schrsto au (shorthand name) takes place ehhhhh about a year or so after the defeat of the king. everyone's in post game, more or less! the four saviors (mira, odile, siffrin, and bonnie), alongside nille and amber (a cat) have been traveling vaugarde for awhile now, and return to dormont at the anniversary of The End Of The End Of The World to regroup and discuss their next plans- whether theyll continue traveling together, split up for the time being, where they should go, etc etc you get itttttt

of course, once they arrive in dormont, things are going great! foooor about. two days. then things start getting weird. the group gets oddly tense and anxious, weird things are happening around town (have been happening since they left a year ago, apparently), and now nille's friends are behaving strangely.

siffrin's been zoning out more often and for longer stretches, mira's getting paranoid, bonnie refuses to set foot in the house, and odile of all people is having fairly frequent nightmares. nille- the only one unaffected by this (besides the cat)- decides to see if she can do something to help.

in her scouring for solutions, however, she manages to accidentally dig up something that should probably have been left buried. things proceed to spiral out of control from there.

extra little notes: - bonnie is almost always wearing the cape. they like it because its cozy and it makes them look like frin and belle! - siffrin's a bit more distant after they beat the king. it's not a severe change in behavior, but it's notable. he seems to be more nightmare and hallucination prone, and will sometimes zone out for short periods. It's Probably Fine. - amber was a stray they found upon revisiting jouvente. her collar led to a locked, empty apartment and the group came to the conclusion that her owner abandoned her while trying to flee the curse. bonnie proceeded to beg their sister and odile to let them keep her. - when it didnt work initially, mirabelle and siffrin chipped in their thoughts. and by chipping in their thoughts i mean siffrin bombarded them with nonstop cat puns until they gave. - nille and siffrin get along like a house on fucking fire. it's deeply concerning for everyone else. theyre banned from going on adventures alone together. they do it anyways. - mirabelle's just started to properly unpack her situation with attraction, with the help of siffrin of course. it's been going far slower, but growth is a process ya know? - odile had read the familytale she borrowed front to back 3 times by the time they left dormont initially. it's been returned, but now shes on the hunt for a new one. - nille had a crush on mirabelle for awhile, which petered out after mira came out to the group. now she has one on odile. shes being so normal about it. - the group has been tutoring bonnie collectively so they dont miss out on their education. which is to say its mostly odile tutoring them and the others being wildly unhelpful. - nille and bonnie are amber's favorites. siffrin is her least favorite. (lmao)

The words to describe yours and Diego’s relationship would be “on and off”, as in, sometimes you were madly in love, sometimes you wanted to kill each other. He wouldn’t give up beating the shit out of people at night, and you weren’t ready to marry. You had found the ring box in his drawer two months back and literally fled. You didn’t know what he had planned, and as much as you love him this seemed like a big step. Currently, you and Diego are off. You and Diego are way off. So off that you’re on a date with another man right now.

But you’d be lying if you said you weren’t comparing everything about this man to Diego. Especially the fact that this man was absolutely dull and miserable. You were hoping he was fun so you could go back to his place and then sneak out at dawn with your heels in your hand and your hair a mess. Just to see if someone else could take Diego’s place for a night. Instead, you called Diego to pick you up from the bar from the pay phone near the bathrooms. You were polite, if not a little terse, with your date as you bid him goodnight and slid into the back seat of Diego’s car.

“Excuse?”

“For what?”

“What excuse did you use for that man? He just let you leave a date with another man?”

“Oh,” you had to laugh, “I told him I was feeling ill and that my driver was coming to get me.”

“Oh I’m your driver now? Is that why you got in the back? In this shitty car?”

“Uh huh.”

“He knows you can’t afford a driver, right?”

“Probably.”

Diego laughs as he shakes his head and pulls away from the bar. The drive is quick, quicker than you want it to be. You’d hate to admit it but the way Diego keeps glancing back at you through the mirror is driving you wild. He looks like he want to devour you, or better yet, tear you to little fucking pieces. What you wouldn’t give (besides your dignity) to grab him or to crawl into his lap and try to do something risky while he drove. You find yourself fidgeting with the top you chose for the night, one of his favorites actually, to make sure it showed off enough skin. He pulls up to parallel park in front of your building, and you slide forward on the seat to talk a little closer. He looks really good tonight, his long hair pushed back a bit, like he’d been running his hands through it. Like you’d like to do to it.

