Charmed Characters & Driving
Prue Halliwell - great driver, v responsible and all. Never got a ticket or anything! The default driver of the sisters. Her car is tidy and organized, like there's a little trash can in there and everything.
Piper Halliwell - she's a good driver, but goodness she gets road rage sometimes. People will do something stupid, and she'll be yelling in the car. She's not a fan of letting other ppl drive. Her car is clean, but full of cooking materials, toys, and other stuff that comes with having a restaurant and small children. Y'know the portable DVD players? Yeah, there's at least one in there.
Phoebe Halliwell - no. She has flirted her way out of multiple tickets. It doesn't help that she ran off to New York relatively young and as an inexperienced driver and then when she came back, she got premonitions that made driving a challenge. Her car is disorganized as hell, full of lipglosses, newspaper copies, and whatever else she puts in there.
Paige Matthews - surprising to most people, Paige is actually the most responsible and cautious driver. She was the DD a lot during college, and she does not play with car safety. (It clicks for her sisters after the events of a Paige in the Past.) Also has a super disorganized car, but in the way where she can find exactly what she's looking for and you're like wtf.
Andy Trudeau - look at him being responsible and all- Andy, you missed the turn again. (Great driver! Terrible at actually paying attention to where he's going bc he's focused on a case. Darryl tries to drive most of the time.) It's not that his car is a mess, but this man is constantly toting his files back and forth with him. There's probably like three occult books in the backseat that he's studying for this case. That said, he can have a bag with food wrappers in the passenger floodboard when he's highly focused on a case.
Darryl Morris - excellent driver and can switch between police chase and civilian driving extraordinarily well. He has a very organized car, but the back has DJ and Michael's extracurricular activities, Sheila's gardening supplies, and whatever else they have going on.
Leo Wyatt - genuinely, he's actually a good driver. He's fascinated by cars in the modern era. That said, he drives Piper insane bc while he's a good driver, he is very cautious and slow. He follows the speed limit to the letter. The car is organized, but they mostly use Piper's bc he does a lot of restoring cars that aren't practical for their family.
Cole Turner - technically never actually learned how to drive, so he kinda speeds everywhere. Has super nice cars, and it very much fits the hotshot demon lawyer persona. Surprisingly does not have as much road rage as you'd expect, but he isn't a fan of other people driving. His car is empty, what the fuck are you supposed to put in a car?
Coop - does not know how to drive. Big fan of walkable cities, bike rides, etc. bc it's more romantic. Very little about driving is romantic. He eventually learns, but still. Not really a big driver.
Henry Mitchell - for law enforcement, he sure as hell speeds a lot. He may have done some slightly illegal racing when he was younger. Tries to make sure that he's following all the laws in front of his parolees, but he still slips up sometimes. He doesn't want to talk about the speeding tickets. His car is a mess, but it gets slightly better after Paige calls him out on it. Not intentionally messy, but it's just like... what else is he supposed to do with those receipts?
Chris Halliwell - so, fun fact: the world ended when he was a teenager. He learned to drive on the run through stealing cars. Piper asked him to pick something up for her one time, and never again. (See here.) An absolute menace on the road, and definitely had caused multiple wrecks in the future. (It's okay though, it was witch hunters and Wyatt's forces.)
Billie Jenkins - lowkey shitty driver, but not like. dangerously shitty. Probably has a speeding ticket and way too many parking tickets. Can't parallel park to save her life. Her car is kinda messy, but more like typical college girl mess with textbooks and clothes and this is why she never studies bc all of her textbooks are just in the backseat somewhere.

