of porcelain shattering struck you.
kotoha cleaned it up while you stared, and stared...
"hey, how long are you gonna dry that bowl for?" sakura asks while sliding into a seat at the bar, leaving suo and nirei at the booth.
you turn your head so slowly, it makes sakura think that every muscle in your body has been replaced by tsugeura's weights. "oh." just as slowly, you eye the bowl in your hands. "I guess it's dry now."
your laugh is soft, weak, as you set the bowl aside. "hey," sakura starts again, drawing your attention back to him. "are you almost done?" when your only response is a vacant stare, he bolts upright, gripping the edge of the counter. "I mean, are you... are you almost done working here? like, for today?"
you glance sidelong at kotoha, who smiles knowingly—then mischievously. "she's actually done right now, sakura. why, are you gonna take her out on a date?"
sakura balls his hands into fists, stopping himself from slamming them on the counter. "so—so what if I am, huh? you got a problem with that?"
your heart skips a beat, fluttering. "a date?"
seeing the light in your eyes, sakura's expression softens. he stands up, hands in his pockets, and nods toward the door. he intentionally lowers his head, hiding the red dusting his cheeks. "yeah, so... hurry up."
Tumblr media
𐙚 hayato suo.
his kind, watchful gaze never misses the subtle caveat of your consciousness floating away. he sees the warning signs in your taut muscles, how they'll start twitching sporadically as you brace yourself against an invisible threat. he sees them in your eyes, how they'll dim as your pupils dilate, like you're lost in a dream.
a nightmare.
your name floats on a gentle murmur as suo leans so he's in front of you, so your eyes meet his. "did you go somewhere?"
memories flit across your vision as your mind bounces back and forth between past and present, until everything is hazy and distant, and you no longer know what's real and what's not.
his hand cups your shoulder, gently squeezing, as he shuffles closer. "you did, but... you don't have to be there anymore." that same hand slides in-between your shoulders as he leads you away from the bustling sidewalk and down a quiet, dimly lit alleyway. "because you're here in makochi, with me. don't you feel the ground beneath your feet?"
you nod.
"tell me," suo whispers. "tell me what you see."
you tell him what you see: gray concrete flecked pink with cherry blossom petals, an overflowing dumpster that reeks, and a rainbow of graffiti sprawled along the walls. the alleyway opens up to a quieter, slower part of makochi, and you realize that suo is leading you to his favorite tea shop.
suo smiles. "don't you think the tea shop will smell better than this alleyway?" you breathe in—hot, stinking air—and wrinkle your nose. suo laughs, squeezing your shoulder again. "I agree. but I'm glad you're back."
you turn to face him, only to find him still smiling at you, worry swirling in the depths of his eye.
"you see the cherry blossoms and smell the trash. that means you're here, in makochi, with me." he gingerly intertwines his fingers with yours.
Tumblr media
𐙚 ren kaji.
he can't empathize with you the same way sakura does. even though he knows what it's like to lose himself, it's never in the same way as you. it's like your mind slips between the fabric of reality, caught between past and present, but he simply loses his mind—loses it to the ever-festering darkness inside of him. a monster.
it makes him wonder what you've seen... if he ever looks like the monster who hurt you.
it's when you fall silent and retreat deep inside of yourself that he notices. you walk slowly, lower your head; you flinch at the slightest touch, a sudden sound. and when it happens as you walk side by side, he'll crouch down in front of you, his steady, worried gaze capturing yours.
then you feel the weight of his headphones. music floods your ears, drowns the haunting echoes of your past. when you open your mouth to protest, he sticks a sucker in—peach, of course it's peach—and stands back up, lifting one side of the headphones up. "did you snap out of it?"
you fumble for words, caught between the music in your ears and the sudden sweetness in your mouth, and the all-consuming fog shrouding every passing thought.
"is it too much?"
you shake your head.
"good. just focus on that, then." he grabs your hand. "I'll make sure you don't get lost."

Happier Chapter 9
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: I do not own Arcane or any links. I only own the concept idea to this story and the story itself.
Concept: Isekai Fem Reader turns back time to fix her timeline, but it has unforeseen consequences.
Tumblr media
Reader Pov
"MMMMPPPHHH!!!" I let out a muffled yell of pain. One of my kidnappers stomping on my braced leg; the leg brace being broken a while ago with some of the parts being bent or broken off.
I tried to escape, I really did, but that blow to the head really isn't me doing me any favors. They snuck me back down here to the deep end of the Undercity and once far enough away, they started their "payback" in some fucking dead end alleyway. Taking turns punching, kicking, slapping and just overall beating me to a pulp.
"Hey! Remember not to mess her up too much. We won't get paid if you break the merchandise" The woman who I determined as the boss of the rest of the group.
"Oh c'mon! We did this to get payback didn't we!?" one guy says as he kicks me on the ground as a heave for breathe.
"Yes, we did. We also all want to make an actual pay from this right?," their boss says and I can only guess the others agree, "Then we can't fucking kill her! We fuck her up, let her have what has been coming for a long time and then get paid. After that we can start making big moves down here, especially after this bitch is stuck in recovery." she says as she grabs my hair and lifts my head up to show them my state before throwing me back into the dirty alleyway floor.
"Fine. Still gonna have our fun though." Someone says kicking me in the back, the bruises that were already beginning to form from earlier assaults making the pain much worse.
I feel emotions rising again, but I don't shed tears for them. That would just make them happy. Instead I hold out and hope for this to be over soon; for the pain to just stop already. But a part that I try to bury down still sticks to my mind. A part of me that fears that this won't end, that they won't stop, they'll get carried away or change there minds.
'What if I die here?' the thought runs through my head as someone else decides to join in and get their hits in. The pain not getting any better, and only escalating as I scream out from behind my bindings.
"AAAAMMMMMPPPHHH!!!"

Powder Pov
"So what is it you wanted to talk about?" Ekko asks as we dance together as the music plays and people party and mingle around us.
"Two things. First, Y/n and I talked and she said some things that really touched me and open something up in me. So, I want to present the power cell with you. As partners, like you said you wanted to; before I walked off on you like a bitch. Sorry about that by the way." I say, feeling a little guilty now that I think back on when Ekko first asked me and I got upset at him.
"Really!? That's great! And you don't have to apologize for being upset. You were going through some things. We all do. But are you sure? You really want to do this with me?" he asks which makes me smile.
"Yes. I really do. I-I don't want to be stuck. I was scared of messing it all up and screwing things up for you too. I thought I would fail at it all..... but then Y/n talked to me. I'm still scared, but if I fail, I want to work through it. I wanna push forward and keep trying. I want to do that with you, Ekko." I admit, and he smiles and we lean into each other and have an intimate moment together on the dance floor.
Ignoring a random whistle and comment towards us from someone who is probably drunk as shit, even though the party just started.
We pull apart and continue dancing; holding each other close and I feel a weight be lifted off my shoulders. Finally feeling..... free.
"You don't know just how happy that makes me Powder. I promise you won't regret it," he says with determination in hus voice making me smile at his steeled resolve, "And the second thing?" He asks, making me a little nervouse.
"Right. So y'know how we said we would talk about our "thing" with Y/n tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Why?" he asks as he furrows his brows.
"Well when Y/n talked with me she said some things that were really touching and meaningful and then something inside me was just like 'Oh shit. I love her,' sooooo I may have kiiiiiiisssed heeer" I say as I shrink back slightly, afraid that he will be mad.
"......Okay." he says casually which makes me stunned and we stop dancing.
"Wha?"
"Okay. Surprisingly, I'm not mad."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Usually I would, but this is Y/n we're talking about. We both know we have a "thing" for her, and I honestly don't mind," he explains making me relax more as I hold his hands, "Is that weird?" He asks and I take a moment to genuinely think on it before answering.
"No, at least, I don't think it is. Even if it were the other way around, I don't think I would be mad either. As long as it's her," I say as I think back on those beautiful words that Y/n let spill from her lips. Her soft lips, "She makes me feel a certain way. Just like you. She brings something out of me that I didn't know was there." I say, and I hear Ekko chuckle.
"I know. She's also kind." "Caring too." "Loves Isha." "Always wants to help." "Cute too." "More like hot as fuck."
We bounce off of each other as we list the things we have grown to love about Y/n in just a month of knowing her. I smile and think back fondly on all the times we spent with Y/n and Isha. Just living life happily together.
"I love her, Ekko."
"I love her too." He says and we both stand there, two idiots in love with someone and wanting to bring her into our lives.
"You think.... You think she might feel the same way?" I ask him with hope in my voice.
"I don't know. You're the one who kissed her. You tell me." he says with a laugh.
"Well she didn't push me away, but she also didn't kiss back, although I think that's mostly because she was in shock. You should have seen her face."
"I got a glimpse of it when you two came back. Looked like her brain was fried" he says and we both laugh a little at that, "Since we're on the topic; how was it? The kiss?"
"It wa-"
"Hey you two!" I am interrupted by being pulled into a tight hug by none other than my sister Vi.
"Hey sis." I say in a strained voice.
"Happy you made it." Ekko says, his voice also strained and I see Cait shaking her head over Vi's shoulder.
"Of course we made it! This is a big night! Sevika's here too, but she went straight to the bar for a drink." Vi says as she somehow squeezes us tighter.
"Sweetie, you're gonna kill them if you hold them any tighter," Cait says, making Vi let go and take a step back, "You two looked like you were in a good mood. I'm guessing the energy cell was a success?" Cait asks.
"You know it. I already have it on display and ready for Powder and I to present to investors and the judges." Ekko says, making Vi perk up at the mention of my name.
"Together?" Vi asks, and both she and Cait look towards me expectantly so I give them a nod, making them both brighten up more, "That's great! Amazing! So are you two are going into this as partners?" Vi says excitedly making me smile at her encouragement.
"Of course. It's like what Y/n said. We're gonna rattle the stars." I say as I think back on those beautiful words that reached and touched such a deep part of me.
Suddenly I feel something ram into my lower back, almost throwing me off balance, begore quickly turning aroundto see Isha in a new frilly dress. Looking very happy.
"Isha! Look at you! When did you become royalty?" I ask as I kneel down to get a better look at her and she does a twirl to show off her dress to us.
"I didn't know Isha was a princess. Cupcake, why didn't you say anything?" Vi says jokingly and get's a pinch on her arm.
"I'm not a princess, and my family isn't royalty. We just collected a lot of influence over all of the years." Cait defends herself.
"So, basically royalty then." Ekko says, making the rest of us chuckle as I pick up Isha, and Caut sighs in defeat.