“Why were you even going on a date when you could just call me?” His voice is little more than a whisper.

“I thought I’d try getting over you this time, by getting under someone else.” That sounds fucking lame to admit.

“G-getting over me? That hurts, babe.”

“It was supposed to.”

“But you still called me.”

You did. You conceded. When you were off, there’s like this little game to see who can cave first. Who will call the other, who will say sorry first, who will inevitably end the break this time. Your guess is that this time it’s you. You surge forward a little more, hand with your house keys in it reaching for Diego’s cheek to pull him closer, to make him at a more comfortable angle for kissing. He wastes no time licking at your lips until they part and indulging in your mouth like a man dying of thirst. You can feel the rumble of a moan in his throat as his mustache tickles your face and you think, this is what i’ve been missing. This is what I need.

You pull back before you can do anything drastic, like grab at his crotch or climb into his lap. Cooler heads and logic prevailing, you remember you’re on a break.

“No, no, no. I know where this is gonna lead. We do not have the time for sex.”

“Sure we do. You don’t have anything to do tomorrow morning. Thats why you wore that shirt tonight.”

He was right.

“Was being with me so bad? You had to go on a date with Melvin back there because I did you so wrong?”

His eyes are a little glassy, and your can’t break your stare as you shake your head ‘no’ in response.

“Then what?” He presses.

You hesitate

“Found the ring... I got scared,” There might be a tear trickling down your face. He sighs, deeply.

“You’re sneaky. Can’t get anything past you,” But he smiles, “You’ve seen my hand, my cards are on the table. That rings not goin away, but you don’t need to take it until you’re ready, okay?”

You invite him in to your place to fuck your brains out, and make the decision to be ‘on’ again, maybe forever.

Kris: hey remus, I’m here. Nado is really freaking out. I drove him home but Olli and walker had to help me wrestle him into the car and into his house. Timmy is making us some food and Olli and Cap are trying to keep him from pulling out his hair. Is Kuny alright?

Remus: keep an eye on his hands, one of his ticks is scratching at his palms. They’ve scanned twice and it’s not a concussion. He’s got stitches both on his eyebrow and on his neck and he’s got to be out for a few days. I still don’t understand how he skated off. Tell Sirius to use his captain voice if needed.

Kris: yeah I’ve wrapped his hand up, they froze his knuckles at the rink but he’s kept fiddling with it. Walker rolled him into a burrito blanket and he’s quieted down a bit. But he’s not okay. Do you think Kuny can come home tonight?

Remus: I have to wait and hear, they said it’s depending on his x-ray - if it’s just a sprain in his hand he can come home so we’re just waiting. I’m glad no one here but Sergei understands Russian. I don’t think it’s very nice what he’s sayin.

Nado: he didn’t recognize me re... after he went down. He just looked at me and didn’t recognize me and I heard his head connect. His helmet was off before Nott threw him. How is he supposed to fight back when crouch swiped his leg?

Remus: I know. But even “just” hitting your head can cause some confusion and I promise you they scanned three times and he’s not got any concussion or bleeding. He’s tough ok? He’s asking if he can go home. Not very nicely might I add. And he flirted with a nurse. He’ll be ok.

Nado: but I heard it crunch. He was bleeding a lot. Is she cute?

Remus: I know, face cuts bleed a lot but he’s got quite a few stitches and he did well. He even got a lollipop and I’m pretty sure at least one phone number. Also Tall blonde with a nice smile.

Remus: hey kris. It sounds like they’re letting him come home. Sergei is going to drive us. Did you get Nado to go to bed? Also, I can stay over night. I think they both need a babysitter

Kris: I think we’re staying. Ava is with Anya and the kids and Olli is already crashed on the couch. Walker actually had to threaten Nado to stay in bed and he’s camped up next to him now. He’s not going anywhere. Timmy and I will crash in the guest room. Can Kuny sleep alone?

Remus: he’s on a lot of painkillers and he’s not entirely coherent. Sergei offered to stay with him to translate but I honestly think his English will come back once he’s slept and recovered a bit

Kris: their beds are like extra king size anyways. We can just make a sleep over in nado’s room. He’s gone and pulled down every blind and the house is dark. I’ve never seen him this stressed out.

Remus: yeha that might be best. Sergei says Kuny is asking for his brother. So I think it’s best for everyone. We’re leaving once Kuny gets his stuff back.

