Petition to Ban Generative AI

For citizens of the United Kingdom (Scotland, Wales, England, and Northern Ireland)

I've created a petition to the UK Government to place a Ban on Generative AI and review how to best regulate other AI/Machine Learning tools. Generative AI is being used to steal from artists hard work and is proving to be horrible for our environment.

While it may seem hopeless to stop this rise of Generative AI, it isn't! I was surprised to see that there weren't already pre-existing petitions for this, so I made one myself. I know it's a long way to go to stop Generative AI and protect our planet, but it's a start!

In all the discussions of British vs American English, I've never seen anyone bring this up.

In British English, this is a handbag:

and this is a purse:

A handbag is a bag, generally big enough to fit (at least) a phone, a purse, keys, tissues, maybe even a water bottle or umbrella, and whatever other miscellaneous things people carry around with them on a daily basis. A purse is much smaller, and is designed for money and cards. We do also have a gendered distinction between a purse (to simplify, an item like this aimed at women) and a wallet (an item like this aimed at men).

Whereas it seems (and Americans, do feel free to expand on this in the notes) that in American English a “purse” refers to the first item. I still haven't quite worked out whether the word can refer to both items or just the first one.

The difference in usage means that as someone from the UK, every time an American says something like, I don't know, “that guy grabbed that lady's purse and ran away!”, it makes me think “wait why did she have her purse out?”, and every time they refer to putting away some decently large item like a book “in their purse”, it makes me think “holy hell how massive is their purse?” before remembering that ohhhhh, they're most likely referring to what I would call a handbag.

The horns on their head are supposed to resemble an ibex's while the horn instrument is supposed to look like a kudu's horn (kinda). Also togas are really hard to draw!

And so Alex snaps back to reality and answers the question, after first letting out a long-suffering sigh that isn’t at all genuine:

“Why are there corpses in the river?” It seems a rather inefficient way to dispose of them. Could be a ritual thing, she supposes, but she hadn’t seen any dead people lying about urukheim so far. Except a few plastic fakes over in Whitby.

And the obvious.

Alex shrugs. “They fall in. Too much Old Peculiar.”

“Ah.”

“At least,” her smiles conspiratorially, and Cassie reflects on just how much cuter he looks when he isn’t tensed up or sucking on lemons, “that’s the official story. Not everyone buys it.”

Whatever Forever! Magazine

Welcome to whatever forever!'s collaborative magazine project founded in june 2025 by a group of art students. The main goal of this project is to CREATE. To us, it doesn't matter what you make, as long as you make something!

Each month a new theme is picked as the topic of the magazine, you are able take the theme as literal or metaphorical as you want. you can create as much or as little as you want - whether that be a single photograph or a whole article. The magazine's goal is to display everybody's creative abilities - and we want to give everyone as much creative control as possible. contributors are able to design and submit their own two page spread, rather than submit isolated works/photography. The pages are then collated into the magazine. we want to showcase everybody's indivuality, instead of moulding artworks to a cohesive design theme. The main point of whatever forever! is to create art, experiment, build community, but most of all, have fun!!

Whatever Forever! Magazine, is mostly non-selective, however, we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to hate speech, ai art, and explicit 18+ content (Artistic nudity is fine!) each page will be looked over by the board to ensure whatever forever! is a safe and welcoming space for everybody involved!

All mediums are accepted! Fashion, Art, Photography, writing, we want it all!

Each contributor is able to submit a maximum of two a4 pages / a full a3 page spread. we would prefer formatted pages - but if you would just like to send us your writing or photographs, thats fine too!

Random Thoughts

I find it funny how a lot of the art I like is often very dark, or architecturally gothic, but then you see my art which is silly cartoons. As a person, I've always had interests that have very stark contrasts.

MTG added Final Fantasy, and with the new Vehicle rule change, it can be assumed they might add Star Wars (because why would you make a rule change for one specific set that alters an entire format?). Thus, if this theory is true, it's possible we could have Kingdom Hearts in MTG.

General Hux is a very convincing spy.

Super Monkey Ball and Final Fantasy VI are both very aesthetically different, yet they both happen to be in my top video games of all time.

Britain is consistently better at writing than the US.

There are my deranged thoughts. Ask away.