"Ekko! Powder! There you guys are, I've been looking for you two," I hear and turn to see Mylo and he does a double take at Vi and Cait, "Oh, hey! Good to see you two made it."
"What did you need?" I ask.
"Just wanted to let you know there's already some high profile looking people eyeing your energy cell, if you wanted to leave some early impressions on some investor's before the competition. Claggor is already showing off our plant. See?." he says as he points in a direction and we see Claggor showing off their invention to some people.
"Shouldn't you be with him?" Ekko asks and Mylo burshes it off and blows a rasberry.
"That's more of Claggor's thing. I'm better off mingling with the ladies." he says smugly and obviously eyeing at Gert on stage.
"You're such an idiot" I say as I shake my head, before feeling Ekko grab my hand as Vi tries to give him some advice on what not to do with women.
"Wanna make an impression?" Ekko asks and I look at Isha who nods her head happily.
"That looks like a yes. But first; hey sis! Cait!," I call to them and grab their attention, "Can you ask Y/n to meet us at Ekko's display? She helped us make it too, so I want her to be there when we show it off. That's fine, right?" I ask Ekko and get a nod.
"No problem! Where is she amyway? You four Are usually always hanging out together." she says with implication in her voice.
"She was sitting at the bar the last time we saw her. She should still be there," I say before adding on more thing, "And if she looks like she's in shock or contemplating something. That's fine. Just send her our way." I say we start walking away to where I would presume Ekko's display is.
"Don't worry, we'll find her." Cait says reassuringly before we start heading to the power cell; it already having people inspecting it.
"You ready?" Ekko asks me and I nod.
"Always."

"Can you believe it, Cupcake? Powder is gonna present with Ekko! She's finally gonna get out there and show off to the world." Vi says excitedly. Which I understand completely considering all the times I've heard about Powder holding herself back.
"She looked happy. I wonder what made her so confident to try now?"
"I'm willin' to bet it's her and Ekko's latest eye candy," Vi says with a smirk, "Those two are lovesick if you ask me." she says as we look for the girl in question around the bar area.
'Who would've thought an investigation would lead to a new addition of our family and friends.' I think back to just a month ago when we first met Y/n in this bar. I was slightly scared of her then, but afterwards she showed a much mofe gentle side of her. One that cared and laughed.
"Vi! Cait! It's good to see you two made it!" Vander calls out as he finishes serving a handful of people.
"Of course we made it. We wouln't miss such a big night." Vi says as we approach the counter.
"I saw you two lookin' around the bar. Somethin' wrong?" he asks sounding concerned.
"Nothing at all. We were just looking for Y/n. Powder and Ekko want her there with them to present their power cell, and said she should be here. Probably in an unusual state too, but Powder said that's fine." I explain to get rid of his worries.
"Oh, good. Don't need trouble on such a goon night. Last I saw she looked freaked out about somethin' before going out the back door for a breather. Though I don't know where she went afterwards, Silco and I got busy once the party started kickin' up."
"Thank you. We'll go check to see if she's still out there." I say as I glancs at Vi and nod towards the door, before making our way there.
Once outside and in the alleyway that the door leads to, we do a quick scan around to see if she's here.
"Damn. Not here either. You don't think she got drunk and wandered off do you?" Vi asks me with some worry in her voice.
"No. Vander would have told us if she drank. I also don't think he would have let her out here on her own is she was drunk."
"That's true. He wouldn't risk that on any of us." She says as she goes deeper into the alley to see if she might be nearby, and I head the opposite way towards the main street.
As I walk, I suddenly hear a small wet sound when I take a step.
'It didn't rain today.'
I take a step back and look down before kneeling to get a closer look. My eyes widen slightly at what I knew was blood. My shoe making a print of it and some drops of it surrounding the area I stepped
"You got something over there Cupcake?" Vi asks, but I don't respond. Trying not to panic.
'It could be from anything.' I thought before spotting something familiar laying near a trash bin.
"Cupcake? You okay?" Vi asks now behind me, but I get up and quickly walk towards the object and pick it up. My eyes widening.
Y/n's helmet. No doubt about it with the bunny ears Isha drew on it. It's dented in the back and I turn back to Vi, her now leaning down inspecting the blood before looking up at me and her eyes widen in fear just like my own at the helmet before looking into my eyes. We have a wordless conversation through our eyes before rushing back inside.
Y/n was in danger.
Tumblr media
Powder Pov
"With this, it should produce a much more effecient power cell. Both for long-term use and energy efficiency. We...." Ekko continues to explain to people that have shown interest in the energy cell. It's been going great. Isha seemed to like the attention when we mentioned how she along with Y/n helped us with putting it together. Speaking of.
'Where is she?'
It shouln't be taking this long for Vi and Cait to find her. Unless Y/n herself didn't want to come, but they would have told us if Y/n refused.
I take a glance around the bar and try to see if I can spot her when I see Vi and Cait rushing in through the back door, not caring to close it. I see them rush over to the bar and immediately grabbing Dad, Silco, Sevika and Benzo's attention, as I see fear on their faces. My heart starts beating faster at their expressions and only get's worse when I see the other three's expressions go from shocked to fear.
I hold Isha closer at that and tighten my hold on Ekko's hand and give it a tug to the side.
"Um, could you give us one second?," Ekko asks them before stepping aside with Isha and I, "Powder, what's wrong?" he asks and I only nod towards the bar and he looks to see what I see. Isha noticing as well.
We move forward to try and get a better look at what's happening through the crowd, and I spot something in Cait's hands. Something I recognize immediately as we get a better angle.
"Y/n's helmet." Ekko says for me with with worry in his voice.
I see a dent in the back of it and look up and see that Cait has spotted us. She doesn't need to say anything for me to know what happened. I can see it in her eyes.
Y/n was attacked, and by her absence took also her.
'Someone kidnapped Y/n.'
Something inside me awakens at that thought. I don't care. Y/n was taken away. We need to get her back.
I need her.
We need her.

How long has it been? Minutes? Hours? I don't know. All I feel is pain and exhaustion as I lay limp in a dirty alley. I tried to grt away from it all and dissasociate, but the pain is too much. My throat feels strained from all the yelling and screaming.
"Alright! I think that's enough. We gotta move before someone finds us here," Their boss says, but I feel a foot apply weight on my braced leg. I only groan in pain as I am too tired and in too much pain to scream, "I said enough! Anymore and you'll kill her."
"And!? This bitch has had this coming for a long time!" The man from earlier yells out.
"Because then we can't get paid, remember? We got our payback; now we get paid." Their boss says again.
"I say we off her here and now. Bitch deserves it." A different woman says and I hear some murmurs of agreement from the others.
"Are you guys crazy!? We do that and the enforcers will come down on us harder than they already are now!" Their boss says, trying to regain authority, but it doesn't sound like it's going well.
"She's the reason why they're hitting us as hard as they're in the first place! What happens after she recovers and comes for us!?" the other woman says, getting more murmurs of agreement.
"I say we send a message." I hear the guy from earlier say. I start panicking as I see someone hand him my shovel that was taken off of me and start walking towards me.
"Hey! This is not the plan!," Their boss tries to step in front of me to stop him, but is blocked by others and moved aside, "Are you guys serious!? If you do this we're fucked!"
I try to get up to run or fight. To at least do something, but I'm too tired and in too much pain. I can only hardly push myself up with my arms before being stomped on my back.
'This is it? Dead in a fucking alleyway?,' I thought as I am kicked to roll over on my back. The others all cheering the man on as he steps over me, 'Maybe this is the cost? Time letting me face the consequences of my actions,' I barely stare up at the man as he lifts my shovel high over his head. Ready to bring it down onto me, 'As long as they live.' I try to accept, but then the memories come running back to me.
Talking with Vander, Silco and Benzo.
Listening to Heimerdinger play toons on the street.
Messing around with Claggor and Mylo.
Having tea with Cait and Vi.
Sevika showing her tough love.
Going out with Powder, Ekko and Isha.
Talking, laughing, caring and living.
'I want to live.'
I move my head last second and the shovel imapcts the ground next to my head and I use as much strength as I can muster curl up and kick him away. I use the force of the kick to roll over onto my feet and try to run in the confusion, but don't make it far. Someone manages to trip me and I fall down again.
"Damn! She still has some fight left in her! Not enough luck though!" The guy says with a laugh as I try to get up, but I get stomped on my leg.
"Stop! If you do this we're done for!" their boss, or maybe former boss, tries again to stop him but is stopped.
I can only look over my shoulder as the man with my shovel stands over me again and raises it high.
'At least I tri-'
*BANG*
"AAAGH Shit!" The man yells as he drops the shovel and blood spills from his hand. I look forward and see Cait and Vi there.
"Drop your weapons now! Or else!," Cait yells out orders, but no one moves. She shoots near one's head and only barely misses, "I'm not asking again! Drop! Them!," she commands them and they follow orders this time, "Back away from her to the end of the alley! Now!" she says and I glance back to see them continuing to follow orders.
I hear Cait and Vi get closer to me and I can only make brief eye contact with Vi before they move to stand between me any kidnappers. I hear people running from where Cait and Vi arrived and look forward again.
"Cait! Vi! What happ-......" I feel a wave of relief go through me as I hear Powder's voice and see Ekko next to her with Claggor and Mylo behind her.
They rush over and untie my restraints before gently turning me over after seeing my state. Powder gently lifts my head to lay it on her lap instead of the cold floor and brushes some hair from my face. I can't help but let tears fall now and cry. I turn myself into her and she holds me close; not too tight because of my bruised body.
"Someone get her gun." Vi says and Ekko is quick to respond and get's it from the floor and brings it back to Powder and I. Handing it to Powder to hold onto.
"Kids! What's goin' on!?," I hear Vander's voice now, rushing towards us and I peak out from my embrace with Powder to see him, Silco and Sevika. Vander is wearing his old gauntlets. They give me concerned looks before staring down the alley at the thugs on the other end, "What happened." Vander says, sounding more like a command than a question.
"They were going to kill her. We got here right before that guy was about to cave her head in." Vi answers and I feel Powder stiffen at that. I feel her hold on me only tighten a little. Not too much to hurt me, but just to have me closer.
"Ekko." She says and no other words are exchanged. He looks over at the thugs, specifically at the one bleeding from his hand before he picks up my shovel from the floor.
He walks forward and before the guy can step back Ekko swings the shovel at him, knocking him to the ground; the others backing away from the sudden outburst.