Can we talk about how SAAF y/n and H behave after a huge argument now that they’re a couple and they can’t really just dip like they’re use to?

Especially after their very first fight; it’s awkward.

They do kind of try to avoid each other for a bit afterwards. Dipping in and out of the room when they see the other, dodging each other’s eyes like school children, muttering a quick “sorry” when they accidentally run into the other. When she goes into the hotel room to grab her phone charger, and she sees him on the bed flipping through television channels, she sort of just gives him a half-assed smile and grabs what she needs and leaves.

The two of them both know they need to suck it up and just talk.

He is so used to just letting things fizzle out on their own, and she is used to running away.

I think he reaches a point after two days of silence that he finds her in Sarah’s dressing room, and requests to speak with her alone. He locks the door behind him, sits backwards in a chair and just stares at her like he’s the parent waiting for his child to apologize.

“I don’t like not talking to you.”

“And I don’t like being told you regret being with me.”

“I didn’t mean that—”

And that’s where it begins; the boiling point finally reaches the brim and bubbles over.

“I don’t like telling you I don’t like dating people, and then deciding to date you anyway, and then you go ahead and tell me you regret it!”

And she got him there.

Yeah, he deserves her cold shoulder. Hell, when the news began to spread about the topic of their fight, it wasn’t just her acting a little quieter around Harry.

“I know when you’re stressed or mad you say shit you don’t mean, but really, Harry? You say that? I should leave, you know. Just go home. I thought about it. I got as far as booking a ticket, twice, and cancelling it.”

And now he’s the child being scolded by their parent.

“I only stayed because I need the money…and you know that. I’m broke without this job. I’m sure I could get my server job back, but it can’t pay all the bills.”

“I regret dragging you into this.”

He runs his hands down his face in defeat, rubbing at his eyes angrily with his knuckles. The guilt has ate at him since the very first time there was an article about him with a mystery woman, and the fans were like piranhas trying to figure out who you were. He feels lucky that photos are far and few, but the hate will forever linger as long as you are by his side, and he knows he can’t protect you from everything.

The flashbacks of Eleanor getting attacked by fans at the airport make his stomach turn, and he does everything he can to prevent that from happening to you.

From the very first day, all he has wanted to do was protect you, but being with him comes with his battles – ones that you overlook – but he nevertheless sees them with every turn of his head.

“I am tired of seeing you get hurt over what they say about you.”

Even with a brave smile, he can always see right through you.

Last week alone, you blocked 15 hate pages on Instagram, and 30 on Twitter. Even with all of your social media on private, they still were able to find you with a blink of the eye, but I guess it wasn’t hard when his entire family follows you.

i actually do no enjoy reading like actual books x/////x but for manga!!! i prefer to read physical paper copy. just because i can actually pay attention more than if i read it digitally online (like an ebook). but i don’t mind digital!

4) When did you start writing?

i will say i started writing my own story i 7th grade middle school, but that’s LONG forgotten. hell, i don’t even know where that file went. but officially, 9th grade freshmen year high school. first fanfiction wow... it’s still not even complete! discontinued

5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?

@robogill!!!! best editor ever!! the Ken-san to my Nozaki! i swear i put him through so much bc i send him like quick, word vomit kinda drafts and he has to go through that. i bounce so many ideas off him too (so he’s also just my wall) that even sometimes i feel bad if like he likes an idea but as i write i want to tweak or change bc, you know, make things flow better or just changed my mind, and then i’m like ‘oooh shit nooo i’m sorry it’s differeeennntttt’ and yeah.

6) Where is your favorite place to write?

either my room on the bed or at my desk. bed bc comfort, but at the same time, i think i focus more at my desk. or, if there’s no one home, on the living room couch. again, focus better.

7) Favorite childhood book?

can’t say i had one.... i mean, i liked the Geronimo Stilton series i think. 

8) Writing for fun or writing for publication?

fun. maybe one day i’ll try publication for picture books tho. 9) Pen and paper or computer?

oh gosh computer. time saver. and waaaayyyy easier to go back and change/edit. plus spell check and grammar check. the pros out list the pros of pen and paper, even though i do sometimes enjoy the feeling of writing random words haha!

10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?

there was one high school creative writing elective in senior year. it was alright. wish i chose to work on my own than what the class was doing like what my teacher offered, but that’s alright! i was gonna do a creative writing elective again in college, but shit got fucked up and nope!

