Example Title: Week In Review (10 - 12 April)
Yes I skipped a week - who knew just how much time week in reviews took 🙃 was so busy last week that I had no time to do it at all!
🍊 Last Saturday we were invited to our friend's house over for a Lunar New Year lunch - homemade yee sang and home cooked food were just the icing on the cake, it felt so good to chill and hang out with them! I baked some of my Aunty Jenny's chocolate almond slices as a door gift(?) for them as well teehee
🧧 On Sunday we went to Chinatown to catch the lion dance performance - so nice to see a little bit of home / culture when you’re overseas :’) also we got dumplings for lunch and bubble tea for desert yum 🥟🧋
🍋 Sometime last week we bought a gigantic pack of ai yu bing and so we’ve had it for dessert a couple times this week hehe
📷 I listed my Sony ZV-1 for sale and managed to get a willing buyer at a good price within the same week!
💊 Had a stomach upset on Thursday and so had to take a few hours off work 🥺 Five Pagoda powder is truly still the best remedy for upset stomachs
📦 Our boxes from SG -> US -> Canada finally arrived! Unfortunately in 2 boxes I had put dehumidifiers, which had absorbed so much water they exploded in transit 🥲 the weekend was spent cleaning up all the affected items, but I can truly say that all my barang-barang are finally with me! 😌
💵 My pay FINALLY came in on Friday at 5pm! This time using the Wise bank account worked hallelujah~ Feels so good to be earning money / having it in my bank account again.
🍜 With my newly minted “sugar mummy” status (loljk I kid) I treated Jon to pho - feels good to be able to treat ourselves to a nice meal :)
📸And due to both selling my camera + having my pay come in, it was time… I paid a visit to Gosselin Camera in downtown MTL to see if they had a silver Sony A7C in stock and THEY DID. AND there was a seasonal sale that would give me $250 off the listed price!! Needless to say, reader, I am now the proud owner of a nifty full frame camera 😊
🌨️ It has also been snowing like crazy this whole week - the streets are chock full of it, and every 2-3 days another snowstorm starts. Just today it’s been snowing non-stop! And next week the weather will drop to the -20s oh dear 🥶
