remembering very abruptly that i desperately need to work on lowering my cholesterol levels. anyone got any advice
#especially since i dont plan on getting any blood tests while im overseas. against my GPs wishes LMAO#im seein a LOT of recipes involving beans. im not like against them on principle but i will say#my diet up until this point in my life has Not involved beans. pretty much at all ._.#so i am hesitant to start (dont know what they taste like/texture/how to prepare them/eat them)#but what else is there. hmm#of course the other option is to become a fucking marathon runner or to increase my exercise a LOT#and like uhh. well i can try walking more but 😭#my cholesterol has never been like. EXTREMELY over its usually like just above or borderline the upper limit of recommended levels#so wait actually thinking back on it luckily T hasnt made much of a difference? its always been around that level lmao#but my family has a history of problems with it so i gotta take care of that shit NOW#oh right forgot why i needed to edit the tags. also recipes im seeing with sooo many ingredients and shit i simply dont have (processor??!!#or a blender either im not sure)#PLEASE I DONT ACTUALLY WANNA START JOGGING

Everyone at the physio office liked and complimented my silly hot pink stars outfit :)

Also they shot lasers at my shoulder to make it stop sucking. Idk how that's supposed to work but I guess it's worth a try
#it didn't cost any extra so hey why not. shoot lasers at me go crazy#mod post#mod pic#physiotherapy#i also got an upper back and shoulders massage and a session with the kinesiologist#to go over exercises and stretches i should be doing#so even if the lasers are bullshit it was a productive session

man. why can't my brain just find normal ways to self soothe
#we could be doing breathing exercises or some shit but nooooo#instead we're sitting in the back room banging out rhythms on my upper chest/collarbone#the pressure and repetitiveness calms me down. there's like 3-4 beats i cycle though and i don't know WHY it works so well but it just does#it's stupid#but genuinely nothing works quite as well

#idk why I’m putting this in tags instead of an actual post#this is a postitive thing#anyway#i’ve been ‘working out’ (in quotations bc it’s very small and short but it’s still exercise!)#and i’m actually seeing results??#I’m mostly working on my upper body/arms bc of vanity reasons#anyway my biceps and my back look. dare I say. kinda hot.#and I can do like ten more consecutive push-ups than when I started!#which again isn’t a lot but it’s progress and I’m proud#anyway I gotta work on my cardio for actual health reasons not vanity ones#It’s just still kinda really hard to get out of the house#I wanna start doing the uphill trail near my house again but it’s hard to motivate myself alone#and like my dad would go with me but he makes a lot of ‘jokes’ about my health and fitness level that are actually kinda hurtful#he made one of those in front of the friend I did it with a couple weeks ago#and it didn’t ruin my sense of accomplishment but it also definitely didn’t feel great#I know he doesn’t mean anything by it but like. I kinda wish he could just be supportive or even normal about it.#this got off topic#I’m happy for myself and feeling good in my body#I’ve got a ways to go but I’ve given myself a really solid start#personal#fitness