11) What inspires you to write?

mmmmmm..... a lot. could be little things i saw like ‘oh huh that’d be a cool thing in a fic’ or sometimes music, other stories, FAIRYTALES, know what. it’d be easier to just ask me ‘what inspired this fic/this part’ and i can tell you!

I can tell you that support will help you a lot. It will take a bit, but coming out of that shy shell will feel like you've been reborn, I used to be super shy with my co-workers cause they used to call me weird, but after working at the shop for as long as I have, I've come out of that and I'm more comfortable being myself and not worry about them calling me weird, cause in the end, weird is good, it's unique and uplifting. I'm sure one day you'll be able to come out of your shell too

Therefore that post ceased to exist yes fml)Basically Vixy got too sidetracked and kind of forgot about me because of her boyfriend and her best friend (and I thought I WAS her best friend or at least one of them, but it certainly doesn't feel like it /-\) so I tried to distance myself from her last semester because that's the advice a friend gave me but.. I couldn't bring myself to move away from her or anything because I'm just naturally clingy, I grew up with my best friend (we'll call her E) and wasn't used to have nobody to talk to, I got lonely too quickly but I'm horrible at socializing. I guess shy is the wrong word, I mean I can talk to people? But I immediately think I'm bothering everyone out of habit since I talk so much about video games and art and junk that nobody gives a damn about. Overall, I couldn't distance myself, so there's a girl named Alicia who's been such a booster for me tbh. She met me last semester, but she said she didn't attempt to talk to me because I seemed emotionally distressed and a lot of the time people like that generally don't want to be bothered. Well, she ended up in my art class this semester and she sat with me and another friend and after a single day, I immediately trusted her because she was so open and willing to talk to me about anything. Let's be honest, she probably couldn't give a damn about Mario, but I started babbling about Fawful like I fucking idiot and next thing I know,I'm replaying Bowser's Inside Story, sending her pictures of Fawful's dialogue and eventually sending her other garbage things that she's more than happy to learn about, and she's frequently asking me to send her my doodles and pictures of characters I'm talking about. I got her addicted to Fawful, King Boo, and @nighty-crystal-art's oc Mimeo, and she's helped me talk to Nighty and Jordan (who I don't want to tag bc I don't want to bother them whoooops..) so she's just been so so uplifting and has been helping me a lot with my self esteem.Believe me this would've been longer, previously I wrote more about what Vixy's been doing but I'm gonna keep this on a good note and talk about Ally instead.. ♡ regardless, it's been super stressful, so I've just been relying on whatever little art there is of Popple, Fawful, Dimentio, Antasma, and other characters I've grown attached to in an attempt to make me feel better. tell me about your photoshop troubles. i have had the same in the past (specifically #THE AMOUNT OF VIRUSES I'VE HAD ON MY COMPUTER) and it's good to know someone else has them too 😂😂

