still cant believe that the 2001 prototype of jsrf actually had the characters using their facial expressions more. the final game uses them but only in the start/end cutscenes where they skate around.

look at yoyo. hes dancing in the garage when hes not being played as with that fuckass smile on his face. they robbed him of his joy and whimsy in the final by taking that away from him and forcing him to use the blank default

its also nearly impossible to get a good look at it but when he stands still hes also always grinning. hes just fucking happy to be there. or a smug little shit. probably both

friend had the game credits absolutely fuck up. like camera, character pathing, everything. im especially obsessed with how yoyo skates backwards into a bus, gets hit and then the game fucking cuts to black.