okay fuck it here's how I think The Office characters would react to I Saw the TV Glow
(My source: I am trans and deeply hyperfixated on the office, I Saw the TV Glow fills me with intense dread)
This is not me saying all the characters or trans or whatever and this likely won't be close to canon but idc, if you do please leave thanks!
Michael Scott:
I think he'd be very confused he'd say it's an okay movie but it made his skin crawl it was unnerving and he didn’t know how to describe the way it made him feel. Eventually the trans meaning is explained to him and he's just like "oh okay" and then he has to sit down awhile.
Jim Halpert:
If I live in my hc world where I hc transmasc Jim I definitely think it would effect him, he'd take a sick day and spend some extra time with his kids, hoping they never feel they have to suppress themselves like he did for so long. (In my hc he doesn't transition until his 20s)
Kevin Malone:
Kevin would watch it with Oscar because he didn't want to watch it alone and it confuses him. When they leave the cinema he asks Oscar what everything meant and Oscar being who he is obviously knew what the movie was about told Kevin and I think he had to rewatch the movie and when he did it like hit woah... that's me. (He/She bigender transfem Kevin I love you)
Ryan Howard:
He would not admit it but it deeply hurt him he watched it with Kelly and ended up crying in her arms afterwards.
Pam Beesly:
I think she wouldn't really understand it but seeing peoples reactions to it both in person and online would make her feel happy that it exists. She likes that trans people can be seen she understands it wasn't made for her but appreciates it none the less.
Dwight Schrute:
He understood it, he's definitely a harsh critic though he read a lot of reviews prior to the movie and he acknowledges it's impact for the trans community but didn't find it interesting and compares it to Donnie darko (which is not a bad thing to me okay Dwight is a hater! I like donnie darko)
Andy Bernard:
He didn't get it at first then he read one review for it online and started sobbing he's really happy that trans people feel seen and the empath he is donates $100 to the Trevor project immediately after bc he feels so bad.
Kelly Kapoor:
She didn't get it, she knows it's about trans people just didn't really care. It wouldn't make her emotional she likely wasn't paying much attention though.
Oscar Martinez:
He is a critic first gay second /j I think he would've liked it. Wouldn't have loved it and would've probably had some critiques he wouldn't air out bc he knows it wasn't marketed towards him.
Angela Martin:
Would not feel anything, probably wouldn't even watch the movie bc she heard it was woke. She would judge it very harshly.
Gabe Lewis:
No matter how you hc Gabe he is so incredibly trans to me so there is no doubt this movie is making him ball his eyes out, he tells Jo about it and needing a day off and she's just like "I get it sweet pea take all the time you need" (she also watched it and loved it #ally)
Creed Bratton:
He liked it but didn't understand the meaning At all. He's just here for the weird vibes.
Stanley Hudson:
He didn't understand and can't be bothered to understand it.
Holly Flax:
It hurt her for sure I think being a demigirl took her a lot to accept and this movie would be her breaking point.
Erin Hannon:
I don't think she'd get it at first but then someone would explain the meaning and I think it'd take her awhile to be like... oh that's me. (Genderfluid/pangender Erin I love you) but when she does get it she recommends it to anyone who ever asks her about her gender.
Robert California:
Really think he'd be a film nerd and a movie reviewer he would know what it was about but he didn't care for it.
Toby Flenderson:
He wouldn't watch it because of the reactions he's seen online of sad trans people he doesn't want to experience that pain.
Darryl Philbin:
He'd pretend to get it but he doesn't and is confused the whole time.
Meredith Palmer:
She wouldn't really get it but she'd fuck with the donnie darko vibes
Phyllis Lapin Vance:
It would scare her
Karen Filippelli:
She wouldn't get it but would appreciate it's existence. She read more about the film and be like "Yeah not for me but cool"
Roy Anderson:
Would not understand it, would not like it.
Pete Miller:
Would explain what it was about to Erin bc I think he would understand it. Wouldn't particularly care for it too much but bc it was a big part of Erin's gender discovery he's happy it exists.
Clark Green:
He'd get it and he'd be a nerd about it
David Wallace:
He'd cry and wouldn't understand why.
Nellie Bertram:
She is confused as hell but will comfort anyone who is upset after watching it

Andy Trudeau is definitely a favorite of mines. His introduction is actually great. We're told immediately he's open-minded and has emotional intelligence. Even if he doesn't believe in magic (at that time), he has no problem considering people do. He thinks outside the box and that's why he's a good inspector. He has good instincts and comes with (insane) theories that are mostly proven to be true.
His duo with Darryl is fun to follow. They trust one another. Despite thinking Andy's theories are crazy (sometimes), he knows the man has good instincts and agrees to work with him. They're loyal and respect one another and sometimes make fun of one another. And it's very nice to watch. It's actually healthy. And I like watching them work together and try to discover the truth. The investigation side of the show is a great addition to the "paranomal" context of Charmed.
I'd like to add Andy has always been a great friend to Prue, Piper and Phoebe. And he seems to be a great partner in general. I liked Andy & Prue so much. They were cute and had (believable) tension. I usually hate the drama in couples, but there's, it's actually great. Not too much, enough for you to understand both sides. Prue can't tell him her secret, and he gets frustrated by it. The fact he's a cop and Prue a witch who saves people make them interract at conflicted times. Plus, they're both independent character. I mean, neither of them loses their personality, values or objectives. Idk I like that couple and if he had live, I tend to think they could have solved their issues. Honestly, Andy dying broke my heart... I almost stopped watching the show.