Okay so it started last week. I've been "Photoshopping" things for years now but I've always used knockoff programs and never bothered to get the actual thing. So I decide to make an edit and I want to try using actual Photoshop this time, so FIRST I go to download the episodes but the fucking download program I got,,,,, it's in GERMAN. So I'm opening google translate and attempting to do this download, then it just crashes and it doesn't work. So then I get a rec from my friend for a good ENGLISH WORKING SAFE program so I get that and download it and the episodes. Day 1 is over. Next day I decide to download photoshop and fucking,,,,,, it's in SPANISH. Now I've been taking Spanish for 3 years now so it's to the point where I'm like "Okay I know that archivo means file so I'm just gonna stick with this" so I run downstairs and I pick up that old Spanish English dictionary I bought 3 years ago for my first Spanish class and haven't opened since, and I'm looking for the freaking import button, and the program itself DOESNT HAVE AN IMPORT BUTTON (I even clicked on that thing that was like 'show all menu options' or something like that, it still wasn't there, no import button) so THAT concludes my experience with Español Photoshop. The rest of Day 2 is downloading as many different photoshop links as I can find, just trying to find ONE that worked. I swear to God and Jesus I'm not exaggerating when I say I downloaded hundreds of things, I can open my laptop and check for the exact number but I swear it was at least 150 different things. Out of all of those, 6 of them worked. Number one was the Spanish one, and then the next one? In Italian. It worked perfectly but it was in Italian and this was one of the earlier downloads, I'm still full of hope, not just desperate for anything that says "Photoshop" on it, so I delete. Next one was Portuguese, and the one after THAT was Japanese. All of these claimed to be in English and btw I learned from my series of photoshop adventures that you can't change the language, it's connected to where you downloaded from and you have to pay to change it. So at this point I'm PRETTY far into the list of like 150 downloads, and out of the 4 that had worked so far, they were all in different languages. So understandably I'm getting very frustrated and I keep downloading things, and then finally, oh thank the lord finally, it's in English and it's working. Tears of joy running down my face-- and then my laptop just shuts off. I wait for it to power back on and then I get a little notification, it had found a virus and had to remove it. So I check and of course, English Photoshop was the virus it got rid of. So then, maybe 15 downloads later, that's when things got interesting. I find another working download, but the language of it is what's weird. It's half in English, half in Spanish. I don't ever want to look at another foreign word again. Sorry to my Spanish teacher, but this was like my 12th hour doing this and why are there so many languages to download photoshop in???? I was so exhausted, I couldn't do it anymore. I didn't want to settle at Half English though, so I delete it and keep looking. I kept looking for a while, until finally giving up. Six downloads had worked, and I couldn't use any of them. Now I think this is a good time to tell you that I'm currently having finals week, and instead of studying, THIS was what I've been doing (and it definitely didn't do anything to ease my anxiety levels). So I go and study for a few hours, figuring I'm done with Photoshop. But that's not who I am, when I spend so much time trying to do something, I'm gonna do it. Not out of determination, but it comes to a point where I'm doing it out of spite, just to say that I finally did it. So it's around 3am and I'm like "Okay I'm gonna download a few more and then I'm going to sleep" so I start downloading some and then around the third one, it's in English and it works. You can imagine my tears of joy. So I turn on FRIENDS and go the hell to sleep. Now it's day 3, I have the downloaded episodes and I have the working English photoshop, now all I have to do is make the edit, right? Wrong. I go to put the video into photoshop, and it's saying it's the wrong file type and it's not supported by Photoshop. So at first I'm like "okay that's understandable, I did just download them" so my FIRST problem is downloading a file converter. I'm not going to get into the story, but it's pretty similar to how it took to download Photoshop, hundreds of downloads, the only ones that worked are in foreign languages, and THIS was the day where I get the most notifications from my computer saying it located viruses. Now after a long long long time downloading tons of file converters, I finally find one to use. So I go to convert the files and then I try and put the converted files into photoshop and whoooop it didn't work. Now the rest of Day 3 consisted of me converting the files into HUNDREDS of different types. I converted them into basic things, things Photoshop claimed it supported, things all the people with similar problems online claimed they needed to convert into, things I hadn't even heard of. In the end, after around 15 hours of converting files, I FINALLY found something that photoshop will take. Now onto Day 4, this should be the easy day, now I just have the make the edit. Well my very first problem is that now I'm opening photoshop and I realize something, this has been going on so long I can't even remember what my idea to edit was. So then I'm just like "whatever I'll gif a random scene and put a meme on it, I gotta do something" So I go to make the gif, when I find out THE FREAKING PHOTOSHOP I DOWNLOADED DOESNT HAVE THE ANIMATION TIMELINE. I don't know why it didn't have it, but it didn't. So I end up going online and downloading the timeline separately, basically using it kinda like a psd. So I get the timeline and I want to make the gif and remove some frames, but for whatever reason my Photoshop doesn't let me select multiple frames at once, so I have to go through like 500 frames and manually delete each of them to get what I want. Now I think now is the time in this story to tell y'all that I'm not just stupid or anything. I know how to use Photoshop, I've been using it since I was in the sixth grade, I used to be in the digital editing club at my school, I know how to use photoshop, it's just this program is so wacky nothing is working. So manually I delete like 450 frames and after that everything with making the gif seems to be going well, up until it's time to add the text. I start typing and the font I'm using? Times New Roman. But instead these random symbols are showing up and it won't let me change it. So I just delete everything and start over and then I get up to adding text again, and this time symbols aren't showing up, instead just whatever letter I press, it just puts in a dash. So I'm tryna write the subtitles and instead what's coming up is "----------------" Now, after several several several redos it FINALLY starts writing letters, and there are a few more minor issues but for the most part everything is running smoothly, I finally make the gifs.So to conclude, this gifset took 4 days, 6 languages, hundreds of downloads, God-knows how many viruses, and an entire ocean of tears, but I finally made the gifs.Here's the link.
