Vampire AU feat. Ansy

A little something funny after the last DxP update based on a silly convo I had with @nartothelar (also someone on IG commented they wanted to bite me for The Angst that happened so here’s your bitey revenge? XD)

Ingo would feed much more ravenously while hungry, but I can see him exercising some serious self control for his female friend with PTSD, taking only a bit so he can move again ;u; Meanwhile Ansy, like me, really doesn’t do well with things like blood tests (like getting hurt & bleeding is one thing, it’s a whole other thing to get her blood drawn or seeing someone’s blood being drawn T7T).

This quirk adds an extra silly layer to her friendship with vampire Ingo (& Emmet, when he’s also a vampire), especially when combined with her caring for her friends. Also yes, she ran from his & Emmet’s apartment to the blood bank & back, going “OH NO! OH NO! OH NO!” the whole way XD

(Also, personal HC: they always carry stuff to give any immediate first aid for willing “blood donors” - water, juice, snacks, warming pads, etc. Safety first!)

PS: I’d place this between the events of BW2 & Kalos, so before her pixie cut days, hehe.

okay I really intended to draw something normal for my first drawings of Ingo and Emmet but. Something something. Uh. The Demons. 🫶 I hope y’all like bad cheesy AUs here‼️ you may have to futz with your brightness and do some zooming in to see…anything.

The rest of the comic is below the cut along with some extra drawings. I’ll rb with just the panels instead of the whole pages and close-ups of the text in the extra doodle page. Uhh…I think that’s it!

All is well! …as well as it can be. They have to stay “alive”, the subway depends on them.

I planned out so little of this AU. I just had a vague vision of a short comic for the Subway Masters and wanted to practice drawing some gore again in hopes that I can achieve the same skill levels as The Old Master (13 year old me)…and then Make A Terrible Comic Day 2024 rolled around and so I figured I’d just ball and do it…I think I may have gotten a little too invested in it for it to qualify but oh well, it’s good practice!

The idea was that (post-Ingo and maybe Emmet getting teleported across centuries and returning…please Nintendo-) a vampirism/zombie virus slowly starts going through Nimbasa. The Subway, being a bustling center of travel, gets hit perhaps the worst and the quickest. Ingo and Emmet get turned rather quickly and try to hide it. They grow very reclusive, lurking around the shadows and the dark tunnels. The depot agents are the only ones who’ve really heard from them since, but aren’t intent on helping authorities find them. The virus is supposed to have drastic effects on the mind, causing severe aggression and the like, but through some miracle, the brothers’ minds seem to stay in tact. It’s assumed it may have to do with lingering effects of the time travel.

They fr become a Phantom(s) of the Subway situation to outsiders and mad-scientist-locking-himself-away-in-his-study-as-he-falls-to-his-hubris situation to the depot agents. But mostly they’re okay! They keep the Subway running and try to stay healthy and prevent further decay of their minds!

also Elesa is here, Elesa is thrown off but doesn’t stop hanging out with them. She tries to help them where she can, and also keeps them in check when she can. She wants the best for them but hasn’t survived stardom this long by being gullible and naive.

Worry not anon!! It was half of her fault to begin with xD

(Y'know that floaty feeling you get when you lose blood but imagine that amplified a bit due to Ingo's vampire toxins that would numb the pain from the bite mixing in. Kinda like she got high for a mere moment.)

Though, of course it would prove fatal if Ingo, being the good bf he is, realized too late, but managed to notice Elesa was quiet for way too long. (Plus he always tells Elesa before any feeding starts, is for her to either tap or push him away if he gets too carried away, thing is she gets too carried away during it lol)

But Ingo is there for immediate resucitation (is that the word?) and a good reprimanding! So alls well and good

Does Emmet (or Ingo) freak out when it’s becoming daylight because he thinks Ingo will get hurt?

Research was done at this point to determine that not all vampires are affected by sunlight in the same way. For some it’s only a mild annoyance but for others their skin will start to burn and flake off as ashes.

Thankfully for ingo, sunlight just causes a very bad sunburn on his skin. Putting specific sunscreen developed for vampires actually allows him to stay in the sun for a little bit! Tho he still tends to avoid staying too long in the sun sksks

TW: blood tests, fainting

Vampire!Ingo & Ansy are back for a little PSA: don’t be afraid to tell the nurse if you’re feeling off after / during getting your blood drawn. From my experience, they usually respond quickly, giving you water / juice or whatever else you need.

As an aside, if anyone wants any writing references for what almost fainting during one is like, I have a fresh memory from doing labs earlier lol XDXD