"Wait! Wai-" he's cut off as Ekko doesn't stop. He keeps beating on the guy on the ground. No one tries to stop him. Not even Cait; who keeps her rifle aimed at the other thugs.
"Wait, he doesn't ha-" I try to protest through a strained voice, but Powder just cradles my head closer to not see what's happening.
"Shhh. It's okay. Don't worry about it. Everythings okay now." she says as I hear the guy's yells and screams and Ekko beating him senseless. I hear bones break, blood leaking and more screams.
"Stop! He's had enough!," I hear their boss say, but Ekko doesn't stop. He ignores her and keeps going. I feel one of Powder's arm loosen and peak out to see the woman go step forward to grab Ekko, "Sto-" *BANG*
I hear a familiar gunshot. Not from Cait. Powder's arm with my gun in hand is extended out towards the woman. Powder shot her. The woman drops dead and I stare in shock at her corpse, before Powder wraps her arm around me to hold me close again. Ekko continuing to beat a man to death; his screams and yells getting weaker. I hear the breaking of bones and blood being spilled. No one stops him.
"Wh- Why did you....."
"It's fine. They deserve it." she says in a certain tone that sounds too familiar. Too much like Jinx.
I'm overwhelmed by emotions. Too much happening for me to know what to do. Eventually Ekko finally stops and I can hear his labored breathes.
"We-We won't resist arrest. We'll go to Stillwater!" I hear a thug says and getting no protests from the others.
"Vander. Y'know what needs to happen right?" I hear Silco ask, "They hurt one of ours. They were going to kill her." he continues in that cold tone I know all too well.
A few seconds goes by before I hear Vander's heavy footsteps walk forward towards where I know Ekko is.
"You're done here, Ekko. Kids! Take her home."
"What!? Dad, they were going to kill her! If Cait and I di-"
"There might be others who might try something Vi. Take her home," Vander says again as Ekko walks over Powder and I, "We'll handle the rest."
"What!? We'll turn ourselves in! We won't bother he-" the voice is cut off by a loud impact.
'What are they doing!?'
"Come on, let's go home." Ekko says as he picks me up gently and I can only get a peak over his shoulder at what is happening. I see another dead body in front of Vander, there head looking like it was caved in. Powder runs a hand through my hair before gently coaxing my head to lean into Ekko.
"Don't worry about them Y/n. Get rest." she says as if there isn't a massacre about to happen.
As we leave Vander, Slico and Sevika in the alley with the rest of the thugs, I can feel my exhaustion taking over. The screams and yells being left in the distance. My eyelids grow heavy before I have no choice but to sleep. Too tired and hurt to fully process anything that is happening.
"It's okay. You're safe now. Just rest. Isha is waiting for you back home." Powder says softly before I finally drift off into sleep.

Chloe goes back in time AU Premise
UPDATED: 4/28/25
So I never really did a 'Master post' of how this AU started, and I figured I should while I work on it, since I'm probably not going to do an 'origins' fic, though the details of how it began will likely come out over time.
Post S5 Chloe has been thrown back in time into her own body just prior to Origins. She knows where she is, she knows when she is. She does not know HOW she got here.
What she does know(she thinks) is what's coming, the next year looms before her, one giant failure after the other. She'll end this year broken, defeated, abandoned. She knows everything that doesn't work. Being like her mother doesn't work. Listening to Hawkmoth doesn't work. Trying to be a hero doesn't work. Listening to Lila doesn't work. NOTHING works. She knows every way to fail and no ways to succeed.
She is angry. She is angry and the people who left her. She is angry at losing, she is angry because she can't think of a way to *stop* it all from happening.
This leads to instant and immediate shakeups from her first morning. What is the point in stepping on the peons at school? They'll win in the end anyway, waste of time. Who cares about Adri-nobody? He'll leave her. Sabrina? More like ... .. trai- rr tor--brina. Yeah! Chloe is a ball of wire and nails. Less a presence, but twice as sharp if jostled. It might gain more notice if it weren't for the first akuma and the appearance of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Paris is treated to a handful of Akumas in a fairly canon format before Hawkmoth notices the ball of rage that is Chloe Bourgeois and knocks on her mental door. Imagine his surprise when she interrupts his monologue, tells him he's ridiculous and she knows how this works better than he does, then demands a 'better' power of her own choosing. Still new to all this, Hawkmoth goes along with it.
She's out to beat LB/CN, not for Hawkmoth, just to WIN something. Cat Noir gets to Chloe first and the combination of his inexperience(he's taking it a bit lightly) and her bloody mindedness means she gets the ring off of him.... and that's where it all breaks down. He's... Adrien???!! He's always been Adrien?
Shocked, she breaks the akumatization and bolts with the ring. Leaving a stunned Hawkmoth with the knowledge that his own son *was* Cat Noir, and that the ring was right under his nose. also... people can break out of his akumatizations??!
Ladybug shows up to find a dejected Adrien who explains what happened but leaves the *identity* of his opponent out of the story. He feels horrible for failing Ladybug and hopes he an get the ring back from Chloe to prove himself to her. For her part Ladybug is shocked too, shocked and concerned. She feels terrible for Adrien, for Cat Noir, for her partner.
About round here is where the actual posts and asks and fics for this AU start. If I have time (or someone else does and wants to help!) I'll try to dig back and organize some for a list here.
Here is Chloe when she has the Black Cat!
UPDATE: I went back and found the tumblr post that happens after Chloe gets the ring but before the first fic in the series! Gabe had a good idea for once, but it didn't work.
Here is the first fic in the series!
Here is a second 'fic' that is actually just three scenes that I posted here on Tumblr too.
The Third fic is here! This one introduces a trio of new heroes!
Nino!
Alya!
Adrien!
FANART! my AU has FANART! I'm Dying!

As a Christian myself, I'll say the symbolism is...rather muddled, and I'd really like more confirmation on what is supposed to be alluding to what before drawing any conclusions. I feel like people see something like "ring of thorns" and go "JESUS ALLEGORY!" without really like...thinking through what actually is all involved with that!
Also, the holes in the hands thing could very well also reference the Mystery Man/Gaster, and if anything he's associated with Demonic imagery, not Christlike.
(Also also, the Holiday House is notably secular Christian imagery, not religious. No sign of a nativity scene in that house. But that's probably getting into some way more complicated issues around the fact that the monster religion, while borrowing a lot from various Protestant and Catholic icons, is not Christianity.)
Tumblr media
Ahhh everything involving the piano was SO heartfelt and heartwrenching. You can see in my playthrough I stopped long enough to hear Kris go play the piano during the Holiday House scene, and was just like "AWWWWWUUUHHH!"
Tumblr media
Yeah, I am hoping that I can beat it, just gotta practice a whole lot! Mostly I'm nervous about those battles when it comes to streaming the chapters with friends; I don't want to get stuck on those for long periods of time. ;o; Either way, do need to practice...
Tumblr media
It definitely seems like Kris, Carol and the Knight have some kind of deal going on, but it's at the very lease a reluctant/obligatory deal on Kris's part. They'll do what's asked of them by those two, and won't fight the Knight if given the opportunity.
But, at the same time, during the Knight fight if both Susie and Ralsei are down, Kris's damage output goes way up. They're willing to go along with what's expected of them up until their friends get hurt.
Tumblr media
I honestly think they're already on course to do so, even if they don't realize it yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't even think we know who it is she lives with yet! It could be one parent, it could be both, it could be a different family member or adoptive guardian. I do think whoever it is, they aren't a good parental figure at all, considering Susie is avoiding home whenever possible and clearly not being fed properly.
I don't know that I can confidently say yet what the missing part of the prophecy is! It honestly feels like it could be the death or sacrifice or any one of the heroes, or of Noelle, or something else equally important.
Tumblr media
To be fair, that is coming from a little kid, and they might just not understand how things work!
I've been looking at all the evidence I can regarding blood for a theory video, and mostly what I've realized is that a lot of what we hear conflicts with each other and comes from unreliable sources. While I personally think it does shake out to Susie being half-human (and hopefully can argue that well enough), I think it might be too difficult right now to definitively prove whether or not all monsters bleed or don't bleed in DR.
Tumblr media
While it would have been pretty neat, I can understand why it didn't happen. There's still a chance for it in later chapters!
Tumblr media
Yeah, I think everyone was kind of designing towards the Knight as a person, so seeing it as this unnerving creature was both unexpected and really, really fun!
Tumblr media
Untrue! If you visit Temmie in the classroom during chapter four, she has some voiced lines that she sings!
Tumblr media
Yeah, all of the main characters have their good points and their bad points. Honestly, Toriel being a wine mom and getting a bit tipsy while jitterbugging with Sans on her own time isn't even what I'd call being a 'bad parent'...but at the same time, it's clear this had an effect on Susie and made her really uncomfortable. I don't think it's something Toriel would have known about. I dunno, I think she's much more interesting if she's not perfect goat mom who does everything right!

secret rhymes - 35. concert (half-written)
a/n: alt title: y/n having her y/n moment
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you watch as everyone is admitted one by one from behind the door, peeking out so you don't cause too much ruckus. some find seats while others trade their ticket in for a beverage, and others chat amongst one another.
the beat against your chest gets more drastic as soon as the last pair are inside. you watch the two head to the upstairs seating before going back behind the door and taking a deep breath.
after a few minutes the chatter starts to settle down. everyone is comfy with their beverages and situated, which means it's time for the performance to start.
a staff member gets on stage and checks the microphone, then the guitar before she speaks toward the crowd, capturing their attention.
"hello everyone! good evening. the show will start soon, thank you for your compliance! enjoy!"
a wave of cheers and applaud roars throughout the cafe, overwhelming you just a bit. you still can't believe it, there's a whole crowd for you out there.
the staff member, jia, comes backstage and gives you a comforting smile. you've gotten to know her briefly and she's the sweetest person you know. she's supportive of your work and had been understanding as she helped you adjust and get to know the label, as well as their building.
"everything is ready." jia says, putting a hand on your shoulder. "are you?"
"y-yeah." you mumble. she pulls you in suddenly for a hug, rubbing your back softly.
"they'll love you, promise. fighting!" she cheers, putting a fist up.
you chuckle. "fighting!"
she pats you on the back once more before pushing you out there. you take a deep breath before stepping out, the murmuring simmering down and erupting into cheers. you smile as the lights around dim everywhere except the ones above you, emphasizing your moment.
you grab your electric guitar, putting the strap over so it can sit on your neck before you step closer to the microphone. you tap once, then twice, and finally a third time before speaking into it.