i love andy and darryl so much btw. and andy's intro in the show being like, not necessarily a believer but into the 'weird' shit being kind of a precursor to him being drawn into the world of magic--a world he'd always been kind of on the outskirts of, as we see when the girls go back in time and little andy is playing with them before they had their magic bound--and specifically into prue's orbit.
it makes what happens later, with prue using that spell to find out if andy could accept her and him not being able to give her the answer she wants because he only had like 12 hours to think about it before the spell ended, so much more tragic. especially since once he finds out for real, he does accept her. all of her. he dies for her. he would have lived for her, if only she would let him. 😭😭😭
also i think the moment i first fell in love with andy trudeau was this moment in the pilot, when darryl says the cat was scratching the hell outta everyone else and he just scoops her up and she lets him and loves him. that man is a KEEPER

So excited to share with you all my completely fabricated lore about the Oak-Garcias’ coworkers. Gina, Greg, Jane, and Kirk (from Cummingtonite) my beloveds ❤️ Also the three doctors from that one rap battle about different types of rock. I have entire personalities for them. I just really love OC-ifying characters who are barely canon. Like the miscellaneous soccer players in Silver Linings :) Jeff.. my favorite lil guy…

i think. had andy not died. he still probably would have left the police force and become a spooky private investigator But darryl would stay in the force and they would stay buddies/partners and slide cases back and forth to each other

Something that I feel a lot of fans forget when they get angry at Phoebe for refusing to help Cole in the Wasteland is that he's not just asking her to save him. Despite saying that the Source is gone, he very intentionally still asks her to be evil. That's not me being dramatic or anything either because that's very explicitly canon. Phoebe, even as a Charmed One, doesn't have the power to resurrect Cole. As a good witch, she just physically (magically?) can't; it's not something within her abilities. (Obviously, otherwise, she and Piper would've resurrected Prue.)
The only method that Cole gives her to save him is the Grimoire. Y'know, the book that requires you to be evil to even touch it, much less use it. That's not something that you can trick; she would have to become evil again to even use it. He knows that, even acknowledges it to Phoebe in the Wasteland. She literally tells him that she won't use dark magic again, acknowledging it as evil. Cole isn't like oh, forgot about that! No, he asks her if she wouldn't use it "even for us." He knows what that would entail and what that would require Phoebe to do.
That isn't even getting into what the spell itself would require. This part, admittedly, is speculation but with the Grimoire being the Grimoire and resurrection like that being so rare and difficult, I have a hard time believing that the spell or ritual wouldn't have involved killing innocents. (Personal headcanon is that the spell calls for at least one heart personally. We see with Tuatha in That Old Black Magic that she uses a human heart to disempower witches. Something much worse would logically be required for a resurrection spell.) Just asking Phoebe even retrieve the Grimoire, much less use it, is bad.
As for later, she is still planning on giving up her powers, so it's not as if she'll be able to discover some other method to save him. She won't be Charmed anymore. And while, yes, the Angel of Destiny gives them some time to make this decision, there's still a time limit on how long they can take this option. Maybe with more time, Phoebe would have been able to figure out a way to save him without the Grimoire. However, it'd have required her to stay chained to a destiny that she no longer wanted and give up the future that she, and Piper, wanted: one free of magic, pain, loss, etc. So, yeah, she simply doesn't have the time, resources, or ability to save him without the Grimoire (which still isn't an option anyways). And by the time that she and Piper decide that they want to remain as witches, Cole has already freed himself, so it's a moot point anyways.
I mean, genuinely, in this situation, what did people want Phoebe to do? She didn't refuse to save Cole; she literally could not save him from the Wasteland. (And this is without delving into the argument about if Phoebe should save him or is obligated to save Cole anyways, which is a completely different question involving their relationship, choices, and morality.)

1x01 - Something Wicca This Way Comes
Rating Charmed secondary characters.
Andy Trudeau: 4/10. I remember that I liked Andy, but now I'm not too sure why. Creepy dude. Avoid at all costs.
Darryl Morris: 5/10. Only because I know he gets better, but he's so annoying and stereotyped it hurts.
Jeremy Burns: 4/10. Dude is a better boyfriend than he is a villain, and tbh he's pretty terrible at both.
Roger: 2/10. I get it, he is written to be unlikeable from the start, but the actor does a pretty good job making him completely insufferable. Prue really has terrible taste in guys.
Kit, the Cat: 10/10. Perfection.
