I don't think actors should be forced / manipulated / cajoled / pushed into stories they don't want to do nor do I think they should have to give an explanation as to why they don't want to do it. I have a lot to say on this subject

#The intimacy and creativity of acting in Hollywood specifically has gotten lost to its commodification #but acting is still an art. Acting is still a deeply personal experience in which the actors in question reach within themselves as a means #to present a complete and vulnerable human on screen. To force someone to do that... to dance for a violent and fickle audience... is so #unspeakably cruel to me. We live in a world that's been stripped of all nuance. You're either “good” or you're “bad” and if you make a #choice that the masses don't agree with you are required to give a step by step explanation detailing why #(often with the inclusion of personal details to “validate” your decision)#otherwise you're “bad.”#It's such a somber and bleak world we're living in. In all ways but especially from an artistic perspective.#Things are so ugly out here and they're only getting uglier and more hostile for those who exist to create.#Anyway. As I said. I have many thoughts on this topic.