"hello?" you say quizically, unsure if you're unlucky enough to start your first show off with a mic that decides to cut off when it's your time to shine. "ah, it's working. hi everyone!"
there's another set of cheers, much louder than before, you might add.
"wow, oh my gosh, haha, you guys are so full of energy this is so cool." your nerves ease slightly and a giggle escapes when you hear someone calling you cute. "right. wow, this is so crazy—me being up here and all. thank you so much for being here. I'm beyond grateful for your support, and... honestly, I almost cried backstage before coming out here." that earns a ripple of laughter and a few heartfelt "awww's" from the audience.
someone shouts, "we love you!" and you can't help but laugh, the warmth of their support beginning to melt your anxiety.
"right. i'm starting off with my first song: i don’t wanna be okay without you. it originally was a small project that i uploaded on youtube after a very... eventful night." you start, strumming the first chords of the song. "i was so emotional so i sat down, sang, uploaded it, and fell asleep to push away what i felt. i woke up to a ton of notifications and my life changed significantly after that. this song will always be one of my favorites. okay, I'll stop talking now." you joke.
you strum again, the chords echoing through the room. you close your eyes for a moment, letting the familiarity of the song center you before you start singing. your voice is soft but steady, and as the melody builds, so does your confidence. people are swaying in their chairs, some mouthing the words. a group near the table holds up their phones to record, their faces flowing with excitement.
when the final note fades, the applause is immediate and enthusiastic. you're met with a wave of relief and pride that almost knocks you over. "thank you," you say into the mic, your cheeks hurting from smiling so much. "wow, okay. this all just got really real. wow, thank you so much."
the crowd "awww's" at your words and really just you in general, making you giggle. and then you take a moment to sip some water, glancing around the room, soaking in the faces turned toward you.
"this next song is called letter—" you're interrupted briefly by cheers and claps. you smile widely before continuing, "I also wrote this after going through, well, a lot. but this was a little later down the line." you admit nervously, fiddling with the mic stand. "it's kind of surreal to be here now. I've already said this, but things have flipped so much then. everything in my life has just been great and I'm just beyond grateful." you pause, feeling a teasing grin spread across your face. "these first two songs—and not the last—are kind of inspired by someone who, uh, did me dirty. that's all I can say. as much as I hate them, I'm not that petty.”
the crowd bursts into laughter and a few cheers. "spill!" someone shouts, making you laugh even harder.
"i don't know," you reply cheekily, "i think the songs say a good amount of it all."
letter has a slower, more brooding start, and as you sing, the room quiets down to let your voice take over. the raw emotion of the song seems to resonate with the crowd, and for a moment, it feels like it's just you, your guitar, and the song.
as the song ends, you're met with another round of applause, louder this time, and a few whistles that make your face flush. "thank you so much," you say, your voice more confident now. "okay, now that I've gotten through those two, let's have some fun."
the next part of your set transitions into covers, and the energy in the room shifts. "alright," you say with a grin, "I had some songs I wanted to cover, so I hope you all will enjoy. I've covered some of these before and a lot of people seemed to like it."
the room comes alive with the first notes, immediately catching on to the melody. best part by daniel caesar is recognizable two notes in, so the cheers and expressions of surprise that follow make you giggle.
people start singing along softly and it suddenly feels less like a concert in the best way possible. you, your fans, and the thing you love most: music. the harmony fills the cafe and so do flashlights on phones that sway from side to side. it really feels like you're sharing the moment with everyone and not just performing.
you keep the energy mellow with i fall in love too easily by chet baker, letting the soft jazz tones melt into the warm air. then, you pick up the pace slightly with easy by mac ayres and isn’t she lovely by stevie wonder. the audience sways to the rhythm, some people tapping their feet against the floor. every now and then, you catch someone's eye in the crowd and share a quick smile, feeling the connection deepen.
the cafe feels like a living room with how relaxed and carefree everyone is. it's like all the worries from outside have been left at the door and you're all just basking in the music. you laugh as the crowd sings along to the chorus’s, their voices blending with yours in a way that feels effortless and beautiful.
between songs, you chat casually with the audience. "you all sound amazing, by the way." you say, and the room bursts into cheers again. "seriously, I mean, maybe I should get off stage and let one of you sub in, that alright?" you ask, earning a wave of laughs.
it's comforting and refreshing to see how much fun everyone is having, and it fuels your energy as you get ready to finish the last cover you planned out. you take another sip of water and glance at the clock on the back wall, not ready for the night to end just yet.
"right, okay. i had two songs planned, which are both originals. I've posted one on youtube, but the other has been hiding in my notes app and voice memos for maybe a month now." you say, strumming a chord. "we'll start off with evergreen." and as soon as you say it there's a few cheers. you grin, strumming the next chord. "this is also heavily inspired by the same person I mentioned earlier. don't let someone make you feel worthless, not when you're worth so much." you add, earning a few chuckles and sympathetic looks from the crowd.
you pause, letting the melody settle over the room before you start singing. the reaction is instant—murmurs of recognition ripple through the audience, and a few people shout out excitedly.
your voice is steady, but there's a rawness in it that makes the words hit differently in this live setting as if the crowd knows the reason for making this song.
the song flows without effort, but as you reach the chorus, a wave of emotion washes over you. this isn't just a song anymore; it's a shared moment, one that feels like you're peeling back layers of yourself for everyone to see. the crowd sways, a few people even holding up their phones to capture the performance. by the time you finish, the applause is deafening, and you can't help but grin bashfully under all the attention.
"thank you," you say, voice wavering just a bit. "that song means a lot to me, so hearing you all react like that... it's everything." you take a deep breath, fingers brushing nervously over the strings of your guitar. "now, this next one... I've never played it live before. it's called clementine, and, uh, I guess you could say it's still learning how to walk, haha. it's also a piece of my heart, and I want you all to hear it first before it gets released... well, who knows when. "
the room falls into a heavy silence as you start to strum—it almost feels sacred. you start softly, the notes delicate and deliberate, and your voice follows, carrying the weight of the lyrics. as the song is sung, you can feel the emotion in the room shifting—some people are wiping at their eyes while others are just watching you with complete captivating spread on their features.
by the time you reach the final verse, your own voice falters slightly, thick with emotion. you close your eyes, letting the last few notes linger in the air before they fade into the quiet. for a moment, the room stays still, as if everyone is holding their breath, and then the applause erupts. it's not just loud—it's heartfelt, full of appreciation and love that makes your chest tighten.
you set your guitar down carefully, bringing the mic closer. "wow," you breathe out, breath shaky as tears prick at your eyes. "I don't want this to end. this night has been... it's been everything I hoped for and more." you pause, taking a deep breath to steady yourself. "but I promise this is just the beginning, thanks to my label wavy. there will be a next time, and it's going to be even better and bigger."
the crowd cheers, and you can't stop yourself from laughing softly. "oh, and one last thing before I go," you add, a playful smile tugging at your lips. "I'm working on something special! a debut album! a few songs including the two I have just performed."
the reaction is instant—a wave of excited chatter and applause that makes you smile wider, your heart full and light.
" i wasn't gonna say anything but... well, you've seen my twitter. i can't keep secrets, can I?" even through the overwhelming emotion, everyone laughs including you. "thank you so, so much," you say, waving eagerly as the lights dim. "you've made tonight unforgettable. I'll see you all soon!"
as you exit, the applause follows you, the sound echoing in your ears like a promise. you can't stop smiling even as you step backstage, letting the emotions of the night finally catch up to you. this moment, you know, is one you'll carry on for the rest of your life.
as you pack your guitar and change into something comfier—a hoodie and sweatpants—jia knocks on the door. you fix your hair before yelling, "come in!"
the door opens and she steps inside, watching you set your guitar case on the table.
"did you need something? i'm almost ready, I just needed to fix myself up." you say to her.
she shakes her head, smiling almost mischievously. "it's alright, I'll help you with your things. there's a surprise out in the cafe, along with a beverage that the owner made. you might want to check it out."
"aw, the owner didn't have to. oh, and what surprise?"
"you'll see." jia says, tugging at your arm and pushing you out. "you've got your personal items and everything, we'll take care of the rest. have a good night y/n."
"thanks?" you chuckle, stepping out.
you head out and see a few employees wiping the tables down. thankfully, your fans weren't messy at all. they cleaned up after themselves and threw their cups away without asking. you really are lucky.
there's a hot chocolate waiting by the barista area with a beautiful heart design. you take a picture before reading the note beside it:
"congratulations! we are honored to have you here as our musical guest. we hope to have you here again soon :)
—gomdori cafe <3"
you smile at the little note, folding it neatly and placing it in your pocket before you feel a tap on your shoulder. when you turn around, your eyes widen immediately.
yunjin and hanni are standing there with big smiles gracing their faces, amusement flooding their features as your reaction deepens.
"nice performance!" yunjin beams before you tackle her into a hug, nearly cutting off her air supply.
"what the fuck are you doing here? i thought you were busy?" you say into her neck.
"even if i were, i'd drop anything to watch my best friends first concert. that was wonderful." yunjin mumbles, tightening her embrace.
"you're insane." you scoff, pulling away and pushing her shoulder teasingly. “is this what you were fucking posting about? oh my god, i should’ve known.”
then, you turn to hanni. just seeing her makes your heart swell. she's grinning still from the interaction between yunjin, then widening her eyes as you pull her in for a hug as well. it's sudden but just right.
hanni is a little smaller, so you kind of engulf her in your arms. but you're warm, smell good, and really cute, so she hugs you back with the same force. yunjin watches you two with a smirk, noticing the undertones of the moment.
"surprise." she says sweetly.
"i can't believe you came too." you shift your weight on both feet as you hug her. "thank you."
hanni pulls away and smiles, looking into your eyes and making you blush.
"i wouldn't miss this, i'm your biggest fan." she jokes.
yunjin laughs, shaking her head. "this was hanni's idea, actually."
"really?" you ask.
"yup. she texted me when you made the announcement. we both wanted to surprise you."
you sigh, shaking your head. "you guys are terrible. were you here the whole time?"
hanni nods. "mhm. heard all of your awkward reactions too."
"oh shut up." you groan.
"it was cute though." hanni says quieter than before, rolling her eyes at you. “and you did great, so don’t worry.”
yunjin catches the spark between you immediately, raising her brows at the sight but not commenting.
the three of you then head out, yunjin and hanni congratulate and compliment you (though not without teasing), and you are left the happiest you've ever been. this was definitely a night to remember: you, your fans, the music, and two of the people you care about.

