y'know, over the 17 years I've followed the sport, I've shed very few tears over F1. a few tears of sadness, a few more tears of joy.

when the 2021 season wrapped up, I thought I was done crying. genuinely, I thought there would be nothing more for me to cry about, sadness or joy, since all of my favorite drivers were gone, so many of them having gone through shitty treatment. I was done with the sport even though I had loved it for near fifteen years at that point.

since then, I've shed tears of joy for an unexpected pole position, tears of sadness for a race gone horribly wrong and then tears of joy again after seeing a driver's childhood dream come true. I know it might seem unfair and hopeless at times but there is something about this sport that is so different to anything else.

feel the things you are feeling but give the sport a chance despite all of that. I'm sure glad that I did.

I REALLY heavily connect music to everything I do so I'm trying to compile an F1 playlist would LOVE to see songs you love and what they remind you of for F1 and drivers in the comments and tags and in my asks, and if you send me a driver I'll tell you what song I associate with them

My tierlist.

1. My GOAT is the reason I started watching F1.

2. I started to believe in Oscar Piastri's WDC potential. I see the vision of op81 fans and am right there with them.

3. Valtteri is such a cool guy; I have always liked him since his days at Williams, especially James, and this is Valtteri thing.

Esteban is such a nice guy that there is nothing to dislike, at least off track.

Yuki; My fellow of the same height, a person of colour, is coming to F1, and you think I am not supporting him? I am right there.

Guanyu fashion is 🤌🏽 - However, his driving skills are lacking, which is unfortunate.

I believed in the Charles WDC potential talks in 2019 and 2020; Ferrari has fucked him over numerous times, but Charles, when is your villain era coming? It should have happened in 2022. Both he and Ferrari fumbled.

4. I tolerate all of the people in this tier, and my opinion of them is largely based on their relationship with Lewis.

5. Lance Stroll, I used to root for you, my fellow Canadian, but some shady things he had done, such as pushing his trainer, made me dislike him.

Carlos is here because the Spanish media treats him as if he is on the same level as Charles, despite the fact that the talent gap is greater than most people realize. Anyone who is liked by the Spanish media, I am the polar opposite.

Daniel "It is all noise and distractions." PRicciardo, I am not moved by his bubble and smiley guy persona.

Alex "They race me too hard" or "it is just karma" (when discussing AD2021) Albon. Carlos will reveal your mediocrity in 2025, and Franco is already doing so.

Alonso, where do I start? First and foremost, his entire incident with Spanish gp blackface in 2007, which he chose to ignore when it was his countrymen doing it, and calling Lewis a clown for dressing however he wants. He is a talented driver, however, and there is a reason he has won 2x WDC.

6. Max has his own category solely for the AD2021 thing (i don’t blame him fuck masi), which I understand is a sport but I just do not like, as well as the whole defeding Nelson Piquet thing. I like his honesty in some things, like how he just says what he thinks, but Max, you will never have a fan in me, but I can respect you are a talented mf.

7. The British media, his fans, and even some members of Team LH believe he is all that. He threw away so many wins after Miami that they are dismissing it as nothing; imagine if Lewis, Max, or Charles were doing that. They would be crucified, but little Lando Norris cannot handle the pressure. This man reignited my haterism for sports; I had not hated anyone since 2022, when Real Madrid won the Champions League. If he wins a championship before Leclerc, with a car faster than anyone since Canada or Spain, I will not be moved. Took 6 seasons for him to finally win races.

- That is all. Franco would probably go in the “i like you” category because he is my fellow TeamLH guy.

watching the midfield/backrunners of f1: Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon are roleplaying Javert and Hugh Jackman in a Les Miserables fight to mutually assured destruction over a no-points position. Lewis Hamilton is going to physically fight his own car to the death. Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo are going to physically fight each other to the death, but Daniel has a disadvantage because Lance Stroll has a sniper rifle aimed at his head. The Saubers are rewriting the federalist papers in the pits. Kevin Magnussen has planted a bomb on the track, and the blast has inevitably caught a Williams.

The fact that James Vowles has publicly criticized Christian Horner for his treatment of Alex when he's doing the same to Logan as we speak is baffling.

Nearly everyone figured Logan wouldn't be re-signed at the end of this season, even his biggest supporters.

Let him go with dignity. Shop around privately. You think a guy like Carlos Sainz, who was very very very publicly dropped for a World Champion wasn't already looking for anywhere to go? You think Valtteri Bottas, who used to drive for Williams and Mercedes, doesn't know how to read the goddamn signs?

Australia was the beginning of the end for Williams and James's reputation, but my god did they just hit full send.

If James had not gone before the media, if this Esteban thing had only leaked and there was no other backing info like James's soundbites, I would bet you all the money in the world, there would be plenty more people defending Williams.
