Summary: Zagreus has two separate encounters with two handsome strangers before getting on a train. He soon discovers that not only do the two men know each other, they’re both going his way. Anonymous three-way sex on a train ensues. As it turns out, sometimes experiences are best when shared.

Excerpt:

He waits for the ticket inspector to come by first. It wouldn’t do to be found missing from his seat before then, only to be caught occupying a space where he does not belong.

He orders a blanc-cassis; he smokes a cigarette while he drinks it. The intertwining of the tobacco and the alcohol helps keep him relaxed.

The drink makes him hungry. He wishes belatedly he had eaten something first.

When he has determined that he has dallied for long enough, he rises from his seat.

He finds compartment number 17 a few cars up. He doesn’t bother knocking—doesn’t see the need, if he’s already being expected. He slides open the compartment door… and at first he thinks he has made a grave mistake.

Because unexpectedly, the first thing his eyes lock onto is the blond-haired man he had met at the start of the morning.

“You…!” the man exclaims before falling silent, his look of surprise surely mirroring Zagreus’ own.

But then the man’s eyes flicker to the opposite side of the compartment, and that’s when Zagreus finally notices that the dark-haired man he had expected to see is here too. His own eyes are also wide, in reaction perhaps to Zagreus making his sudden appearance, but a second later they relax into a look of knowing recognition, a small glint in them as the corners of his mouth slowly curl upwards.

“Oh? Is this the one? The two of you have been acquainted already, then?”

“What did you…? How…?” The blond man continues to stumble over his words, his mind apparently grappling to understand the meaning of all this as much as Zagreus.

“I assure you I did nothing except use my own judgement,” the dark-haired man says stiffly, repudiating any notion of conspiracy with a haughty sniff before smiling again. “Oh, but this is a marvelous coincidence, isn’t it? Wouldn’t you say so, stranger?”

“I’m not sure exactly what’s going on,” Zagreus says slowly, his eyes darting between the two of them. “But… I’m here.”

The blond man’s stare stays fixated toward the dark-haired man for another moment, until his own expression shifts gradually into something similar to the other: roguish and suggestive.

“Oh…” he says, quickly followed by a deep chuckle. He turns to Zagreus. “Yes… you’re here.”

there is not enough femslash in batcest circles. the girls deserve to be just as weird about each other as the boys are. if BruDick gets to be weird father/son/brothers/lovers/friends/rivals/soulmates then it is only fair that Babs/Cass get to be mother/daughter/sisters/lovers too. Something about that deep intrinsic but undefinable love that is born out of trauma, especially if you consider Cass not knowing what healthy love looks like in the first place. i think it's fun and deserves just as much fandom content.

besides that, you can get even more niche with rarepairs like Helena/Steph. Huntress/Spoiler: Blunt Trauma is already a fantastic comic and even though it's their only real canon interaction it has so much potential. very comparable to TimJay in how Helena tries to get Steph to understand her morals and the corruption you could play with it.

that comic also highlights on how both Steph and Helena are outcasts of the Batfamily and don't have the approval of Bruce to be doing what they do in "his city". I think there's so much Potential in Helena taking Steph under her wing because Bruce won't let her in and it becomes a weird codependent toxic sapphic mess. I think the protectiveness Helena feels over Steph from the get-go is so clear and the way she wants to look out for Steph, wants to make sure Steph understands the real world? I love them. Helena should be allowed to steal Steph, actually. I think it'd be fun.

there are a lot of other possibilities too like Babs/Steph or even getting weird with Helena Bertinelli/Helena Wayne and the existential question of "is it selfcest or not." But these two specifically live in my head rent-free, especially Helena/Steph and one day I'll convince everyone else to ship it too.

This idea that a teenager going through a hard time doesn’t matter because it’s “teen drama” is utterly absurd to me. Do y’all not remember being teenagers? Do y’all not remember being bullied and treated like you were less than human by adults but also forced into a level of responsibility they claimed you should be “grateful” for? My freshman year of high school DESTROYED my confidence and self-esteem that I’m still struggling to gain back. Have some goddamn compassion.