A blurb for Max Verstappen where he does his best to keep you and the kids away from the Drive to Survive netflix crew but wants you around the new docuseries being filmed about Max and his life off the track
"Netflix people are going to be in our garage tomorrow morning", Max said as he came out of the ensuite bathroom, careful with the noise he was making as the kids were in the living room area of the hotel room, the sofas turning into beds so they could sleep near you still despite the half wall that created a sense of separation between the spaces.
"So we'll just join you for the afternoon then", you added, showing him your understood what he meant, "have you spoken to them about us not wanting their faces shown in the show? You know how they sometimes record the paddock and other people show. I know it's inevitable sometimes, mas maybe blurr it out or something", you tried.
"Yes, I spoke to them this morning. They seemed understanding enough, although there was the usual comment of why and if they could do this or that", Max shrugged, getting in the bed next to you, "what did you tell them?", you wondered.
"Didn't let them get too far. They already know where we stand with you and the kids showing up, so there's not need to beat around the bush again and again. They're butthurt because you appear on the docuseries, but it sounds like it's a their problem and not ours, so I'm not too fussed. And neither should you be", he smiled, kissing your cheek and letting you snuggle up to him.
.
"Are you ready, Y/N?", one of the producers asked as they arranged the camera on your car so it could catch both you and the person asking the questions.
"I'm going to pick up the kids from school now, they're at a very good age now where it's not hard getting them to leave the house in the morning because they love going to school, but also not too hard to get them to leave school because they also love being at home and know they'll see their friends tomorrow", you chuckled, remembering Finn's tantrum when you wanted to take him home and he wanted to stay in school because he wanted to keep paying with his friends whose parents were running a little bit late to pick them up too.
"Is it hard juggling all of this with Max being away for some good chunks of time every now and again?", she asked as you stopped at a red light.
"It isn't as hard as before", you reasoned, "when they were younger and their needs were different, I relied a lot on my mother in law and my parents whenever Max wasn't home, which was really mostly weekends because he arranged the schedule and RedBull made it work. But now they're older and they're at a stage where they are a little bit more independent and, honestly, we just take each day as it comes and go from there", you smiled.
"How is parenting along with Max?", she wondered, "you know, there are many moments in parenting where you think 'this is definitely not the way we should do this but it works for now so we just stick to it' - and you really hope for the best in these cases -, but last week we both went to a parent-teacher meeting and both teachers said that the kids were doing well, they were kind, empathetic, respectful. - And what is there more to ask, you know? - we both got out of the meeting and we're like 'yeah, this parenting thing is going just fine',", you smiled, "obviously, we got home to our little girl having a meltdown about not being able to fly, but really? It's an amazing journey parenting with Max, even when he has to tell our daughter that that's not something humans do and let her mourn a capacity she never had", you chuckled.
(Thank you for your submission ✨️)

Call It What You Want Pt.3
Pt.1 Pt.2 Pt.4 Pt.5 Pt.6
Summary: You get together with your friends to catch up on life and they're skeptical about what you're doing with Regina. A house party at Shane Oman's house gives Regina the chance to prove them wrong
Pairings: Regina George x Gender Neutral/Fem Reader
Warnings: internalized homophobia, underage drinking, drug use (there's some coke involved, but nothing too crazy I promise)
Notes: Hi! Chapter 3 and I'm just having so much fun with these. Listen, I know there's another party, but it's college. I'm keeping it realistic lol but also, next chapter will be a small time jump and they'll get more well established. Just trying to have some fun and build it up and see how things are shifting I guess?? Anyway, I really hope you like this chapter as well and thank you all for taking the time to read. Also, slight mention of drug use, but just a little dabble. But TW just in case. But I kept it not super crazy and kinda light for that reason
///
You were at your desk with your headphones on, doing your best attempt to do the readings for one of your classes that was due tomorrow. You always had a tendency to wait until the last minute for things, citing the excuse that working under pressure helps you think better. College may be testing the limits of that theory, but so far you haven't failed anything horrendously. It's only been a month since classes started though so there's still time.
Two arms wrapped around you from behind, caressing your chest and collarbone. You shot forward in your seat, ripping your headphones off your head and whipping your chair around to confront your roommate for majorly crossing a fucking boundary when you were met with a laughing Regina instead.
"Chill out, it's just me. Your roommate let me in before they left."
You stared up at her waiting for your heart to calm down. Though, staring at her wasn't doing you much good cause now it was just beating faster in a whole different way.
She was dressed up, her oversized designer purse that she uses for her backpack was sitting by your doorway so you know she must have stopped here right after class.
Something about that makes you feel all warm and giddy inside.
You also try not to think about the fact that you haven't seen her in like almost two weeks though.
"What brings you by?" You leaned forward, resting your forehead against her stomach and closing your eyes when her hands find their way to your scalp, massaging softly.
"I wanted to see you. I've just been busy with classes and soccer stuff lately." She gave your hair a tug so you would tilt your head back and look at her.
"When's your first game?" You questioned, your hands finding the backs of her thighs because that's what was within your reach and you almost felt like if you weren't touching her right now, you would implode.
"We've already had like three games."
"Oh." You said, your eyebrows furrowed. The hands on the back of her thighs faltered slightly and you didn't realize how much you wanted to be present at one of her games until you basically found out you were probably never going to be invited.
"Why the face?" She frowned, rubbing her thumb between your eyebrows to essentially try to get you to fix your face.
"Can I come see you play?"
"Uh," her voice was a touch higher than normal and you knew whatever was about to fly out of her mouth was either going to be a lie or something you probably didn't want to hear.
"Don't worry about it." You shook your head and gave her a tight lipped smile, leaning back in your chair.
"Stop, don't be like that." She straddled your lap and you tightened your grip on the back of her thighs because the last thing you needed was for her to fall. "I just can't have any distractions while I'm there."
"No, yeah. That makes sense." You agreed for the sake of moving past this conversation, but you also weren't really looking at her either. She gripped your face with both her hands, forcing you to look at her.
"Stop, Y/N." Her tone sounded less playful and you knew you just needed to let it the fuck go. You nodded and she squeezed your cheeks, pushing your lips out and planting a kiss on your lips. You quickly caught her lips for a second kiss before she could pull away and you could feel her smile against your lips.
She slid her hands down and cupped your neck, deepening the kiss. You could feel her rubbing her thumbs along your jawline and having Regina George sitting on your lap kissing you has to be what heaven feels like.
"I have to finish my homework." You mumbled against hers lips, pulling her closer to you by the backs of her thighs. She responds by grinding down into you, shaking her head no. You gasped when her hips moved against you again and she wasted no time slipping her tongue into your mouth.
"Fuck your homework." She said before bringing you in for another heated kiss.
It was tempting. God, it was so fucking tempting. The way she was grinding against you was making your brain short circuit so you know trying to get anything done would be impossible.
"Stay here with me and hangout." You pulled away from the kiss to look at her, pushing some stray hairs from her face. "Ren will be gone for a while. It'll just be us. I can order pizza, too."
"Ugh, I guess I could do some homework, too." She said begrudgingly.
"You probably should if you want to keep playing soccer."
"You probably should if you want to keep playing soccer." She mocked, rolling her eyes at you.
But the fact that she had her arms draped over your shoulder and had been twirling the hairs at the back of your neck around her finger really made you feel like she was not as upset about spending time with you as she was trying to let on.
"What kind of pizza do you want, beautiful?" You sneak in one more quick kiss because you just couldn't help it.
"Would you judge me if I just said cheese?"
"Never."
You both just stared at each other in silence for a few moments. One of Regina's hands moved to cup your cheek, her thumb swiping against your cheekbone. She leaned in and pressed a soft, slow kiss against your lips.
"I'm gonna change and get everything I need from my room. I'll be back." She gave you one more quick kiss before getting off your lap and you felt almost desperate the way you tried to keep your hands on her until she walked out of reach. So desperate that even having your fingertips on her felt better than nothing.
She took her keys from her bag and left it sitting against your wall. There was no question about whether or not she was coming back. When she closed the door behind her you hopped out of your desk chair and to to work on straightening up your room.
You fixed your bed, moved some clothes out of the way that were in the way. You had this bean-bag lounge chair thing that your mom got you and you pulled it out from the little space between the wall and your dresser where you shoved it because it took up way too much room to keep out daily.
You plopped onto the chair and called to order a large cheese pizza, opting to order from a nicer place instead of Dominos since Regina would be joining you. You got a soda for yourself and a sparkling water for Regina and added two cannolis for dessert.
Regina knocked on your door about twenty minutes later. She was dressed in comfy sweats and a crew neck, carrying a few books and her laptop and charger.
You smiled and stepped aside to let her in.
"Sooo, I have a paper to write that's due tonight that I forgot about. Where can I plug this in?"
"You can take my desk. Let me see." You looked at her charger and nodded. "We have the same one, just use mine and plug your computer in. I only have to do some reading and annotating tonight." You carefully took her charger from her and set it on her bag.
She set all her items on your desk and started to carefully move your stuff to the side, making sure to bookmark the page you were on and to put your laptop to sleep properly before closing it.
You grabbed everything she set aside and set in on your bed, grabbing on the book you needed, your pen, and a highlighter. You took everything to the beanbag chair that was situated slightly behind your desk.
"You're so far away." She commented, turning in your chair to face you with a small pout.
You chuckled and grabbed the back of the chair, dragging it to the small space between your desk and your bed and setting it there. You picked up your book and your pens and plopped down. Regina nodded in approval and turned to her computer.
After twenty minutes of straight reading your eyes needed a break. You closed your book and stretched, looking up at Regina to see her texting. Her computer screen split between an empty google doc and the school portal that actually signed her out for inactivity.
"Have you even started?" Nudging her leg with your foot.
"Hmm?" She hummed, waiting until whatever text she was working on was sent before looking up at you.
"Your paper."
"I will. Relax." She rolled her eyes and made a face at you before turning away. Which actually kind of pissed you off a little.
"Fine. Don't come crawling to me for any fucking help then." You adjusted yourself in the beanbag chair, opening your book again and continuing to read.
You could hear Regina typing every once in a while, but when you would look up you would see her doing online shopping or pretty much anything that wasn't homework. You continued to read for almost another thirty minutes until you got a call from the pizza delivery person that they were at the front desk of your dorm.
"Did you pay? Let me pay for it." She stood up, helping you off the beanbag first before attempting to go to her bag.
You pulled her back by her wrist and pulled her into you, wrapping your other arm around her waist.
"I've got it. Don't worry about." You kissed her quickly and patted her lower back before releasing her. "Get the tv remote off Ren's desk and pick something for us to watch while we eat. I'll be right back, babe."
