Can someone more versed in chess hypothesize as to why Valentinus might've had this particular piece everywhere in his study?

Theory: Given Valentinus' interest in the Listeners, could it be possible that all the Orphans at the Monad House were, at least, of that bloodline? It could explain how Romeo gained the ability to communicate with the Ergo in puppets and why his echo continues to linger on even after his defeat?

IDK if it's possible that all the orphans were of the bloodline, but I think he definitely could've been like...watching for signs of it in all the kids.

Honestly, my brain is so fried from LoP theorizing I wanted to leave this for a day where I could gather up a bunch of screenshots and talk about this, but I'm just going to put this here instead and maybe circle back to it eventually! Perhaps others can add something, too.

That one dialogue where Sophia talks about being a listener with her mother, might give some more insight into this.