You grabbed your keys and slipped on your shoes so you could head downstairs.
You returned a few minutes later with the box of pizza and the bag with your drinks and dessert.
Regina had cleared off space on multiple surfaces to make room for the food and for you both to eat. She was waiting for you patiently on your bed, laying comfortably against your pillows while scrolling through the streaming app of her choice.
You set the pizza down and got everything situated. Pulling out paper plates and napkins then making plates for the both you. Regina held both your plates while you pulled out the drinks and opened them.
"You got me a drink!" She said excitedly when she saw you pop open her sparking water.
"Yeah, baby!" You set the drinks on the edge of your desk and slid in to bed next to her, taking the outside once again.
You settled on watching Schitts Creek while you ate, having to talk her out of a Real Housewives show and reminding her that she was the one we with a paper due tonight.
You watched one episode while you ate and you watched a second one to 'let your food digest', both of you settling further into your bed. Regina had her head on your chest, rubbing the part of your arm you had wrapped around her that she could reach.
Your biggest mistake was letting her convince you to put on more episode for good measure. Actually, no. Letting her pull a blanket over the both of you was the mistake.
She was out within the first five minutes of the third episode, though your fingertips rubbing her scalp weren't really helping her stay awake.
You gave her until 8:30 before turning off the show and waking her up gently. You kissed the top of her head, calling her name after every kiss until her eyes fluttered open then back closed. She buried herself deeper into your embrace.
You found her cheek and kissed it repeatedly and obnoxiously until she got annoyed enough to wake up. It was a short nap, but you can tell it was a good one just based off the redness in her face from both how she was laying and how warm and comfortable she was.
You pushed hair from her face and handed her her drink, giving her just a few minutes to fully wake up on her own without being rushed.
When Regina was fully awake, you both made your way back to your designated homework spots. You sat more comfortably this time, your legs stretched out with your feet resting on Regina's lap. Something she had actually encouraged you to do which surprised you a little.
You had no complaints about it though. Since her deadline was creeping up on her she was actually doing her work, but whenever she would pause to read something or think about what she wanted to type out next, her hands would find their way to her lap and trace patterns on your shins and ankles to help her think.
She got her paper submitted about five minutes before the deadline. Did she almost have a few mental breakdowns? Yes. Was she cursing out her professor? Also yes. But as soon as it was submitted you could tell she was visibly relieved she got it done.
"When can I see you again?" You asked her, handing her her bag as well as a small ziplock of pizza.
"Tomorrow?"
"I can't tomorrow." You shook your head. "I'm gonna be seeing Ava and Isaac tomorrow."
"Who?" She raised her eyebrow.
"My friends? From North Shore? We are gonna meet up after classes tomorrow."
"Oh."
"What? What's wrong?" You asked, immediately detecting a shift in her mood.
"You're not gonna say anything, right?"
You swallowed the lump in your throat. You were obviously hurt that she didn't want anyone knowing, but also like if she wasn't ready she wasn't ready.
"Yeah, of course. Don't worry about it." You gave her a reassuring smile and despite the night you had together, she left without kissing you goodbye.
---
You met Isaac and Ava at a burger place near your campus that they had been wanting to check out. They both went to a different university in the city so it was nice that getting together wasn't impossible because of distance.
It was just impossible because of life.
You all greeted each other excitedly and ordered your food before getting down to the nitty gritty of your catch up.
Isaac had an STI scare and told you he finally got himself put on PrEP after you had been begging him since the school year started. His parents are also filing for divorce since he and his siblings are all 18 and over which he is actually pretty thankful about cause he was sick of them together. You and Ava were shown a multitude of different Grindr profiles of the guys he's been with, offering praises for the good ones and some reality checks for the questionable folks.
Ava hasn't been too involved in the dating scene. She has begun dabbling in some drugs that were a little heftier than what was usually provided at the house parties thrown by her brother. She did tell you that if you ever hear her mention meth or heroin, that y'all had permission to get her ass to rehab. But right now, it wasn't that serious.
You definitely made them share their locations with you indefinitely though.
"So, Y/N, drop the dirty details. What's been going on with you?" Isaac asked, taking a sip of his soda.
"I've been seeing someone. Maybe? Kind of?" You felt yourself blushing just thinking of Regina.
"What do you mean maybe, kind of?" Ava jumped in defensively. It was her and Isaac's turn to play the concerned friend role with you. "Do you have a picture?"
"I do, but she's not out yet."
"What does that matter we don't know he-oh, we fucking know her don't we? From North Shore?" You nodded and Isaac smacked the table. "At your school??" You nodded again and you could see him thinking, going through the list of everyone in your class that he knew of that went to your school. Which, was not a lot. "I can only think of like five people and two of them are boys." He held up three fingers, putting them down as he went through them. "Lupe Campos, Amira Harris, and Regina George." He put his three fingers back up and wiggled them.
You shifted ever so slightly when he said Regina's name and you and Ava made eye contact. She narrowed her eyes at you and you know you've possibly been found out.
"She doesn't want to be out. I'm not-I'm not confirming anything." You managed to stutter out.
"Shane is having a party tomorrow. My parents are out of town. He invited a bunch of high school people cause you know, he def peaked in high school and can't let that shit go. Are you coming?"
The notorious Shane Oman is Ava's twin brother. Two complete different personalities (almost), but unsurprisingly they're both pretty close to each other since they're twins. Apparently he had been struggling with life lately since graduation so this party is apparently his desperate attempt at finding purpose and popularity again.
"Yeah, I'm down. Could be fun." You shrugged.
"I heard he invited Regina and she will also be going."
Okay, well, see that you didn't know.
"Good for her." You nodded, playing with your fries before pushing your plate away.
"She didn't tell you?"
"Why would she?" Isaac interrupted before you could respond. Neither you or Ava spoke, but the eye contact between the two of you was enough for Isaac to finally connect the dots. He gasped before collecting himself. "Seriously? Regina George?" He said her name barely above a whisper, being conscious of the fact that you said she wasn't out yet.
You didn't tell them, technically.
"She's actually really great and just misunderstood."
"You could make the same argument about polar bears or crocodiles." Ava argued, pushing her hair behind her ear. "You don't think that her coming to her exe's house party and not saying anything to you is, I don't know, suspicious?"
"You never fall for the straight girl." Isaac piped in and Ava snapped in agreement.
"She's just figuring herself out." You defended.
"At your expense, babe! Come on! You know better."
"It's so different when it's only us. She's just scared." Ava gave you a look that could only best be described as pity and it didn't make you feel great.
"I get you, you know I do." Isaac reached across the table and grabbed your hand to give it a reassuring squeeze. "Just be careful."
"No, yeah. I know. I am."
---
You took the Metra to Evanston early Saturday afternoon, bringing a bag with an outfit or two with you and deciding to stop by and visit your dad, step mom, and little siblings.
They all greeted you excitedly and you spent the afternoon playing with your siblings, two year old Levi and 9-month old Zoe. It gave your dad and step mom some time to themselves and it gave you time with your siblings, something you both appreciated.
You started getting ready to go around 7pm. Levi hung out with you until his bed time and when your dad came him to pick him up off your bed, he gave you the speech about being careful, to call him at anytime if you needed a ride, not to drive drunk or get in the car with anyone that has been drinking or doing drugs. Pretty much just covering all his basic before releasing you into the wild.
Isaac picked you up around 9:30pm and when you got there the house was already packed a vibrating. Definitely not to the capacity it used to be since it's a random weekend in the middle of the semester, but still pretty full nonetheless. Regina's pink jeep was parked in the driveway. She must have had the same idea as you and came to Evanston early to see her family.
The fact that she was parked in the driveway and not on the side street or the front lawn made you want to throw the fuck up.
You did particularly enjoy the fact that, as far as you knew, Regina did not know you were coming. You felt like you had the upper hand. You put extra effort into your outfit and your hair. You didn't expect her to talk to you tonight or even acknowledge you if she saw you tonight. But that didn't mean you couldn't make it difficult for her not to.
You walked into the party and past a bunch of people who have never bat an eyelash at your existence in high school. You pushed past the drunk, high, sweaty party goers with Isaac clutching your jacket and guided him through the crowed to the kitchen.
Regina was in that area, drink in hand, talking to Shane, Gretchen, and Karen. When she saw you it was like she saw a ghost. You could tell she didn't expect to see you there and that it threw her off.
You were at the counter where all the drinks were laid out, debating between a bright blue drink and a bright green one. Both looked equally questionable. You felt a presence beside you and you knew it was Regina because you could smell her perfume.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, filling up her own drink and not making any eye contact with you.
"Ava invited me. Shane's twin sister." You added for clarification.
"Shane's twin?" You turned to her to say something, but she looked at you briefly and could tell her comment annoyed you. "I'm kidding. I know he has a twin. I didn't realize your Ava and his Ava were the same." You just nodded, deciding to take a chance on the bright blue drink and putting your cup under the spigot of the cooler it was in and filling your cup.
"You look really pretty tonight." You told her before taking a sip of your drink. She blushed and pushed some hair behind her ear, topping off her own cup.
"So do you." She smiled and took a sip of her drink as well, still not turning to look in your direction.
Karen and Gretchen waved her over and Karen shouted for her to bring them more shots.
"I'm surprised you're talking with them." You made yourself look busy while she prepared their tequila shots.
"Shit is different when alcohol is involved. I miss them a lot sometimes."
"Need help?" You watched her finagle the three plastic shot glasses and the red solo cup in her grip.
"Got it." She moved past you, knocking into your shoulder and making your drink splash over slightly onto your hand.
How she prevented anything from spilling onto her was a fucking mystery.
You found Ava and Isaac in the garage with a few other people, passing around joints and bongs. You took a seat on one of the chairs Ava saved for you and she handed you a joint before your ass hit the seat.
You vibed in the garage for about two joints until Ava pulled out a small bag of coke. That cleared the room quite fast honestly. Only you, Isaac, and two other people stayed with Ava.
She offered it to everyone and Isaac refused immediately. You hesitated to say no and she smirked, asking you if you were interested. That she would make sure it was a small bump and you would be totally okay.
Sure, you had only been drinking and smoking weed prior.
You were too scared to snort it, Isaac calling you 'so real' for that. Instead you were taught how to rub it on your gums and how to let it sit under your tongue instead.
The first fifteen minutes after were great, although seeing your best friend who was like this innocent band nerd just a few months ago snort a line? That was not anything you would want to see again.
You were fine until Gretchen and Karen came in to the garage Regina-less. Something about that had you start to feel a little bit anxious.
They came in asking Ava some question about where something was and she questioned where her brother was and you were out of that room once you heard he was in his bedroom.
You felt anxious, like your heart was going to fly out of your chest. Also, weirdly enough, you felt like you could totally fight someone and win right now.
You made your way to Shane's room and saw the door closed. You turned the knob and it was locked.
"Fuck." You sighed, pressing your head against the door briefly before pulling away.
You dragged your feet down the hall to Ava's room, opening the door and shutting it quickly when you saw the room was already occupied. You made a mental note that you would hopefully remember to tell her to wash her sheets.
You were kinda feeling sick and you didn't want to go back downstairs so you walked to the very end of the long hallway by the window. It was quiet and secluded and you sat with your back against the wall so you could watch all these assholes at the party.
You weren't sure how long you had been sitting there, maybe ten minutes max. You thought it was starting to wear off, but seeing Regina coming down the hallway arguing with Ava, and Isaac hot on both of their heels, had you thinking you were hallucinating.
You leaned forward and the three of them rushed to you, Regina shoving past Ava to get to you first. You heard an 'ooop' escape from Isaac's mouth and you met his gaze with a smirk. He winked and gave you a nod.
Regina was on the floor, kneeling in front of you with your face cupped between your hands.
"Hey, are you okay? You've been missing for a fucking hour." She titled your head up to look at your eyes in the light.
"I've been up here the whole time."
"Well we asked around trying to find you, but got conflicting information. Turns out, people are fucking stupid." Ava jumped in and Regina whipped her head around to give her what you assume was the most foul look both her and Isaac had ever seen judging by their faces.
Clearly Regina and Ava have not been getting along. You squeezed your thighs together at Regina's protectiveness over you then raised an eyebrow at Isaac. He shook his head and gave you a look that told you you'd talking about it at some point later.
"I'm so sorry, guys. I had no idea. I didn't mean to scare you." You still sound a little dazed and confused, trying to figure out how that hour passed in ten minutes.
"What happened?" She asked softly, her hand under your chin and her eyes searching your face.
You thought it over, trying to remember why you even came up here in the first place. You looked around the area and your eyes bounced to Shane's bedroom door. You furrowed your eyebrows, trying to get your brain working again. Regina didn't come from Shane's bedroom. You have confirmation that she's actually been trying to find you for the last hour.
"I don't remember. It's nothing." Your eyes bounced between her face and Shane's door once more and she knew exactly what your thought process was.
She shook her head no and let her thumb brush over your bottom lip quickly when she was pulling her hands off your face. She stood up and helped you up.
"Do you want me to take you back to your dad's?" Isaac asked as soon as you were on your feet.
"What? No. I'm good. Should we get another drink or something?" The last thing you wanted to do was be more of a vibe killer than you already had been. Especially for Regina.
"Yeah! That's what I'm talking about, baby!" Ava exclaimed and gave you a high five. "Want some more?" Ava teased, giving you a playful nudge and you both laughed. She was teasing you, you knew that. Joke or not, Regina didn't like it and you could tell by the way her grip tightened on the back of your shirt. "Seriously though, you should go home. Your eyes are fucking crazy right now."
"Where's my phone?" You asked when you noticed your pockets were feeling a little light.
"I have it. Let's go." Regina tugged your shirt and nudged you forward. "I'll bring you home."
"Nobody has to bring me home. I will take an Uber or call my dad. I'm not ruining anyone's fun. I feel fine guys, honestly." You lied. You felt nauseous and dizzy. Your heart was also racing crazy fast and you aren't sure if it's from the coke or Regina's fingertips against your back. "Also, Ave, people were fucking on your bed. Before I forget."
"Ugh, what the fuck!" She stomped and busted into her room. It was empty now, but very clearly, uh, used. She abandoned you to take care of that mess and you honestly don't even blame her.
"I'm gonna take you. Let's go." She repeated, clearly eager to just get you the fuck out of there.
"I'm gonna walk out with y'all. This party just ain't it for me, honestly." He held his arm out for you and Regina nudged you toward him. You hooked your arm around his and he walked you down the stairs, Regina trailing not too far behind you. "Let me tell you something." He said when Regina was out of earshot after letting you know she was going to get her purse and say goodbye to people.
"Hmm?"
"I thought Regina was gonna beat Ava's ass, girl. She was pissed." He shoved past the last few people on the front porch and led you to Regina's car.
"Really, why?"
"Well, I ran after you trying to find you. You were like a fart in the wind. Just poof, gone. Could not find you. I swear I went upstairs and you were not there, granted, I didn't necessarily look down. I came to Ava to get her to help me find you. Mind you, at this point, Regina came in to look for Gretchen and Karen cause they were still in the garage fighting over some stupid shit with her. Regina came in and overheard I couldn't find you. Ava was dismissive at first, said you would be fine. Regina kept her cool, kept it together. But then," he rested you against her jeep. "But then she said 'it was just a little coke. They're fine.' Honey, if you didn't tell us y'all were sneaking around, she would've gave it away then and there."
"Get the fuck out. What did she do? Wait, shush she's coming." You readjusted yourself when you saw Regina approaching with her bag, a bottle of water, and her clunky keys in hand.
"Talking shit?" Was the first thing out of her mouth as soon as she got close enough, sending a smirk your way while she unlocked the car. "Thank you, Isaac." She said as he helped you get situated in the passenger seat.
"I don't even feel it anymore, guys. I really think I'm fine."
"Mmm mmm." He shook his head, reaching across you to hand Regina your seatbelt to click in. "You need some sunglasses or something you look scary."
"Goodnight, Isaac." You rolled your eyes and he pressed a kiss against your cheek. "Text me when you're home?"
"Of course. You, too, please. I'm calling you tomorrow, too. Night, Regina." He waved at you both before closing the door and making his way to his car.
You both watched in silence waiting for him to get into his car safely.
"You're gonna come to my house tonight." She stated, putting her car in drive and not really giving you an option. She pulled your phone out and handed it to you. "Text your dad. I'll bring you home in the morning."
You unlocked your phone to see a bunch of texts and calls from Isaac, Ava, and mostly Regina. You can tell at some point, they all found your phone or realized you didn't have it because the messages stopped around the same time.
The final message Regina had sent you on their quest to locate you, after a slew of semi annoyed ones, or about how it wasn't funny, or that she was actually worried, was simply just 'baby please'. You stared at the words for a minute, letting the words burn into your brain before you were pulled from your thoughts and asked you if you texted him.
"Oh, yeah. Yes." You shot him a quick message and he responded almost immediately. He must've have been awake watching tv or playing a video game, but he's always been a night owl like that. Especially on weekends. He told you to be safe and to call if you needed anything. "Are you sure it'll be okay that I'm there? I can go home. I really think I'll be okay."
"Stop."
"Okay, sorry." You settled into the seat, turning your knees away from her. You felt bad about ruining the party for her, ruining her night, making her feel like he has to bring you home with her and take of you.
You were probably overthinking and maybe still slightly paranoid, but it just wasn't a great feeling.
She clicked her tongue in annoyance and reached across your seat, grabbing your knee furtherest away from her and giving it a tug so they were back facing her direction. She kept her hand planted firmly on your knee until she pulled into the drive way of her mansion. Which, yeah, understandable.
She parked in what was probably an eight car garage and led you inside of the house. There was a light left on in the main stairway for her, but otherwise it seemed the rest of the house was asleep. When you tried taking your shoes off at the door so you weren't too loud, she told you everyone took their sleeping pills for the night and would be too knocked out to hear a damn thing.
She led you up to her room and closed the door behind her. Your eyes widened, taking in the space. It felt bigger than your mom's apartment.
"Here." She was smirking when she handed you a pair of clothes to wear for the night. A grey long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of pink sweatpants that had 'slut' written on the back.
"You think you're so cleverrrr."
"I do, actually. And funny. Plus, I think I deserve it for what you put me through."
"I want to lay down so bad I'm not even going to fight you on it." You wouldn't admit it aloud, but they did look comfortable.
"And I want a picture."
"Okay, don't push it." You gave her a pointed look. She laughed and kissed your lips once, then a second time. She let the second kiss linger a little longer, her hand resting on your cheek and her body melting into you.
"I'm gonna shower. I don't care what time it is, I'm taking advantage of my big shower before going back to school. Will you be okay?" She swiped her thumbs across your cheeks and you nodded.
"In that big ass bed? Yeah I'll be so good."
Regina left to the attached bath to take her shower and you changed your clothes. You folded your clothes and put them on her chair. You changed into the clothes she gave you and hummed at how comfortable they were.
You climbed into her bed and picked the side you thought would be correct based off how everything was situated. You layed on top of the covers and sighed when your head hit the pillow. The beds at the dorms sucked, but this bed was also comfier than any other bed you've been on.
You closed your eyes, listening to the sound of the water coming from Regina's bathroom. You heard her come out of the bathroom at some point. She was walking around the room, doing a bunch of things but you were too lazy to open your eyes and see what.
The bed dipped and you felt her slide into the space next to you. The smell of her floral body wash and shampoo flooding your sense.
Her lips pressed against your cheek and her hand found it's way up your shirt to rest on your stomach to trace patterns around your belly button. You smiled and squirmed a little cause it tickled. You felt her smile against your cheek and she pressed a quick kiss to your lips before pulling away.
"Hey." You mumbled in protest, cracking an eye open to see she was adjusting the towel for her hair.
She laughed at your impatience and got herself comfortable again, supporting her head with her hand to keep it off her pillows for now. Her other hand found its way to the waistband of your pants, twirling the drawstring.
"These look good on you. Pink is totally your color." You grunted and she laughed through her nose. "I definitely need to see the back in action though. Give me a little turn." She nudged your hip and you let out a loud laugh, turning on your stomach for her. "So gorg, babe!" She was laughing with you, her hand coming down to smack your ass cheek a few times, which sent you both into a fit of giggles.
She wrapped an arm around you and buried her face between your shoulder blades. You tugged her arm to pull her closer to you and laced your fingers together. She shifted behind you and the towel on her head went zooming across the room. You settled deeper into her chest and her grip around you tightened.
"Will you need a ride back to school tomorrow?"
"I was just gonna take the train back."
"Ew, no. I'll take you to get your stuff from your dad's and we can go together
"Cool, thank you." You nodded, feeling yourself start to fall asleep. Regina kissed the back of your head and began to pull away.
"I need to do my skin and hair routine. Get under the covers and go to sleep."
"S'fine." You mumbled, already too far gone and making no effort to move whatsoever.

2025 Ranmaru Birthday – The Day the Tears Fell
Translations may not always capture the exact nuances or tone of the original text. Expect grammatical errors and inaccuracies.
Tumblr media
It happened on an early summer day, when the wind had just begun to carry the season's heat.
Maid 1: "Lord Ranmaru's birthday is coming up soon. I bet they'll hold a feast."
Maid 2: "I can't wait! I wonder what I should get him this year."
The entire castle was buzzing with excitement over Ranmaru's upcoming birthday.
(That's so like Ranmaru—everyone loves him.)
(I should think of a gift, too. I wonder what kind of celebration he would enjoy.)
As I stood there lost in thought, watching the cheerful maids chat, a familiar face came walking toward me down the hallway.
Mitsunari: "Lady Mai."
Mitsunari: "Pardon the sudden question, but have you seen Ranmaru today?"
Mai: "No, I haven't. Do you need him for something?"
Mitsunari: "Yes. Someone came by earlier to see him."
Tumblr media
Ranmaru: "Huh? Me?"
Ranmaru peeked out from behind Mitsunari, his pink hair swaying.
(Perfect timing.)
Mai: "Looks like you've got a visitor."
Ranmaru: "A visitor?"
He blinked, looking puzzled.
Ranmaru: "Who? I don't remember having anything scheduled today."
He tilted his head, then headed off to greet the guest.
Tumblr media
Later that afternoon…
(I finished work early. Maybe I'll head into town and look at some fabric.)
I wandered alone through the castle grounds and spotted a familiar figure.
(Is that...?)
It was Ranmaru, speaking with an elderly man by the roadside.
(Who is that?)
(Is he the visitor from earlier?)
At that moment, Ranmaru happened to look up.
Ranmaru: "Ah, Lady Mai!"
Old Man: "Good afternoon."
Mai: "Good afternoon. Sorry for interrupting."
As I stepped closer and bowed, the old man gave me a warm smile.
Old Man: "No worries. I'm the one who dropped by uninvited."
Ranmaru: "Yeah, it really caught me off guard."
Old Man: "Well, I happened to be in the area, so I thought I'd stop by and see how you were doing."
Ranmaru: "I'm glad you came. You look well!"
Ranmaru: "Are you still living in that village? The one just outside the castle town?"
Old Man: "Yeah, nothing's changed."
(They seem close.)
From the way they talked, I could tell they'd known each other for a long time.
(Even with the big age gap, nothing about their interaction feels stiff or formal.)
(I wonder what kind of relationship they have.)
Tumblr media
As I tilted my head in confusion, Ranmaru turned his gaze toward me.
Ranmaru: "Are you curious about what kind of relationship we have?"
Mai: "Was it that obvious?"
Ranmaru: "Pretty much. But that honesty is one of your best qualities, Lady Mai."
He chuckled and whispered playfully.
Ranmaru: "To put it simply, he's someone who's kept my secret for a long time."
(Secret?)
I tilted my head, and the old man beside me let out a small gasp.
Old Man: "Ranmaru, are you sure it's okay to tell her?"
Ranmaru: "Yeah. She's special."
(Huh?)
That one word—special—spoken so casually, made my heart skip a beat.
(What does he mean by that?)
Old Man: "I see, I see."
Whether he noticed how flustered I was or not, the old man simply kept nodding, clearly pleased.
Old Man: "I'm an old man now. Maybe it's not such a bad thing to let one more person in on our secret."
And so, the old man began to share the secret he and Ranmaru had kept to themselves.
------------Flashback-----------
It all started with the arrival of a beautiful young man named Ranmaru Mori in Azuchi.
Cheerful, capable, and charming, he quickly won over the castle's residents, and word of him soon spread through the town.
Old Man: "A monster in the river?"
Villager 1: "Yes. They say something thrashes around in the water at night."
Villager 2: "Some even claim they've heard terrifying groans."
In a quiet village just outside the castle town, the elder—the same old man—had been hearing troubling reports from the villagers.
Villager: "Everyone's too scared. Lately, no one even wants to go near the river."
Old Man: "I see…"
Old Man: "All right. I'll go take a look myself."
Later that night.
With nothing but a small lantern to light the way, the old man headed down to the river—where he came face-to-face with the so-called monster.
Old Man: "You're…?"
Tumblr media
Ranmaru: "Who are you?"
Standing in the river was a beautiful young man.
Old Man: "Hm?"
Looking more closely, the old man saw that the youth was limping, his eyes red and swollen.
Old Man: "Are you... hurt?"
Ranmaru: "………."
Old Man: "Here, let me take a look."
Gently lowering the lantern, the old man tried to approach the young man, but the latter stopped him.
Ranmaru: "Don't come any closer."
Ranmaru: "I just tripped over some rocks and fell, that's all."
Old Man: "I see. Then, would you mind sticking around for a bit?"
The old man sat a short distance away from Ranmaru and began talking about the rumors spreading in the village about a monster in the river.
Ranmaru: "You think that monster is me?"
Old Man: "Yes."
Ranmaru's eyes widened in surprise.
Ranmaru: "I didn't mean to scare anyone. I'm sorry."
He didn't look like a monster at all—just an ordinary, kind-hearted young man.
Old Man: "It's all right. Once the truth's out, the villagers will feel more at ease."
Old Man: "Still, what were you doing in the river at this hour?"
Tumblr media
Ranmaru: "Um, it's kind of embarrassing, but I was reminiscing a bit."
Ranmaru: "I lost my father when I was still very young."
Ranmaru: "Every summer, he used to take me to the river and teach me how to swim."
Ranmaru: "Whenever this season comes around, I always find myself thinking of him. And this river feels a bit like the place we used to go."
Old Man: ".....…"
After a brief silence, the old man turned to face Ranmaru again.
Old Man: "Thank you for sharing that with me."
Old Man: "Starting tomorrow, no one from the village will come here again—not even me."

my "these people crabbing SUCK at time loops" au. complete crack but by god i'm going to work this all out in a logical enough way.
SASASAAP goes as normal. Siffrin wishes for help, gets Loop'd, all well and good. Then we go into any "party member looping" au. I will start with Odile here but it could be basically any order. Odile learns about Wish Craft very slowly, but she DOES work it out. Then, a good few hundred loops in, without consulting Loop, ALSO makes a wish. Gets Loop'd as well (different appearance but that doesnt matter too much.)
This continues. Mira has a terrible time in the loops BUT she has two guides. That's just great. And to the surprise of both guides, despite having done this exact thing, she ends up working out stuff with wishes, gets chucked under the Favor Tree with all the other understudies, and the gang collectively decide to go and tell whoever walks up next to Not Make Any Wishes For The Love Of The Universe/Gems/Change.
Isa does his best. He does hold off on the single unexplored avenue for ages. Lasts the longest of anyone else! Learns all there is to learn ASIDE FROM WISH CRAFT. And no one really wants to give him a straight answer on the Don't Make Wishes thing. So he works out how to learn about it. (Mira and Odile mostly questioned the King and Euphrasie, Isa gets good at nudging Siffrin into talking about things.) So there the four of the failed time loopers are, just sitting under the VERY CROWDED Favor Tree.
They stop keeping any secrets when they work out that Bonnie's at it now. This doesn't help much. Bonnie just has Weird Backup Party off at the tree doing basically nothing helpful, and so whatever they say NOT to do. Really does not mean much. They don't ACT like the people they say they are anymore, so how is Bonnie supposed to believe them? Bonnie lasts the least amount of time out of all of them before ending up under the tree with the rest, beating Mira's record by a solid few dozen loops.
No one knows who is going to show up next. Odile thinks they'll wrap around and Siffrin will start looping, Isa and Mira place their bet on random people in the town looping next, Loop thinks no one will and it'll be left to them, and Bonnie is not in the mood to be guessing about these things.
Euphrasie time. Wakes up at the top of the House, a day before the saviors climb it. Has a SOLID freak-out about the loops, being stuck in time forever, all that, then gets to trying to solo the King. Doesn't work. Takes probably ~40 loops of that before she finally tries to descend the House and get help. Tree Gang off to the side have had absolutely no clue what was going on until suddenly Oh That's The Head Housemaiden. In Dormont. and they find a way to pull her to the side and explain the situation as best they can.
Euphrasie has a very good run of things. Keeps climbing the House with the saviors and killing the King, Mirabelle (non-tree gang) is doing great with someone else to take the lead, she gets the Change God meeting and after a brief Hey My God Is A BITCH crisis of faith, which she just shuffles to the side to deal with Later, roughly resolves to try and kickstart time again via (oh no) carefully-worded wish. doesn't word it carefully enough. whoops.
from the House, the Tree Gang hears Infinite Explosions. Mira and Euphrasie take a bit to work out who that is, and yeah, Claude is doing her best up there. She's doing the exact same Throw Yourself At The King thing Euphrasie was. but WORSE. eventually the loops lengthen as Claude descends the House to level up and try to find more stuff to attack the King with. The Tree Gang never gets the chance to talk to her. the SAVIORS do, but there's not many ways the Tree Gang can talk to them all from a distance. Claude has a middle of the road loop count, works out wishcraft, pops up beneath the tree.
And then? No one new. The seven of them lounge under the tree for a full two days, the King's Curse freezes everything, then they're back, and no one is acting differently. It takes a bit for them to realize that this is it, but once they do, they steal all the orbs from the Saviors while they're all asleep, and climb the House together. this is GREAT for them. they have all (minus Claude, at this point in time) been SO bored. collectively, they're doing awesome. they're all weird Things that aren't going to be terribly in-place anywhere, but they've gotten kind of isolationist anyways, so. They just collectively guess they'll leave Dormont after this, if they ever get out.
Euphrasie and Claude are the only ones who really feel attached to the specific location, anymore. Euphrasie had a job and a life here, but she's functionally a backup, compared to the other Head Housemaiden, frozen at the top of the House, and after the talk with the Change God, she thinks she needs a bit to think over the faith she threw herself so deeply into. Claude wants to see everything restored, the people and places she cares about, but she's gotten sick of the place without any sort of respite.
They kill the King first try, everyone wakes up, it's early morning on the second day of the loop, the Head Housemaiden wakes up, absolutely nothing breaks, and they just sorta. Leave before anyone notices them. Euphrasie shows them all her route down the side of the House. Odile can't make herself climb down, so Isa carries her. They hit the ground and skedaddle off to who knows where. Bonnie still wants to see their sister, and the Tree Gang probably ends up in Bambouche for a while. Petronille suddenly has two younger siblings. Sibling duplication glitch.
